Came here and it was a pleasant experience for us. We ordered Pad Se Ewe, Tom Yum, and Fried Rice. All was great. Hospitality wise, we really appreciate the friendliness of their staff. Our table was set beautifully and the food staff was very friendly. The premise was clean and the lights were dimmed at the perfect level. Bathroom was perhaps the best one at a restaurant I’ve ever visited for a long time. I’d definitely recommend this place.

So, so good! The red duck curry was amazing! Loved the coconut rice and the pad cashew nut chicken. So glad I ate here!
Ingrid Barton
Lovely food, with a great range. Servings were a good size and the people were prompt and polite.

I order red curry duck, coconut rice and chicken satay. The red curry was too sweet even Chicken satay too. The staff was very friendly and good services but not the foods

Have never done a google review but this time it must be said. Hands down the worst (not sure if you can call it this) Thai food I’ve had in my life. Delivery. Started well with spring rolls but who can’t make spring rolls. Pad Thai was mad with thin hokkien noodles (or two minute noodles). Chicken was dry and the flavour way off. Now, the basil beef stir fry….not sure if we got the wrong order but there was nothing that resembled a basil stir fry sauce. Admittedly, the beef wasn’t as dry as the chicken from pad Thai but the sauce was a bland watery blah. Lucky we ordered roti to mop the mess up. Unfortunately, we got 4 quarters of over cooked bread that would’ve been better if you didn’t have corn chips. Worst of all is that I initially ordered @43 but there was an issue with payment, went to this place and paid a similar price. $60 for two people. Unless this is an anomaly, never order from this place….ever.

Always reliable local thai place. Never been disappointed and will go back time and time again cause they make really nice thai. Staff are lovely and welcoming. But most of the time we take away.
Claire Narracott
Really nice food and super generous portions. The staff were lovely!

Ordered via uber eats. The meat was dry, flavourless except for the after taste of burnt food. $30 in the bin. WORST thai food I've ever eaten.
Angie Pyke
Both Chris and I enjoyed our food. The Tom yum soup was full of flavour and the right size as to not fill you up. I had the beef stir fry which was very tasty and Chris had the seafood sizzle plate which was amazing so much so I'm having it next time The food came out quick and the price is very reasonable so were the drinks. All in all very satisfied.

Lovely dinner with friends last nite ! Its one off my favourite thi restaurant in the local area

My new Favourite Local Thai. !! Green curry and coconut rice is the greatest. Chicken stir fry rice is also 10/10
Kelly Aarons
My favourite thai restaurant , everything is so FRESH . Best ever prawn red curry .

I used to come here over 5 years ago as a regular. At that time the food was great and authentic tasting. Recently ordered again through menu log. And I got the most horrible pad Thai. Did not taste like how I remembered. Orange looking, dry meat, and way too sour. Couldn’t get much sweetness at all. I also ordered the curry puffs and satay chicken with peanut sauce cause they used to be my favourite especially the peanut sauce, but again dry chicken and sauce has changed. I don’t know if management changed or they have dropped their standards. Doesn’t taste like Thai at all.

Very quick delivery at no charge which is always a plus. We ordered a vegetable and chicken stir fry, chicken noodles, Tom yum soup, green chicken curry and coconut rice. The food is pretty tasty, everything has the right amount of spice and they were very generous with the vegetables and chicken. The only drawbacks were that the green curry had a bit too much curry so that it was too runny and the noodles were also a little too runny. However for the price and the quick delivery this will definitely be one of our go to restaurants for Thai food.

We ordered take away and had the green chicken curry which was average at best, the vegetables weren't great, seemed like they'd just chucked in shavings of whatever vegetables they had. The roti bread was a tiny serve, not worth the amount we paid for it. Wasn't very impressed with the food here.

Me and my girlfriend made a booking to eat in at Little Thai Kitchen on a frosty Friday Night. We walked there because we only live 2 blocks away and we promised ourselves to try it. After arriving we realised we probably didn't need to book as we were one of about 3 other tables eating in. It was busy with take away and delivery orders though.

The setting is pretty intimate with dimmed lighting and soft Thai music playing. Service was great and staff were really friendly. The food was amazing, we started with the Mixed Little Thai which was a small assortment of appetisers. Favourites were the spring rolls closely followed by the prawn spring rolls, plenty of flavour in the lot though. We shared a couple of mains with rice, a serve of Yellow Chicken Curry and a serve of Beef Pad Nam Prik Pow which were both amazing but the winner for me was the Beef, it was really tender. Probably one of the best beef Thai dishes I've ever had, the sweet chilli flavours were perfect and really the perfect dish overall. But let's talk about the Roti bread with Satay sauce, for $4.50 only and it was the best Roti bread I've ever eaten in my life, I've had good roti bread before but this is hands down my new favourite. Great value overall too.

Always have the Phad Thai, Penang and chicken satay. They make it like I got it in Thailand. This place i have never had an issue with. Tip: book out the front if you want a quiet romantic time...back room has parties and get togethers so can get loud.

Service is always outstanding, food is always fresh & delicious. Really like that they can always cater to small intimate functions in the back room, I had my birthday dinner here this year and everybody really enjoyed themselves. Such an awesome little local gem!
Tony
Food and value excellent. Highly recommended. Great for family dining and take away. Have been many times and have never had a bad meal. Friendly and quick service.

Loved the food. Staff were really nice and service was quick. Not sure if it was cause it was a quite night or its always that quick, but I'm glad it was cause I was hungry!

Prices were decent for the serving sizes and you have plenty to choose from. Gonna be going here more often!

Yum - I think we've just found out new Thai delivery restaurant as we've been quite disappointed with other Thai places in the area. Delivery was fast and the food was delicious with lots of flavour. Will definitely order again
Lovealatte
I seriously love this place- I order take away food from here at least once a week, by far the best roti & peanut sauce I've ever had, same goes for the green chicken curry & Tom kha soup. One of my favourite locals!
Katrina
The food was cooked well but the sauce was watery. We thought we would try something new for a change. Sticking to the best; Hot Chilli on mount road. Free, quick delivery and consistently great food. Never venturing out again.
Kiki
The food here is generally a bit too salty for my liking, but the service is friendly and it gets extra points for being in a convenient location.
Dr Chan
Most consistently delicious thai food. I moved from Essendon to Brunswick East and continued to travel to Little Thai Kitchen for thai. Entrees are ordinary but mains are to die for.
St!nger
Thai. This is my local Thai place and I would highly recommend it. The staff and food is very nice, however it is a little pricey for Thai and there are better ones around the area
L.OFoodLover
This is my local Thai restaurant and even better that they deliver home. It's the best roti bread & peanut sauce ever. My favourite is the chicken green curry, the tom Kha ga soup and coconut rice. Love love love it.
Adampeters42
Wont deliver over 20 cents. Has previously ordered from them and the food is good not the biggest serve or best prawns. But wont ever order from them again after refusing to deliver an order that was 29.80 as the min order is 30.
Ren
Very overpriced for their items that could be purchased elsewhere. Not much flavour, expected a lot more from a place that has such an attractive shop-front.
Mjuice
Very ordinary. Can't believe 86% of diners like it! Nice enough people, service & surroundings but really very, very ordinary food. Spring rolls without any substance, curry puffs with doughy pastry & an unimaginative main. Must be an over supply of carrots & zucchini. Tragic! Next!
Shane Buzza
First experience with Little Thai Kitchen, would definitely recommend; really tasty, Massaman Curry delicious!
Alice Maree
Fantastic!. I have been here countless times over the last couple of years and the food and service are fantastic! Highly recommended.

THE BEST FOOD EVER !!! LOVE IT would be one of your regular costumer , and totally would spread the word !!
TANA

We ordered some takeaway from here and never again! Both our curries (green & red) were way too sweat, I would hate to think how much sugar they added. The roti bread that came with the peanut sauce was the size of my palm for $3.50. The spring rolls were the size of my little finger (6 for $6.50), and the curry puffs were the size of 50 cent coins. The large rice was also not very large. Cheap prices but small portions, and average food. Won't be back!

Dinner. Fantastic food and excellent service. We will be coming back!!!

No more chances!. The first time I tried which was few months ago the dinner was absolute delight. But since then they have lowered their quality. I reckon they have changed the chef. Sago Desert is still to die for but wouldn't be entering anymore for dinner. This was my favorite Thai restaurant around western suburbs, damn you, in search of another here I go...
Yum Cha Rocks
Nice little restaurant and good thai food and servings. We were the only ones in there which was a but sad for them so hopefully they get busy other days. They deserve it
Vegemite Girl
Im sorry- but no.. My Seafood Salad was passable.
Dined with Mum and sister- who had chicken curry and fried rice. These 2 meals came out straight away (pre- prepared; not impressed). Carrrots, cauliflower etc- not cooked. Restaurant busy- needs soft furnishings as it is so noisy. All in all- would rather have stayed home and cooked our own.
The only reason I can see that this place survives is that there are lazy people living around the area- travel another 10 minutes and get great Thai!!
Melaleuca
Great all 'round. Driven past this place a million times but only tried this place for the first time about a year ago, loved it first time and been here half a dozen times since.
Food and service is really really good, tried a few different dishes which were great, but we still had to have my younger son's favorite which is the Red Curry Duck. Food is always consistent and I mean always. Since abandoning our previous favorite Thai joint we'd tried a couple of other places (Bangkok House wouldn't turn on the air con on a really hot summer night), Little Thai Kitchen has great food and service always attentive. Clearly our favorite Thai joint.

Sensational food!. OMG the flavours of their sauces were sensational although vegies a little too raw.! I ordered pad cha mixed seafood it comes out on a sizzling hot plate and I promise you wont be disappointed . Service was lovely and the food was great 9/10. The actual restaurant lacked a little atmosphere 7/10, but who cares the food made up for that.
I Hate Cooking
This restaurant is far too noisy and tables are much too close to each other. Thai food is without a doubt my food of choice but the food at Little Thai Kitchen was quite possibly the worst Thai that I have tasted, it was bland and the meat component was almost non existent. The food arrived within a few minutes of being ordered which makes me think that it is prepared earlier and heated up. All in all would not return as there are a couple of excellent Thai Restaurants in the local area.

Look it wasn't the best meal I've ever had.....not even today in all honesty. The veggies were hard like they had been waved over a pot of boiling water and the taste in my curry wasn't up to scratch. Staff were ok but I won't be rushing back, especially not when there is better thai 1km in every direction.

*Update February 2018 - two recent visits and food much better than I remember. Green curry, pork with garlic and pepper, and pad see ew all great. However they need to prioritise their dine in customers over take-away/uber - our meal took quite a while to arrive and we felt pretty neglected.

Pretty good. This is one of the better Thai places in the local area - not the best, but definitely not the worst. I popped in for take away on a Friday night and the staff were very efficient with the phone running hot as people phoned in their orders. It took less than 15 minutes for my take away to be ready. The pad thai was very good. Not oily, not too sweet and generally a good balance of flavours. The seafood salad was a bit weird, I wasn't expecting a whole fillet of fish - usually you get small pieces of seafood - there were a couple of prawns and some squid too. The seafood itself was fine if not spectacular. The dressing however was excellent - very well balanced. Probably the let down was the beef with chilli and basil. The sauce contained quite a bit of soy sauce which overpowered the chilli and basil flavour. The coconut rice was great.

I'd return for take away (or dine-in: whilst small, the place is inviting and cute) but I'd order different dishes as from my experience the menu seems a bit hit-and-miss.

This is a nice little place to meet friends for a lovely casual dinner any time of the week. The food was delicious, fresh and authentic.

Ordinary at best. Attended birthday party with 12 people.
Lengthy wait for food over an hour - however♥The Tom Tun soup with Prawns; however the main appeared before I had finished my soup. The main Lamb Currie was mediocre the lamb being tough.
We were not offered coffee or desserts; therefore service was incomplete.
This was 9.30pm Sat night and the staff where packing up for the night.(hence no dessert/coffee)
Obviously the staff/management could not cope with tables of more than 4 people; or a busy night
The service did not match the price of the food.
I would not recommend this establishment, as there are many Thai restuarants within the surroundings suburbs where
Eating out would be more enjoyable.

8/10. Have been coming here for a while now and have never left disappointed. The staff are very friendly and make sure my glass is never empty and are always around. The entrees are a bit pricey for the portion sizes, however the mains are where it's at. Personal favourites would have to be the green curry, the massaman curry and the chicken satay skewers. Prices for mains are what you'd expect, not cheap but not overly pricey either. There is also a lot of room for larger parties with a separate area around the back. Definitely recommend it.

Quaint little place. Staff and service very welcoming & attentive. Very family friendly..... To the point where we were looking for the curry in the curry puffs! Maybe if you arrive with kids in tow, they keep the spices to a minimum?? Desserts were authentic & delicious. We will be back to The Little Thai Kitchen......

Happy Birthday to me !!!. I discovered this little gem of a place a week or so ago (when a friend moved into the area )& was so impressed with the ambience, quality of food, service & general dining experience, that it was my restaurant of choice to celebrate my birthday last night .Even though i had to travel 1 hour from the other side of Melbourne, it was absolutely worth the effort...i will sure be seeing lots more of both my friend & this wonderful little restaurant !

Outraged!! Long time customer left disappointed.. I have been a long time customer of little Thai kitchen and have always been satisfied with service and food. This evening I went to grab some takeaway which totaled $18 (eating for one) they told me I was unable to pay on card because they have a $20 minimum. They made me pay $2 to use eftpos!
I was gobstmacked!
I'm not sure I want to go back after this experience as they don't value a long time customer.
Sure I only order for one so it may not be great business for them but there have several occasions where I've ordered for a large group of friends.

Small servings, Overpriced. Very disappointed in Little Thai Kitchen, based on reviews here. Roti serving was VERY small- actually we laughed when we opened the bag - and peanut sauce had a chemical taste. Curry was nice but very watery and vegetables were limp. Duck salad was nice but serving very small. Generally underwhelming - ok flavours but we won't eat here again.

Magnificent. This would have to be the best thai restaurant my wife and I have been to.
We had the curry puffs for entree which were delicious.
Then we had a Thai green curry and the pad Thai with prawn both were fantastic.
This is a must place for all to dine at.
Friendly service made our night very beautiful.
We are definitely coming back.

Lucas & Simone

Wonderful food & service. We came here for my daughter's birthday and we were very surprised at how good the food was. Excellent green curry! The staff as so warm and gracious and even surprised my daughter with a special dessert. Thank you for making the day so special for her.

Fresh, tasty and authentic. Dined early on Saturday night with husband and 4yo. Service was efficient and polite. Lovely atmosphere. Peking duck salad and barramundi were standouts. Amazing. We will definitely be back!

I dined at LTK on the strength of its reputation, especially given that the chef was retained from Pacific Rim which previously occupied the premises. Former Pacific Rim diners will notice LTK has gone a lot more upmarket in terms of ambience which is refreshing and still retained its reasonable pricing. However, that's where the joy ends I'm afraid. The gentleman serving us was polite enough but barely spoke a word of English, but did his best to muddle through. The entrees arrived swiftly but were nothing spesh, the mains were poorly presented and not nearly worth the 90min wait we endured and to add insult to injury I had to physically enter the kitchen requesting rice for the second time. I fully understand it was a busy Friday night but if you can't stand the heat get out of the Little Thai Kitchen! Best avoided :(
CP
Maybe we chose the wrong night but with 3 groups of people all getting hungry after all being there for over an hour without a main meal something went wrong. We had an enter and a bottle of wine in 90 minutes then went home to cook. Wrong food delivered to the table and then not takenaway for about 10 minutes after already being delivered to another table previously leaves a bit to be desired. Sorry but difficult to recommend this one...

Great flavor is all there dishes.

New Thai restaurant in essendon. Went opening night food was amazing will be heading back very soon!

A new Thai restaurant ,formerly The Pacific Rim, with new fittings and menu. The chef is French trained so expect a little European twist to the dishes. A hectic first night hopefully will lead to a more streamlined service.
