Review Nando's - Essendon

Please avoid this outlet at all costs!!! Very dodgy place with one of most unprofessional people working here. I am extremely disappointed with the service that was provided to me at Nandos Essendon Victoria outlet and I write review in lot of anger and pain. The manager at the place "Shiva" (dint give his full name) was completely unprofessional and tried charging an incorrect amount for the burger and large chips I ordered. After multiple attempts, he finally charged the right amount. I am a vegetarian and specifically asked for the halloumi vegetarian burger and was instead ​served with a chicken burger. When I was visibility upset and asked what had happened, I was told "these thing happen" (and has happened in the past). I was blamed for the their mistake. When I asked for a staff/ employee ID to make a complaint , they told me that they don't have IDs . ​When I gain asked for someone else or if I could get their corporate number I was denied that too. There was absolutely no attempt made to provide a refund. As I write this I am still in complete disbelief that a large chain like Nandos doesn't have complaint forms and customers are treated like trash!! Not sure anything will come from writing here, but just lost for words.

worst Nandos ever dont dine in here. No water bottles at table, no glasses and no sauce. When asked why they simply said because of Covid when in infact all other stores supply all these things. Food was cold and chips serving was very less. Really disappointed with the service and defs wont be eating here again.

Meal served was tasty, and fast service however customer service was below average. 1. No smile from male staff member at the counter when taking an order. 2. At the time of eating in 4 × Tables weren't wipped down after customers finished their meal and clearing plates. 3. We used our own anti-bacterial wipes to clean the table that a previous customer used. 4. After asking for no salt on my chips I still received a bowl of chips with salt. Staff changed bowl with no issue. 5. Plain spicy rice taste like a microwaved packet of rice. Absalutely disgusting. 6. Internal floor is extremely dirty. I've worked in resturaunts and never seen such dirty floors. 7. No papper towels to dry your hands where the hand basin is located including being dirty around the Basin area. 8. Staff were seen using mobile devices instead of focusing on maintaining cleanness. 9. Hygiene is extremely poor.

poor experience, paid for a full meal (wrap, chips and a drink) and a seperate regular chips. went to my car and saw only 1 regular chips. went back to ask the manager and he was rude telling me i was wrong when i was charged for a full meal + separate chips. Won’t be going back, please don’t come here

What the power up bowl was suppose to look like (1st photo) & what I got (2nd photo). As it was my first time purchasing, I thought the smoky tomato chilli dressing was already on the capsicum, I didn’t realise it should have been a creamy dressing as pictured online. Big disappointment.

The meals are fine but the music is so loud and so terrible that I need to get out as quickly as I can. I only get take away chips now and I really miss the other dining options we used to have at Essendon Fields.

Just ordered a vegetarian item, and was delivered a chicken item instead. Because I ordered through Uber Eats, I was refunded, but there's absolutely no way of getting in contact with Nandos unless I download their App (which I'm obvs not going to do now!). I understand that mistakes happen, but when they do, your customer needs to be able to contact you so you can make things right. Very interesting that the previous reviewer described the exact same problem - if they're consistently this careless, and can't be contacted about mistakes, you're better off taking your money elsewhere!

Everything I ordered was prompt and perfect. Couldn't fault anything. Service also first class

I've visited this outlet a handful of times, pre lockdown they have indoor and outdoor seating. Conveniently located next to Coles, I placed my order after I finished my shopping and by the time I had loaded the car and returned my order (a whole chicken, mild basting) was ready. I've always found the chicken well cooked here. Peri perks regularly give you freebies and this time I redeemed a free regular peri peri chips which were hot and fresh.

Pre the most recent lockdown we were in the area sourcing a tap for our kitchen reno and grabbed some Nandos. I honestly couldn’t remember the last time I’d had Nandos and I’m pretty sure I stopped eating it because of how overpriced it is but I ended up with a lemon and herb pita and some chips (because my husband advised the pita would be more filling than the wrap). <br/><br/>Lettuce was the dominate ingredient but the chicken was well cooked and it definitely feels healthier than other takeaway alternatives which is probably where the higher price point comes into play. Will probably be another long stretch before I revisit

There was 10 of us and only 2 kitchen staff. Food was made nicely no complaints. Cutleries, and plates were clean in comparison to other Nando’s Branches. Dont forget to sweep under the tables feet. 😉 well done staff 👍🏽

This place has been a local favourite and a busy spot on keilor road. Would usually visit during lunch time and they were usually busy. The grill chicken and chips is amazing

We used to go to this Nando’s shop every Friday and loved it but recently the management has changed and they are not friendly and helpful and the only world they use is NO. I don’t think we go back here unless they learn some customer service.

Usually a really good and quick feed, but lately I’ve noticed the quality (especially the salads) has gone down. <br/>I’m a regular at nandos, however I feel that I may need to go to a different location to have the onion in the salad cut down to an edible level. <br/>The staff also didn’t greet me (yes, I said hello and how are you doing) and stood staring at me until I placed my order.

As you would expect from any Nandos outlet, quick and reliably delicious chicken and peri peri chips (although we had to ask for peri peri seasoning for the chips as it had none? why?) Of anything we should be asking for more, not that there was none?<br/><br/>Located in the fast growing Essendon Fields pocket of the North West, Nandos sits right beside Coles and Hollie Cafe and is bustling with local patrons getting an afternoon feed. No need to worry about parking here as there is more than ample parking available within the shopping centre car park.<br/><br/>Service is relatively quick and the staff are polite although, we do think that all the staff should be wearing the uniform or at least the t shirt. There was someone bussing the table with just a random shirt on which we think may have been the shops son who above anyone else should've been looking like the stores best ambassador but well.... you can't win them all.<br/><br/>Till next time, this is Our Foodie Find!
