Review Peperoncino - Essendon

In a rush but needing a coffee I dropped in at their takeaway window this morning. I noted I was 5 minutes from train departure and they returned me with friendly fast service (made my train easily) and a REALLY nice coffee. I just wish it was on my normal commute.

Lovely staff, down to earth vibe, excellent coffee and a broad enough breakfast menu to make everyone feel there is something for them!

On Friday I had the open lamb souvlaki and salad-yummy! Today I indulged just a little on scones, jam & cream - They were to die for! Definitely having these again! And Gluten Free also available� Staff are super friendly and very obliging!

By far the best smoothie bowl I have had in ages- delish! & the kids demolished their kinder suprise pancakes! Def going to be a regular on my hit list.

The coffee is amazing here! I had the corn fritters and my daughter had the waffles. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. 5 coffees (instead of stars) for a great experience ☕☕☕☕☕

Great food and honest prices. Ordered the big breakfast, the poached egg yolks weren't runny but not too fussed. Good value for money. Good coffee as well. 👍🏽

Just had breakfast here and now have found where to get a well cooked omelette. The service was friendly and a happy bunch of people made the morning a good start.

Really, really good. Could do with more soft furnishing and serving smoothies in a proper container but apart from that - stellar. We had the corn fritter and avo smash. banana smoothie and two pots of tea. You will see by my photos (which tasted as good as it looks) that you are set for a treat here. I just wish that cafes would quit the kitsch drinks in mason jars- 200ml for what we once paid for 600ml.

Can't be faulted for service or product. Friendly staff, good coffee, good food. A more relaxing place than its trendier "sainted" neighbours, and very kid friendly too.<br/>Edited to add: the first time I came here, the effort they put into making a special meal that my daughter could share with me, having just had her diagnosed with multiple allergies, was above and beyond and very much appreciated.

What a delightful lil place PC is. The staff are great, as are the pancakes. Be warned, the servings are HUGE and they're very flexible in terms of pancake toppings. The printed menu is merely a starting point. highly recommended

The Welcomung and casual vibe at Peperoncino is so inviting. Enjoyed the best hot chocolate I've had in a long time this morning and my kids devoured their Chocolate milkshakes! Great place to drop in for a chat and feel relaxed with the children in tow. Looking forward to more visits!

Wow. Walked in this morning, it was early, but I was able to get a roast been and salad roll to take away with a drink for $10. the last time I walked into this place, I wasn't impressed. <br/>So for lunch I had this yummy roll. biting into it I found a mixture of meat salad and also cold yummy gravy. now this is a perfect roll to eat.<br/>amazing. coming back for sure

Best pancakes I have had till date.... Dropped in to this cafe last last week and thought of having pancakes as I like good pancakes. They pancakes were not good but they were just mind blowing, you can call it just the perfect pancakes one can have.<br/><br/>I like bit far from this place otherwise would keep coming atleast once every 10 days to have pancakes here.

Disgruntled?. After reading very poor reviews on the previous owners of Peperoncino I just had to join to voice my opinion.....The previouse "woman" owner was far from grumpy. Any of her customers, who I have since spoken to at St roses where we now all visit, all agree with me.<br/>Her food was ALWAYS fresh, AND she knew what a Piccolo was. I nearly laughed in the their faces when I first visitid Peperoncinos after the owners took over and asked me what it was!!!!!! HELLO........I am at a cafe in Essendon aren't I??? And why would anyone put a tv into a cafe?? BOREING!!!!!! Let's face it. Not the same standard as previous unfortuately, or fortunately for St Roses that is now bursting at the seems and very difficult to get a table after school drop off lol. Sounds to me like a case of disgruntlement I dare say? <br/>Miranda

Highly recommended!. I love this cafe. The food is excellent. The staff are friendly, yet not annoyingly all over you. I also love their coffee. The coffee is simple the best in Essendon (and I've tried A LOT of cafes) The service is quick without being rushed and the food is healthy and fresh. The staff are very pleasant and friendly without being in your face. I have been there several times and have never been disappointed. Keep up the great work guys. Looking forward to my next visit.

Much better with the new owners, expanded menu that includes meals rather than the snacks they had before.Loved the burger and chips.Not expensive and greater choice all around.The old owners were stuck in the past and were found wanting when the new cafes opened in and around Rose st.Well done guys!

Fresh and inviting cafe. Great spot for a catch up. Loved the breakfast menu and have enjoyed the reliable and friendly service for take away drinks.

Don't know why Peperoncino wud have negative feedback as the new owners and staff are 100% better than the last lot. And of course not forgetting to mention the tasty homemade food, the awesome salad bar and yummy desserts. I have been there 4 times now since its been taken over. Love the new look. Great atmosphere.

Have to say the negative feedback about Peperoncino has me shocked. Having been to the cafe under old and new management, the improvement is evident. Big breakfast is great, so are the ready to go lunch options, the noodles are yummy and today I tried out the salad bar. No complaints from me and I will certainly be back. Great job by the new owners, the cafe looks great and has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere

I think this is the best cafe ever. But I noticed all the negative reviews on here about peperoncino and didn't agree as I've been there multiple times in the past 6 months. I noticed new management took over in January what a breath of fresh air that was. New look is amazing. It's clean, fresh and a great all round atmosphere. Staff is also fantastic, happy and friendly unlike the old owner who I can only describe as rude, didn't ever smile and made me leave there feeling depressed myself. New menu is amazing with many many options healthy, home cooked and your standards. Defiantly recommend!!!!

Funky and Fresh. Only great things to say about this café. Very welcoming and a great place to sit and enjoy brekkie, lunch or just a coffee. I went with my little ones and they thoroughly enjoyed their milkshake in a funky mug. Food looked great and will be heading back to try something off the menu.

Milkshake Mugs :). Don't take notice of OLD Reviews... NEW Owners @ Peperoncino. Enjoyed Iced Coffee and Milkshakes with my daughter and grandsons. Friendly atmosphere, will definitley be going back.
