Review Yusu Japanese Restuarant - Ettalong Beach

Very high quality, authentic and delicious Japanese food. Our group of four had one of the banquets and really enjoyed the range of food that it provided. I added on an Okonomiyaki pancake because they are my favourite and it didn't disappoint! Table service was great and would go to 5 stars if the range of drinks available was wider and they offered split bills. Note they do offer a BYO wine option which I missed but will do that next time!

Great restaurant with flavoursome dishes. We tried steamed dumplings, teriyaki vegetables with rice and teriyaki salmon with rice. Everything was really tasty. The prices are on the higher side. I would recommend it to try it at least once.

bloody brilliant we went there for dinner me and 5 friends food is 10/10 service is also 10/10 after we finished our meal seeing as we were the last ones in the shop the lovely elderly woman came from behind the counter and gave us some pear candies lovely place would recommend.

Recommended by our neighbour. Very friendly staff, excellent food. We had a range of dishes to share, and all of it was between "tasty" and "exceptional". Will definitely be visiting again. Edit: We have since been back multiple times. Each time, the food is exceptional, and the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The only negative (sort of) is that there isn't much seating, so booking ahead is advised. We have never had a bad experience, nor even a "mediocre" one, we have only ever had a great evening meal out. I've also edited the number of stars: previously I had 4 stars, but I've had to increase it to 5 because everything was so good!

We got the Gyoza, karaage chicken, edamame, pork katsu, don buri (chicken & egg) and beef noodles. With the exception of the gyoza which were good, the portions were on the small side and the overall quality did not match the price.

Delicious Japanese food - we had hoke Sake to accompany, delicious. Great service too!

It's definitely worth phoning ahead. They were only able to accept bookings at the moment with a set menu. I love coming here, the staff are super kind and the food is fresh and delicious. I always leave feeling warm, well fed and content. Their Tonkatsudon makes me feel like I'm back living in Japan.
