Review Mr Wednesday - Fairfield

Tracy Warusevitane
Amazing food!!!! Thank you 🙏 great friendly quick service and great coffee. A great little find. Will be back!

Ignoring the slow service because we did go on a nice Sunday and sit outside. Let's actually start with the food. They keep the table salt in a tin marked herbs. Mother accidentally used that in her coffee. Kind of funny when you really think about it. I asked for the tacos and to add avocado. Instead they bring me the tempura fried avocado tacos. Okay. I'm flexible. But the mint in the Salsa Verde. I couldn't escape from it. It was everywhere. It overpowered every single flavour there was. My dad order the granola and it came on a plate. With very little. And the price was shocking for it. All in all food was okay but would not write home about it.

Saw good reviews and menu read well so I thought to give it a go. Service has a bit to improve on and waffles came out cold, toppings melted like it had been sitting for a while, doughy and just barely cooked enough. Pastry cabinet looked alright though.

Really like this , cafe! I go by a few mornings a week usually for take away. Great coffee and yummy food too! I am always tempted on the pastries! This cafe has been busy every time I've been, always a good sign!

Great service, delicious food and a varied menu. I had the fritter stack which was *chefs kiss*. It was reasonably priced, most seemed to be between $20-$25. Plenty of vego options if you're so inclined. Drove 50 min to meet a friend here for breakfast and would happily do it again!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I wish I could have given ZERO! We went there on Saturday to have brunch, when we entered the cafĂ©, we realized it was too cold as the back door was open and a cold wind was blowing through the cafĂ© which in turn was the staff freezing as well – our server was shivering and apologising for shivering! However, we thought we would get used to it and we ordered our coffee and while we were looking at the menu for food, we decided to leave as my legs were getting too cold and uncomfortable, so we decided to cancel our coffee and get food somewhere else. My partner asked the staff if we could cancel our coffee and they said no we have already started which was fair enough! So, we went next to the front door to wait for our coffee we were promptly asked to pay for the coffee and then to our surprise we were asked us to go outside in the freezing weather to wait for our coffee!! That was very weird as the cafĂ© wasn’t even busy and the staff’s attitude changed and became so rude the moment we told them we would like to go somewhere else as here is too cold for us! Anyway, we went out and as it was so cold, I went and sat in the car and my partner waited outside for 10 minutes which then he realized they hadn’t even started our coffee and lied to us earlier just to make us pay! Very disappointing!! So, he told them he noticed that they haven’t started yet and we could not wait longer so we would go without any coffee even though we had already paid, then they said they will make the coffee for us without saying or feeling sorry! The whole experience was unpleasant and horrible, the customer service was lower than ZERO! We would never go back to the cafĂ© where the staff only care about selling and using anything including lies to make you purchase from them.

Got a burnt toast and even didn’t heard an apology when asking for another one

Good coffee, do prefer plan old tomato sauce on my bacon and egg, sometimes fancy (relish) doesn't work. Just my personal preference.

Amazing food and coffee is what you can expect, incredible staff felt verry taken care of can not recommend this hidden gem enough 10/10

The breakfast burger (vego with no bacon) was epic! Love the smoothies too, but the paper straws are a bit painful if you don't finish it in record time (just a suggestion, you can buy stainless steel reusable straws, better for the environment and prob easier and cheaper for you guys in the long run) :) Overall, living around the corner from this place is going to empty my wallet and expand my waistline :) *considers going back for a 2nd breaky*

I like to think that the test of a good cafe is in the simple things. A black coffee eggs and bacon and in this Mr Wednesday shone for me. Unlike 90% of place I been they didn’t over cook the poached eggs, which for a start puts them in my good books. The sour dough was light and not doughy which is common these days. The bacon was crisp, smokey and slightly charred and wholly delectable and the coffee was perfect ïżœ well done Mr Wednesday ïżœ

I love this place! Fave cafe! Great food, awesome customer service and beautiful place!

Love this place, my fave local, great coffee, friendly people and even my dog loves it ïżœ

Great service, food and price, and genuine staff who go above and beyond.

Coffee tip top, Jamaican jerk chicken burger and pulled pork burger amazing. Plantain chips very very good. Awesome decor, Will be back.

My local! Great food for a great price, fantastic service with friendly staff! Never made to feel like I need to hurry up, type of place you can either have a quick bite to eat or sit with a book/paper and take your time:) love it!!
Rushie Slater
BEST food, service and coffee! My husband and I were so impressed by the service and at how the staff were calm and delivered exceptional customer service despite how busy the cafe was. When we went it was a really busy Saturday morning and the staff could not be more helpful to get us a table and make us feel comfortable. The food was amazing and they accommodate food allergies and food preference with out a worry. Also very reasonably priced for the the amount and quality of food. Personally our new favourite cafe to come to regardless that we don't even live near Fairfield!

I've been here twice now, about ten months apart. I've had all types of interpretations of a Long Mac and Mr. W have got it right both times. I would've been back more, but it's always packed out most mornings and on weekends. Great place, staff, food and coffee.
Richard Milkins
Great breakfast menu and coffee, will defs keep coming back.
Irene Robinson
The latte had more froth than the cappuccinos. Malteser slice was dry and hard as a rock. Other than that, cool place.
Louise Penson
Food was delicious and the best blend coffee I have ever had ïżœïżœ
Behzad Kateli
Amazing tasty food at this funky cafe. Only negative is they do not have high chairs for toddlers but overall an awesome cafe
Kerry Haines
We love Mr Wednesday. Fantastic coffee, food and people.
Russ Smelter
Not sure I should be spreading the secret, but this place is sensational. Goes toe-to-toe with any Melbourne cafe.
Foodie Schmoodie
It’s not kid friendly. There’s no high chair and no change table. The food seemed interesting but one turned out too sweet and one too salty. Other than that the staff seems friendly
John M
Busy cafe on a weekend. Decent coffee, and food.Service is excellent, and relatively attentive. Would revisit if in the area.
Nick
Done this 3 times now. Good coffee, well prepared breakfasts and friendly service. They do eggs very well. Avo eggs, scrambled and poached all tried and are winners. Can be busy (it's not a huge place) but good value and cosy. Friendly staff and reasonable turnaround a good thing. Menu not over complicated as seems to be the case for breakfasts in many places.
Kathleen Doherty
Great cafe out in the suburbs. The staff are all super friendly & it's often packed at brunch/lunchtime.
The sweets in the cabinet all look delicious and go well with their great coffee!
Val86
Loved the layout and feel of the venue, especially on a rainy afternoon where you could hear the rain on the tin roof. Cost and comforting in the cool weather.
Coffees and hot chocolate were really good and really enjoyed.
Harissa lamb with cauliflower we really thought it and a great balance of flavour.
Chips were amazing and a highlight for me - fluffy, crispy, and worked well with the aioli.
The baked eggs were however not great. One of the great things about baked eggs are that they’re often saucy, and a great comfort dish. This dish was dry with no sauce liquid whatsoever to mop up with the provided pita bread. The flavour was good, but it was quite dry and chalky to chew / swallow, as the tomato flavour seemed quite strong and thick like a tomato paste (perhaps it was reduced too long), and there was no sauce to break through the mouthful of beans. A wetter dish would be much more appealing.

Good value at $60 for two adults.
Elizabeth Royce
A great local spot. Have had the smash which was excellent and the baked eggs which were very, very tasty. Coffee is consistent and service is friendly.
Emily Hatton
Absolutely some of the best brunch food I've had in the area. High quality ingredients, cooked in a way that brings out their natural flavour. Coffee is high quality too. Decent amount of food given compared to other similar restaurants in the area. Only downsides are: Slightly pricey, slightly small space which can get noisy. Also can get busy and can be a while to wait for food. Although the space is a bit cramped, it does have delightful decor.

Mr Wednesday

3.7

Just a quick coffee and snack today. Nice rustic retro space here. Exposed brick, timber, even some copper forms part of interior. There’s an overall dark aura but it feels pretty cool overall.

The coffee here was good. The onion muffin I chose was delicious too, best I’ve had anywhere for a while. Service was good here as well. Everything was delivered very quickly and politely.

Nice place. I’ll certainly return for brunch in future.
State Of Steph
I’ve been house hunting of late, which has given me a great excuse to try a few new cafes that could become my new local. After scouting around Fairfield, I popped into Mr Wednesday which is by the train tracks just off the main drag. I was pleasantly surprised by the bustling, rustic chic atmosphere with exposed brick and hanging lightbulbs.
Potatowaffles
Lovely, cosy and charming cafe with a rustic interior found in a sleepy part of Fairfield. We think it may be because of the adjacent rail works but it was quiet on a Wed around lunch. My friend and I both had the banh mi filled with a delicious sticky, crispy pork belly, pickled carrot, cucumber, spring onions, coriander, chilli and with a pate and mayo sauce. We also ordered the hot and fluffy hand-cut potato chips with herb salt and aioli. Great coffee and matcha lattes, great friendly genuine service.
Dina Kerr
Great coffee. Cozy little cafe not much space for kids inside even through they provide kids activities. I tried their large breakfast and it's great.
Portia0
Tried this place a few months ago and loved it, I returned again and will unfortunately not return. Our coffees were very airy and had no creamy frothiness that is usually the best part to a latte. Our food was bland and boring. We didn’t finish our breakfast and we were happy to only pay for one meal instead of two after complaining.
Carol Sheldon
With the aid of google maps we found Mr Wednesday on a sunny March Wednesday (hump day 😁) and we were very pleased we did! There was a lot of road construction 🚧 going on outside that created quite a bit of noise, but the ambience and food negated that. The service was quick and friendly, coffee courtesy of Industry Beans ❀. We chose the corn đŸŒœ and zucchini fritters and the breakfast plate! Both were extremely enjoyable, the breakfast plate was one of the biggest we have seen and was totally demolished 😋. We would definitely return thank you Mr Wednesday for making our Wednesday so enjoyable!

Interesting brunch menu and a great restaurant design to match.
Reliably good cafe for meeting up with friends in a creative setting.
Pancakes were đŸ‘ŒđŸ».

The staff was friendly and had a typical café decor. The food was hit and miss for us...the chicken burger was great, tasty and juicy. The burrito was not, very tough beef, far from what I expect from slow cooked barbacoa. Coffee was on par for Melbourne.
Lifecycle
I am a local and a supporter of this cafe. The owner and staff put a lot of effort and care in banging out good food, coffee and service. They deserve a much higher rating and positive feedback. Coffee tastes better than the other ones in the fairfield village. Mr Wednesday, please keep up the good work guys!!!
Melbourneboy
I'm editing this a bit as it was a bit incendiary and more verbose and the owner at least replied ...

I asked for just side serves to eat as I didn't want toast.

But

When I went to pay they charged me for the mushroom and spinach sides as expected but also charged $12 for eggs on toast.

I said that I'd only ordered sides.

They said that they didn't have a button for scrambled egg sides that it's only poached egg that you can have on the side. At the least they could have informed me at the beginning that I would be overcharged if I went ahead with the order.

I tried to call to speak to a manager before giving a bad review but nobody answered the phone.

Some good local cafes are Apte in Heidelberg Road or the Bean Counter beside Fairfield station and Beccas in Grange Road now that the legendary My Little Brother cafe is floundering.

Please inform people they would be charged for a full serve as if they had been served toast when they have emphasized that they asked for sides only. I don't like nasty surprises at the cash register.

Am increasing the rating by one pip as the food and drink was good.

Ignore my following ill-considered rave about Zomato menu. I can't edit or delete it so far perhaps because it was sent by email. Adding another pip as a mea culpa and because time is smoothing out my ruffled feathers.

I have now asked for my Tripadvisor review of Mr. W to be deleted because it's impossible to edit their reviews. And I deleted mention of giant mugs of decaf here. And Zomato kindly removed my rant about lower prices on the menu appearing on Zomato (where I also commented that I had no problem with the additional $19 for coffee and take-away cakes as I knew in advance what I was paying for).

BIRCHER QUEEN 👑
Went here at 10.30am on a Sunday...it was full! Thankfully we only had to wait 5 mins for a table. The Bircher at first sight looked a little small but I think it was made with coconut milk and chia seeds so was filling. The Bircher itself was bland and not sweet at all. The dish is more like a chia pudding than a traditional Bircher. The smashed avo at this cafe looks insane, so given the coffee was good, I'll be back to try that dish next time.
Rebecca Fakhri
Quirky and cool place with great food. Different to anywhere else I've been to. The staff were super friendly and helpful in recommending specials for us when me and my partner were unsure what to order. Will definitely be back :)
Jamie
This place is small and can feel a bit crowded. But that's my only criticism. Everything else is fine. Good service. Good coffee. I especially liked the white chocolate and raspberry slice I got to take away. Been here several times and will continue to return.
Drew Ball
Not perfect, but very quirky (in a good way). The restaurant itself was a bit small and crowded, but the Food was excellent, as was the coffee.

Staff were friendly and helpful.
Conza
Great value. Quality service. So full, and quick to plate. Had the big breakfast. Hot chocolate was deconstructed; needed a bit more chocolate I thought. Busy, good atmosphere.
Juicepuppy
Love the coffee here and love the service, always friendly. Around the corner from my place so had a heap of coffee's from here and they've been consistently high quality.

Eaten here only once, had the corn fritters and they were so good i practically inhaled them. Can't speak for other dishes but I can't wait to find time to do so again. Gets busy and is popular with the bike crowd (where isn't?)
Bethany
Some friends and I had lunch here yesterday. Cute little spot with really friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the corn and ricotta fritters and they were average. Rather than a nice crispy corn filled fritter, they were much more of a thick doughy pancake with a few pieces of corn in it. Cooked well and the toppings were yummy but I personally wasn't a fan of the 'fritter' itself and it is definitely closer to a corn pancake which lacked flavour. Otherwise my friends enjoyed their food and the staff were happy to let us sit and chat long after our plates were cleared. I'd be back, I'll just be trying something different next time!
Elle
Love, love, love this place! The fritters are by far the best I've had anywhere else in Melbourne! Coffee excellent and wait staff lovely. Can easily see this being my weekly brunch hangout!
Lara Burke
Best coffee in fairfield by far! Never usually order more than one coffee at a cafe, but it was so good I couldn't resist. The fritters and vegie breakfast are delicious and filling. Love the chilled atmosphere and the staff are super cool.
FoodieFab
Consistently great breakfast dishes.
Eggs always cooked well.
Staff are always friendly.
I would ditch the bar stools, so uncomfortable.
The tables are great though.
The Bircher is massive but oh so delicious, check out my photo.

It's Thursday and it's raining ..... but it can be Wednesday everyday as far as I'm concern.

After you find this very quaint place next to the train track, you'll be amazed by the set up and greeted with some wonderful smiles, if not then the Red Indian Motor Cycle hanging above will bring a smile to your face.

Must commend their Interior designer for creating this easy on the eyes, looks simple, semi Rustic, exposed bricks space. Serenity (when the blender isn't going nor the train pass) great place to hang out even it would struggle to fit 20+ patrons inside this open kitchen cafe, I can't imagine the weekend queue.
PS. There are 6 seats outside if it's not raining.

Oops, very creatively done Toilet and Hand basin too.

La Marzocco Strada & Industry Coffee Beans combo.; well made Soy latte and filter brew too.

Hand-cut chips could be seasoned and made better but after my $19 Coffee Rubbed Holy Cow Burger patty, I'm looking forward to try the rest of the Menu.

Well done guys ..... thank you for the wonderful lunch experience

After a long Sunday run where my sister sacrificed four hours of her morning to help me I thought the least I could do is take her to brunch. She suggested Mr Wednesday.

There's not much space within the place but we were after the usual 'brunch' time so got seated. We went with poached eggs on toast and the fry up plate.

Everything on the fry up was delicious. The beans are not regular baked beans and instead a combo, the sausage had an incredible taste that I loved, bacon was cooked how bacon should be cooked and the eggs were poached perfect. The sourdough was amazing too.

The coffee was very good and overall it was very cheap for the amount of food going on.

Will be back next weekend and if just as good expect this to go from the 4.5 right now to a 5.
Meeateor
Not your typical sleepy suburban café, this place has heart. Thoughtful, modern and tasty menu items await, and be warned there may be a bit of a wait at peak "brunching hour".
Mez Crookes
Reeeeaaally good coffee. And food is excellent, not just the standard cafe menu, either. Service is always friendly and warm. Very lucky to be super local to Mr Wednesday.
Hamish
Mr Wednesday is fantastic.

Sneaky location (but not really so sneaky anymore), very friendly service, a wide range of food options on the menu and the coffee is soooo good.

What a winner.
Carla De Rosayro
Lots of wonderful choices on the menu that we have slowly been making our way though. Stunning interior (seriously, check out the cool bathroom) and awesome coffees as well.

Can't go wrong with any choices but my favorite is the Avo-lanche. Keep it up Mr. Wednesday!
Jessie1079
My girlfriend recommended we go to Mr Wednesday for brunch one seedy Sunday. She said it’s the kind of place you wouldn’t know about unless someone told you, a little hidden gem..

Fortunately the gf’s are small eaters so I got to try every one of the 5 meals ordered – the granola, breakfast burrito, American style burger, the breakfast burger and the avo-lanche - they were all delicious! The wait time was zero, prices are very reasonable and the service was efficient and friendly. The interior of this place was gorgeous – the attention to detail that has gone into the place is unreal (make sure you check out the restroom). The coffee and the smoothies are lovely – be sure to try “the nutty one” – mmmm mmm mm. Faultless!

You did good, Mr Wednesday. You did good.
ThePrestonProwler
The fit out of this place is awesome. Someone dropped some cash into it and the outcome is really cool. The fruit smoothies were tasty. Had the cheeseburger -- the pulled beef and other ingredients were tasty but the brioche made it overly sweet. Potato skin chips weren't great. Good service though and will try again
Hungry Caterpillar
This cafe was featured in Urbanlist brunch places in Melbourne. A small local place in the burbs. Simple menu with good coffee. There was no wait time.
Crispymelbreview
Put simply, this place is sublime. Tucked away off the main street in Fairfield is this gem of a cafe.
Firstly the coffee was magnificent. I ordered it strong. The froth was brilliant and thick with a lovely pattern (my lips loved the feel); the coffee full of texture, depth and a strong bean flavour. It was overwhelming. The barista has it down to a fine art. It was cathartic.
I then ordered the Sweet Pumpkin Toast with its beautiful Oriental flavours and tasty figs which always go so well with ricotta. The presentation showed an eye for detail and it tasted scrumptious. (I just had to get over it being presented in a long rectangular plate, a departure from the conventional round plate and something previously associated with lower quality cafes.) It was not too sweet with its abundance of fruit and flavour.
The ambience is stunning mix of Melbourne cafe and Oriental geometry.
Service was friendly and my meal did not take long to arrive.
Could not recommend this place more. Lucky locals who live around the corner.
Chrispy
Nice looking little neighbourhood cafe. A little too noisy due to the hard furnishings but it does really look "cool". The hipsters seem to love it and it's always busy on the weekend so you may need to wait to get a seat.

Is the wait worth it?

I had the granola. At first the flavours just buzzed my mouth and thought it was a great mix of seeds, oats and fruit plus some other goodies... Until I hit a pebble the size of a 5 cent piece and nearly broke my tooth. I WAS NOT expecting that. Complained to the waitress who apologised profusely but they couldn't see fit to even take a coffee off my order, let alone the granola. IMHO, considering they nearly cost me thousands at the dentist they could have shown that they were actually sorry, rather than charge me the full bill.

Ate there with a couple of friends. The other meals, as reviewed by them. Eggs on toast are two eggs on a single piece of toast. Maybe another piece of toast might not make it look so tight. Prawns were deemed too salty though there were quite a few of them on the plate (but it was literally just prawns, no salad, no bread, no nothing - good if you are on a paleo/Atkins diet).

So, overall, the picture painted of my first visit there wasn't great. I am not sure that I would ever risk the granola again. You have been warned. Eat the granola at your own risk!
Jackie Pipe
This cafe is the epitome of a hidden gem!
Sitting amongst a row of unassuming stores across from a rail line, it was hard to believe we were at the right place.

Despite its location Mr Wednesday has an impressive menu, atmosphere and level of service that matches those of high quality CBD eateries.

Each dish we've tried has had a wonderful balance of flavour and texture taking you on a sensory adventure.

We've come here a few times now and just can't stop coming back. Everything is just perfection.
Josh
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.

We were left blissfully satisfied after experiencing a hearty and warming Breakfast Burrito and a crispy and tender Karaage Chicken Burger joined by two unique fruity chilled smoothies.
We plan on coming back here soon and often.
Colin Higgins
There is lots to like about this place, but the service on the counter is terrible! The staff do not seem to know how to operate the cash register, or to process a simple order such as a small takeaway latte with two shots. Three times I've been over charged, and a cast of thousands have had to come over and operate the till. If you're going to do takeaway your staff need to know whether small lattes come with one or two shots, and how to add a single shot if only one. This is just the very basics of operating a coffee shop in Melbourne, yet three times (in a row), I've come in here and been served by people with no idea.

As I say, lots to like but customer service let's you down
TheCorporateMummy
Seriously good coffee. I have been here many times now and each time the coffee is consistently good
. The smashed avocado is my favourite!
Lucy Mackey
Best smashed avocado I've ever had! The atmosphere was great and the service was very quick despite the staff being so busy. Loved it! Can't wait to go back.
Brandon Stafford
Gorgeous little cafe with rich and delicious coffee and amazing food.
Samantha Griggs
Had lunch here on thursday and a coffee. Music was not my favourite but, the corn fritters were spot on, I added bacon for extra fun! Delish! Good Industry beans coffee too. I will be back shortly for another pit stop.
Chris Price
Great to see a new entrant into the Fairfield Cafe scene.
With standard bearers like 15 Pounds churning out a high standard in coffee, food and customer service , Mr Wednesday has to be good to survive.

I'm a local member of the community and have gone to Mr Wednesday 5 times in the past 2 weeks so think I can speak with some authority. It's tucked away just up from Fairfield primary school and near the Grange rd railway crossing.

What's good
Coffee- good machine, skilled barista and freshly roasted Industry Beans coffee. (for sale as well)
Food- Interesting menu, tasty food, good section of cakes and slices.
Venue and location. Plenty of parking.

What needs to improve:
Biggest issue is customer service and flexibility of menu.
Not sure if the owners don't care or staff don't understand the importance of keeping people happy.
My experiences include:
Being told can't offer a smaller hot chocolate for my 6 year old son.
Being told you can't have different types of bread (plain and fruit) in one order. Really??
Given burnt and cold toast. Which takes some skill. I was scaping the ash of in front of the waitress and she appeared not to notice.
Not being asked how is everything or how was your food.

Overall I think the venue reflects the owner/owners. Wants to be cool but misses the point. Good cafes are built on food and coffee but also on local patronage and good customer service.

Good luck.
Declan
A god send for alphington/fairfield area! Amazing atmosphere and even better coffee and food!
Small quaint place, but definitely worth the wait for a seat!
Savage Food Critiq
Fyi Full cream milk is not an "extra" cost. This is Australia we include it.

If you choose to get milk from an animal such as the wild soy bean or rare almond nut - only then can you charge for the struggle fight capture and milking of that beast.
Jess Carey
Beautiful dark wood and school room-style chairs, exposed brick walls, lighting with an industrial/pirate rope edge, and bright green ferns dangling from the ceiling. Add an amazing menu and a long chatter session with a good friend, and you’ve got yourself the perfect Saturday morning breakfast date.
Zhweishan
Yummy breakfast cool place great customer service. Had the veggie breakfast. Big serve. Great coffee. Definitely will be back anytime i am around the area
Lucy Luu
I tried this place for the first time last week I got the big veggie breaky
I loved it so much
It was so good and had really good flavours
I loved the betroot
It was really big as well most places now days offer you a big breaky that's so small
Good coffee too !
I'm surprised about the bad comments below .
I loved it
I think it's going to be my new hang out every Friday :)
KC
Cute little cafe with exceptional food and coffee. We had the fried chicken, breakfast burrito and smashed avo for brunch and everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back soon to try some more of the menu.
Stephanie Rowland
Fun, busy, and yum. Very busy cafe but staff were able to keep up with demand. Food was great, very colourful with new combined flavours I had never tried before. We had the Breakfast Burrito and the lemon maple syrup buttermilk pancakes. Very beautiful cafe with in trend renovations.
Lam K
Great food and coffee. Recently rennovated. Must try dish is the breakfast burrito. Gets very busy at peak hours but amazing for a weekday lunch if you are nearby.
Sialis
Awesome breakfast đŸ‘đŸœ great and quick service for a Saturday morning! coffee was really good, would recommend, however easier if you go in small groups because it is very busy and quite small
Pooch
Fantastic spot along the railway, a short walk from the Fairfield shops. Fantastic environment to have brunch, with great staff.
Ordered the Avocado Smash, absolutely loved it but I think it was lacking some protein. Next time will definitely make sure I order it with some eggs or ham/bacon
Jelly
Great food and friendly staff. However I was not a fan of their coffee. Wasn't to my taste. But everything else was nice. I so hope they improve the coffee as without good coffee how will they survive.
Nathan Farrell
Great food and coffee at affordable prices. Friendly staff and excellent service. Would absolutely recommend for anyone living or passing through the area.
Stefan Zervides
Went for coffee and a burger the other day and loved it! The coffee was great and the burger was awesome! Great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back
Ashley Barnett
Amazing coffee! Barista knows what he's doing đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ
Date and banana smoothie really good. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back!! 😋😋😋
Nick The Greek
Great new addition to Fairfield, very good coffee and friendly staff. Plenty to choose from on the menu and extremely busy. Go on down and try it , you will not be disappointed .
Loizos
Vege breaky! Compliments to the chef. Utilising a wide range of uncommon ingredients and transforming them into a vegetarian platter of delightfulness! Very flavoursome :P

Great vibes!
Eating_nomad
I had high hopes for this place, and on face value it looks like a busy, trendy, popular cafe but overall disappointed with food. Nothing new, innovative or flavoursome. Had a vegetarian big breakfast and really just had a mish mash of flavourless components plonked on a plate. The main downfall was the hard boiled poached eggs - a rookie mistake. Hats off to the owner for being so gracious with our feedback but just a note when a customer needs new eggs don't make them wait 15-20 mins for them, get those babies out. Tweak the menu, taste the food, make sure it's 100% before serving it up to Melbourne's foodies - we're tough because we're spoilt.
Lmhazel
Ambience and staff were top notch but the food was dismal, this is what sadness tastes like. We felt like we were transported back to the 90s when big standard breakkies were all the rage. Worst beans of my life, lack of seasoning, no flavour, poached eggs hard boiled and just an over all a bland meal. This cafe will need to step it up a notch if it wants to be a contender amongst the calibre of competition. Totally see the owners direction but man, sort out the menu.
Michy
Came here on a Tuesday for a lunch. Tucked away in a small little nook of shops along the railway line. Ample street parking. Surprisingly very busy for a weekday. Fantastic service. Pulled pork burger (no pineapple) and chips were delicious! Full of flavour...as was the brownie. Keep up the great work!
Lynsay Cooperwaite
Awesome cafe. Great coffee and service and creative little menu along the hipster and whole foods line. Such delicious burgers, smoothies and salads. Well worth a visit.
Saige Collins
Beautiful decor, amazing vibe, warm and friendly staff, delicious food. Only been open two weeks but already ridiculously busy, definitely a great sign. Will definitely be back!
Bridget Draper
Really cool decor and vibe. Great friendly service. Excellent food and coffee! Heaps of tasty breakfast options with fresh ingredients - would highly recommend the veggie big breakkie and the cured salmon!
Derek Vineyard
Wow! Just wow! Great vibe, intriguing decor, amazing food and a cute friendly owner to top it off ;) Who said the man bun was a bad look?! Not me!

Amazing food! Had the big breakie and found it was such good quality produce! Can't wait to try the Jamaican burger next time. For a place that just opened they doing really well and i love the steam punk theme with all the cool little objects to look at while you enjoy a good coffee!
