Just had dinner here with my extended family. The food was absolutely amazing (votes for the Italian sausage pizza and Italian Doughnuts for dessert) but far better was the service. Our waitress India made the evening a pure delight and kept everyone happy and entertained. Thank you �

Visited there last night along with my girlfriend for an impromptu dinner out. The food, atmosphere and friendly engagement of the team that work there made for a absolutely brilliant night and we have now decided that this place will be our "local restaurant" in the area. Incredible food, great wine and very friendly people at a very reasonable price. We will be going there a lot more. �

Under New Management. A dynamic duo who are after giving you a great dinning experience. We had dinner on a Saturday night and were warmly welcomed. The Atmosphere was relaxed and the team were attentive to our needs. Most important the food was delicious. The Arancini balls and the fried Calamari are a must to try.

Great pizza, pasta menu could be better however. Came here after reading the reviews, especially over the beef cheek lasagna which was not available when I came :(. Anyhow, had the campanelle which was surprisingly good, as well as the salami pizza which was fan-fking-tastic. Would defos come again kent aye.
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Everyone was very friendly, attentive, helpful and courteous. Food was delicious in an easy, casual atmosphere; we will definitely return.
Had a group of 10 on a Friday night, they managed to put us right in the centre of restaurant, served very promptly and was a great meal. We started with a table full of appetizer dishes of Salt and pepper Calamari, Arrancini and Anti pasto cold meat plate promptly followed by an array of pizzas and pastas.

Got the beef cheek lasagna through uber eats tonight. Arrived nice and hot and was up there with one of the best lasagnas I have ever had! Hats off to the chef!

Pizzas are seriously delicious, SDP and Sopressa are my go-tos. I have tried the Hawaii which was nice too. Antipasto to share was also very good.
Yum! Went with a group of friends for dinner and we weren't disappointed. Ordered the lasagne which tasted just like nonna's, very rich and tasty; I could have licked the plate of the pappadella with lamb ragu it was so tender, the confit mushrooms on this dish were out of this world and the drizzle of pesto was a great finishing touch; the mushroom arancini were moist, packed with mushie flavour and well seasoned; the mushroom risotto was also mouth-wateringly good; the ravioli however were a little bland compared to the other dishes and much smaller in size.
Tried some creme brûlée for desert and it was also lush. Velvety smooth and creamy custard and a nice crunch to the top.
Hahaha I'm so glad my friends are 'food-sharers'. Will be back to try the other pasta dishes and the pizza, but I would recommend booking as it was quite busy even on a Wednesday night.

Discovered this place after moving into the neighborhood. Very friendly and helpful service. We had pizza, risotto and the lamb special which were all delicious. The mushroom risotto was a huge hit and the plate up of the lamb was "master chef" style (check out the pic we took) We will be back!
We now want to try the sister cafe a few doors down, Fifteen Pounds which also has great reviews.
Oh- can't pick a wine? We had the Kangarilla Montepulciano which was very nice.
Yummy food, great atmosphere in a modern warm industrial space. Great variety of meals to choose from followed by a specials menu. We will be back again for sure!
I think Flour and Salt easily rivals other restaurants in the area. We ordered a range of pizzas and they were all really fantastic, especially the squid ink, sausage and mushroom and the sorpressa pizzas. The customer service is above and beyond. This place is really worth a visit 😀
Great customer service! Lovely interior and decor, I like how it's open and modern. Very inviting for customers. We ordered the meat balls for the entree and it was lovely! Meatballs would taste absolutely plain if you don't have it with the sauce, so drizzle it as much as you can. I love the melted cheese! The bread was a bit salty, wasn't too my liking. Pasta was amazing! I got full on this. Was eating this slowly so I could enjoy it. I got the flour & salt bolognese. The pasta was fabulous! It felt like it was handmade and fresh? It just tasted so good!!
The first time we dined here the food was nothing short of terrible. We decided to give this place another shot being fans of fifteen pounds and are so glad we did. The food is fantastic. One of the best pastas I've ever had. The arranchini, lasagne and fries were equally as delicious. Great service and it seems they might have a new chef compared to the first time we dined. Service was friendly and attentive. Will return again.

We live next door to Flour and Salt and absolutely love it! Customer service wise - I have never had an experience that was less than perfect. The owner there is so hardworking - we see him during the day at the cafe down the street and at night working at the restaurant. He and his staff are so incredibly friendly and really go above and beyond to give you an amazing experience. Staff have a lot of knowledge on the food and drinks served and are incredibly sweet and efficient. Drinks are always ice cold and they are always there before you know you need them! And the food is INCREDIBLE! Recently they have changed their menu to include things like a bolognese pasta which has been good for a picky eater such as myself. I also once had the lasagne on special there which was hands down the best i've ever eaten. Foodies and picky eaters alike will love this place - there is many beautiful things on offer and the pizza is divine. I am so proud to call Fairfield my home with beautiful places like this and Fifteen Pounds around! Love your work guys!
I ordered the Hawaiian pizza and ragu alla bolognese via Uber Eats and was really impressed by both. The pizza had a soft and chewy crust like Neapolitan style pizza, and because they used ham hock rather than processed or sliced ham, it had loads of flavour. The ragu was meaty and rich, not tomatoey at all. It hit the spot for me. However, it was incredibly oily. I understand fat coats the tagliatelle nicely but there was a pool of it suggest the chef attempts to drain the excess, as that part of it wasn't appetising. Otherwise, what a gem. I'll be ordering again.
Excellent pizza, I had the squid ink with calamari and it was delish. Very family friendly and they have high chairs. All of the menu looked great so we will definitely be back!!
I know Johnny the owner and he has been part of the Fairfield scene for quite some time, however as much as I like him and what he stands for I have never been compelled to write a review. I actually don't like these kinds of apps that can be very subjective and sometimes pretty depressing when you pour your heart and soul into your business for someone to flippantly write something negative. However after dining there for two nights in a row the new menu is right on the money. My guests from Perth couldn't stop raving. After months of refining and hard work this place is THE place to go to for amazing food.
Have been here a few times. Food has always been tasty but expensive for what you get, hence the low points. Staff have always been very friendly.
Great food consistantly with great service and very family friendly. The kids meals as good as the main meals. Pizza is easily at least on par with the best pizza in Ivanhoe.
We had the chef's menu on Valentines day and it was flawless. So tasty! We haven't been for a simple pizza or pasta but are looking forward to going back. If you can get in for the next chef's menu, you won't be disappointed!

Just had an fantastic dinner at Flour and Salt. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with open arms, service was impeccable, friendly and efficient. I had the vegetarian risotto and my partner had the steak. Both spotless plates by the end! Every time we come to Melbourne, dinner here is definitely a must.
Outstanding tonight! This was out 3rd visit, previous two times it was very good and tonight was outstanding! We have ordered the same dishes every time and noticed some tweets (dining with toddler so no real time to go through the menu and happy to go with what we like).
Started with calamari and brecsola which were beautiful. The lamb pappardelle is delicious and fresh pasta perfectly cooked. We also had duck gnocchi which was exceptional. Ordered bread to mop up the beautiful sauces! Yum. I would love to see a hot salami pizza on the menu, though. We are locals so will definitely be back and it's great to have a decent restaurant on the stripe (especially one that opens at 5 for families).
Went here for dinner with my sisters after hearing they appointed new chefs. We ordered 3 pizzas, which came within a good time after ordering. All pizzas came with a generous serving of fresh and full flavored toppings. The staff were lovely and our glasses of water were never left empty. Great atmosphere, decor and menu. Great job to the staff and owner for continuing to better the restaurant.
This place is amazing! Very friendly staff and great fresh food. Pizza and pasta all hand made and super delicious! Regina margarita pizza is my favorite. Have been here 5 times since it has opened and have always left feeling very satisfied. It just keeps getting better and better. Keep up the great work team!

This place is purely a great eat. I have been many times with various different people and we always leave well satisfied. I am a chef and rate the pizza quite highly. By far the nduja melanzane pizza and the speck Gorgonzola pizza are my personal favourites and the burrata is just simple fresh and delicious!!
It can get quite busy on the weekends so make sure you book. Definitely somewhere I would recommend and return to.

I have to say I am a fussy eater when it comes to pizza however since Flour and Salt has opened I have become a regular customer. The pizzas are amazing and the flavors are fresh. The owner is friendly and takes time to talk to all of the customers. Definitely a must try!
I have eaten here several times since its opening even multiple times in a week. I cannot fault the entrees or pizzas on all occasions that I have visited. Speck and Gorgonzola and bianchetti fritti are my favouritr choices. Keep up the good work.

I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. We decided to hold a private function and we were so impressed with the food served and the service given. Michael went out of his way to make us feel comfortable not having to worry about anything on the day and leading up to the day apart from eating and drinking. When Michael said "Don't worry there will be plenty of food" he was not lying. Thanks again to Michael and the team at Flour and Salt for making such delicious food and helping us to enjoy our day.
Skip the tourist trap and sub-par Italian food of Lygon Street and head to this gem of the inner northeast, tucked away from the main thoroughfare of Station Street in Fairfield. The menu offers a range of delicious pastas, pizzas and specials, brilliant wines and the desserts are sumptuous too. I've taken friends and family here over the past few years and they have always been impressed both with the cuisine and the amiable staff.
We were able to have little Matteo’s baptism over the weekend, and celebrated at Flour and Salt with our family and close friends.

I came with friends, it's a very nice restaurant. The staff are friendly and food was better than I expected. I ordered the reginelle pasta (the one with the garlic prawns), It's perfect, not creamy but light and fresh just how I like it. Try it out you won't be disappointed.
