I've come in the last three days loved A1 Big Breakfast ...came in Monday had a beautiful big lunch with my daughter ...Pulled Lamb Foldover and Falafel Foldover immensely enjoyed it and here I am again came back today with my group of work colleagues we had their authentic trio dips Turkish bread and a combination of mezza's . Highly recommend this place to everybody especially ending the meal with a beautiful special blend coffee and their complimentary bliss ball sweets .. Thanking A1 Staff great job but most of all the owner for her kind hospitality ..u guys are my 5 STAR Cafe/Bakery ...thank u so much

We popped into A1 Fairfield today for brunch . customer service was very spot on being friendly and efficient catering to a buzz of busy people enjoying their Saturday morning . A mix of modern / traditional decor and I Must say the falafels & kibbeh were the best my partner and I have ever tasted !!

It's great to see more A1 Bakeries popping up around Melbourne.
Compared to the Brunswick grandaddy of A1s this is smaller with a more modern cafe feel to it.
The food is just as delicious, the staff are super friendly, the coffee is good and they have bottles of Sriracha on the tables.
My favourites are the classic cheese pie and the sujak pizza. It's great for breakfast on the weekend.

I love a1. We visit regularly and it's always so good - their service and the baked goods. Yesterday I decided to try one of the new sweet buns with the cookies and cream. I thought yeah, probably going to be like other generic scrolls I've had before from other bakeries, you know, kinda dry and not much flavour. I don't know why I thought that - everything else at a1 is great. This thing is dense, creamy and delicious. My 9 year old daughter and I fought over it and we're still talking about it a day later. Why would you do this to me, a1? Why would you create something this good so close to my home??

I’ll never get tired of A1. They make the best Lebanese pastries at affordable prices to boot. I recently tried the kaak for the first time, which was topped with sesame and stuffed with so much shredded halloumi. It paired perfectly with bites of their spinach and feta triangle, which I can’t pass up any time I visit.
I attend A1 almost weekly. Food is amazing,the coffee is the best on Station St and staff are always friendly. I always leave satisfied. Highly recommend.

I love the zaartar pizza! It’s so delicious and I haven’t found any other place that does better Lebanese food than A1
Always a treat coming to A1 bakery Fairfield. Staff always are friendly and extremely welcoming. Food is delicious and consistent (good for takeaway, and dine in). Make sure before you leave to grab a box of baklava to take home :)

My favourite place in Fairfield!! Cant go wrong with the food and coffee here. Everything is also well priced. The cartoccis and haloumi foldovers are a favourite.
Was hoping to try out the newly opened Oasis in Fairfield but their kitchen isn't quite open properly. But A1 definitely didn't disappoint - the place is small but filled with delicious goodies. There's a small courtyard at the back if you don't want to eat on the run. Highlights: Cheese pie! Lamb mince pide! Spanokopita! Lowlights: probably not used to having dine in guests?

Went here for breakfast. Cute courtyard out the back. Very friendly staff. Great variety. But disappointed there was no chicken soup that day. However the home made pies were pretty good!
Nice little café in Fairfield that offers a great selection of Lebanese food. They have a great selection of Lebanese pizza, salads, fold overs, wraps, bread products and a variety of sweets in their window. It’s often hard to choose as everything looks nice and fresh. Staff are friendly and service is very quick. Their inside seating area is quite tight and can get noisy during peak times but they do have a new outdoor courtyard which is great. I ordered a spinach and feta cheese triangle, which was $5. Great amount of cheese too. Perfect for a quick and cheap breakfast, lunch or snack option on the go. Their coffee is nice and strong too.
Dropped past for an after dinner coffee. Any places that stays open past 9pm for coffee is okay in my book. I just wish I didn’t quit eating carbs because the foods looks pretty gosh darn nummers.

Would be fair to say that "rustic" bread making originated from the Middle Eastern, or at least they've been baking bread for thousands of years ...
A1 is a modern version of that "rustic" bread with modern ingredients ... can't beat that freshly re-heated bread in the oven for $5.00, it was Spinach & Haloumi triangle, coupled with a latte from down the road, for under $10.00 it was a divine match made in the middle of Station St, Fairfield.

The place is usually buzzing, a steady stream of table meals and take away orders. If people voted with the feet, surely this would be the people’s choice in Fairfield. On this occasion had the lentil soup and baklava. I’m a big meat fan but the soup was flavoursome and satisfying. Great value too, $9 for both. Friendly service too.
The folded lamb bread was tasty, but a bit sloppy. The chicken soup we shared was beautifully golden from the long cooking time. And naturally sweet from the carrots. The veggies were soft from the cooking (which I love, some prefer "tender crisp"). The questionable element was the rogue pigeon hanging around under the counter. Cute, but sanitary?...
great place, the only food i tried is the pizza and they have the best gluten free pizza base i have ever had. they cater for dietary requirements to.
Great middle eastern food , everything was so greasy and tasty . Coffee was also really good and service with a big hello and smile. Definitely be back..

I eat here atleast once a week. The food is always fresh and delicious. And at great prices too. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I have tried atleast half of the menu items and have loved them all.
Really good ingredients. Everything nicely made & has that middle eastern element. Staff friendly & quick service. This place bit smaller venue & not that many options like the one in Brunswick. This place is very popular to the locals. Love their breads, especially when heated up! Their home made sweets are always good to try, they such good treats after having something savoury. I'm the biggest fan of their homemade soup in winter or the extended cold days of Melbourne. I know they make it fresh daily, cause I once went in at 7:30am and wanted the chicken soup. I was told it wasn't ready yet but I wasn't disappointed cause their lentil soup is very tasty as well. Nice small bakery/cafe. This place is like a hidden gem on Fairfield.
Beautiful happy friendly staff! It's a joy to go in there! The coffee is the best on station street and you can't go past the cheap and delicious spinach and cheese triangles for a quick, easy, filling and delicious breky/lunch on the go! Delish! Couldn't recommend it higher :)
Good food, fabulous service and nice coffee! The Lebanese big breakfast at $12.50 looked tempting, but is kind of plain. The haloumi foldover was tasty. More trendy than A1 Dandenong for sure, more variety too, but a bit more to pay too, which I didn't mind. I still am a fan of A1 Dandenong though.

Not owned by the same people as the one in Brunswick but the service here is 200% better than the other one! The lady at the counter was very nice and patient as I spent time deciding what I want for a quick brunch. She gave recommendations to my brother and explained certain food on the menu to us, making everything easier for us.
The food came quickly with heat. The food was delicious and the bread was fresh.
My brother even commented "this is the best vegetarian soup I've ever had" (and he doesn't even like any food without meat).
Definitely a place you do not want to miss if you pass it. It's a pity it's not close to where I live!

Fantastic selection of halloumis breads soups and everything else. I am very loyal to A1 which is great value. The staff are amazing always fun to talk to and have a few good laughs about anything.

A1 make good inexpensive food. The place is always busy. The staff are friendly and service is good. The coffee is actually quite good too. You can get a nice cheap quick meal. The zaatar, cheese pies, spinach and feta, spinach and haloumi triangles are all winners.
I moved back to the area and looked forward to trying A1 Bakery and love it! Great food - delcious baklava and turkish delight. the triangles and turkish bread is sooo cheap so you can stock up. The service is great and the two ladies who work there are just so lovely and friendly. Keep up the fab food and service A1 Bakery :)

I love this bakery as it has all of the delicious, cheap, fresh options as can be found at their Brunswick shop but with a much more chilled & friendly vibe.
Edit - actually they don't have all the options, which is understandable as it's a fraction of the size! I'll probably stick to the brunswick one for the amazing falafel platter.

Great addition to fairfield.. It's great to have an A1 bakery in Fairfield - I'm staying here for a few months and I was overjoyed when I found it. I visit the big A1 bakery whenever i'm on Sydney Road. However, for me, one of my favourite things about the Sydney Road A1 is the chilli sauce to have with the awesome pastries. Please get chilli sauce in Fairfield!!!
This has been a terrific addition to the neighborhood. The food is great. Sensational breads. Wonderful salads too. I've just brought home lunch from there and I enjoyed it so much. Prices are very reasonable and the owners/staff have been very pleasant each time I've been in. A1 bakery people, just keep doing what you're doing because it's working really well.
My friend & I come here on our lunch break regularly and we love it. The service is always friendly and fast and the prices are very reasonable, about $4 for a pastry or $7 for a pizza. My friend is vegetarian and there's plenty of vego options too. Ordered a soy latte after lunch which was made with bonsoy and had great latte art. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends.
Never disappoints.... My husband and I live locally and eat here often. The food is cheap and cheerful. The dips, the pies.. love it all. The service is good too. The coffee is also great. Its always busy and its easy to see why.
Just wish they would make the courtyard smoke free as I love to eat outside but its annoying as it is a contained space and gets smokey. Also the price/size of baclava confuses me a bit. I used to order it but sometimes I get a piece the size of a finger and then other times I'd get a half size piece and get charged the same.. so I don't bother getting them anymore even though they are tasty :)
This is such a great little bakery. I’d say the kind that I would drive an extra suburb at least to get to.
They have lots of ingredients for Mediterranean, middle eastern or just generally delicious cooking.
The fold overs are less than $10 and they’re a steal - really nice, healthy lunch.
The staff are always great - and there’s often a queue but it moves quickly.
Strongly recommend.

I love this place and love the authentic sourdough breads. I don't know how the Bakers Delight down the road stays in business with this competition in town. Do yourself a favour and walk past the big chain and enjoy something fresh and well made from A1.
