Review Pizza Stazione - Fairfield

Used to like this place - and I don’t normally write reviews, however …. $20 gourmet Greek pizza. 1. Base was undercooked 2. Toppings were average at best 3. Lamb (the key topping) was sparse and chewy (old) 4. Claimed Tzatziki topping is some cheap supermarket sauce. Really disappointed

Very disappointed. Ordered the divine lamb pizza, got it home to start eating and all I could smell was garlic. It was covered in garlic, which was not listed in the ingredients. I can't eat garlic, so that was the end of my pizza. Also, I ordered two gluten free bases but they only had one, so the other pizza had a gluten base, which they didn't mention until we got there to pick it up. Won't be back.

The finest pizza that's very very very close to Fairfield Station, hence the name. Note that when pronouncing Pizza Stazione, it's best to use wild Italian gesturing and pince the fingers together for fuller flavour.

We had lovely pizzas & pasta until an error from Pizza Stazione, which we were advised we would have a credit. Now several months later have not been able to order from delivery services once our Thornbury address is entered says too far? Blacklist? Very sad when we tried to support many local businesses during CoVid

Very nice pizza (got the lamb one) with a great combination of toppings. A little on the pricey side, but well worth a visit. Service was quick and friendly.

So yum. Ordered on Uber Eat. Arrived really quickly and was yum. I asked for extra pineapple and got exactly what I wanted. Stazione Special Pizza (with added pineapple, no olives) This will probably feed me for a few meals. I’ll definitely be going back. Cheers.

A consistent performer and good value if you're ordering pizzas for a group dinner.

Good qual bogan pizza. Can hit the spot with beers etc 👌🏼 only thing is can be slight dry around the crusts.. could use a dipping sauce or some hommus to go with it? Or just some more cheese and sauce around the edges too ;) They don’t deliver

In need of a quick pizza fix while out, we picked up a few takeaways from this classic pizza joint in Fairfield. Service was really quick even though it was a busy Saturday night and the staff were friendly.<br/><br/>Our pizzas were really good, with a nice chewy crust and plenty of delicious toppings. The Capricosa was delicious and the vegetarian pizza had plenty of toppings. They were definitely value for money, and the medium size eas still quite generous. Pizza Stalzione was a really good choice to fix that pizza craving and I would certainly order them again.<br/>

Really tasty! Nice people. We ordered a spicy pizza and a chicken pizza. Both are very good. They are crispy but not very dry. The ice cream is also delicious. Highly recommended!

Excellent pizza with delicious crust. Have mastered the crust ratio between soft and crunchy. Friendly staff who will make you feel at home and an extensive range of toppings to choose from.

Great pizza option for a busy, slightly disorganised night! Lovely base and generous toppings. Might not be my first choice for a casual dinner in the area but quite enjoyable food.

Favorite pizza place its situated in Fairfield. Been here over 20 times. <br/>Their pizzas are very consistent excellent in quality, they use fresh ingredients & pizzas taste yummy. There's great value when ordering the large or family pizza deals. Thumbs up to their gluten free pizzas.<br/>Bit hard to dine in as the dining area is on the small side. Takeaway is what we go for & never been disappointed.

Ordered two small pizzas and a pasta. <br/>Service: I live about a 5 minute drive from Pizza Stazione, from ordering to delivery only took 30mins so I was very pleased! <br/>Food: <br/>Pasta- Ordered Calabrese <br/>I did wish they cooked the pasta for just another 3 minutes and that the onions were finely chopped rather than in big chunks. <br/>I did like the flavour of the pasta, there was enough salami and it was topped with a lot of cheese. It has this spicy kick but not to spicy that it's not enjoyable. Overall good in flavour. <br/><br/>Also serving size is generous, came in rectangular plastic takeaway container but it was deep and bit bigger than normal. <br/><br/>Pizza- Ordered Romano and Prosciutto <br/>Romano pizza was my favourite, it did taste very good and the chorizos were cooked to how I like them crispy. The flavours with the capsicum and spring onions worked very well. <br/>Prosciutto pizza, I found the prosciutto used did lack a bit of a kick of flavour to it. Not a bad pizza just the prosciutto it self just needed a bit more body to it. <br/><br/>The pizza base for both of the pizza were great, crispy crust and thin base. The dough itself is not doughy or chewy. <br/><br/>Price: Very reasonable especially for the quality and flavour of the pizza <br/><br/>Looking forward in trying the other pizzas!

I ordered many times from this place... always a great experience.. pizze are always good.<br/>Online orders take a while to come... more than once we waited over 1 hr... and i live in Fairfield!<br/>Price could be a little lower... but when the quality is ok you are happy to pay a bit more.

We enjoyed eating at Pizza Stazione! Well priced and a great service! The only thing that I could fault was the wait time for pick up and delivery.

Excellent solid go to takeaway. It's my fave in the area as it's still reasonably priced, unlike other more upmarket style pizza joints on high St. Quality always good and fresh.

We had two pizzas here; a vegetarian and one with 'the lot'. Both pizzas were really nicely done. They were fresh and tasty, not greasy and with a thin crust. Thin crusts are not to everyone's taste but we enjoyed them. The only thing thing is we ate in and the set up for eating in is basic; a big communal table with stools or a few tall stools at a window counter. You are lucky to get a napkin. This is more a take-away place and it was very busy with orders. Prices were very reasonable and pizzas were good.

Favourite pizza place. I've been to a few across Melbourne. This has to be my favourite. My go to place when after that cheat meal. Recommend this place. :)

Very disappointed the pizza dough is not right How can they get it so wrong? Mushrooms are put through a paper shredder. Not that hard to make a pizza. <br/>

Best pizza in the North. Fresh tasty ingredients and the bread is so fresh light and amazing! Glad I discovered this place. Classic gourmet pizzas for a descent price and not over stepping it like Pizza Tonight in Northcote Plaza or For the love of pizza or il Pizzaiolo in Thornbury. I'll be coming back every Friday guys!

Very disappointed. We ordered at 7.30. Called at 8.45 and were told they had delivered our pizza. They delivered it to the wrong house and were rude to us about their mistake. Then we waited another hour for our food. I would have been happy if the food was good. It was barely average :(

Nice people, awful pizza. It just lacks something critical.. Some kind of sauce. I ordered two gormet pizzas and they tasted like something from the frozen section. Nice people though.

Mediocre pizza. I ordered a delivery pizza from here on Saturday evening, ( from the left side of the menu) hoping for great things from reading the reviews. Though the pizza wasn't bad, it was certainly not amazing. The base wasn't lovely & thin like you get on good gourmet pizzas and there was an overly generous serving of (salty) topping - if you're the greedy type of pizza lover and prefer quantity over quality (Pizza Hut style) then maybe this pizza will be for you, otherwise try somewhere else as there are many more delicious pizzas! <br/>Pros: Generous toppings <br/> Reasonable delivery times <br/> Good price <br/>Cons: Too salty <br/> Base could be thinner<br/> Ingredients are just ok <br/><br/>Such a shame as I really wanted it to be great!

Best local pizza. Tried this place after a friend recommended it. Happy to have finally found a great local pizza place. Love the pizza and the price is reasonable too. Haven't tried other meals on the menu, but highly recommend the pizza.

Decline in Standards. Used to be okay but received a poor meal recently with undercooked - raw chicken wings and pasta that was thin on meat content.<br/>When I gave feedback it was not accepted as I "didn't ring back on the night". Didn't address the issue at all and took no ownership of the problem. <br/><br/>Will look elsewhere in future.

Vegetarian. As a vegetarian Is very hard to find a good pizza. I have to said that im totally hooked with this one, vegetables are so fresh and is so tasty! ;)

Yum!. First place we went after moving to Fairfield, and we haven't been able to bring ourselves to go anywhere else.. The BBQ meatlovers is the go :-)

Best Pizza in the area by far!!. I've been in this area now for about 6 months and I'm shattered its taken me so long to find this place... Seriously amazing pizza.<br/><br/>The guys who run the store are also really nice and friendly. They even offered to make me my own custom pizza next time.<br/><br/>If you're in the area just try it.. Don't make the mistake of going to the other sub par pizza joints in the area.

Wow amazing! I wish I'd discovered this pizza place years ago! A passionate chef who has perfected his pizza with obvious love and lifelong dream of delivering amazing pizza straight to a hungry belly and warm heart! Purfect! Try these 3...tandoori chicken, peri peri and Grecian and you will never go anywhere else! We won't!

The pizza base was flakey and dry and the pizza had very little flavour<br/>One slice on our half capricciosa had no mushrooms at all on it! <br/>When making an order over the phone we were asked to hold and then the man answered 'hi'... There was no introduction to the restaurant or anything for that matter.<br/>While the pizza was cheap in price, the quality was not worth it

Good pizza. It's hard to find a decent pizza in Melbourne these days, and I'm very happy with the pizza here. The base is thin and crispy (not soggy or flavourless!), the toppings are good and delivery was fast. I'll definitely eat here again.

Super tasty pizzas with fresh, high quality ingredients. We ordered our pizzas from home and by the time we had walked there (not even 10 minutes), our pizzas were ready. The gourmet pizzas seem a little expensive, but they certainly are yummy. You definitely get what you pay for!

Wonderful Pizza. We have made this our local pizza place. Thin bases, right balance of ingredients, friendly staff and decent prices. A must try!

Wonderful pizza. Worth the delivery time! I rarely branch out to new pizza toppings but I did tonight. Divine lamb I think is what it was called. Beautiful mix of ingredients but it could have has that little more feta or spice or something... Just to give it that kick. Brother thinks the margarita is a little salty but otherwise, I definitely recommend this place!

Woah!! Hold the garlic!! Despite being a lover of garlic; the amount of crushed garlic they put on their pizzas actually ruined the whole experience. Ease up on the garlic and it would be the best pizza in the area.

No!. We've given these guys ample opportunity to deliver a good pizza.. It was good when they first took over the shop but now we just feel like we're getting ripped off every time we give it a go. Never again!

Best pizza in Faifield. Tasty, good quality and value. We just found our local pizza joint!

Wish we lived closer. Hands down one of the best Mexicana pizza's I have ever had. Other honourable mentions were the Grecian (lamb and tzatziki) and Mediterranean (artichokes and sun dried tomatoes). Bases are fantastic and topping are generous without making the pizza's soggy.<br/><br/>Free and timely delivery, although as expected you will have to wait a bit on Fri/Sat nights for delivery.

Nice thin crust pizza with quality toppings. Reasonably priced and free delivery. I'd give it a 7.5/10
