Food is absolutely always delicious every single time I come. The BEST japanese food i’ve ever had and can not wait to come back.
Such good value for money! I love their all you can eat option, but I always end up rolling out of Okami with my jeans undone. Mostly cooked to order, the food can be a little slow to come out sometimes, but if you ask the staff about a dish, they are quick to follow up with the kitchen.
The nigiri platter was good, as were all the entrees we tried, except the gyoza. Prob wouldn’t get the gyoza again. The sukiyaki beef can be a little overly fatty, I know the cut of meat is meant to be this way, but this time the fat taste overpowered the sauce. The teriyaki steak is my fave, so consistently good! The stir fried veggies are also amazingly moorish. Thanks Okami!

This is my once a month go to. Who doesn't love all you can eat Japanese food??
The meats are cooked to perfection. The service is wonderful and you can choose sizes of dishes.
They have an awesome array of drinks and the dessert is amazing and hand made.
I've tried most of the menu and it's delicious a few faves include: agadashi tofu, takoyaki, seaweed salad, sushi and sashimi platters, squid, and miso steak.
Highly, highly recommend!!

Family dinner at Okami in Fairfield proved to be a winner for the hungry young men. Part of our table of 10 chose from the a la carte menu. Others chose the 'all you can eat'.
I chose the favourite of teriyaki chicken which was a very generous portion size, served with a small side salad. Taste was very good. Others had the potato croquettes and the eggplant salad as entree. Tofu was a little ho hum and much like jelly in texture.
However, the people that ate the 'all you can eat' were being served plateful after plateful of a variety of interesting dishes. Sushi, , miso soup, sashimi, gyoza, vegetable kakiage, tempura, beef udon, chicken katsu and fried rice. Oh so much food. And the young men just kept eating.
Had a small amount of saki which was served warm (as it should be) and a pretty good taste. Something I'm still struggling to get the taste for.
Staff are excellent and extremely helpful. This place is great value for money.
The restaurant is very kid friendly. Wheelchair accessible. Good parking out the front but if you're struggling to find something, park on the west side behind the strip of shops - large parking area there.
Now I apologise for no food photos but really, I don't always feel comfortable snapping pics of what everyone is eating. There is a time and a place and it's not always appropriate.
My expectations were very high for this restaurant. I had been waiting for very long time. So when I arrived my expectations had been impressed.
The food is very good with nice large menu. It has entrees and mains and even desserts! In terms of waiting for food was fine it took like ten minutes so that's fine! My highlight dish was the the Gyozas.
All in all I highly recommend going to this restaurant asap. (Also love the little manga in the side of menu😛)

The All you can eat system they have is great - ordering as you go. I’d say it’s worth it for the sashimi alone. Pretty good quality.

Finally tried this place and was not disappointed. The food was amazing, every single dish we had was fresh and delicious. The service was exceptional and at $32 all you can eat what can I say...will definitely be going back!

This is a cheap and cheerful place to go for a mid week dinner or something more informal. Can’t go past bang for buck here.

Food quality is fantastic for what you pay for. We did the all you can eat, and boy did we eat, everytime the server came to clear our plates, we ordered another round until last call

Great selection of hot and cold food, when the food came out, it appeared it was all cooked to order, buffet also includes ice cream and the service was great.
A very clean and inviting restaurant, the staff are excellent and the service is prompt and the dishes arrive quickly. You will find that you need a break every now and then to slow it down a little. I love Japanese food and we found the quality and range of dishes was excellent, the only dish that did not live up to my expectations was the octopus balls, not nearly as tasty as those which we have had in Japan. For $33 or $30 if you have a seniors card you will not get better value for money! It’s even BYO for $5 corkage. We will definitely be back!

I have been to okami in knox & greensborough but never in fairfield. Must say for service this one was by far the fastest! As soon as we sat down they asked us what we would like & not soon after we had our food in front of us. The staff were very friendly & helpful. My favourite dishes is the teriyaki chicken & teriyaki steak.
Friendly staff, great food. Serving sizes are perfectly catered to amount of people at the table. Sushi was surprisingly great. Happily return!
This is my third visit at Okami and I must say that Fairfield location was greatest! The meals came steadily even though they were busy! We had quite the selection of the items but as usual the beef carpaccio was the winner for us! Other memorable pickings were the miso steak, takoyaki, sashimi platter and black sesami ice cream. Service was prompt and polite. Will be back again
Pretty good. Food comes out fast and is fresh and tasty. Wish there was more dessert variety but otherwise very good. For an all you can eat restaurant it is great.
This restaurant provide great foods, good quality, good service, nice dinning environment. What I can say is worth my money. I like to write review if you follow me. The point of this restaurant is to have a small portion but a lots of food. Anyway this is also the spirit of buffet. Otherwise you can’t have all the foods in your stomach. Apart from every body having dinner in old fashion buffet. This restaurant can serve you their food by your order. So I believe their foods are fresh made. And compare with fresh made food, their price are cheap again. Consider a main course in a normal restaurant which will cost you at least 16 dollar. You can have all food here for paying 2 normal main course price. They are clever and we are happy. What a win win situation.
Great addition to the neighbourhood. Food is good and fresh. Prices are also reasonable considering the serving size and freshness. This is not a fast joint as they take time to prepare the food so you need to allow sufficient time for dining in or takeout. We ordered the chicken kaarage and tempura and fried rice and it took 30 minutes for the takeout to be ready. Compared to the other asian places in the neigbhourhood, this one will be my first go to place. Now...just waiting for a Korean restaurant to open up in Fairfield.
Amazing food, lovely staff, and great atmosphere/decor.
Food servings are based on amount of people you have on your table, i.e 3 people you get 3 potato Croquettes per serve or 6 sushi rolls per serve.
Food is made fresh when ordered, so take that into consideration when timing your orders.
All in all a great experience and will definitely be bringing all my friends back in the future.

Had a dinner with my friends yesterday. Food is really nice. Nice renovation. Friendly staff. Really enjoy it. Will come back again for sure!!!
Get the All-You-Can-Eat menu! It's such good value. For less than $40 per person you can get beautifully presented, fresh and delicious sushi, sashimi and other Japanese food. Everything we had was wonderful. We got the plum wine too, but (through bitter experience) discovered that you're not meant to eat the salty AF dried plum the bottom of the glass. I recommend the takoyaki, the salmon sushi plate and the karage chicken. Also, if you leave more than 200 grams of food they will charge you for the leftovers! Warning to all those with eyes bigger than their bellies.
Fast, clean, tasty and fresh! Really nice and patient staff! Recommend 100000 times with million stars! Definitely come back every week! Btw you must try plum wine!
When you go to a all you can eat restaurant sometimes a little hard to control your urges.
When the food is as tastie as it was, it is really worth it, if you haven't eaten at one of the many Okamis around Melbourne do your self a favour book in and enjoy the evening.
I been to 3 okamis and this is by far the best in my opinion, they brought the food almost instantly. The staff were super attentive and helpful, and the food tasted amazing thank you for making it a great experience 🥰

I really loved to see that if there was a certain amount of food wastage that there would be an extra cost to customers. It was cool to see a consequence for food wastage. Just make sure you order to what you can manage to eat :)
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here with my parents. Always love a meal at Okami for value for money and delicious food. This particular had lovely staff who made us feel really welcomed.
