I have been here many times & it has never disappointed. Yesterday was my 60th birthday celebrations with my daughter, her partner & a family friend. My favourite dish of beef massaman curry did not disappoint. Several other dishes were also enjoyed. Special treat was staff singing happy birthday & getting complimentary fried icecream. Highly recommend this local gem.
Wow! The food here was fantastic and large portions. Went to the Fairfield restaurant with my wife and three teenage boys. We all had something different including deserts it was all better than expected. Best Thai restaurant I’ve ever eaten at the the service was great and friendly. This place will become a regular for us. Still lots to try from the menu.
GP has never disappointed in service, food and atmosphere. Been to the Fairfield, Blacktown and city restaurants and all deliver exceptional service and delicious food. Finish off your meal with a fried ice cream that won’t disappoint!
Absolutely unfaultable! The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. My favourite was the soft shell crab, not to mention the best mojito I’ve had in a long time. Shame it’s not close by but I’ll be going back for sure!
Everything was amazing! Our large group of 10 couldn't fault the food or the service. We were greeted with very friendly staff who were more then happy to accommodate the fussier eaters of the group. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. I will definitely be back
Fantastic! We recently celebrated my partners birthday at Green peppercorn and they made the night one to remember. Can not fault the service, they were so catering to our large group. I would highly recommend the restaurant all food, cocktails and desserts were amazing.
The staff were amazing. They arranged a table for us under pressure considering circumstances. Fantastic food for the whole family as always. Will definitely come back again and again and again
Great atmosphere, great food.. Top quality Thai/Lao food.. Papaya salad, warm beef salad and the ox tounge all great dishes..
Great thai food great service great prices...fast service ...book in advance this place packs out fast...Enjoy!
Love my chilli basil stir fry here! And my favourite watermelon shake.!!!! Keep up the good work guys amazing.
The food was great
Service was ordinary
Staff are nice just comatosed
Maybe it is better at night when tgey are busy
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend.
Food is always amazing and the service is always on point
Had a wonderful lunch the food and service were 5star
Awesome food, atmosphere and service👌 Great menu selection with lots on offer.
Very good & fast service 🖒🖒🖒really love the place & staff
Last night was an amazing menu & cocktails. Thanks so much. I had a blast!! Will do again.
Loved the food best Thai food they were so quick as well
I love the food, affordable, nice and comfortable place and service was great!
Awesome food, great atmosphere and great service considering the restaurant was packed.
This place is hektic can't complain. Food is amazing staff are allgoods. :)
Mind blowing flavours n staff were very good .
Another great place for Thai food.... The portions are quite large. The service was a little slower considering the crowd that they had. Overall the food was great
Green peppercorn has been my all time favourite thai/laosian restaurant. With a great variety of dishes and perfectably balances flavours. Highlight dishes include pad see ew, grilled ox tongue, pork belly, fried icecream and fruit shakes. If you want delicious Thai food this is the place to come.
A great place for Thai and Laotion Food.
I ordered the:
- Marinated Dried Beef: One of the highlights - was delicious. The taste is very different from the ones you find in Chinese / Singaporean food stores and was surprisingly juicy.
- Lao Sausages: Wasn't too bad - a staple and solid dish
- Combination Crispy Egg Noodles: This one was the most lackluster. I didn't like the taste and the sauce they used when you mixed it. In my opinion, it needs to have more of a savory flavour rather than a sweeter sauce but that's my preference.
- Chicken Penang Curry: It wasn't too bad - a solid 4/5 curry
My favourite Thai restaurant! It's always been a great experience every time I have visited :)
I came here last night for my sister's bday dinner and ordered quite a few dishes which all came out timely with great service.
Foods ordered:
- Ox tongue
- Lao papaya salad
- Soft Shell Crab
- Salt & Pepper Calamari
- Seafood Thai Fried rice
- Chicken Pad See Ew
- Sticky Rice
- Fried Ice Cream
- Pandan Waffles
Drinks Ordered:
- Jasmine green tea
- A bottle of moscato
- Glass of Rose
- Chamboard Lemonade
A dinner for 5 came to a total of only $180 which is really cheap in my opinion since we were stuffed! Highly recommend!
Love coming to Green Peppercorn cause I know the food will be delicious every time! Presentation and flavours are 10/10 here and service is pretty good. Little bit of a pricey venue but definitely worth the money if you’re celebrating a special occasion.

My go to thai place. Food are generally tasty. Store can be very busy and long waiting times at certain periods. Services are slow and because they're very busy, not very attentive.
A little more spacious than it’s sister Holy Basel Restaurant, it can be easier to get a table here but be prepared it can be quite loud and difficult to hear in large groups due to the larger space.
Been here many times and it really never disappoints! Food is delicious and affordable. Definitely a regular place to dine at!!
Arrived here on a Sunday night and it was incredibly busy, we were lucky enough to get a table but getting a waiter’s attention to have our order taken took a bit of effort.
Despite that, the food here never disappoints.
The Thai red curry and the pad Thai were lovely and as always with generous servings (we struggled to finish the meal).
The Thai milk tea is also nice but the avocado shake seemed very light on taste.
We recently held a birthday party at Green Peppercorn. The service was excellent (special mentions to Steven and IV who took care of us all night). The food is also fantastic - very tasty Thai cuisine. We enjoyed a variety of entrees and mains. My favourites were the chicken Pad Thai and the curry puffs.
For our function, we used the party room which had beautiful decor including Thai decor and a greenery backdrop for photos. They also provided a cake table and cake stand. At the end of the night they brought in a drum and sang Happy birthday with a fried icecream (So delicious!!!!) All these little things made it an extra special night and we are so grateful to all the wonderful staff. It’s not easy to look after such a big group and they did a good job! Highly recommend this place for any functions or just a meal with friends or family!
PS They do not charge public holiday surcharges which is good.
The service is very poor I booked for 7 but I didn’t get seated until 8:30pm what kind of Hostess is that. The food is well flavoured and it well balanced the portions are great for sharing.
Interior design is gorgeous and food here is pretty good, you can tell its genuine stuff. Pad thai is nice, boat noodles aren't mind blowing but still decent. My mum went to high school with the owner of the restaurant and she's really killing it right now good on her
We love the food there, esp. pineapple fried rice and snapper with mango salad.
Deco is nice. Service is quick and staffs are friendly.
Best to make booking, very busy restaurants.
One of the few places I recommend when I feel like having Thai closer to home, Green Peppercorn serves great dishes coupled with a lovely interior and good service. Great for families or big groups as portion sizes are quite big. Dishes are slightly on the pricier side, but are usually always of quality.
My family and I came for an early weekend dinner and had the banana flower salad, pad see ew (beef), chilli basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice and virgin mojito (lychee) to share.
I highly recommend the banana flower salad. It had a generous amount of chicken and delicious sauce to go with it. I also recommend ordering something else to eat with it, like a rice dish. The pad see ew was also a favourite, though we wished for more noodles. The other dishes were also great but nothing to shout about.
It usually gets pretty loud during busy times and waiting times can vary from 10-45min depending on how busy the restaurant is.
Every dish was amazing, would recommend to all my friends for Thai in the area. Really enjoyed the Pad See Ew and Soft Shell Crab. Best to buy multiple dishes and share as a group. Can’t go wrong with their creme brûlée. It gets really loud and busy during dinner time, best to make a booking in case
The best thing about this place is that its close to home, and it has my all time favourity ordering dish, Pad Thai with just the right portion to munch down on. Every bite I take, it just gets better and better, the service was excellent, the ambience is chilled and the taste just gives a little kick of Thailand. Gotta just love adding more chilli powder into the meals so the taste makes it alot better every single time.
My favourite thai place to dine when i’m feeling thai-rific. The restaurant offers an array of soups, stir fries, desserts, side dishes and noodles, you name it! We opted for the chicken pad thai and pad see ew! This place actually makes it spicy when you request it. So thats a thumbs up for me. The portions are quite big for what you pay. It is a little on the pricier side of thai food, but the quality is superb. Everything was tasty and the interior of the restaurant is beautiful! The service is also very friendly! Definitely recommending this place.
The first of a very popular chain of lao-thai restaurants, from the same family that brought us Holy Basil.
Consistently amazing food all around.
The best Thai food I've had in ages!
Lip-smacking dishes, commendable service and decent ambience. Every dish had a splendid aroma of the spices and flavours blended to perfection!
Definitely visiting again! :)
I've heard about this restaurant from a number of friends and I was not disappointed when I decided to try it! What an amazing Thai restaurant! Probably better to come here for lunch as it does get very busy at dinner time. Food is flavoursome, well portioned and well priced. My favourite is the pad see ew. I'll be back soon.
Absolute all time favourite Thai restaurant. Never a bad meal. Must try’s include the chicken pineapple fried rice, lamb massaman curry and the pork belly. Service is always great too.

Yummy and Delicious
I visited this restaurent with my friends for a catch up.
the food was delicious. We arrived at this restaurant 15 minutes before the kitchen closes, we thought that the chefs might do a bad job due to us being so late however the food was very very nice.
I very much recommend the Chilli and Basil Fried rice with Beef.
This restaurant offers A VARIETY of meals to choose from.
I would recommend however the restaurant hire a few more staff to work the floor. We had to order table water twice until we actually got some table water.
Green Peppercorn is known for delicious Thai food in Fairfield - the original venue. The venue has since expanded into the city. It's quite a large venue in Fairfield but still has a big line on the weekend. . I head here on a weeknight so getting a table is quite easy. There's already quite a few tables filled as it opens up on this particular Wednesday evening. We order a few dishes to share because that's just how I roll.
Full of flavour but food took a while to come out
Green Peppercorn serves Thai and Lao food. We went to the restaurant in Fairfield, located in Fairfield Hotel. Modern decor with birdcages hanging from the ceiling and a Tuk Tuk (motorized vehicle) at the entrance of the restaurant.
As a diner at the restaurant, you would think that you could park at the back of Fairfield Hotel, but we were told it's only for their patrons and to look for parking elsewhere. She wasn't very nice about it and did not suggest where to park either. I had to move my car as a result. There is limited off street parking available.
For lunch, we ordered Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao with thick flat rice noodles, both came with seasonal vegetables and served with 5 pieces of crispy chicken and a small bowl of soup. We also ordered a Pork peanut sauce stir fry with steamed rice and a small bowl of soup. To drink, I ordered a Thai milk tea.
The Thai milk tea was yummy served with ice. Sometimes I order it hot on a cold day, still tastes good. It took a while for the food to come out but was well worth the wait. The Pad See Ew was yummy, slightly a bit too sweet but still tasty. Vegetables cooked well, didn't taste raw whilst maintaining the crunch. Pad Kee Mao was yummy and spicy! If you can take the heat, this is a winning dish. There was just enough vegetables, not too much or too less. Both dishes had so much flavour, an explosion of flavour in your mouth with each bite. The soup was topped with shallots and coriander and was nice, not too salty. The crispy chicken however, was the downfall to the dishes. It tasted dry and did not look nor taste like it was freshly made. There wasn't enough flavouring to the chicken either. Both dishes were presented nicely. It tasted just as good as it looked (besides the chicken).
The pork peanut sauce stir fry with steamed rice was nice. I specifically asked whether it was chilli and I was told no but it was mildly spicy. It had a burst of flavour with every bite. The steamed rice was cooked well and wasn't soggy or dry. The dried onion sprinkled on top gave the rice a nice texture. The soup was the same that was given with the noodle dishes.
Staff were friendly.
Verdict: Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu but will not be ordering anything with the crispy chicken. Off street parking only available.
The food was great but the highlight of the dishes would be the pandan creme brûlée. It was my first time having this so I was pretty amazed. The service was great also.

What can I say simply one of the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. The staff are so friendly the customer service was amazing and The atmosphere is really warm you feel like you're at home
I have been a few times. My fav is the barramundi with the mango salad. The fried ice cream is nice but not the best I've ever had. I also didn't mind the bbq prawns but ypu don't get many and it's quite expensive. If it was a bit cheaper i would come more often
I love coming here for Thai food! This is my go-to place for good local Thai. I always order the roasted duck red curry with stick rice and it never disappoints. It is consistently good, creamy and full of flavour. The service is always quite quick, even on busier days. Everything I've ordered here from pad see ew, pad Thai to Ox tongue has been great. Also, their desserts are delicious with the fried ice cream being my all time favourite. Will continue to come here for good food.
As always great food and atmosphere at the venue. My favourite is the crispy pork belly on spinach dish. Never can they go wrong with that dish. Thank you so much.
Delicious food, incredible atmosphere and service. I've never had a bad dish here! My favourites include the banana flower salad, soft shell crab, crab fried rice and of course the fried ice cream! They don't take reservations and it can get quite busy on some nights, so I recommend going early or being prepared to wait.
Went here for a birthday party ☺️
I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and it was amazing! The portion sizes are pretty big, and my brother who eats like a pig wasn't able to finish it, so I think the size relative to its price is good!!
The interior is wonderful!!!
The waiters are friendly and they were extremely attentive.
We had brought along several boxes of donuts in which they made into a donut cake for us. They ring a gong for you when you celebrate your birthday haha
Love this place. One of my favourite Thai restaurants. The staff is nice. The food is delicious. The desserts are to die for. The deep fried ice cream is a must have 👍👍
Been there on numerous occasions for work lunches and catch-up dinners with friends and loved ones. The food never disappoints as it's speaks true to the Thai and Laos cuisines, and is always fresh and well presented. My only criticism is that the service can be a let down when you go there; the waiters and waitresses have a habit of focusing on just bringing dishes out to people. Not once did anyone ever come to the table and asked if we needed more water or other basic things; this happens even when it's not that busy at lunch service.
One of my all-time favourite thai restaurants! The dessert here is amazing (I love the fried icecream and the creme brulee). I have tried a huge range of their dishes and have loved them all! :)

Have been here so many times I've lost count! Best Thai in town! Love everything they serve! The snapper with green mango salad 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 and their deep fried ice cream also a winner
Really enjoyed the food! We had satay skewers, mixed entree, sticky rice, chicken pad that, combination chilli jam fried rice and ox tail bbq. Everything was fresh and tasty and you could really taste the chilli in the dishes - loved it! Two of us had the vanilla bean creme brulee - it was huge and had we known we would have shared. Only negative was that one main came and was eaten well before the other two. Definitely coming back!
Usually this place is packed but this weekend it was easy to get into.
Good food and service and is fairly priced.
Lighting is a bit poor but other than that, meals are presented well and it's not too long a wait.
Good place to have dinner or lunch with family and friends.
There are pokies to play while you wait and there is also a bar where they can make drinks in request.
Came here with a friend for dinner, had the pad kee Mao, green curry, ox tongue and pad Thai. The prices here are quite expensive. All the meals were quite nice although the ox tongue was quite dry and chewy also was pricey for such a small portion. We also had Thai milk tea was really refreshing!
Really nice Thai food. My absolute favourite to go to. A bit expensive but well worth your money. There's a lot of tables and seats to sit at suiting to your needs.
The foods are very satisfying ! Mixed of authenticity and modern ! Services rated 4/5, even if you have booked in advance, you still have to wait for a good 25-30 mins.
Green peppercorn never disappoints. Great food, however, long waiting time. So if you don't want to wait, make sure you book a table or get in early!
Paw paw salad is absolute delish! Dessert is always a must here. The fried ice cream is recommended.
The Pad Thai, Pad Se-ew and Papaya salad can be made vegan if you just ask and it's totally good. It's what keeps me coming back even though I'm not a massive fan of the vibe. But it definitely is a more atmospheric restaurant compared to the other local Thai eateries so if you're looking for a more polished place to dine then I'd suggest Green Peppercorn. Quality food and nice little aesthetic place.
Love this Thai place :) food here is amazing including the Tom yum soup, soft shell crab !!! Been there with my friend and also brought my family there :) Will defiantly visit this place again ! Ps: street parking is limited !
Came here at the recommendation of a date, loved the food, came back a second time with my parents to celebrate Father's Day and the food was still great. Got the beef pad see ew, the Laos style sausage, the tiger beef salad (medium spice), and fried ice cream 😍😍 Let me tell you right now they aren't kidding about the spice in the tiger beef salad. It is SPICY. I'd say if you want to try this particular salad, stick to the lowest spice level (which I believe is mild), unless you want to melt your face and tastebuds. Food is otherwise great; flavoursome and comes out pretty quickly. Gets busy on weekends/weeknights so you may want to book. Highly recommend this place and very much looking forward to my future visits to satisfy any Thai cravings! 😄
Went here just for dessert on a cold night awhile back. Enjoyed the classics of the fried ice cream and the additional waffles sticky rice ice cream with durian. Would be glad to come back here just for dessert. It's pretty great! 😊

I love this restaurant for great Thai food! They have such a variety of dishes and their dessert is to die for!
The dishes are so authentic and bursting with flavours, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their desserts are great, especially the deep fried ice cream.
It's such a busy restaurant, but if you can't get a table you can hang out at the bar while you wait. The service is good for a busy restaurant. The staff are helpful if you get stuck with what to order.
Service was ok. Food was ok too. Tried a handful of plates, most felt like something was missing like more lime/lemon in the betel leaf and papaya salad. One potato in the Masaman curry but fall apart beef. Highlight would be the black sticky rice dessert and the pandan creme brulee, which we are returning for.
Great Food and Service. Had to wait for the table for few minutes but it was worth it. Our whole group enjoyed it and the service was really on spot. The staff knew what to get and when, top notch
My go-to Thai restaurant because it's easier to get a table here than at Holy Basil (most of the time). The food here has always pretty decent and they have the triangle filo pastry fried ice cream.
Mixed feelings about this place as the food is exceptional. And service is friendly. Atmosphere is great! Just it seems they can't get orders right- so many missed drinks, food ordered that didn't come out, wrong drinks, etc or if they were ordered things took forever.
However if dishes or drinks reached your table they were yummy. Amazing authentic flavours
Located in Fairfield, Green Peppercorn may not look like much else than a simple pub from the outside but don't be fooled, once inside you'll find a beautiful and spacious restaurant with gorgeous interior.
We came here tonight for dinner and assumed that this gem of a restaurant must not be entirely well known as there weren't many people dining inside... but halfway through our meal it suddenly got very busy and it was obvious to us that this was a popular place for lao and thai cuisine.
We were seated at a table and given a menu and table water almost immediately on arrival which impressed us thoroughly. The outstanding service continued throughout our entire dining experience with staff bringing our food to us very quickly and attending to us immediately when we called.
For dinner we ordered chicken chilli basil fried rice, pork pad see ew and the crispy pork belly with a watermelon fruit drink and virgin pina colada for drinks.
The rice and pad see ew tasted good but somehow lacked strong flavour, the rice in particular needed more chilli as it wasn't spicy at all. The pork belly however was delicious and by far my favourite of the 3 dishes. The flavour was light but perfect and the meat itself was cooked to perfection. Giving it the right balance between crispy and tender. The fruit drink was refreshing and highly enjoyable whilst the pina colada was really yummy despite having no alcohol.
Whilst a little on the pricey side for what we got in comparison to some of our other favourite thai restaurants we would still happily return again for both the pork belly and the wonderfully friendly service.
Great food, beautiful interior and friendly staff! Would definitely recommend going here for groups, celebrations and a delicious feed of thai/laos food.
There are people who camp outside in a queue for the new iPhone, but how long is one willing to wait for Green Peppercorn?
I've been here once before with a great old friend about 2 years ago and I remember the fried ice cream was one of my favourites here.
Back for the second try with my boyfriend's friends:
I alone started with the fried ice cream and it came out in ten minutes, before any beverage arrived including table water. Fried ice cream is one of my favourite sweets. It came with some syrupped coconut and raisin mix that complimented the vanilla icecream and pastry so well.
Beef Pad Thai did not let me down. It was to the highest of standards I've had. Not only do I hold a strong memory with this dish at this particular place, the flavours of the dish was well balanced. It was slightly sweet yet a little salty. Usually I get either one, rarely both and not too strong. Beef was surprisingly tender. Certainly recommend this dish.
Soft Shell Crab was enjoyable and very much the same as what's served at Holy Basil. I cannot describe it as I am allergic to crustaceans :( though looked nice and crispy :)
Lamb Pad See Eew had a wonderful sweetness to the noodles though the meat was unfavourable. It was a requirement to get your gnawing skills on! Had a lot of blubbery fat, I couldn't eat it comfortably, a pity as the seasoning was so tasty and the vegetables soaked that taste right up.
Lamb Masman Curry was a winner for the guys. The lamb is extremely tender and succulent, the way it should be. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of curry though it won nodding heads of approval for the rest of the group.
Marinated Quail was absolutely delicious, it was still hot, skin still intact with crispness. The meat inside was moist and juicy. Will recommend this dish also, though bear in mind it is a very small serving, more of an entree.
BBQ Beef was given to us in a disappointing lukewarm heat though was marinated nicely and cooked to medium rare perfection.
We''ve been told the owners of this restaurant and Holy Basil are tied together, though Holy Basil is half the size of Green Peppercorn regarding the number of seating spaces, yet a smooth organised structure was lacking that evening. Our Lamb curry was supposed to come with a complimentary tin of rice which the owners confirmed and was surprised we did not receive it. Instead, we received a complimentary salad from management due to the inconvenience, topped with half a black crab and did not taste pleasant. Could have been an authentic dish but a bit too much for us on top of what we have ordered.
Our table of 5 reduced to a table of 4 due to a 2 hour wait that we did not see coming. We've waited a good hour for Holy Basil but never 2 hours. Just a heads up that the system of 'first in, first served' doesn't apply here as explained by management. It is ruled by the number of people you have. The boys were initially told bookings were not accepted, whether or not it was, could have changed our experience.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere! This place is seriously wonderful! Food is delicious, service is great & overall a really good night out! Have been here for several birthdays and the gong really makes it exciting! I love that there is such a big menu & there's something for everyone on it!...
Yum yum! This place is amazing! I tried it for the first time last night and was blown away by the quality of the food and also service. The restaurant's ambience is very nice and well decorated. We ordered the classics: ox tongue, deep fried quail, roasted duck red curry and also had fried ice cream and pandan waffles for dessert. Really good value for the quality of the food that was served. Definitely coming back again :)
A better and cheaper alternative to Holy Basil.
Good portions, the food tastes & looks so delicious,I love the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant and the service is good.
Overall a very pleasant dining experience.

We love this place!!! Have be coming back since it first opened. We used to eat there every week but now at least once a month. We always order the quail, ox tongue and soft shell crab. The curries are great too and as are the other dishes which we order a mixture of. The service is good, quite prompt and the ambience is lovely especially for Fairfield. A wonderful addition to the area!
Amazing Thai and Lao food! Really tasty and reasonable price. Service are excellent. Room are quiet big and you can book a table as well. It's a lovely place definitely come again.
This is one of my go to Thai places.
The place however can be quite noisy as it echoes.
Staff are friendly although at times it's hard to get their attention for service.
Food was exceptionally good last night. We had a fair few dishes and they were all delicious. Standouts were definitely the ox tongue, it was very tender and the crispy snapper with green mango salad, this is a whole fish best only order with a large group.
Don't forget to save some room for dessert!! Love the deep fried ice cream, pandan creme brulee and coconut sticky rice and mango. All yum yum yum!!!
The price was quiet reasonable. 14 people 8 dishes 7 smoothies and 4 fried icecream all for under $300. Loved the fried icecream, highly recommended to save your stomache for dessert.
Look for the Apsaras in the window.
This place put Fairfield on the food map with flash surrounds, professional service unheard of in the area and great food - all at a competitive price. No wonders there are long queues.
Som tum Thai is an adventurous must as is the home made Lao sausage. Though the quality is pretty high for most dishes on the menu.
Check out the tuk tuk too.
Fairfield is great for finding those authentic Thai and Laos restaurants. There’s quite a few of them near the station which are a winner! But if you’re looking for something with a modern interior andgreat atmosphere of a buzzing restaurant, Green Peppercorn is the one to visit. Sister restaurant to Canley Height’s Holy Basil, Green Peppercorn is a favourite amongst locals for both their savoury and sweet dishes. Their success has also allowed them to open a second restaurant in Sydney CBD’s Civic Hotel.

Food: is always amazing! we have been to this restaurant a few times & the food never seems to disappoint our taste buds!
Their traditional dishes such as papaya salad and larb is always good.
Pad thai is always a must try dish here!
*serving size is great for sharing.
*good service/ hospitality
*in peak times, the wait may take well over 35 minutes, as it is not such a fast turn around time.
Price: 2 people = $65
If you ever feel like thai with a diverse variety, this place is highly recommended.
Great food and well priced too. Sometimes takes a little long to come out but worth the wait. Best thai restaurant in the area for sure. Only bad thing is that it's so popular it's hard to get big groups there on weekends
Went to Green Peppercorn last night and as always the food is unbelievably delicious. We had the Chicken Pad Thai, Red Curry & Stir fry with basil & chilli. Highly recommend the green tea, only $1 & free refills, how could you not :)
Ambience & Food definitely a 4/5 but service was difficult at times to get their attention but they were very friendly. Definitely get there early to avoid long waits for tables as it gets busy fast.

Wow. Just wow. The chefs special pork belly at green peppercorn is just wow. Perfectly cooked pork crackle. Perfectly cooked belly. The pad thai was ok. However, the service is absolutely dreadful. We had to almost physical stop a waiter just to take our order after 20mins of being seated ✌ @foodiesguidetosydney
Only one word to describe the food..Yummm.. Lovely food and loved the ambience. Specially the tuk tuk. Gets really busy so better to book in advance.
Been here twice now and it is always busy, especially Friday and Saturday night. Waited in line for about 30 mins for a table for 4 on a Saturday night. Quite a large dining area splitting into 2 rooms, which can hold functions. One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. A large menu incorporating the popular Thai dishes and also many more.
In my opinion Green Peppercorn is basically the exact same as Holy Basil. Your standard Thai restaurant. The food is good and it's got a nice atmosphere but nothing too amazing. It's a nice place to go to for a good dinner and you can never go wrong with chicken satay skewers and pad thai.
It's so good! If you haven't been then go ASAP. Every dish I've ever eaten there has been tasty and full of flavour. This place is very popular for the locals so be prepared to wait during peak periods. I highly recommend the chilli basil rice and all of the desserts.
Loved the food and busy atmosphere here! Tried the Chicken satay, dried beef strips, red duck curry, pork knuckle, fried ice cream & avocado smoothie. All of it was deelicious! We waited an hour to get a table but had a couple of drinks at the hotel and it was well worth the wait!
Cousin to Holy basil so you can see similarities in their food, reason for this is that they had a feud when they partnered up and now gone their separate ways. However the food are still good and tasty. Located inside the pub/tavern close to the train station makes life easy to get to if you dont live locally!
My picks are deep fried icecream, loas sausage, massaman curry and pad see ew.
Until next time ..... keep eating!!! 😂😂😂
One of the best Thai restaurants around. Whilst you can only make bookings for large groups, the wait time for us (group of 2 or 4) has never been more than 10 minutes. The staff sit you quickly and then someone is immediately over taking your drinks order. The food is fresh and tasty with a special mention for the beef Mussaman curry, satay skewers, soft shell crab, pineapple rice and any of the desserts.
Green Peppercorn is definitely one of the best places in Fairfield and probably the biggest rival of Holy Basil. The food here is a mix of Lao and Thai and a must order dish for me would definitely be the Lao style sausages.
When this place opened and everyone knew it was related to Holy Basil…. This caused a stampede of foodies wanting to give this a try… and after your first time…you’ll realise this place is fantastic. I've always had a great meal every time I visited.
I think portion sizes can be slightly increased for the price you pay for the meal... but the quality is almost always spot on. Service is quite quick and friendly so no hassles with that... and they try their best to get you seated quickly without rushing you when you’re eating just to get quick turnovers. It also helps this premises is a lot bigger than Holy Basil.
Despite it being in a pub it has a nice atmosphere and is well decorated and very clean.
As I dont live in the area anymore I dont visit as often but it's definitely a nice place to go and dine at to enjoy a quite authentic experience and great quality food.
Food is nice and flavoursome, though some of the servings are smaller than other similar restaurants in nearby suburbs. Highly recommend the pandan creme brulee. Food overall is pretty good, so I can understand why its so popular. Nothing spectacular about service or ambience as it felt noisy, busy and impersonal and getting anyone's attention was quite difficult. Not for those after a romantic setting, but perfect for a casual dinner especially for a group.
Absolutely love this place! Traditional decor. Tasty food with hardly any waiting time. Friendly and attentive staff. Been here twice so far, will definitely go back for more.
A Mixed Bag - This Time Around. Not yet six, but the place was filling up fast. First time I was here for dinner and my group of four was eager on a return visit. We wanted to try new dishes where we could and found the Massaman lamb curry tender, smooth and yummy. We were disappointed with the pork knuckle though, it lacked an oomph in taste even if I liked the crackle. Boneless chicken cuts from the blackboard special was not as crispy as we wanted. However the Tom Yum Kung is consistently reliable and good! We shared two servings of the Coconut Jelly Crumble but found this dessert was a bit rich. Saturday night in Fairfield is still exciting nevertheless.
