Review Frank's Restaurant - Fairfield

I was extremely impressed with this restaurant. I had planned to hold an event here, without seeing the place first or trying the food! The staff, service and food really blew me away.. It was exceptional and I highly recommend 👌 🏆 thank you to all the staff for making the event very memorable and amazing 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️

This was actually my first venue of the Fairfield foodie tour last week. Frank's Lebanese Restaurant was my fave venue of the day. Everything is made on-site and they have been going for nearly 25yrs!! 🇱🇧❤️🇱🇧⁣ ⁣ 🐓🐓 I would literally drive to Fairfield from Manly for a meal here again - it was divine! Falafel, skewers, chicken, fattoush, vine leaves, kibbeh naye - everything was perfect!! One of the best chicken dishes of all time - the chicken is the tenderest I have ever eaten. And I could eat kibbeh naye all day long!! You have got to check this place out!⁣

I went there this afternoon to grab my lunch. This place is packed with good flavour food. The customer service it’s always guaranteed at frank’s restaurant. All though i have one not i order tauwk roll and lahmeh ajeen the roll tested great but lahmeh was placed in plastic plate and bag instead of cardboard box it’s was bit sweaty and the dough to be bit soggy other than that all good

Honestly, this is the best Lebanese Restaurant that i have ever been at. The Food is just fantastic. The service is so good, the people are very nice, the puffy bread is just out of this world. Would definitely go there again, just a fantastic restaurant overall. Honestly best Lebanese cuisine in Sydney.

Food and flavours were really nice but take-away packaging can be improved as it's not professionally prepared. They use a thin plastic material with foil over it as the lid. Food was cold by the time I got home. Also didn't take my order correctly as I specifically asked for no onion topping but they still packed onion ontop of my skewers. Took them off but could still taste the onion.

The food at Frank's Lebanese Restaurant was beautiful and very fresh. The staff were so friendly and very welcoming. I will go back and I'll take my friends with me and spread the word . 10 OUT OF 10. Thank you.

Poor service and in professional management. I come with my friend he ordered take away and I had to change to eat in they charged me extra $11 dollars on top of the order which we paid 10 full chicken. Please refrain from this place if u want nice chicken go somewhere not at this place. Rude manager and trying to show off like he has enough money in his bank account. I have worked in hospitality for over 8 years managing 5 star I feel they need to change the attitude get customers on the door

Food & service use you really be good, but something changed over the years and the quality has dropped in there food. Maybe it's their lack if pride or change in chef/cooks. We got takeaway Zaatar w cheese Fatayer (pizza) but ended up throwing most of it in the bin. The base was soggy because of too much cheese to dough ratios. Hope there Falafel is still good at least.

15.00 for a bowl of tabouli and 7.00 for homous!! Bit over the top. Chicken was dry and lamb skewers was so chewy!! Not going there again

Franks has been my favourite restaurant since it opened. The food has always been sensational. As my husband said "you can't fault the place" Tonight my mum, my husband and I had dinner there. The food was amazing (as always) and the service was brilliant. The manager welcomed us like family, he was polite, caring and passionate about his job. We loved dinner at Franks tonight and can't wait to go back.

The only place where you will experience the true authentic taste of lebanese food. You will come back for more, mark my word

I went there last night with some friends. I'd never tried Lebanese food before and I'm very happy to say that Frank's was my first experience. All the food was filling and absolutely delicious. The customer service was excellent, our waiter was polite and personable and made sure that we were compensated for our drinks coming out a little bit late. I'm definitely coming back!

The best Lebanese restaurant, great food, friendly staff, only downfall is, it's hard to find parking, still doesn't stop us travelling from the Blue Mountains!
Marina Estela Gutierrez
What can I say, delicious, delicious food and good value for your money. Nice very nice decor. Can't wait to drop by again for dinner or lunch . 😎😎

Best Lebanese restaurant, reasonable prices, excellent food and plenty of vegetarian options for me. Our guests from New Zealand loved the food and highly rated it also.

Beautiful food, beautiful people and beautiful Service. Best local place to dine on the weekend with family or friends. It’s just become part of local history and been going there since we were kids!
Jim Stevenson
Really nice food and good customer service. Been going to Frank's for over 20 years, and will continue to!

I just left this restaurant and I have to say it is the best food ever! Everything was delicious! Excellent and friendly service! We will be back!

I've been coming here for years and always get the best service and nicest food. Keep up the good work

Love love love this restaurant. Drive 40 mins to get here. Have been coming here for the last 10 years have to say it's only gotten better over time. Best homemade quality Lebanese food ever. Good friendly service and reasonable prices. A definite must visit place for all.

Fantastic food, great price and super friendly staff :)

Overpriced the food and drinks. Annoying part is when I asked for more garlic sauce they added to the bill. They should make it free. Worst waiters and waitresses keep making me and family waiting, before ordering food. That is bad services. They should make better kids and family deals. The food is deliciously Yummy. Awesome

Clean, bit slow as place was empty at 2pm, but good food.

Food was amazing.... and very good value for money... We love Lebanese food

Got a table and prompt service. Had a wonderful meal just loved the Lebanese cuisine. Most importantly my partner loved it as well.

The service here is lovely. I enjoyed all dishes - fattoush salad, chips were perfect, chicken was moist (we needed more garlic sauce as this was not enough), and the mixed shared plate was so good. My first time trying the charred eggplant dip mmmm!!! I love that the worker offered us complimentary tea or coffee - how thoughtful as it goes a long way.

i went here today because it was 20 minute wait for my bus. i got a falafel roll and took a chicken home.

falafel roll was absolutely delicious. the guy knew how to roll a tight roll, the had home made hommous and home made baba ganouj - super smokey, tied it all together.

chicken was nice and moist, flavour is good, not too salty, charcoal flavour present. I will return to try it fresh in store.

service is friendly, place was busy. good stuff.

Can I order 2 of everything!!!!!

I've been here a few times but never knew I can find this place on TripAdvisor.

There are a few middle Eastern restaurants that charge you a lot because they are situated in the heart of Sydney and their food isn't all that terrific.

Franks Restaurant is in Fairfield Sydney and has actual middle Eastern staff working here. The atmosphere is terrific. Restaurant isn't fancy but it's great cause back in the middle east that's what u would expect.

MOST IMPORTANTLY the food. The food is beyond terrific. I've had a few things on the menu but EVERYONE should try the mixed plate. It's cooked properly the middle Eastern style of cooking. I recommend you also try their yoghurt drink. Delicious!!!

Fairfield is a drive from Sydney CBD where most tourist stay.... But I strongly recommend you drive down here and have a meal.

I was looking for a good mix plate and i got told about franks well the staff treat you like family and it has a really warm feeling in the restaurant which makes you feel like you're at home the food was very fresh and the flavours were amazing

A lot of ppl like this place so i tried it but i have no clue why they do. There are heaps of moddle eastern eateries around here and i thought their food was below par. I didn't like anything, i gave it all to my friend to take home.

For quality BBQ chicken...come to Frank's. On a 40+ degree day we thought Frank's would supply the cool environment to enjoy a great meal. Upon entering, the cooling system wasn't too great...however the friendly staff quickly moved us to a table closer to the aircon for a more enjoyable dining experience. We ordered a whole BBQ chicken with Chips and coke for the drink.
The BBQ chicken was delicious with no parts having a dry taste. Two different types of complimentary bread was also supplied.
The decor of the restaurant is new and refreshing with an artsy feel to it.
The only real problem I have with the restaurant is charging $5 for a can of coke! That's almost highway robbery!
Overall, friendly, accommodating staff with delicious food!

vegetarian mix plate is the best. most friendly customer serves and great location and always remember my name

You have not had proper middle eastern food until you've been to this joint ! I am absolutely in love with their meat dishes. Their skewers are not only flavoursome alone, they pack your mixed plate with ulterior options. Absolutely delishhh !
John Isaac
Straight off, you don't go here for the service. It's not fine dining. It's a family style casual eatery which has been there for decades.

The mixed plates have been the signature dishes since they opened and vegetarian options are endless. The food is consistent and portions have always been generous. My take away favourite is the chicken wrap or just on its own with tabouli.

The one downside for me is the location as parking can be an issue.

Their charcoal chicken is the best in the area make sure you ask for garlic sauce. Falafel and tabouleh should also be on your order.
Newly renovated, it's now much more comfortable and a little smaller in size. There's a new pizza oven that is a feature of the restaurant.
Sweetandyummie
Nice lebanese restaurant with a good menu. Come here for the food not the customer service. I highly recommend the mixed plate. Street parking is quite easy on the street.

I got a charcoal chicken from here the other day and let me tell you, it was one of the most moist charcoal chickens I have ever had. The more famous charcoal chicken chains are overrated - take it from me, I've grown up in the south west so I know what I am talking about.
Barbara K
Fresh and delicious. The meats are super tender, the vegetarian dishes are delightful and the babaganoush is great! I wish this place was near my house. The renovations look really good too.
In Fairfield and popular for 24 years-it's easy to see why

This restaurant has been around for a while, the charcoal chicken is famous in the area and still draws a crowd. They’ve also undergone renovations which makes for really nice ambiance compared to anything else in the area. As for the food, I had a mixed plate for the standard price of $19. The standout on the mixed plate was the lamb it was so tender and juicy and well seasoned, probably one of the best lamb koftas on a mix plate I’ve ever had. Will definitely be returning here. Unlike the other reviews we also got dips and tabouli included with the plate however the service could be improved however a gem like this in fairfeld, we didn't mind waiting.
Spoonfeeder
I was a regular. Now i'm not. Their service was bad before the renovation but I could deal with it cause there weren't many customers. Now they have a kazillion customers and still the same useless workers there who will do anything to avoid eye contact which I haven't seen at any other restaurant. Their mixed plates have gotten smaller and they replaced tabbouli and their dips with some cheapie leaves and a bit of hommous. $19 for a mixed plate. Food tastes good but the service means I will only go there if I have to for meetings.... Completely understaffed and underskilled staff. Avoid this place unless you want to wait 30 mins just to be served.

WOW what can I say. loved the food before the renovations and love it even more after the renovations especially with the new menu.

I had invited 20 close family and friends for a special event. We had ordered a selection of Mezza. You are half full by the time your mains come out. Food was out on time and all at the same time. HOT straight out of the kitchen.

* Service was A+++ well mannered staff with a small always on their faces.
* Food was A+++ so fresh and tasty. serving size was perfect
* Decor was A+++ love love love the new renovated decor
* Desert was A+++ advice you all must try the Knefeh WOWWWW love at first sight.

The images they have uploaded is exactly what you get which was A+++ I will definitely be back :-) Thank you ranks restaurant Team for the amazing experience.

You have people complaining that it is too pricey for the area. Mind you these days if you go to an AVERAGE restaurant each main is no less than $25. We always leave franks with a smile on our faces feeling extra full and satisfied.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FRANKS RESTAURANT A++++++++++ FOR EVERYTHING

POOR POOR SERVICE / STINGY SMALL PORTIONS / RIP OFF. This place had always been pricey compared to their many competitive counterparts but after their recent renovations, they had significantly minimised their portion sizes, removed the authentic sides that is meant to come with particular dishes, slower than normal service despite minimal customers and jacked up their prices. We ordered the Shish plate, which use to come with different dips, cabbage, roast tomatoes and tabbouli - now comes with NO dips or salads unless ASKED and PAY EXTRA FOR. There was a couple of leafy greens stuck on the plate as garnish and that was it. We had to ask for table water several times. Any extra we asked for such as abit of lemon or onions on the side, we were told rudely that we have to pay extra.. Which it didn't bother us, but they just didn't have to repetitively remind us. My friend wanted to adjust her kebab slightly & the owner got frustrated and it was because she wanted an additional sauce which YES WE WILL PAY EXTRA FOR IT!! It's new nice decor which can significantly attract many new and old diners but I'm sure won't be retaining any loyalty for their rude and stingy service and food offerings.

Franks is a sizeable restaurant located on one of the main shopping streets of Fairfield, not far from the station. It sells whole chickens for $12.90 for takeaway - an absolute bargain - and we had the opportunity to meet Frank himself who talked us through the dishes that we were trying... all whilst being careful to not reveal careful family secret ingredients!
Bitemeshowme
The chicken is grilled to a crispy skin with the meat remaining tender and juicy. It has that charcoal/grilled aroma which is heavenly.
Irene
The charcoal chicken was more than great. It was super great. It was tender and juicy, and of course very fragrant. The glorious crispy skin had me doubting if it was really charcoal-grilled instead of fried. It was a bit on the salty side, but the tabouli counteracted the saltiness very nicely.

If you’re a fan of Lebanese chicken then it’s impossible not to compare this place to Granville’s El Jannah. I’m happy to report El Jannah fans won’t be disappointed with what Frank has to offer – which is firstly a proper restaurant with comfortable tables and chairs and a HUGE menu filled with more than just Lebanese chicken and toum. This place is the real deal offering everything Lebanese you can think of.
Inside is sparse and clean, not fancy but a little more upmarket than the kebab shop front window suggests

Usually when people refer to "their local" they mean a pub around the corner, within easy stumbling distance from their front door. Until recently, I didn't have one of my own. The pubs in my area are seedier than I'd like, so I have adopted Franks, the L

I was excited. I don't get to eat good Lebanese food very often and I had heard so much about Frank's, so I was excited.

Great lebanese restaurant!. Came here for dinner and had the quail, which was delicious. The service was good and the place had a good vibe. Prices are reasonable too.

In terms of atmosphere, ambience, and cleanliness it's probably one of the nicest Lebanese restaurants in Fairfield. The food is generally quite good, except when they are busy, it's a shame portions are so small. To say that this place has bad customer service is an overstatement, there is 'no' customer service and this is a let down. Rude, confused and fairly incompetent staff. However been coming here for many years and will continue to come here. The menu hasn't changed as long as I remember. I think I know it off by heart.

Food isnt too bad, horrible customer service tho. Always getting orders wrong. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Theres better places out there

I highly recommend this place. Excellent food!

Nice Lebanese food. The service is always atrocious due to lack of staff. Recommended if you're looking for a fast food Lebanese experience, just don't expect an authentic experience. Some of the best Lebanese dishes are missing from the menu.

Undiscovered Delight. Another unsung gem in Fairfield is Franks Lebanese Restaurant. The place looks just like any other take away, that is, until you try their chicken.

And they sell alot of chicken. Sitting in the restaurant last night (Sunday) there was a steady stream of people buying it for take away. Not only is the chicken well marinated, the skin (I know really bad for you) not too crispy and the flesh white and tender.

The other thing that makes the meal is the garlic paste on the side - it tastes and smells like it was made from 100% garlic.

The tabouli is the freshes and best tasting I've had anywhere.

We usually also get falafel and mixed grill plate, too.
