Review Il Bene Pizzeria - Fairy Meadow

OMFG I just had the pizza of my life, and this body has consumed ALOT of pizza 🍕 The crust was divine, perfectly wood fired with nice bubbly bits. Just enough toppings, but not excess like 'aussie' style pizza. Also the biggest calzone I've ever seen! I will be craving this pizza on the regular 😋

Last time we ate here the pizza was delicious and service was good. They were able to accomodate our food allergies and we enjoyed our meal. This time, I was told that they weren’t sure if the ingredients of the pizza topping I requested were safe and they might be able to get someone to check but they weren’t sure etc etc. The lady serving didn’t seem to confident either. All I was asking for was a simple pizza but this seemed too much trouble for them. I was going to order 5 pizzas in total, two of them with very simple toppings that were allergy friendly. I just walked out without ordering anything as I didn’t feel confident that the chef or the server took the allergies seriously or could be bothered. It’s a shame as my kids were really looking forward to having dinner there.

Really enjoyed the simple traditional food, simple but tasty. Great job.

Pizza is ok , But the pizza chefs were horrid. One of the chefs (the skinny younger one) kept touching his crouch and touching the pizza. The other chubby guy was touching everything bottles and other things and didnt wash hands. Their hygiene was questionable. Not going back there anytime soon. The staff also seem like everything is an effort for them, not willing to provide simple service.

Best pizza in town! We always order click and collect throughout covid, it is always great!

Fantastic traditional pizzas, so happy we took a chance and tried it. Thin and perfectly cooked base with loads of yummy toppings. They used fresh prawns and good quality meat. Staff are very friendly and accommodating

Pizza at Il Bene is by far the best in Wollongong, the service unfortunately brings it down for me personally. Maybe the staff had a bad day but it was very unprofessional. They made our lunch really unpleasant, cracking a fake smile wouldn't hurt.

Got takeaway last night. Pizzas good. The prawns were not, uncooked horrrid.....did not eat.
