Review Fawkner Kebab House - Fawkner

We ordered mix grill for $30. It comes with everything. Diced juicy chunky charcoal chicken and a bit tough lamb, dried chicken kebab meat, tasty Adana kebab, nicely moist and soft steamed rice, chewy Turkish bread, fresh salad and choice of sauce. We had Eggplant dipping sauce and beautiful chilli capcicum sauce.

This is one of the best Pakistani restaurants I have tried in Melbourne specially in Fawkner area. Other one just across the road is Peshwari.Try their tandoori pizza and tea with lacha paratha. Very good quality and taste. Will try their lunch or dinner menu soon. Very busy place so pre book your order. Rates are very reasonable plus great customer service. Lady on the counter was very helpful. Today I tried their dinner menu lahori Chany, chicken karahi, chicken byrani, chicken shesh kebab and adana kebab. Unfortunately they weren't serving chicken tikka boti or any other bbq item. Anyway the best item I will recommend from above is adana and shesh kebab. Karahi and Chaney were also delicious but will not recommend biryani at all. Overall very economical rates and great service.

Ordered a chicken shish kebab. Chicken was cooked to perfection. Very generous serve of meat and sauces of my choice. Would love to visit again. They also do biryani and pizzas.

Best puri and channay I've had so far in Melbourne. Very much reminiscent of a weekend breakfast/brunch one might get back in Pakistan. The omelette was also hit the mark. We also ordered a roghni naan and lacha paratha which were so excellent. Roghni naans are often quite doughy but this was just right - fluffy and not too chewy. Looking forward to trying some of the other items on their menu.

HSP was tried. Everything was good accept their sauces were put little amount. If I go there next time, I need to tell them to put more. Apart from that, good HSP. Place was, looks like an ordinary kebab shop.

My review is based on one visit and I only tried their pizza. They have quite a big menu with lots of options. I'm not sure what other items taste like but their pizza was okay. There are far better options for pizza in Melbourne.

Their breakfast is awesome. Love their lachha paratha and chanay. Haleem and lassi is good as well. Just that they need to work more on cleanliness of their space I guess. It was quite crowded on a weekend breakfast. Took some time for us to get our order served. Quantity served is satisfactory. In picture: Haleem, lachha paraatha, and sweet lassi!

*2nd review* Poor service and serving time also in takeaway. Firstly had placed order online to pickup by the time I reached out the order wasn't it processed from their end. Then was said will be a 20 min wait and was extended to 45 min. Worst part item missing. Called thrice lucky enough someone picked up the call and said will get back and till this time no callback but has charged for the item. Poorly understaffed. Food is fabulous but such attitude won't be helping in long when a closeby substitute or competitor comes in. Has some amazing Halwapuri on Weekends. Usually it's packed and overflowing. Wait time of 20-30 mins is normal. The service time also has the same lag during weekends.Kheema paratha and Nihari is also a must try. But the food is fantastic and pocket friendly. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I am really disappointed with the level of Biryani served. 2-3 days old and even tasteless. Look at the Color of the chicken. I will not recommend anyone to come here and have low quality Biryani.

It’s a good place for Pakistani food and desserts.i have been here a couple of times, sometimes the food meets my expectations other times it falls short, however i would recommend it if you want curry or kebabs or just a desi cuisine.

Snobbish owner. Dirty place. Extremely Smelly. Forgot my phone orders and have to wait again. Or maybe purposely did not do it. And they sell overcooked bread that looked and feel like cardboard. Go next door. There should be negative scale on the ratings.

I'v only tried their Breakfast menu which consisted of Halwa Puri (3) and channa
It was delicious and i am totally satisfied with their service, the quality of their food, the reasonable price as compared to rest of the restaurants. Good job guys. Hoping to come back another time.

Since the new ovners have taken over the food is GARBAGE.

I asked for a chicken kebab, they make me a lamb kebab, I ordered a fresh pide and supposedly heating it up means putting it in a press for 30 seconds... I gave this place 4 chances, which is 4 too many. And the staff are not very friendly,

Avoid..

Disappointed. We have been a fan of the Kebab House. Last nights food was very poor. Bread was like cardboard, lady said to put in microwave, was still terrible. Dips were like yogurt with a sprinkling of ingredients. The lamb didn't even get shaved off the spit, was out of a container behind the counter, tabouli was dry. I think the old owners did a better job.

Nice Kebabs. Owner is super friendly and the Kebabs are awesome.

To expensive and 2/10 food. Billy's Fish and Chips across the street tops it hands down.

Great customer service, delicious food. Well priced and you get quite a bit for not much $$$. Will definitely be going back.
