Review Sheoak Shack Gallery Cafe - Fingal Head

Cafe Lagarto
So pleased we stopped off here on our way to Broken Head. What a great, quirky cafe - lovely friendly customer service, water views (nice even with the rain) and an interesting eclectic art gallery to browse through. Food was delicious - I had the Vietnamese Chicken Salad - meat was tender and moist, salad crisp and fresh, and Vietnamese flavours were very well balanced. And I was served ‘proper’ tea - loose leaf tea in a china teapot, strainer provided, and a fine china cup & saucer. Thank you <3

Such a cute out of the way Cafe. Lovely staff, an interesting menu. Highly recommended. We had a Friday afternoon lunch after taking a lovely walk up to Fingal Head Light House.

What a find! Eclectic outdoor furniture with some big comfy couches to lounge back and have a coffee, or a beer. Super friendly staff, and food was great. Art gallery attached for a browse. And live music on the weekend. We'll be back.

The food was only OK and took a while to come out and didn't come out together. The gallery has some nice art and crafts. I liked the decorations in the dining area. I didn't appreciate the fighting, barking dogs, though nobody of the staff appeared bothered.

Lovely setting very relaxed. Good food. Will visit again. They have a band Saturday afternoons. A really nice, calm place.

The food was good but please have more understanding when someone wishes to know more about ingredients. This was not to judge or pry, it was literally to assess wether I could actually eat the food and not have a reaction later. Unfortunately I did keep regurgitating the pesto which is why I asked for the ingredients. The chairs and tables were a bit too dirty but the view and atmosphere is really nice. I would still go back.

Very dissappointed. The outlook of this place looked so appealing and in a great position on the Tweed River. I ordered Banana Pancakes with side of bacon and my husbands order was poached eggs with bacon. Pretty simple really. After paying and 10mins later was told sorry no pancakes. I changed my order to Eggs Benedict and was told it was $3.50 extra. I paid it. When everyone else at our table was finished their meal and their coffees, we were still waiting and waiting. Finally my husbands poached eggs came out, No bacon!! And my Eggs Benedict came out, no bacon, no ham, no salmon. And I was told you have to order that separate!!! I was so fed up by this stage. On what planet does Eggs Benedict not INCLUDE either bacon or ham or salmon.

The food was delicious..we ordered meat lover's pizza for lunch. We recommend it & ice coffee for a sunny day. We try their "tumeric latte" it's new for us it's good & tasty. The staff are very friendly too

A hidden little gem in the Tweed area. Spent a relaxing Saturday night, enjoyed lamb curry and tapas. Live music was a little disappointing.
