Every dish is a piece of art! Innovative, beautifully presented and extremely delicious. Very different to all the other wineries as the restaurant is very small, so feels quite cosy. Has a nice view over the hill. If the weather is good, you can try their outdoor benches for soaking in the atmosphere. Just beware that they have an unleashed dog outside - the only thing I dislike about this place. If you are not a fan of playing with random pets, like me, sitting outside might not be pleasant.
We did not know what to expect. Turned up to a small but cosy venue on the top of the hill. Lovely view. Staff were attentive and knowledgable. Recomended to us was the chefs menu. Three entree and three mains. All were large quantity’s and fantastic quality. Highly recommend the whole experience to anyone looking for a nice afternoon out.

I could’ve easily smashed down 20 zillion of the calamari tacos from Cup Estate as they were so delish. Corn tortilla filled with pickled cabbage and coriander, topped with crispy calamari and aioli. Service on point, nice and intimate space with great service. Ask for window seat for great views of vineyard.

One of the most delicious winery restaurants I’ve ever been to.
All the dishes we ordered were plated SO beautifully - they were like pieces of artwork. What blew me away was the wagyu dish- the beef was so tender and the emulsions were so flavourful too !!
I thought all the dishes and wine were very affordable and I’ll definitely be back

Amazing food, great view and wonderful service. My partner and I came here for my birthday celebration and honestly we had such an amazing time. We are planning to come back already. I can’t wait to try other dishes, I was very overwhelmed by the presentation and deliciousness.

It was attentive and efficient. I can't quite pinpoint why but I was expecting more from such a fine place. Wineries generally have very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable service. Here if felt attentive as they wanted to rush you out rather than genuinely appreciating your business.
I will say though, it was impressive they provided a complimentary round of drinks for the delay in mains arriving. To be honest we hadn't even noticed so it was a lovely gesture.

Everything was so delicious and full of flavour, texture, vibrant colour and beautifully plated.
The highlights were definitely the calamari taco. At first it looked like there wasn't enough mayo/sauce, but the pickled cabbage underneath was divine.
The pan-fried gnocchi was also a winner with that beautiful macadamia crumb and pea puree. Wagyu dish was also perfectly cooked, all so delicious!
DECOR & AMBIENCE: 3.5/5
It was a fairly small but pleasant venue. The best thing about the dining area was the wall-to-wall windows which gave a beautiful view outside to the vineyard. There were some outdoor options but again, quite limited with space. Decor inside was kept simplistic and bare so it really didn't create much of an ambience.
Noticeably strange that there were quite a few flies inside which we noticed several patrons, including us, were swatting away from their table.
KID FRIENDLY: Doable but not preferable. Although on a nice day there is some outdoor seating or grass area you can bring a picnic mat.
Lovely view and peaceful retreat on the Mornington peninsula. We chose a number of tapas items and I thoroughly enjoyed the mini tacos they were delicious! Look forward to coming back soon!

We had a little getaway from the city and stopped here for some nice food. We didnt book the table so we decided to sit outside on a chilly day. The food was nice and fresh. Wouldnt mind coming back !
Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Despite it being a hot day, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had the kingfish, prawns, scallops, wagyu, potatoes, and the donuts for dessert. Standouts were the scallops and prawns.
Loved it! Smaller winery than some others on the Mornington but the cosy restaurant was perfect to celebrate my mum’s special birthday. All dishes were delicious, wine exquisite and service on par.
Nice food (calamari tacos & scallops being the stand outs) & great seating outside overlooking the vines. Only tasted the rose which was reasonable.
Fancy a quick getaway from Melbourne’s hustle on repeat. Head down to the Peninsula Hot Springs, walk along Flinders back beach or even go hiking along the Dandenong Ranges. But stop by a winery or two including this one! Recommend their Pinot Noir.

What a cute spot to enjoy a delicious lunch that not only tastes good .... it looks great too! The Chefs Menu is perfect way to sample the delicious food made from bright, fresh ingredients. For desert the Sicilian donuts are simply wonderful !
My second time here and it did not disappoint. The food here is fresh, light and just devine! I love the relaxed vibe of this estate. Staff are friendly, always smiling and playing great tunes.

The Cups Estate building was surprisingly small but gave off a very cozy feel. The small space allowed for all the inside seatings to have a nice view of the vineyard as the backdrop for the table.
Customer service was excellent as our waitress was very friendly and helpful with menu suggestions.
We ordered the Prosciutto di San Daniele, Chicken Pate, Gnocchi and the Rare Wagyu Beef. For desserts we shared the Sfinci, sicilian donuts, and the Yuzu Mousse. The foods and desserts were all delicious and rich in flavours; the only downside would be that the portion sizes were quite small.
We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir as recommended by the waitress. For the bottle it was definitely at a reasonable price. And the wine had a very sweet aroma and went down very smoothly.
Hands down one of the best little winery restaurants out there!!

Nice cute resto with stunning view overlooking vineyard. It was Saturday afternoon and we came for wine tasting and some light lunch on the way to Mornington Peninsula hot spring. It was full packed and we couldn't get any table at first, but the gentleman was nice and got us table outside on the barrel. We ordered rose and reserved pinot noir each after wine tasting, 6 off oysters, meat platters and focacia with truffle butter. The oyster with wasabi and fish roe were delicious, fresh with kick of wasabi n zinc of lemon. Truffle butter that came with focacia is too salty but nice strong truffle smell, love it. The meat platters also nice. Their pinot noir reserve is top noted. Happy with the experience and will be back next time for 6 courses chef recommendation menu.

Really enjoyed this winery. Its less than 5 min drive from Rye holiday house so was a good find! The indoor seating/tasting area is quite small but quaint. We just rocked up and while all the tables inside and out were booked, they have picnic blankets to sit outside the restaurant and overlook the vineyard. Great view! Great way to enjoy a beautiful day. Grabbed a bottle of Pinot Gris after the tasting and ordered the cheese and meat boards. Very very nice. Can even stroll the vineyards which a lot of wineries dont allow. Will have to go back to try some more food and wine of course. The Pinot Noirs were nice too
We were silly and didn't make a booking for lunch at Cups Estate but it still worked out quite nicely as they provide picnic rugs so we were able to sit outside with a view of the winery! We shared a bottle of the Pinot Gris while grazing on both the cheese and charcuterie boards. It was all delicious and presented beautifully!

After a lovely day of horse riding I decided to have a late lunch at Cups Estate. Making a booking here is advisable since this is a very popular venue! I had booked on Zomato for 2:45pm and hadn't expected it to be so busy. I assumed if we were here 15 minutes early we could still get our table but no, it was too busy. I do like that they offer wine tastings while you wait for a table. I couldn't take them up on that offer since I was driving. Unfortunately if you book a table you might not get it on time since the venue is dependent on the other customers leaving their table on time. If they are running late then this means it might take longer. I think we had to wait an extra ten to 15 minutes for our table. The staff apologised though so it was fine although it wasn't their fault.
The restaurant has tapas dishes. We decided not to share haha! The presentation of each dish was amazing! The wagyu, the tacos and the gnocchi was enjoyed by my friends.
I ordered the cheese platter since I felt like cheese!! I didn't really like the Brie that was on my cheese board. Wasn't nice at all unlike other Bries I've tried. The blue cheese and the hard cheese were really good!
Oh, and the views here are amazing as well!

This was our first visit to the Cups Estate. We started it off with a wine tasting which was a quick affair, with the Pinot Gris impressing us enough for us order a glass for lunch. We were seated quickly, having booked previously, but let me say that this was probably one of the most impressive lunches I’ve been to in Melbourne…ever.
Our first course was a trio of dishes: pan seared scallops, the roasted and pickled beets, and the calamari tacos. The sweet-savoury combination of the beets went so well with the seafood, and presentation made this not just a feast for our taste-buds but also for our eyes. The second course was composed of heavier fare; this time it was the pork sliders, the pickled king fish, and the duck. The sliders didn’t impress us as much as we've had similar in Melbourne, but the other two were clever plays on flavour. The kingfish was heavy from the pickling process, rounded out by the serve of crème fraiche. The pumpkin puree was the star of the duck dish, even more impressive than the meat on the plate, which turned out to be tougher than expected. The Sicilian donuts were to-die for and we scarfed them down, reluctant to move them around a perfectly presented plate –the ice cream was delicious! The panna cotta was probably a terrible way to end our lunch; the sourness of different elements did not go well with a coffee-flavoured base but wow, did it look pretty regardless.
The dishes came out quickly and there was a bit of a rest between the two courses, as well as dessert. The staff were attentive to empty dishes and answered all our questions without judgment. This was an intimate setting, with about 7-8 tables in all. Though it could get quite noisy in the middle of the lunch rush, the restaurant offered great, panoramic view of the vineyards.
This was probably the best place for a special anniversary lunch and I would recommend the experience to anyone visiting Melbourne. Book a table for winter, though, as indoor seating is essential when the weather isn’t great.
The wine was lovely and the food was amazing! We called 10 minutes ahead after spending a relaxing day at the springs and we were pleasantly surprised. Some of the nicest food we've had in a while and reasonably priced for the quality.

Friends of ours had visited this winery restaurant before and knew we would be chancing it but decided to see if we could get a table a little later in the day. Inside was a buzz because of several large groups and it being a long weekend. Unfortunately the food had stopped as they were less than an hour from closing but we were told we were welcome to grab a class and enjoy the last of the winter rays outside while they rapped up inside. Forgiving the background noise from inside it was a calm and peaceful place to indulge in a glass of wine with friends and look out over the vineyards. Its views like these that could make one think perhaps it's the country life for me. The wine itself from The Cup Estate is incredibly drinkable. We enjoyed a bottle of their Pinot Gris. Delicious.
A visit to cups estate is like stepping into heaven. It really is beyond beautiful- both views and food alike. The gorgeous little restaurant serves up some of the most exquisite food and tasty wine. We highly recommend the chefs menu which for four people, gave us 9 delicious dishes. We were extremely full and for 55$ a head with such fresh produce and creative dishes it really seems worthwhile. They also adapt the menu so easily to vegetarian which is much appreciated. The heirloom tomato bruschetta, ricotta gnocchi and halloumi sliders were probably our top 3 favourites, though we really did adore all dishes. The wine at cups is delicious- the Pinot Grigio and Shiraz are our favourites. A visit to cups estate when next in the region is a must- with their exquisite wine, views and food, you will not leave disappointed!!
We had the 'cups set menu' as a large group, calamari tacos, duck and pork sliders where amazing.
However, several of our corn cobs were rotten to the core. The waitress took them to show chef (in fairness you probably couldn't tell on the outside but cutting off the corn to eat exposed the black. The disappointing part was the owner saying 'no! They are fresh in!' Ok you have just gotten them in but we could not eat it as it was .... rotten!

My second visit to Cups and I couldn't love it more! The service is absolutely wonderful! Very friendly and helpful staff make the experience relaxing and enjoyable.
We were lucky enough to get a table inside without making a booking.
Also we were told that anyone dining at the restaurant could have a complimentary wine tasting which was a nice surprise! We bought a bottle of the Pinot Gris and the Pinot Noir, both light and delicious wines, which we could open with our meal and then take the remainder home.
For food we ordered the Calamari Taco with guindilla, pickled red cabbage, coriander and black sesame, the Nduja (spicy calabrian salami spread) with toasted ciabatta and the Gnocchi (ricotta gnocchi, heirloom carrots, macadamia and black garlic). Unfortunately, my phone died before I could take more photos of the food.
The Nduja was a bit sour for my taste but the bread was buttery, warm and delicious.
It was my second time having the tacos and they were delicious yet again, the perfect balance of textures and flavours.
The gnocchi was an absolute stand out! It was plated beautifully with a very modern look and the taste was incredible! We savoured it as long as possible! Everything on the plate complimented each other perfectly and it was a delight to eat!
After lunch we could even take our glasses of wine outside and walk around the vineyard.
Absolutely fantastic service, venue and restaurant!

Every mouthful left you moaning like someone who’s never eaten food before in their life.
My husband and I had $60 pp chefs menu, best way to do it! The calamari taco 10/10 the pork bun 10/10 the scallops 10/10, the pork main 10/10 the eye fillet 10/10 the pumpkin 9/10 and only improvement could be that pumpkin warm not cold as flavours were perfect!
Service brilliant and the Shiraz or Syreh ? 10/10!!

Glad we got here earlier than we'd planned on this Raster Monday (we had booked), as it was so busy (a very good sign).
Ordered the Chef's Menu ($55 per person) plus a bottle of their lovely dry rose. So impressed with every course (there were 6) though the duck whilst tasty was a wee bit too pink & therefore a little tough. The calamari tacos & pork belly sliders were standout. Other meals were corn, scallops, kingfish ceviche (spicy!), beetroot & goats cheese salad & pulled pork croquettes.

Fabulous winery down Mornington peninsula way. Such a modern and well executed tapas style menu. We made a lunch booking for Easter Sunday which ended up being absolutely packed. We ordered a selection of dishes including the pork and leek croquettes, the wagyu bresaola with radish and horseradish cream, the calamari tacos, the scallops and the crab rillettes. Everything was delicious but the scallops were especially phenomenal as were the croquettes. Such a serene and relaxed environment with beautiful view. The only unfortunate thing about sitting outside was the plague of flies.
We have taken friends here when they have been visiting & have always enjoyed the food & the wine. Wine tasting available at the bar. Recommend you book as it gets busy & is only open for lunch. Best restaurant in the area.

Lovely estate, delicious food and wine. Had the 'chef's menu' with entrees and main courses for $55 pp. Really nice food, but small serves. Unless you are a very light eater, you would probably not be full from the selection of food offered. The calamari tacos are a stand out.
Tapas is a great option at a winery and was very impressed with some of the dishes on this menu including the calamari tacos and deconstructed paella. Yum! The simple menu items like wedges were also really good. Thoroughly enjoyed it all.

Went here for lunch last weekend before heading to the Springs. They had a good Bathe and Dine package which we found to be a good deal. Beautiful views overlooking the Vineyard. We were an hour early for our 12.45pm booking and the host very politely allowed us to sit at the table. He was also very obliging when we asked for a change of tables for a better view. We ordered the lamb shanks, beetroot salad and oyster mushrooms. They were delicious except for the mushrooms which were completely bland - we didn't have more than a bite each. Would definitely visit again to try their wines - I was too hungover this time. :)
Tried some of the wines - devine - then sat outside and had a coffee overlooking the olive groves - beautiful.

The Cups Estate is a beautiful vineyard, restaurant and cellar door! The tapas style menu has been well designed, with dishes that are vibrant, full of colour and flavour. Friendly and knowledgeable staff facilitated a truely memorable dining experience. Must haves are the calamari tacos and beetroot salad!!!
What a beautiful view to go with a delicious lunch! Our favs have got to be the new take on paella and the lamb ribs! Both very flavourful and perfectly cooked. The passion fruit panna cotta was fresh and not heavy. The profiteroles were big and light. Only mark down would be glassware. I was served my glass on wine in their small tasting glasses. I expected a proper high stemware from a winery and proper restaurant. Couldn't even really swirl my wine which should be part of the whole experience. Overall, great place to stop by for tasting and lunch before hitting up the hot springs next door.

One of the areas nicest winery's! Smaller and a bit more intimate. Great setting, beautiful food and always good service. Sitting outside on a nice day there is a beautiful view. Only complaint would be that although it is a winery, not having and beer on the menu is not great.

I instantly fell in-love with this little hidden gem near the Hot Springs! This restaurant is a unique twist on your winery vibe with a more modern atmosphere and oh boy is it beautiful.
My boyfriend decided to take me here on my Birthday after receiving positive recommendations from his mum, Kate and it was the perfect birthday present.
We began the day by ordering two share plates of the wagyu dried meat and the pork sliders. The blonde girl who served us was very friendly and warm. She was approachable and always smiling - which made the whole experience a lot better!
While we waited for our tapas, we tried the complementary wine tasting. I fell in love with all of the wines - it was difficult to select one for the bottle! We both eventually decided to go with the Pinot Noir which was absolutely divine.
The food then came out. The slider was full of texture and flavours: it was crispy and melted in your mouth. And the wagyu was very unusual for us but very enjoyable and complimented the wine well!
After trying these two delicious dishes and seeing all the other dishes others were ordering, we had to order more. We then ordered the corn and the ribs. Oh my god, it was incredible!
I highly recommend for a special occasion/girls day! Everything here is perfect from food, wine, interior and staff!

Service was great, staff were really friendly and view was beautiful. Food was amazing perfect portion size for lunch and the food and wine complemented each other so well. Definitely recommend it and we'll definitely be coming back.
Fantastic food with a wonderful view. Could not pick a favourite savoury as they were all amazing. We had 3 kids there under 3 who were generally well behaved apart from some noise from the 7 month old however we were treated wonderfully without being rushed.

Amazing experience. Was just looking for a bite to eat after a bush walk at cape shank and stumbled across this beauty. Started with some wine tasting and ended up eating and drinking the whole menu. Considering we tried everything you expect a few Misses. However this was hit after hit. Sitting outside in the sun having a ball. As I said an Amazing Experience. Do it.
Incredible food with an incredible view. We went on a cold day so didn't get to sit outside but the winery was still beautiful from inside. The tapas were delicious, we had the cheese platter, aranchini balls, prawns and soft shell crab burgers. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for something a little different to the average winery then it's worth checking out The Cups Estate down in the Mornington Peninsula. The food is European inspired tapas and shared style plates.
The restaurant itself is fairly small so I recommend booking in advance. It is set in a round building with tall glass windows and the dining tables are scattered right around the circular building, giving you views of the lovely estate all around. Right in the centre of the restaurant you can do some wine tasting before choosing the bottle of wine to have with your lunch.
We ordered the Charcuterie Board to start off with which included a selection of cured meats, terrine, pate, chicken rillette, pickles, olives, relish and bread. It was a great board and had good selection of cured meats.
We also ordered the seared yellow fin tuna with remoulade, avocado and sumac,the spicy chicken ribs and the beef carpaccio which I absolutely loved. The beef was super soft and the flavour was enhanced with the truffle oil and mustard aoili. The pork belly sliders were also very nice and had the crispy skin you expect from the pork belly with the brioche bun.
One of my favourite dishes however was the scallops which came with bits of blood sausages and apple in this lovely creamy buttery sauce. All the flavours went so well together. The spanish prawns were also a highlight and they came in a garlic, chilli and paprika sauce. We kept dipping the leftover bread in the sauce because it was so good.
Being at a winery we of course had to get a cheese board too so we ended up ordering all three cheeses on the menu: a blue, a brie and a semi-hard cheese with quince paste and fruit. The blue cheese which was from France was exceptional. Our friends also ordered the sicilian donuts which came with vanilla icecream and strawberries.
We enjoyed all of this food with a bottle of their 2013 Pinot Noir and their 2011 Syrah, both really good wines. Their 2012 sparkling Shiraz was also very nice and great on a warm day.
Overall their service was also quite good, the food came out fairly quickly and they were very accommodating. Worth checking out!

A Hidden gem of peninsula.
Nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. The service was great and very attentive. We enjoyed the charcuterie board and ordered the beetroot salad which was extremely tasty. I was expecting a wider selection of wine but was only shown a handful amount. However, my overall experience was great, I will definitely come back again.

So enjoying our meals at an outdoor table in a lovely setting on a warm Sunday afternoon after Horseback Winery Tour and before Mineral Pools. Each and every dish (we shared 4) is just Delish.
Circular restaurant perched on the hill amongst olive trees overlooking the vineyard. Such an unexpected find! The restaurant is tiny and very simple, however it has a very strong following with an excellent reputation so book in advance. Walk ups are not catered for due to the size and excellent service.
Tapas style food, however the antipasto platter is mouth watering along with the wine. Delicious!!!

The Cups Estate in Fingal is one of the lesser-known yet amazing wineries of the Mornington Peninsula, VIC. Just a two minute drive from the Peninsula Hot Springs and a seven minute drive to the foreshore of Rye, this small olive grove and winery is a spectacular addition to any day out. The cellar door is open for wine tasting daily, as well as an exclusive dining experience for lunch between Thursday-Sunday overlooking the olive groves and grape vines.*

Good, but brunette manager needs to go.. The staff were absolutely wonderful we went for lunch on Saturday 14 March 2015, they were very attentive and polite, however we were all disgusted when we were invited inside because of the wind picking up by a waitress, and the manager came out and went off her tree at the waitress for inviting us inside. We were all very disappointed, it really changed the tune of the afternoon, we all apologized to the waitress and complained to the supervisor about the manager.
It was a wonderful afternoon spoiled by her.

A gem on the Peninsula!. This was one of the best restaurants I've been to in ages. The well priced tapas style food was delicious and perfect to eat with a group of 4, whilst looking over the undulating hills and olive trees toward to golf course. The service was impeccable, even with it being a very busy day. Make sure you make a booking and choose outside if the day is nice (note it can get a bit windy and cool when the sun goes away). We'll be back!!

Wow! Cups has to be some of the best food on the peninsula. The Chefs menu here is perfectly balanced, portioned and timed. Every single dish uses beautiful produce that perfectly balanced every flavour on the plate. Portions are great too that won't have you leaving hungry, but you'll definitely be wanting more. The staff here are fantastic! Friendly, know their stuff, very attentive and fun. The venue itself is small and intimate and has great views. Inside and outside dining available and the wines are decent too. This is a must try if in the area for the food.
Beautiful food, beautiful view and great wine! Second visit and it didn't disappoint. We had two vegetarian guests and the chefs had no trouble adjusting the menu accordingly! Only downfall is they do not pick up the phone or respond to emails promptly, very hard to get in touch.
Keep an eye out for the owner's dog, she steals the show! Final note..bring back the sparkling shiraz!!!
We had the most wonderful and delicious lunch at the cups estate today. Exceptional service and beautiful food. The chef menu is perfectly balanced and wines are delightful. Cannot recommend highly enough and will be making this a must visit whenever we are at the peninsula

The Cups Estate is a multi-award winning, boutique 30-acre vineyard, olive grove and cellar door situated in Fingal on the Mornington Peninsula. The name comes from ‘the cups', the area known for its picturesque and undulating sand dunes.
The Restaurant is open for lunch Friday-Sunday, offering a delicious sharing menu inspired by the family's Sicilian heritage and compliments their wines. I started with a glass of their beautiful Pinot Rose. 🍷
The Calamari Taco was actually up there with one of the best tacos I’ve ever had and come to think of it I’ve never had one before! The Caprese Salad and Kingfish dishes were both very refreshing. 🌮
Our favourite dish from the menu was the Nduja Crusted Hapuka Fillet which was insane, I’m still drooling over it. A close runner up were the Sicilian Doughnuts paired with White Choc Ganache, Vanilla Icecream and Strawberries. 🍓
The weather was perfect the day we visited so we chose to dine on the outdoor tables overlooking the vineyard. I think it needed some music to cut the silence but it was also quite serene. Unsure if it is a common occurrence but all of the tables spent the entire seating swatting away insects so if this bothers you definitely sit inside. You will also most likely meet Izzy, the estate dog who will ask you to throw her ball for her. 🐕
It was a stunning meal, which starts at $75pp averages out to around $20 a dish. I believe it is meant to be a light lunch, the dishes were quite small to share so I recommend ordering a few of their additional courses as we did (*).
Highly reccomend The Cups Estate. It's a beautiful spot and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The set menu was delicious and great value compared to other wineries on the peninsula.
Just had the most delicious lunch at the cups estate. Hats off to the chef’s! Served by the wonderful waiter Andy. I highly recommend coming to the cups if you like high quality food and service. I will be sure to be back soon.

The food was delicate, tasty and visually beautiful.
It’s a very small venue. 3 or 4 tables inside all very close together. Felt like we were having a conversation together.
Would go back for the food.
Lovely little restaurant with amazing food and service! It was too cold and windy outside the day we went but we'll be back on a nice day.
