There are more Chinese restaurants opening up in the Eastern suburbs. Urban Duck has opened up amongst a group of eateries on Glynburn Road. The restaurant itself sits around 50 people with a private function room at the back. Modern design with dimmed lights attracted us for a visit. They also have outdoor seating under umbrellas.

My friend and I visited here last night, for the 1st time.The waitress was friendly and polite. Being that it was a Tuesday night and not quite 6pm, we were the only customers in there. (several other people came later).The restaurant itself has a nice ambience to it - Nice music playing in the background, that wasn't too loud. Everything looks clean and new - I believe it has only been open for about a year. Situated in a group of shops on Glynburn Road, it has convenient parking as well.I chose the Sizzling Steak in a Creamy Pepper Sauce and my friend had the Honey Chicken. We shared a large serve of fried rice between us. For drinks, I had a glass of pink Moscato and my friend had a LL and bitters. The total bill was $67.00.Everything was delicious. The steak was very tender, the rice was beautiful and the Honey Chicken, spot on!The only negative, was that I thought it was a bit more pricey than other Asian restaurants that we had been too. Only by a few dollars mind you and because it was all so delicious, it was worth paying the extra.We will definitely be returning - Recommend.UPDATE: 18th Jan 2017 ... have been here several times over the past year - the latest date was last night - and I'm pleased to say, the food quality is still very good. We come here every couple of months now, alternating it with an Italian restaurant, for our 4 weekly get together. Yummo!
ADDIT - Sorry to say but as of last month (June 2017), this restaurant is closed permanently. Been taken over by new owners with a Korean theme.

Fantastic food, great service, decent prices – what more could you ask for?. My husband and I had dinner at Urban Duck with a group of four friends last night and I have to say, the restaurant has recently undertaken an internal makeover compared to how it looked before. The ambiance in the restaurant was modern and relaxed. We were thoroughly impressed by the great customer service and the amazing food. We tried their signature dish, Urban Duck and it was unlike anything I've ever had before, with a rich sauce that didn’t ruin the duck flavor. The manager also recommended the Orange Contrieu Duck. Two flavors I have not come across together before – and it was delicious! If the dinner was anything to go by, I will definitely be going back to Urban Duck! I am particularly interested in trying out their lunch menu as I was able to have a quick read of their lunch specials starting from only $10 a meal! Urban Duck is a great addition to the flourishing of different restaurants we have in the area!
