This is definitely a hidden gem! I finally tried this place after reading the review and all I have to say is I can't wait to order the sweet & spicy Korean fried chicken here again (wish they were actually spicy though :P). I probably wouldn't order the rice cakes again and I love how they give you complementary side dishes (radishes & kimchi). Servings are generous too! If you love Korean fried chicken, give this place a go!
Awesome fried chicken...Had it many times with my friends. Great value with the large serve of food. Although we need to wait for a while after ordering, definitely worth waiting!
Love the korean fried chicken selections! Good price too , we ordered jumbo set which includes three flavours, best kfc we've had in adelaide, will definitely come back again
Having grown up in Korea, I love my fried chicken. I love KFC (aka korean fried chicken) from chicken coop. Even my australian friends approve :p i recommend the soy sauce chicken, although you can do half and half and get 2 different flavours (eg sweet chilli, soy or original).
I love having KFC from Chicken Coop even though I started gain my weight T T I think the price is affordable, and the taste of fried chicken is better than some other Korean restaurants nearby.
I think there should be some sort of qualification, similar to a barista when it comes to the use of a deep fryer. You wouldn't think it, but given the same source materials - oil, frozen chips, battered chicken, so on - you can get wildly different results. For some places, being able to deliver a crispy chip seems like too much to ask. Not at Chicken Coop though! I can't yet vouch for their other foods, but their chips and Korean fried chicken are f#€
My go-to place for Korean fried chicken! I normally order the family pack which has sweet, spicy and soy. SO GOOD. And don't forget to try their ddukbokgi!
If you haven’t had Korean-style fried chicken, you are missing out big time. Koreans are big on friend chicken and they do them well.
This place is where I goto when I have Korean-style fried chicken cravings, and I normally order them for a takeaway.
Likes: You can order half-half (sweet and spicy and soy-sauce based). My recommendation would be soy-sauce based fried chicken. I’m not even a big fan of chicken but I love them.
Dislikes: This isn’t a restaurant where you can dine in.
food 4/5 * service 4/5 * ambience 1/5
I'm a regular customer there. I really like their crispy and well flavoured chips from the fish packs, as well as their fried chicken. The bbq chicken on the other hand are quite average imo. Overall, an above average BBQ chicken/fish&chips fast food chain.
I really really like the Korean fried chicken here. It taste so so so good. Every time I buy them, it is so yummy. Never once disappointed. Love the rice cake too. I would love to try their soup dishes but always drawn to their fried chicken. It is a must try place!!! Better for takeaway than dining in. Not much sitting area.
Some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Very delicious and amazing crunch on the outside while still being tender and juicy on the inside. I got the medium sized boneless fried chicken and it was enough for both me and my partner. My new go to fried chicken spot from now on
Surprisingly delicious, one of the most decent fried chicken I’ve ever tasted. They aren’t fancy but their quality is amazing.
Excellent service, excellent price, excellent food! Price is very good too. Definitely be back!
Nice crunchy chicken wings but it’s not cheap. About $1 per piece
Love this chicken. Every thing is cooked to order and they are popular so expect a 15-20 minute wait. The cold veg noodles salad is delicious too.
Very delicious chicken. Ordered the garlic and spicy fried chicken. The spicy chicken was more on the mild side in terms of spiciness.
I think this is the most delicious Korean fried chicken in Adelaide! The soy sauce boneless fried chicken is so good!
Had the garlic soy it was awesome. Tried to get pics of the menu too.
