Review Naked In The Sky - Fitzroy

Muggle Chef
The ravioli was amazing! Deep flavour, balanced, not too heavy, interesting, textural.. The picture doesn’t do it justice. Loved it! :) Bar man was lovely and helpful too, gave a tasting of a beer to help my dad chose his pint. Thank you.

Quality and quantity isn’t sufficient to justify the price. Ordered multiple items from the menu, chips were the best thing there and they were just okay. Skip the calimari and roast veg in dashi, it’s just a few (like 8 or 9) chunks of veg floating in a half full bowl of broth. Lovely staff and great view, good spot for a beer.

The best spot to have a drink and admire the view over Melbourne Skyline. The venue is beautiful and has a lot of character, staff is friendly and polite, furthermore, prices are not crazy high, I think everyone should come up at least once while in Melbourne!

Amazing rooftop with killer views of the city and surrounding ‘hoods. Naked for Satan beers and ciders were delicious and refreshing in the sun. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Tons of gluten-free options and clearly noted on allergen menu available at the bar. Even the soft, yummy bread that came with the meatballs was gluten free!

Came here in Sunday night, it was quiet to begin with, and soon the restaurant filled up quickly. It's $11 all dishes, so we ordered Pork Belly, Baked Camembert, and and grilled 200g Porterhouse with Pickled shallots, Piquillo peppers, capers and basil emulsion. The normal prices, do look very overpriced, and we're glad we went on that Sunday. There is seating outside, which has a wonderful view into the city. It's a romantic type setting, with nice ambience. They also do $11 lunches on Monday to Friday.

Many delicious generously portioned tapas to chose from. The scallops were a stand out. The sauce was so delicious. The flank steak was also perfectly cooked. Service was friendly and prompt.

Awesome place to get some authentic Spanish tapas style food. It's generally meant for sharing which is just how to do it. The dishes are excellent from the Crocketts over the grain salad up to the pasta. Definitely go for some cocktails as well or just greatly rounds up a perfect dinner.

One of the best places to enjoy small dishes of amazing food, brilliant cocktails and fantastic customer service from the staff. Plus the amazing views over Melbourne. This place impresses everytime.

Dining with a view!

Our favourite spot on a sunday evening has got to be naked in the sky where they have $11 tapas! Its the perfect environment with a group of friends sipping wine and enjoying their tapas.

They do have quite a good variety on the menu and I must say those tapas are amazing! A few favourites are the baked brie cheese with truffle mushrooms, the steak, baked scallops and fresh oysters.

Its good to go in a group so you get to order more and try out a variety of their dishes available. There is a nice seating area outside on the rooftop which is perfect on a warm sunny day

Views, beers and vibe = what more do you want. Naked in the sky is our kind of place. Fun and chilled.

First visit 2 months ago was fantastic - would have scored 5/5. Tonight not quite the same experience. Empanadas, Croquettes and special of calamari was delicious. Were informed we had to place last order order for food before kitchen closed (at 9.15 - by the tine we waited for the lift we were seated at 8.25). Pork cheeks were hardly reheated (cold in the middle and covered in tepid fat). Fat not rendered. Terrible (especially when the beef cheeks we had previously were divine). The sweet potato serve was tasty but such a small serve - a little mean. So what started promisingly ended on a meh. Service friendly but basic. Please sort out those pork cheeks - clearly kitchen closing - but no excuse for fatty, partially reheated food. It should have been the best dish if the night but it was the worst.

Start with a drink and some pintxos downstairs before jumping into a lift up rooftop for a tapas fiesta.

The scallops were a stand out. The sauce was so delicious. The flank steak was also perfectly cooked.
Service was friendly and prompt.

I've been here for many a lunch due to their amazing tapas menu and the city views. All the dishes are top quality with plenty of options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The bread and oil they serve on the tables is yum, but be careful not to fill up on this too much. Some favourite dishes include the fish of the day, the pumpkin ravioli, baked truffle brie, the scallop, lamb and the octopus.Hard to go wrong really

Always one of my favourite place in Fitzroy. Love the atmosphere, decoration, music, service and food. I always came around 1pm and ordered lot of the tapas with wine chilling with friends. Their roasted cheese with turtle oil and nuts, lamp ribs, fried okra are my favourite dishes. Just can’t get enough of their tapas.

I was blown away my the chilled-out friendliness and courtesy expressed by the bar-staff and the restaurant servers. Food, drink, decor and view here are phenomenal but it is the staff and their personalities that truly make this place unforgettable. Charles in restaurant front-of-house is a Fitzroy institution! Loved every minute spent her on our recent visit.

Amazing views from Melbourne and chilled atmosphere at the rooftop, the orders are done at the bar and the starters were delicious. Good to catch up with some friends or relax with your partner.

There’s a bit of confusion for us in coming to this restaurant. To enjoy the outdoor rooftop (esp during good weather), there’s no reservations and it’s a first come first serve basis. We made a dinner reservation for the indoor rooftop restaurant. We came a little earlier and enjoyed sangria at happy hour while watching rooftop views. In terms of the food - the croquette and beetroot tarts were clear stand outs. The cheese and almond combination was just superb. I thought the beetroot and sesame seed combo was very smart and it all came together.

As for the mains, the scallop and fried fish were delicious. The fish was quite simple but I wish the accompanying sauce was more interesting. All in all we had a good meal till the end when they were rushing us with the receipt (even though the meal was till 8pm and it was only 715pm)

bit salty chicken. Friendly staff and ambition is good to drink. Warm roof top and thanks for separating smoke zone. Especially i like this place when sunset and raining.

Great afternoon spent at the roof top, fresh tapas style food paired up with a good selection of beverages, stunning views of Melbourne to top it of.
Lina's Music House
This is my go to roof top bar in Fitzroy. I've been here a number of times with friends who are visiting Melbourne.

The night views are amazing. Relaxing and friendly atmosphere.

A large variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to choose from.

Grilled Octopus with Potato Puree
Absolutely delicious, who knew grilled octopus and potato puree would be the best combination! Such a simple dish with simple ingredients. The potato puree tasted so creamy and smooth it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my life, and the grilled octopus was so tender and flavourful. Coming back for this dish very soon!

Baked Camembert
I love Camembert cheese, this was such a great dish to share OR have for yourself. The truffle paste brought the flavor to another level, so fragrant and delicious. Again. Very simple, crunchy bread = amazing dish.
Fatcat
Gorgeous venue; perfect for a balmy night out. Food is also amazing - I'd highly recommend the octopus and ravioli. They also had some pretty amazing beers and ciders on tap AND $6 vodka infusions!! (can't go wrong)

Went here for first stop bar hopping after dinner. Venue and view are adorable but service is quite slow compared to the not so busy night when we were there not even 10 PM.
Affogato Addiction
Rooftop, seems to only be accessible by lift.
Indoor dining available but if you get there early or are lucky then nicer to score a table on the terrace as that's the best way to enjoy the views

Nice selection of tapas style dining.
Good selection of beers on tap.
They don't take reservation on sat night, my friends and I arrived early enough (~6pm) to skip the wait and get the table right away, but the whole place was quickly filled up and went bustling both indoor and outdoor. Indoor is a regular dining area with menu and waiters serving the tables, while outdoor is a casual area which people order and pay at the bar and help themselves and chill at the balcony. Service is fine and the price is reasonable. The baked camembert was superb, they put truffle paste in the camembert, the smell was irresistibly drooling and the truffle flavor was strong. I think no one can say no to this! The grilled porterhouse was nicely cooked to medium rare, meat was tender and juicy...thumbs up!

So it's Sunday night, you're feeling hungry but have spent a bit too much money over the weekend. What do you do? Head to Naked in the sky - $9 for any and every dish! How great is that? We went to the inside - they don't take reservations but of course being Naked for Satan there are plenty of drinks to be had and plenty of views to be looked at. On this particular Sunday at 8pm we didn't actually have to wait for a table at all! Winning all around.

We ordered 4 dishes. Who could pass up the oyster special? Delicious. To help the sin of gluttony we had some green stuff - Golden beetroots and roast Jerusalem artichokes. Both were just divine. Then two different meats; confit duck leg (amazingly tasty wonderfully contrasted with hazelnuts) and beef cheek (fall of the bone beautiful).

Wasn't planning on dessert but the Oreo trifle was just too tempting. It was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looks!

The service was great and quick. Only complaint is that it is a little dark (if you prefer a bit of light) but as the longer days come it'll just be amazing. Definitely a repeat visit.
Theodora Lin
The environment is really amazing. When you walk in, the decoration in the restaurant and the lights surprise you.
The food is really nice. Recommend to order the small plates to share rather than the big dishes, so you can try the different food. Highly recommend the scallops and the beef skewers because the cheese in the scallops taste really good and matches with the scallops and the beef skewers is quiet tender and soft. We ordered 6 plates to share for three person but think 5 plates will be enough.
Foodie-is-me
Look - your system is an absolute joke. No bookings and no set time restrictions on tables. Is it worth the 2 hr wait even when we got here at 6pm absolutely not. You can't pay me to eat here or walk into this establishment again. Don't care what your reviews say but not worth it.

Love Naked in the Sky views are absolutely amazing..
Have been here a few times for drinks & nibbles it is such a fun atmosphere.
Food was all super tasty & love the tapas options so you can get smalls to share.
Worth the visit & somewhere i always recommend visitors to Melbourne check out.
Followthefoodmelbourne
This Fitzroy institution is definitely a must-visit spot for whenever I hit up Brunswick street.
While Melbourne has a lot of rooftop bars, this is definitely one of my favourites. The views are beautiful and I love all their infused vodkas and tapas options.
Eating Away Melbourne
Naked in the sky has the best rooftop view looking over the city. It can be a bit cold in winter days so we chose to sit inside. The atmosphere is very chilled and perfect for friends catch up. Food and drinks were both lovely. Price is a bit on the high end but if you want your bill to be cheaper you can definitely go downstairs for the tapas. Great concept!
Brungiel
The best. Go during the week when it is less busy to really enjoy the spectacular views. Also, the “happy hour” on food is great value, with everything only $9.
Anguli Mala
Wonderful rooftop is an understatement!!! This place is what makes Melbourne gain that reputation of artistic, no-bling, unpretentious capital when comes to bars, music and culture. Awesome selection of tap beer, cocktails and tapas; the service is one of the best you’ll get in the town (so fast, prompt and friendly). Yes it is 10-20% dearer than other bars but there are enough things this place offers that’ll easily offset that extra “burden“ on your wallet. Inner suburbs should learn from this joint and transform their rooftops into something like this. Super cool - highly recommended.
State Of Steph
It’s taken me a good four years since I’d first heard of this joint to finally pay a visit, and to be honest, I’m feeling a little guilty about it. Tasty tapas? Check. Delicious drinks? Check. Amazing view? Check. What more could you need in a bar?. Entering from the street, you walk into the downstairs area of the bar, called Naked for Satan. For me, it really felt (and smelled) like your typical pub – aside from the 50 cents pintxos laid out upon the bar. At 6pm, it wasn’t exactly going off, so I headed straight to the lift to take me up to the roof.

I've been here twice and both time this place was packed ! Definitely a fun and unique place for drinks and tapas with the friends or even a fun night out with your partner. The ambience is busy, face paced and very casual. They have a self serve sort of system where you pay and order at the bar and grab a number and your food will be brought to you by a waiter. Come early as it is very hard to find a seat especially during times and days were the tapas are all $9! Definitely recommend the baked camembert as well as the meatballs. The food was really awesome especially with a beer or cider, they were serve hot and quiet quick. Their eggplant chips however can be a hit or miss depending how busy they are as the first time I went they were soggy but they still tasted quiet good. Definitely a fun and chilled place to go for drinks and some food and not to forget the view is amazing.
C
Great place for dates. Lovely view of the city. Love the cocktails and recommend getting some of the tapas. Go early as it does get very busy but it makes for a great atmosphere!
Georgia Sing
Such a great atmosphere for drinks at any time of the year. The view from the rooftop is beautiful, and you can look out to the city. The drinks, including a large range of cocktails are delicious, and all the staff are super friendly. The wait can be long, but it's worth it from the top!
Melbourne Epicure
Superb view of the city. Great sharing style food. Their eggplant chips with a drizzle of blue cheese and honey are so delicious I feel like running there now for some… nice meatballs and other goodies. Good vibe but it's really hard (sometimes) to get a nice table so get there early.
Adam Scarf
Naked In the Sky is without a doubt one of Melbourne’s most iconic bars and with good reason. Wander up to the rooftop and you’ll get unbeatable views. There’s an unbelievably huge selection of vodka available if that’s your thing, but the bar is also very well stocked with all sorts of beer and wine. The atmosphere is always buzzing and vibrant and the “cheeky” decor is certainly a talking point!
Lisa Giles
One of my favourite rooftop bars in Melbourne. The views are lovely, and the atmosphere is always so lively. The selection of cocktails is small but impressive, and there’s many other alcoholic options for every preference. Perfect place for a group hangout or a date. Can get a bit crowded at night, especially in summer, but definitely a Melbourne staple.
Sarah Loves Food
me here today with a couple of friends for a Sunday sesh. I had my usual mulled wine and I decided to try the vodka with rose and opium (hahah a bit strange I know) it tasted ok, I much prefer the ginger and lychee as well as the cherry ripe vodka. I found the rose one kinda tasted like cheap vodka. My friends and I also ordered some food to share. We got the fried cheese and walnut croquettes, I'm not a huge fan of croquettes but these were nicer than other ones I've had, my friends liked them but they said they weren't as good as they remember from last time. We also ordered the baked Camembert cheese, OMG this was amazing (much better then the battered bake it yourself Camembert you can get from Aldi haha). I loved the combination of garlic and truffle with the cheese. The Camembert actually made my average rose 🌹 vodka taste a lot better. The pork meatballs were delicious but it was hard to beat the Camembert. The staff here were friendly and fast like last time and they made sure our tables were cleared. It didn't smell near the toilets which was nice. I'd love to come back and try other things off the menu.

Edit: I’m at Naked in the Sky and it’s pretty much torrential rain ☔️. We didn’t want to drown aka get our hair wet. We decided to go inside to use the bathroom through the “staff entry” when we went through a rude lady told us that this is the staff entrance only and she told us to go back through the other door. We had to walk through the rain. Fair enough if she meant don’t use this door again but to make us walk through the torrential rain was unnecessary. The toilets also smell really bad.

Great bar with a great view of the city, really good selection of drinks and food is nice too although I only had some appetisers over a few drinks!
Charlotte Cooper
The food’s price is reasonable but the drinks are so expensive. The oysters and small snacks are great with beer. The view is really nice, can’t really see it well enough when you are sitting down though but it’s worth a visit.
Flying Forward
Points for: rooftop drinks, Spanish cuisine

Worth visiting every time I’m in the area.

The rooftop is a cool spot for drinks with views of the CBD and neighbouring areas (not breathtaking but rooftop bars are scarce around here). If it rains, you’re a little bit stuck, but they do have some undercover tables, and indoor seating as well.

Can get a little busy on sunny weekends, but manageable.

It’s also worth eating here too because the tapas is really well done.
The octopus is really soft and tender, with paprika and potato purée.
Also a big fan of the baked whole camembert, which comes with crusty toasted sourdough. Once you break through the outer layer, it’s
just all melty goodness inside.
Beef tartare is really fresh, with specks of gherkin cutting through, and the little quail yolk giving it an extra richness. Nice touch with the large handmade crisps to use as a base.

You've got to be lucky to snag a seat up there but if you do, very cool place!

Great views, lovely tapas and tasty drinks - gets very, very busy!

Great place with a great vibe and am amazing view. Amazing cocktails with great food. I don't think you can really ask for more than that. Hands down one of my favorite places.
KnowingMelbourne
A great roof top bar in the heart of Fitzroy. Really pretty views of Melbourne and on a warm night it's a great place to hang out with friends over drinks. Delicious cocktails too!
Simmyeats.Melb
One of my fav roof top bars in Melbourne, Naked In The Sky is an absolute ripper! Whether you are there in summer or winter the atmosphere is amazing. Sure in winter you need to rug up till the cows come home but the night view of the city is spectacular. There is heating which does keep you quite warm but this is not covered throughout the whole area. Personally, I prefer it in summer or anytime the sun is out. They have a good beer, cider and wine list and I am sure the cocktails are nice too. Have had snacks here in the past which were lovely. Seating can be difficult to score sometimes, mainly when the weather is nice. There are different views of the city depending on where you are seated.
Juhi- Culture And Cuisine
Went with mates on a Saturday night and wasn't sure what the hype was about. There are way too many tables shoved in the balcony. The wait wasn't honestly worth it. The rooftop needs to have a little more appeal than ot currently does.

$9 for everything on the menu Sunday nights? Seems too good to be true, the portions must be tiny, the quality terrible, they probably take oysters off the menu right?

Luckily i was proven wrong on all fronts. Don't get me wrong it wasn't some amazing culinary experience but the food was still decent and the menu extensive. $9 for half a dozen oysters is pretty good value, they were small and a tad salty but i quite liked the vinaigrette. We also got the crab and chorizo croquettes (low on crab flavor), the lamb shoulder (a little too fatty in some parts), the scallops (ridiculously salty, but cooked well) and the star of the night: the baked camembert with truffle paste.

Will definitely come back with more friends so we can sample more of the menu. And our waitress deserves a mention i think, for being so sweet and attentive.

B IS FOR BASQUE

Was it fun? Drinking cold Rose on a hot summers day on the rooftop bar with the best views in town with great company? Heck yes it was! Would do again.

We ate:

Charcuterie Board: -JAMON IBERICO DE BELLOTA, FREE RANGE ACORN FED HAM, SAUCISSON, PORK SAUSAGE, CAPOCOLLO

Rosé

Popcorn Chicken

Baked Camembert

We drank:

all the Rosé

Albariño

The most amazing view of the city and more types of cocktails than you can imagine. Beautiful lights light up the rooftop and the staff are always so friendly, helpful and look so funky. I have yet to find a drink here I do not like xx
Maddie Kingham
Came here for a few drinks after enjoying a morning at the local markets. The view is perfection- panoramic views of the city that are almost entirely uninhibited! The staff are all very friendly and cheerful, as well. We ordered a beer, a champagne and a Bloody Mary and everything was great- best Bloody Mary I have ever tasted! Kudos to the bar tender! We also got some oysters to share ($18 for a 1/2 dozen) which were fresh and tasty, albeit on the small side.
Stunsail
A great place to bring people from out of town for a great day view of the city in the warmer months. It brings all sorts out and Fitzroy is changing so can get a little pretentious sometimes, so a few points off for that and for the bar staff who can be too cool for school - it's a special skill to make it sound like your voice is rolling its eyes. I've eaten from the dining menu and the bar menu - both have a good selection of dishes. Both the food and vibe is great, and some of the tapas selection is truly delicious.
Bella
If you are after a bar with a great view then naked in the sky has that on offer. The outdoor deck is a great place to have a drink, chat with friends and enjoy the melbourne skyline. It does get crazy busy up here so best to get in early to grab a table. Awesome selection of drinks on offer.
Queen Of Food
I was relatively surprised the food was really nice here! We ordered a series of tapas while having some drinks on the terrace and everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned and well balanced. The standout was the baked Camembert which was absolutely delicious with the truffle oil and oozy in the middle. I'll be back again!
MelbourneVita
It’s ok, I promise Naked in the Sky isn’t the name of a seedy XXX bar and yes, all visitors are required to wear clothes, (although based on a recent visit, some do wear less than others). What it is, is a really impressive roof top bar, only accessible by one small lift located in the back of Naked for Satan’s Brunswick Street restaurant. It’s quite a funny sight when entering the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon to see most of the tables empty, but this huge queue of people waiting to catch the lift upstairs. Once you’re transported up a few levels and you enter the Spanish inspired bar with its million dollar views of the city, it’s easy to see why so many people are drawn here time and time again.
Mi55Bee
Our ultimate to go place when we need a drink plus an outdoor sitting with view to die for. Naked for Satan never fails and i always have their signature rose and the holy eggplant frittes with blue cheese!
Beini
After all these years, Fitzroy remains cool and hip, somethings’ll never change. Naked in the Sky, as many of you may know by now, is the rooftop bar right above Naked for Satan. If you’re looking for some more inventive tapas, have more than a $10 note to spend, and are looking for some breathtaking views, then enter the escalator and all your dreams will come true.
Ben Lee Kong
It is well documented that Melbourne has inconsistent weather. Just when you think it might be a bit of exaggeration and urban myth, you’ll be reaching for an umbrella in sunshine, or will be carrying one aimlessly for hours wondering why you bothered. Like other cities with fickle weather, as soon as one of those spectacular days come along, there is a stampede to take full advantage, as if there will never be another nice day. It is panic!

Then you sit and talk about how great the weather is. For hours. And no one questions it, because they are all thinking the same thing. Today is one of those days. We should be sitting at home, eating a home cooked meal, but this could be the last chance we ever get to eat outside in complete comfort.

On days like these, there actually aren’t a crazy number of options. If bars and restaurants relied on Melbourne having spectacular weather they would be broke faster than a pub with no beer. Functional outdoor spaces here need to have heating, blankets, parasols, wind breakers, or shades, and that is not cheap. As we ran through a list of options that ticked the box for quality food, and drinks, with evening sun, we didn’t exactly have 50 places in mind.
Johnnymirand
Enjoyed the food though we had to wait a bit to get in. I wouldn't say the dishes were all typically tapas style but I'm not complaining. Service was generally pretty good with the one delay being more than adequately compensated for.
Heidi
What a beautiful view of Melbourne from the roof top! Certainly one to check out! We were lucky to get a spot on the roof top and watch the sun set across the city skyline last Wednesday! Was beautiful! We order a few plates of tapas to share, the stuffed zucchini flowers, skewers, crumbed eggplant chips with blue cheese dressing and cabrese salad! It was all delicious, especially the zucchini flowers! My fave!
Celine Cox
Nice roof top bar. Been there few times. It's a good spot having a few alcohol after work. The beverage menu has plenty of options. The food is so so.
Great view out there.
Must visit!
@twogoodtoresist
The roof top bar at naked in the sky is beautiful! Great views of melbourne city, fun vibes and fantastic drinks! The tapas menu is delicious (we highly recommend the eggplant chips and popcorn chicken). They infuse their own vodkas and brew their own cider so there's really not much to fault this place with!
Our Foodie Finds
Perfect timing for the weather to cool down to 27°C from 41°C at 5.30pm as we made our way to a popular watering hole for hipsters and professionals alike. Located on the rooftop right above Naked for Satan where pintxo's are served bar side, Naked in the Sky is fast becoming a regular hot spot if it isn't already in the Brunswick street hub.

Access to the rooftop can be located at the back of the bar on the bottom floor via the elevators up to Level 4. Its a slow ride but the wait is worth it as you have the option of dining/drinking in doors or out keeping in mind the there is no table service if you sit outside.

A few Hendricks Gin + Tonic w/ cucumber $9.0 later, we got a little hungry and ordered what was a delicious array of tapas dishes that matched the perfect vibe and sunset in the horizon. A majority of the tapas dishes we ordered were between $12.5 - $15.8 like the Raw beef Tartare, Grilled prawn skewers and Confit chicken wing sliders to name a few. All up we had about 5 or 6 tapas dishes between the two of us and a few more G&T's along with a x3 cheese board $22.5 to finish off a great evening.

The bar is as you would expect of any bar whether it be roof top or not so there's nothing special about the kit out. What makes this place though is the vibe, view, great service from both bar staff and servers. Its a regular you'll see us at at least once a month and look forward to the next visit so till next time, this is Our Foodie Find!
Linda
Not only does this place have amazing views of Melbourne...but the baked Camembert with truffle oil - omg!! The beef tartare is melt in your mouth delicious! Definitely can't wait to come back and try more off the menu. Plus all tapas is $9 on a Friday arvo - great value!
Gavin Gusling
Great food and a large drinks menu, interesting tapas plates with everything from beetroot salad to fried cheese. Decor is eclectic and in line with the theme of the place, service was good but sometimes inconsistent. Well worth the trip.
Mildred
The outlook is gorgeous. The venue looks great. Didn't try food. Staff competent. Gin & tonic was ludicrously expensive & very basic. Offered no choice of gin or anything other than lime. Okay.
Lisajane
2nd time I've been there and loved it just as much as the 1st. We were there about 6.30 on a very hot Friday night but didn't have to wait too long in the line for the lift up to the bar. Restaurant was full but only a 20 min wait for a table.. Had a drink while taking in the sunset and view of the city then headed into the restaurant. Food was just as good as the view and service was excellent. They also do a damn good espresso martini. By the time we left which was about 9.30 the line to get in the lift was quite long. Wish I didn't live so far away I would definitely go there more often.
Eatjin
Absolutely delicious tapas and worth the bang for your buck at only 9dollars each from 12 to 4 weekdays.
Highly recommend the zucchini flowers.
Will definitely make an effort to come back ❤️❤️❤️
Little S
Still one of my fave bars. Great views great food and drink. Smokers ruin it for non smokers trying to enjoy the sunshine but that isn't new. Eggplant chips and the zucchini flowers my fave picks.
Ramadhanty Putra
As a tourist, I gotta say this is one of my favorite place in Melbourne!

A rooftop bar looking out Fitzroy view, where I can enjoy sipping my coffee or taste the good Matcha Latte. Tried the fried eggplant for snacks, its delicious!

A must visit place in Melbourne ❤
Milla Vanilla
Been wanting to check it out for the longest time and so glad I did! Awesome drinks and great tapas (if you're okay with lingering around to get a table just don't look creepy doing so). Food came out quickly considering it was packed.

Beef skewers, eggplant chips & beetroot were good though the charcuterie board at $28 was underwhelming. Good cold cuts but lacked accompaniments like pickles or oil/butter as the untoasted bread was dry.

Great way to spend a lazy Sunday - or any day - will be coming back late arvo when the crowd dies down!
Steph
Amazing place. We didn't order any food but the service & drinks were amazing. We sat on the rooftop for at least 2 hours chatting, enjoying the view and having some drinks. Love love love this place!
ThE MOiStMaKeR
I really really enjoyed this place! The view was great and all but there weren't many food options - but that was my fault, had no idea there were better and more food downstairs!
Nikki
Ok so I'm going to give a four out of five in fact that food was amazing as was view ect... I don't know if I'm alone here and I probably am but it just felt a little weird in a place called "Naked for Satan" that the service was so focused on trying to be fine dining and a little snobby.. I thought I was in Fitzroy were staff are generally brilliant and smart but different and quirky. That being said baked Camembert , beef cheek and slow cooked pork was Lovley. Overall great night but know for more laid back service to go on deck next time .

Arguably the bar with the best view in Melbourne. Fantastic spot on one of Melbourne's warm summer's days.

Find me on Instagram @melbourne_explorer or at MelbourneExplorer.com

Love this rooftop bar. Amazing view! But it's really busy. On a nice sunny day I thought about going there but thinking about waiting put me off...would prefer going on a quiet time. Great food, beautiful view and nice drinks.
Eat My Shorts
Decent view, food hit-and-miss for the price, rude staff member.

We were looking to have a bite to eat in their dining area on a Friday night. The person that was seating people said there's a 45 minute wait for a table. I left my number and she said they'd call when a table became available. We bought a drink and stood out at the balcony, which has a great view of the city.

Having not received any notification in 45 minutes, we presented ourselves to the dining area. The person said she'd sent us a message long ago and they hold tables only for 10 minutes, so bad luck, there's no table for us. I said we hadn't received any messages. She showed me her computer from which the message was sent. She had a digit wrong. "That's the number you gave me, mate", she said. I said it was very unlikely I gave a wrong number as I've had my number for years. I suggested she might have misheard it. She insisted she hadn't, that I had given her a wrong number, now we won't get a table, she said quite aggressively.

We were hungry and desperate. I asked in my nicest voice if we could wait for the next table. She'll see if she could seat us in about 15 minutes (estimate only), she said loftily, gesturing at some empty tables behind her. We were then seated within the next couple of minutes.

Some of the food was decent, some was bland, all of it was seasoned with the bitter taste of having had someone be unnecessarily rude to you. The other staff seemed nice.

They would rather throw food in the bin than let you take away leftovers, which seemed to match that person's general attitude.

Seemed like too much money to pay for that food and dining experience.

Not a very diverse crowd and didn't feel very welcome. I'll come back with some white people next time, if I ever come back.

Very enjoyable meal to finish off the weekend. Favourites were the octopus, the pumpkin ravioli. Desert was the Spanish creme brûlée. Will be back for sure!

Great outdoor area. The heaters are fantastic so it's actually super warm up there! The eggplant chips are AWESOME! Skewered Prawns were good. Mulled wine was maybe the best I have ever had. Or at least really close. I will be back 😍

amazing experience in a drizzling afternoon. The view from the roof is so fantastic. Food and drink here are excellent as well. I strongly recommend the prawn skewers. And there are heaters so it is warm on the roof.

What a fun and interesting place. We came for dinner on a Wednesday night with a group of eight and were very pleasantly surprised by the fact that the noise level was not too high, the food was out of this world delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. For me the standout dishes were the empanadas, beek cheek, heirloom carrots, and scallops but in all honesty, everything was good. Thinking hard right now about when I can get back for more.

Wrote this review on naked for satan 5 mins ago.... extremely rude staff. Such a Shane at one of my favs. Acting manager needs a lesson in hospitality.

Rude waiters, rude service. Waited for 30 mins for cocktails. ...............................................................................

This place was amazing. Had afternoon Sunday sesh drinks here. Jug of spiced rum cocktail shared among us girls was a hit. Me and my friend who love olives were pleased to see a tapas option for marinated olives which we jumped at ! Deliciously juicy and went well with the sweetness of the...

Nothing beats a chilly weekend afternoon with a pot of beer and their nibbles (love their chicken slider & cheese and walnut croquettes!!!) in this hidden naked in the sky with ma mates!
Also love their cheesy wall arts ; )
But it was crowded so there was a little wait.Great experience still

I loved gloomy ambience. Food is creative and few good options for vegetarian. Worth trying. The view is good one but not that great. Friendly staff.

Few places draw me back like NiTS does. The food, service and atmosphere are always great. On a freezing Friday, there were no tables available inside (dammit!) so we sat outside under the heaters until their heat was replaced by a "beer coat". No table service outside so we order food and drinks from the Bar. Food included charcuterie board, cheese and walnut croquettes, scallops, fried lamb ribs, prawn skewers, eye fillet skewers and pork/veal meatballs. Everything cooked to perfection. I found the eye fillet and the prawns a little bland but everything else was great. Prompt service, delivery of food and professional service. Relaxed atmosphere outside but next time - and there will be a next time - I'll book a table. Perfect for all occasions; you can dress it up or dress it down!

The food is ok but it's definitely over priced and our experience wasn't a pleasant one at all. The attitude of the waitresses was not acceptable, not only because they would avoid eye contact and were not very responsive (even when you would call out to them to get their attention), but also because of the way we were treated. It started to drizzle and we asked if the awnings could be opened and we were told that they will get someone to come and do it, but that never happened. It then started to rain and we asked a waitress if they could open them at that point and she advised us that 'it's not really raining' and while arguing it actually started pouring!! We had to get up and grab our food and drinks and stand under the covered area while they were getting the manager to come and open the awnings! We were not even offered another table to move to and we will not go back there again, not only because of the food, but also because of the poor service and rudeness of the staff.

Nice view but horrible food and service. It rained outside while we were eating and the waitress told us its our problem... Would not eat here again.

Absolutely a fantastic place to hang out with friends. Located on then roof top with 360 view of whole Melbourne. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. Knowledgable and great recommendations. Nice varities of quality tapas and food. The cocktails and beers selection was great too. Been there number of times but never disappointed.
Hello World!
Well, what a wonderful view at the top of Naked for Satan's rooftop the Baked in the sky. It is such a nice place to catch up with your family and friends. Attendants were friendly. For food, we ordered Charcuterie Board, confit chicken wings sliders, fried lamb ribs and baked scollops. For a bar food restaurant they were quiet good. However worth of mention was the fired lamb ribs. The meat was so tender and soft! The scollops were OK, the crunchy corn actually covered the taste of the scollops. Rather than that, it was a nice experience. P.S. You have to check out the wall papers outside of the toilets.

One of my favourite places in Melbourne. I've been here a number of times and have not had a bad experience yet.

The espresso martinis are amazing and even have their own section of the bar to be prepared.

The outdoor area overlooks the city on one side and Fitzroy on the other and is a perfect experience with the colourful outdoor lights and a setting sun.

The indoor meals at the restaurant are amazing. Definitely recommend sharing a whole heap of dishes particularly the baked camembert, the grilled beef skewers, the lamb shoulder and the eggplant fingers.

Absolutely love this place!!!

Still popular with the locals as getting a table outside requires you to get there early or just be lucky but it does have some great views of the city. Drinks aren't bad the food is ordered at the bar the skewers are pretty good.

Good sky bar. Lunch specials are amazing. Wait time can be minimised but overall a hit. Will visit here again. Prawn on skewer n zucchini fritters were amazing.

Lovely open atmosphere here, views extending all round including a panoramic view of the city which makes this a great spot to enjoy a relaxed drink with friends. Tasted the Final Word, somewhat of a middle ground between The Last Word and a G&T and it was biting and refreshing without the risk of leglessness the original cocktail brings!

This is simply impressive in all aspects. Take the elevator up to the fourth floor and your immediately impressed. Check out the awesome view of Melbourne (yes Melbourne does have good views!) grab a drink and if you're hungry they have great food.

Finally got around to giving this placed a crack. Once the elevator reached the 4th floor and the doors opened, i kinda said to myself "see mate, this is why you haven't come here yet!" Outside was jamming as expected (Thursday 7pm).

One can only wander the balcony sipping beer pretending that i've lost my mates for so long i tell ya. 20 odd minutes later the Mrs and I found a seat, i felt like i was getting to the final round of musical chairs the way i jumped at the freshly vacated seat.

We ordered our food... Charcuterie Board, beef skewers, prawn skewers, eggplant chips and pork meatballs. I was filthy at myself for forgetting Croquettes but figured that'd be overkill anyway. The beef skewers were the winner i found, they were sooo tender and juicy! Service at the bar and clearing the tables was good also.

So now its 7:55ish, yeah we kinda demolished the food cos it all came out at once, and i like to enjoy my food at a reasonable temperature. We spot another couple, or friends who might just like putting their arms around each other who knows, pull up near by...and i knew that look on their faces cos that was me when we arrived, i was in two minds...make em wait like we had to, or be semi decent human beings and wrap it up and let them enjoy their night? So we waved said couple down so they can enjoy the great food and view that this place does eventually offer.

Love this place. Great views from the groovy rooftop terrace. (I would only go when weather is good enough to be on the rooftop). Don't expect a proper meal with starters and mains - it is only tapas food which you have to order at the bar. However the tapas are really tasty and they have great cocktails too. For a proper menu with starters and mains, I think there is the restaurant inside, but I haven't tried it. Prices are reasonable too - I went there for lunch with my cousin who was visiting from France last week, we shared about 5 tapas together and had 2 drinks each - we were full and it only cost around 60$ overall. My cousin loved it and loved the views. It was perfect for her last day visiting Melbourne! Recommend the cheese & walnut croquettes, the zucchini flowers, baked Camembert, and lamb cutlets! All really tasty. Tapas menu changes sometimes. I remember having chicken wings about a month ago which were really good too.

Loved the view. We sat inside as it was super busy outside. We tried to order 5 dishes and our waiter kindly let us know that it was probably a little too much of we aren't big eaters. Thank God! We couldn't even finish the 4th dish. Highlight was the rice salad with almonds, surprisingly delicious. Two people & wine = $100

Fantastic view, and absolutely delicious food. The crumbed eggplant was so, so good. Impossibly crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the inside. I loved the blue cheese sauce drizzled on top. It wasn't too overpowering so it didn't take away from the eggplant. It complemented extremely nicely. We also tried the confit duck sliders. The duck came crumbed, which I didn't expect. The sliders were very tasty, although the bun was a little bit dry. I would have preferred a brioche bun. We wanted to be a bit adventurous, so we ordered the mushroom parfait. It was amazingly smooth, and created a very unique, delicious flavour combo when eaten with the other elements on the board. This was the best meal I've had in a while. Can't wait to return!

This place is great! Another great chill out spot that also sells fun and delicious food. Beautiful rooftop views and a few drinks on a balmy evening. Bliss! Nice staff, happy people, great vibes! Definitely coming back.
