Hadn’t been to the Napier for a couple of years. Was reminded of why I liked it - it’s just a great pub serving satisfying pub food. Ordered a parma, it really hit the spot. Perfect place for a few drinks and a pub meal on a Friday night.
Love love love Napier!! Tucked away in a backstreet, super friendly and helpful staff, food is BEYOND amazing though, easily the best of it's kind I've had in a long time. Plus a decent range of options to choose from if you're not in for a classic parma and a pint, ambience is also on point!!
Wow it’s a noisy place on a Saturday night, but full of people having a great time celebrating birthdays. We had a great meal Beef Burger for me and Beef Bourgeon Pie for my Partner. Apple and Rhubarb Crumble for desert. All tasty and served hot. Very generous serves. Definitely returning (but maybe not on a Saturday night)! Partner very happy with beers on tap especially the dark beers. Thanks for a great night.
I called in here with some mates for a bevvie or two.
The service was good and it was nice to be able to sit outside on a warm night (and some of my party were smoking).
This is an old school pub which I like, rather than a renovated trendy place.
Unfortunately I was chatting to much and I forgot to take some pics so when I go back I’ll take some pics to post on here.
Overall a good fun place.
Loved the vibe the several times I've come here, really friendly staff happy to help, location is brilliant because it's sort of tucked away in a side street but surrounded by so many live music venues, artsy areas, & tourist hotspots. Not super cheap (for my budget at least) but you certainly receive what you pay for!! I've never had a bad food experience at The Napier Hotel, will be back very soon!!
We got a table at the beer garden outside as it was booked inside. Relaxed and chilled atmosphere. We got the parma with kangaroo meat. I felt the kangaroo meat was slightly tough. The parma itself was alright. We also got the fish and chips which was good. The seafood pasta was delicious.
Best chicken Parma in town for sure! This pub is an institution in the area, highly recommended. Food is great and portions are very generous. Staff is really nice and the atmosphere is just great for a pub!
We were doing all touristy stuff in Australia during our year end vacation in 2018. Fitzroy was in my list as I had heard this place is famous for some cool architecture and has a sleepy, hipster vibe.
While exploring Fitzroy, we stumbled at this place called, Napier. When we entered there were just 4 guests enjoying their drink with the India vs Australia cricket match in the TV. The vibe of this place is very eclectic and super cool and friendly staff!
We had their Stone and wood brew, which I really loved in my tenure in OZ land! The drink is very light and super fruity taste. Loved it.
I really love their pepper crusted kangaroo! I've tried other things on their specials board, like tilapia and lamb. Everything is delicious! I just can't help myself from ordering the Kangaroo everytime I come, as much as I would like to try other things on their menu. The cook is always perfect and the fries are nice. Quite surprising for pub fare. I've been here more than half a dozen times, and each time has been consistent. The price may seem high on some items, but the quantity and quality is worth it. Definitely worth many visits!
The Napier hotel is a bit of an iconic pub in the Fitzroy area. A perfect spot for a drink, with a couple of different indoor areas and a beer garden as well. They have a great pub menu too. I have only ever ordered the chicken Parma, a good sized chicken Parma served with show string fries and a salad. My friend swears by the kangaroo steak (also served with fries and salad), that’s his absolute favourite. A great place with a lot of charm.
My favorite place for steak. I always order a scotch and try out one of their specials on the board as it consistently changes and never disappoints. On my latest visit I ordered the scotch fillet with bernaise sauce, medium rare. To my disappointment it was quite rare and a bit chewy. However my other experiences prior were perfect so I’m not going to let this one ruin that for me. The salad and chips that come on the side are always amazing. We didn’t leave a single piece left on the plate. Got the chicken bacon corn mushroom leek pot pie from the specials board which was okay. I probably wouldn’t order it again. If the risotto comes back it’s a must order!
The atmosphere is great. Our waiter was excellent! The vegan burger was delicious.Great to see plant based items on the menu. A great night had by all😀🙏
Perfect pub food in a warm friendly environment. The scotch fillet was so flavoursome! The Pie was very tasty I’m told. The rice pudding was delicious also. Could be a regular, weekday or weekend.
The Best Parma in town!!! @napier_hotel
The Napier Hotel is my happy place. Whenever I’m having a down day or need a mood lift, a visit to Napier Hotel will always lift my mood up back to 10/10. That is how good they are!
There was a time in my life where I was hunting and searching for the best Parma in town and having tried many I can hand on heart say that Napier Hotel has the best! It is always consistent, the chicken soft, juicy and tasty and the substitution of the ham for smoked roo meat is genius.
Not only are the Parma’s awesome, everything else on the menu is so good! As she is vegetarian, the vegetarian options and specials are always on point! The curries are just so tasty, surprisingly for a pub!
It is a very cosy place, somewhere where you can easily spend a few hours with some good company, enjoy a delicious meal and a beverage or two. It is an awesome place! If you want to enjoy a great meal and leave with a massive smile and happy feeling the Napier Hotel is the place to go. This is an easy 5/5 for us.
The Napier Hotel is a Fitzroy institution, and has been operating as a pub on the one site since opening in 1866. It’s a true local’s pub, the kind of place you don’t see to often these days. Walk inside the historic building and it’s like stepping back in time.
Walked past this pub many a cold evenings thinking - man that place looks cosy, I should pop in for a drink. Finally on a chilly May evening I did & I was not disappointed.
We were greeted by a friendly bar person as soon as we enetered & given drink recommendations.
Mixed seating, warm mood lighting lighting & warming fireplace. The Napier was every bit as cosy as I imagined from the outside.
Good variety of menu items/specials. Food came out fast, it was tasty perfect sizing & decent value for money. I had a beef & burgundy pie (perfect cold weather food) & my companion had the chicken burger. Both meals were very satisfying.
If it's cold out & you're nearby definitely drop in.
If you’re looking for a pub atmosphere but not a ‘pub meal’, you must head here. The food here is surprisingly delicious.
Even though we’d been recommended the place, when we first walked in I wasn’t convinced it was going to deliver. The decor is very much a regular pub (well, a nice regular pub) and the seating options were a mixed bag (some high tables, some big tables with benches and then some basic more restaurant style at the back). For decor I would lean more towards a 4 star rating, but for some reason the app wouldn’t allow a 4.5 rating. Regardless...
There is a decent range of wine to choose from, which was great. I was half expecting “we’ve either got red or white” scenario. But there was even a whole extra board of wines to choose from - the one we ended up selecting was lovely.
You have to get the salt and pepper squid starter. It’s so delicious!! We shared it between three, which really just gave us all a few pieces of squid to taste. The squid ink is in an aioli and takes the dish to another level. The salad itself is also so well balanced it was sweet and salty and just yummy.
I had the kangaroo salad for main. The person who recommended the place told us the kangaroo fillet was delicious and a ‘must try’, but I just didn’t feel like a hunk of meat at the time. If the fillet is anything like the salad, I understand why he raved. The salad was so, so tasty. It also had a great balance of crunch (the nuts), creaminess with the cheese, salt in the meat and the sweet dressing. I have no idea how they prepared the kangaroo, but it felt like it melted in your mouth and was bursting with so much flavour it brought this dish to a raging crescendo with every bite. My mouth is watering just remembering it.
Everyone else at the table had steak, and they all looked perfectly cooked and delicious. We got some fries for the table and couldn’t fault them.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food came out in good time (although it wasn’t super busy when we went).
I would definitely go back again. But I may have set my expectations high for meal #2.
It's been a while but we've been meaning to be back as we had here one of the best kangaroo dishes ever. Great atmosphere and beer selection is good too. Recommended.
Great food, nice menu, good vibe, helpful staff and very good value.
Be back soon
One of my favourite pubs in Melbourne, tucked down a quiet street in Fitzroy. I work down the road and come here afterwards sometimes with work mates. It's cosy in there and the food is delicious. Love the southern fried chicken burger...the best I've had!
Chicken burgers are really good. Atmosphere is pretty good too. Crazy big portions also. Come here for a big feed on an empty stomach. Find the fries and sides are just ok and sometimes burger can be a little dry. Good spot though and worth a try!
Great range of food options - don't be fooled by the menu they place in front of you, there's also a huge specials board.
I got the special gnocchi, which had a sauce of beef, kales and hazelnuts, which was delicious. The gnocchi was soft and fluffy but was was missing that little bit of bite you're looking for. My partner got the Parma with kangaroo which was amazing. So smoky, cheesy, crispy. I did get a little bit of food envy! Both servings were huge and we'll be back to try more (or just get the Parma again).
Solid pub meal. Low key vibe. I had the goat stew which was flavoursome but had a lot of bones and olives which weren't pitted which meant you had to work for your meal. Pie special was also tasty. Will return
LOVE THIS PLACE!!
Go here once a week at least! Not only my favourite place for a pub meal but also for the best Scotch fillet in town! 👌🏼
This place is awesome and the staff are always so lovely ☺️👍🏼
HIGH RECOMMEND ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Been craving a quality Parma and a friend recommended the Napier. It didn't disappoint. Succulent chicken, loaded with ham and sauce and cheese and you know what, it's exactly what a Parma should be. Fries and a jug of beer whilst admiring this old school pub made for a great evening. No photo? Well, unfortunately it didn't last long enough for me to take a snap :)
I can't wait to get back to the Napier Hotel. Good food good friends good times. Every time I'm in Melbourne I go to the Napier. Really can't wait to get my steak... 🔪🔪🔪
Great classic Melbourne pub , awesome big meals . Went with a bunch of friends for dinner and drinks . Have been many time before and will go again and again.
Great nice historical pub. Love the settings. The first time I went to Napiers for dinner with some friends (a friend recommended the place). Then I went back for lunch another day as I liked the place very much. Food is very nice and people are very friendly. We tried Bogan burger, RooSteak and some of their specials. All nice (Although I wouldn't go back for the burger).
Being the only country in the world that consumes the animals on it’s national emblem is a fact I like to share with visitors, and them berate them until they try one or the other. The Napier has RooSteak for those who want to go hammer and tongs into it, or a parma option that subs ham for smoked roo. Either option sounds like a good one, but the Steak was the winner at our table. Naturally D went for the bogan burger. 48 hours into this marriage and he’s showing his true intentions when applying for Australian citizenship. Can I get a refund? I’m kidding - for all you people without a sense of humour out there. The bogan burger includes minute steak, chicken schnitzel, pineapple, potato cake, beetroot, bacon, egg, tomato and cheddar. You can almost feel your arteries gloriously blocking as you eat it, if you can fit it all in your mouth at once. Honestly though, get into it. It’s magnificent.
The Napier is a great little old school hotel. It has the standard hodge podge rabbit warren of rooms, easy access to the bar and a casual, relaxed Friday-after-work-beer feel to it. An open fire in the front room gives a cosy atmosphere. Even if we are 30 days away from “summer” it was necessary in this weird as hell weather. The outside seating is a great space to soak up some sun and the food is definitely a cut above some of the more casual pubs in the area. I love that pub classics have a slight twist without going to an extra level of wank to appease picky Melbourne eaters.
The portion sizes are VAST. The American-in-laws were a little shocked at the price, after we assured them it was pretty standard even we were floored at the size. Definitely didn’t need the entree or side of onion rings. But who doesn’t love onion rings?
The Chicken Parmagiana with Smoked Kangaroo, Fries, and Salad ($25)... was everything a parma should be – a thick, juicy chicken fillet, lightly crumbed and topped with fragrant Napoli sauce and melty, chewy cheese. The smoky kangaroo fillet added an extra flavour dimension you usually don’t get, and the sides of chips and salad were top notch. Absolutely no complaints here (but of course, we already knew that)!
Nothing beats the authenticity and charm of this historical corner pub! Great vibes, great service, great drinks and to top it all off the food is second to none! It's always a guaranteed good night down at the Napier!
I never write reviews but I just got the zomato app so I could share with everyone how up good the chicken burger is. I put my phone on do not disturb and just went to town
There's really no need for a lengthy review of (or introduction to) this pub. It's Melbourne's best. Solid and vast selection of beers on tap. The standard of the food is unlike any other pub I've eaten at in Melbourne (and possibly Australia). The specials board rivals the a la carte menu for diversity and deliciousness and the staff is the friendliest you'll come across in a public bar. In fact, I'm heading there now for a pint of Hargreaves ESB.
I come here when I've been inhaling any semi-elicit plant all day until I can’t verb straight and I spend at least a kind of outrageous interval of time just staring at the menu n inexplicable indecision and sensation tantamount to spiritual Anthrax. I generally haven’t eaten in seriously? days for the same reason, and I’ve had, like, 0 hours sleep. Somehow the parma keeps me afloat.
10/10. Will experience again
Probably one of the best pub meals I've had in Melbourne, service was a touch disappointing but the food was so good this was easily overlooked.
Great! Warm, busy and cosy. A good pub vibe with delicious food. Between us we had burgers, clams, steak and pasta, all of which was great. I definitely recommend booking for dinner, Wednesday night and it was packed!
We cannot get enuf of this place. Weve visited at least once a week for the last 3 years and it's consistently the best Parma in Melbourne, after having one and then trying one at another place, they just don't compare. Also I love their curry dishes not sure whose cooking these gems up but having travelled all over India, the curries at the Napier (there's usually on on the specials board) are the closest I've come across in Aus. Stand out recently was the Goan pork curry... Absolutely spot on. Who would've thought?
Was craving a Chicken Parma last night and the Napier Hotel delivered exactly what I was looking for. Could see this as a regular stop. Great work guys!
Napier Hotel is old, dark, slightly cramped... just a very "pub-y" pub. On Saturday night, it was packed but we got a table just as two people left. Our simple mixer drinks were very weak. The menu was full of typical pub dishes with Australian influences. We both went with kangaroo - in the form of steak and pie, plus a salami and parmesan croquette. The kangaroo was cooked wonderfully, and the croquette was delicious. The kangaroo pie was a bit small, and could have done with more filling, as it felt like I was mostly eating pastry. Fries were amazing although too salty after a while. Overall, excellent pub food.
Best steak in Melbourne, best kangaroo in Melbourne and a nice relaxed atmosphere. I just wish they'd open a little bit earlier than 3pm during the week as I need my steak earlier than that! But well worth the wait for a later lunch. Keep up good work guys and girls!
Came back here last weekend and had a great time. The calamari was delicious and the steak was a perfect medium rare. Would've been nicer if the staff had turned on the outside heating at the start, but all the food and wine kept us warm in the end.
After eating here for first time I completely understand the rating and why it is full on a Monday night!! Delicious, affordable, relaxed and generous portions. We had Parma and 500gram porterhouse! Will be back for sure, can't beat good old pub grub!!!!
Been going here for years now, and thought these guys definitely deserve a review. Great place to hang with friends, grab a nice feed and a beer. My personal favourite for the last couple of years is the chicken parma with roo meat! Huge serving with perfect parma, chips and salad. The specials are also worth a try! Keep up the good work.
Great food which you'd be paying top dollar for if you were at a gastropub. Had pork belly, and for around $25 or so I got a beheamoth of a piece which was crispy on top, delicious and moist underneath and accompanied by creamy, luscious mash. My mates were similarly impressed with their meals. Service is ok, as you pay at bar. Overall - very, very good.
Wow, I am impressed! Even though I read the good reviews, I still thought this would be the 'crazy' Aussies and their pubs. But no, this place actually does good food. We had the lamb shoulder (for 2-3 people), a whole snapper and the chicken parma. Snapper didn't have much flavour, but sauce and veggies were great so just dipped the fish in the sauce. Chicken parma was pretty good, with nice thin fries and garden salad. Lambshoulder was amazing!! Took the leftovers of the lamb home and made the most delicious curry with it the next day! Only downside was the toasted bread tht went with the lamb. Fennel, fennel seed and toasted buckwheat salad was nice as well. That really didn't add anything at all. Thy could've been more creative, or even just add chips. Desserts were good too. Service was ok. They don't do table service, which I suppose is normal for a pub.
Amazing pub with a cracking menu. I have now been a number of times and on each occasion, the food has hit the mark. I can highly recommend the parma with Kangaroo topping or the Kangaroo fillets. Both meals were amaze
Excellent food at good prices (duck breast on quinoa and fig salad, gnochi with fresh peas), great ambiance and beer selection. Highly recommended. Get off (pricey) Brunswick St and get down here.
One of my favorite pubs in Melbourne, hands down. Hard to fault.....great staff, chilled out atmosphere and one of the best parmas you will eat. Pub done right.
a great place! fab beers, wine, and the food....food is amazing. recommendations: the southern fried chicken burger and the chicken parma are both out of this world. For tourist they can try the parma with kangaroo instead of ham, or there is a 'kanaga-ruban' meal which people rave about. The specials are always top notch quality as well.
Best pub in Melbourne! The bar staff make this beautiful building into their front room. They look after their patrons and visitors like old friends. And yet you have space to chat, muse and catch with old friends.
A Fitzroy institution!
Gotta say it's a pretty cool vibe here. But other than that thought the food was prettt average. Place is dingy inside for sure but the outdoor part is cool. Had a burger which was prettt av. The parma looked awesome and everyone was getting that. Overall though it's ok nothing to write home about.
Great food, good micro-brews. Classic pub atmosphere. Parma the top 5 in Melbourne. Not just classic pub grab they branch out and 9 out of 10 times nail it.
My parents think the interior is "grungey" so maybe steer clear for high-falutin' fools, but for anyone else I think the Napier has the best pub meals in Fitzroy. I love this place as the food is excellent quality, great value and deeeeelicious! Good staff, good patrons, other than a nicer bathroom there's nothing else I could want. Please never never never rip out the old moldings just to replace it with glass and chrome. The "dingey-ness" is part of it's charm, a reminder of all the people who have eaten, drank and lived in this venue over the years. PS. I don't eat meat but have it on good authority the roo is delicious and a great idea for taking tourist friends
Great Fitzroy pub! The food is simple and delicious. No trendy foams or emulsions, just honest grub in large portions that tastes great. Not many people like eating roo, but the peppered kangaroo fillets will change people's minds. Huge range of beer and wine, and the specials menu is always changing.

I really like the pork belly, smooth and crispy on top.. well done. Come with a nice sweet potato smash, good combination. Next time I will try the Kangaroo
The meals here are huge & also quality. They do mainly Aussie meals so good for taking friends from overseas.
Relaxed dining hall as well & beers on tap. Great place
I'll tell you what's good about the Napier Hotel - Everything. I think I can say it's the best Aussie food pub I've been to, all the meals are absolutely delicious. Lately I tried the roast pork belly - outstanding. The pepper-crusted roo fillets are absolutely great, the parma is one of the best in town in my humble opinion. If you feel hungry and wanna take the challenge, try yourself on the Bogan burger. Litterally a mountain of food. My advice is do not start by the wedges :) Other dishes I tried there are the chicken burger, goat curry and lamb pie - out of control!! Never disappointed.
To try out urgently
Best Parma in melbourne (the one with the roo) I don't know why I'm writing this. It's always packed and now I'm just contributing more. Oh well. It is damn good.
Expensive Delicious Habit.

One of my work friends has moved onto greener pastures, so we headed to the Napier for a team lunch. When someone new joins the team, they're initiated by tackling the 'Bogan Burger'- a mammoth of a meal! I haven't tackled it myself due to my vego status.
Walked in without booking on a Fri night, unsurprisingly it was packed. We found a spot at a bar and shortly after dinner arrived we were able to secure a table. My friends shared the kilo of mussels which were delicious, but missing quite a few mussels from the shells. Hubby had the parma and it was perfectly good, and I wasn't so hungry, so ordered calamari and chips for everyone to share. The calamari entree was the size of a main - much more elaborate than I had expected, and the bowl of chips (french fry style) was gargantuan. Great value, food came in a reasonable time given how busy the place was. Will definitely return.

Came in here after being recommend both the burger and the parma.
A friend and I decided to split the bogan burger and a parma. As neither of us have had smoked kangaroo on the parma, we decided to try that. The food came out and the portions were massive, you could easily split the bogan burger with two people.
We both thought the bogan burger was good, but nothing that we would go out of the way for. Surprisingly all the ingredients in it work, maybe because they are all normally delicious? It was a struggle to eat, as we couldn’t actually fit the whole thing in our mouth, but this is to be expected. The wedges were massive, probably the biggest I’ve ever seen.
The Parma was absolutely delicious, up there with the best I’ve had in Melbourne. Smoked Kangaroo is definitely a win, more places should do it. Would have preferred thicker chips, but the side salad was really good with the feta.
Decor in here is also cool.
This place is 10/10. $25 for a pana and in my option it's the best Parma I've ever had and now I can't move!!! Friends ordered the burgers and have started making claims that its the best burgers in Melbourne! I'll let you decide.. But a great pub with a great vibe! Highly recommend if your in the Fitzroy area.
Got dragged here a few months back for a group catchup, but wow was I surprised!!!
I was told to get the peppered kangaroo so I did! 3 perfectly cooked roo fillets served on a bed of shoe string fries smothered in a Béarnaise sauce!!! 👌👌👌👌 even the salad was great haha (rocket and feta)
I have already been back 3 times since 😎
Favourite pub in Melbourne. Best veggie burger and excellent beer selection on tap. Staff are really nice and courteous too. Great on a winter's night too when the fire's going.
My favourite place in Melbourne for mid-week dinner!! Great food and wine. A brilliant pub with no nonsense. Lots of local beers and whiskey!!!
I've been a few times and always enjoyed it. Great pub food, especially kangaroo and chicken parma, and good beers. Casual service. It's located between Fitzroy and Collingwood, best spot!
Took my British cousin to Napier Hotel to try out their kangaroo steak. Made a booking just in case it gets busy. We were brought to our table but wasn't informed how to order nor did we get any menu whatsoever. We have been to other pubs before so we know orders are normally taken at the counter, but you should still tell your customers. So after 10minutes, we got up and found our way to some menus. We ordered a kangaroo steak, scotch fillet and pork belly. Cousin also got herself a Melbourne Bitter for the local flavour. My pork belly is very yum despite the not so crispy skin. Steak was nothing to rave about provided its quality, but it was cooked well. Roo steak was good too, but was a bit tooooo peppery. Overall a decent meal for pub food, but probably not somewhere I will return to.
Nice place where you can meet the real australian crowd! Food is good too and the selection of beers is large and they are all yummy!!
I find it hard to resist ordering a parma at a pub. Though not quite a the level of the Parma Daze folk, I've wrestled my way though my fair share of parmas since moving to Melbourne. At the Napier, I stayed traditional (hubby had the kangaroo) and was not disappointed. Chicken that tastes like chicken (not always the case with parmas), excellent toppings and totally man sized. Lovely pub, helpful staff and frisky patrons (hubby was hit on at the bar). it's easy to feel loved up at the Napier.
What an absolute gem the Napier is. All of the things about the archetypal 'local' distilled: great decor, efficient staff, superb food and drink. We've been back again and again - there's nowhere I'd rather be on a chilly Winter day in Melbourne (or a roasting Summer one for that matter!).
A genuine classic. The pub by which all others should be judged.
Awesome parma... if a little too big! Great fries and nice, simple salad. Friendly and helpful bar staff with a sense of humour - they clearly like working there. Can't go wrong.
Who can't love the napier, The home of the Bogan Burger and Roo Parma. I was skeptical when they were renovating that the place was going to loose some of the character or charm but it's still a winner with quality pub grub and frothies.
Napier Hotel = best food ever!!!! best kangaroo steaks ever! Mussels & desert: pudding & ice cream!!!!! Amazing!!!! Any Meal is very big. Good to share! I recommend this place for more 20 people and everyone are back from there like from. The haven! :) great pleasure! We were here 4 times and any time is hard to believe how amazing is this food here !!!!! Thank you for the people from kitchen who are doing amazing job !!!
Mouthwatering and great atmosphere!. Best roo fillet ever had in Australia SO FAR!
Parmasofmelbourne. Ever since we began our quest to find Melbourne's best parma, The Napier hotel has probably been one of the most suggested places for us to try and boy am i sad that it took us this long to head down. This place is golden inside and out. Classic Old style aussie pub. Walking in, the place was ramming with only 1 table available. We quickly snatched it and took a seat. I must say we all had high expectations due to how many times the Napier has popped up in our feed.
The night was off to a good start. Parmas rolled out in 15 minutes which was very quick due to how busy the place was.
Never judge a book by its cover but the moment they hit the table, we knew this was gonna be one of the best parmas to date.
All round, the birds were big and thick.
The chicken was fresh and juicy as could be. Crumbing was a bit soggy at times but did not phase us one bit.
The first thing we all noticed was the napoli sauce. Holy Moley, this is definitly the best napoli we have had to date. Very close competitor with portland hotel but i think this one topped it by just a tad. We hadn’t tasted anything like it really. It had a distinct sweetness to it which was just incredible. A definite sign of fresh homemade napoli. Best of all, there was plenty of it.
The cheese was their house blend mix which was quite tasty.
The ham also hit the spot perfectly. A good smokey slice of ham always compliments the parma well.
Now to the most bittersweet part of the dish; the shoe string fries. The fries in general were good. They could of done with some more seasoning but they were fries done well. But in our opinion fries do not go with parmas at all. We think they are just a mess and difficult to eat, especially when they are served under the parma. Nothing beats classic beer battered chips.
The salad was easily the best we have had. A simple but very tasty rocket salad infused with grated feta.
We suggest you chuck the Napier hotel on your to try list asap. Overall the parma was one of the best we have had so far. The chicken, napoli and salad were honestly top class. We would happily pay $24 for a parma here again. We already can’t wait to knock back another parma here.
8.5/10
Many years ago I had the opportunity to sample the ridiculous “Bogan Burger” at the Napier Hotel with a few mates. My recollections of that evening are a little cloudy, so when the opportunity arose to give the bogan another crack I leapt at the chance. I had been studying all day in the State Library and felt that a burger would be a just reward for such a hard days work. Jo was also keen for a burger, so we made the decision to catch up in the Smith street area not far from where she works. Once I remembered that the Napier was just around the corner, the decision was easy – Bogan Burger time. We arrived at the Napier at about 6:30pm on a Thursday night – the place was packed and all the tables were either full or reserved. Thankfully one of the staff members said we could take one of the tables that had been booked for 6pm but had no-show
The Napier is a typical Fitzroy local, good beer, good wine, good food with a nice atmosphere. It’s marked by a big Melbourne Bitter logo above the door so you know where it is.
The Bogan Burger once held acclaim for being Melbourne's biggest burger, whether or not somebody else has superseded it I'm not sure. But this burger is not just ridiculously big, it's also ridiculously tasty. Wedged inbetween two slices of thick Turkish bread, there's (are you ready?): a steak, a chicken schnitzel, bacon, egg, cheese, onion, tomato, pineapple, beetroot, a few strands of rocket, and the topping on this burger cake, a potato cake. An
I looked at our map and saw a bit of a gap in the Fitzroy region, I also remembered that the Napier was in Fitzroy, and they offered up a parma that we had been meaning to try for a very long time Still not convinced I turned to Cleverbot , the website that lets you chat to an artificial intelligence… hopefully he could shed some light on the situation. Well… that was pointless. So we decided on the Napier, loaded up the Parma Bus, and headed to Fitzroy. There was a smaller group this week so I decided not to make a booking… BIG mistake - this (rather large) pub was packed
I was glad that they like the atmosphere and it was exactly what they sought for on a Friday night. It wasn't loud and noisy or beaming with music, it was the good old traditional pub. Just you and your mates, with lots and lots of beers. Bogan Burger, $19 Lo and behold, the infa
...it appeared before me – peppered kangaroo fillets with a blob of béarnaise sauce atop steamed greens and a salad on the side.

Excellent pub fare. A great pub with a really impressive menu and a good array of beers on tap. The Bogan Burger is the most famous menu item and certainly worth doing once. Other menu items such roo cutlets and other burgers are excellent. Certainly one of Melbourne's best pub meals.
With the Freshest Produce... Its bound to be GREAT.... Have a look at the pictures.... It tells the Story... What a fab 2000 and NOW Foody HEAVEN....
Great pub!. Best steak I've had in years .. don't understand the negative posts about the service I thought it was fine. Only issue is getting a table (recommend booking ahead)
Will be back.
Group of 20. Wonderful food generous serves will definitely be back
Warm and cozy with tasty food. I've always had good food here, but book a table if you're going for dinner as the place is so popular it's always packed. I also enjoy the Napier for a quiet afternoon beer and the heated side courtyard is fantastic for this. The staff are always friendly. They have a decent selection of vegetarian options too.
Bogantastic. Hadn't been here for years till last week. Nice cosy spot for a winter mid-week catch-up with friends & not too hipster. Heard about this bogan burger and had to try it. Well, it was big and ridiculous, but is big enough? Well, not that much, steak, fried chicken, potato cake, egg, beetroot. That's fine but the steak was a bit of a cheap cut and chewy which ruined the experience. I think a $24 burger deserves a better cut of steak.
My 2nd favourite pub in Melbourne. Food is brilliant, as is the setting. A must try.
These guys have perfected comfort food. Great beer on tap, awesome atmosphere... Can spend hours here :) Try the burgers!
Not a gastro pub! Yay!. It's so hard to find a good classic pub in the city. The Napier has great food at very good prices. No pokies is a plus. Good staff and friendly locals. Highly recommended.
A complete gem. A real pub with beer garden and no pokies. Great vibe, prices and food.
Best. Kangaroo. Ever. Wine isn't great. But worth it for the kangaroo fillets- my friends and I try to go here a few times a year for it.
Great Food, Good Pub.. If your hungry this has got to be one of the best places to get a good hearty pub meal. The portions are huge and although its not the cheapest place to eat you can't complain once you are tucking in. The Bogan Burger has got to be one of the biggest, baddest (in a good way!) burgers I have ever had. If your only slightly peckish make sure you find a friend of 2 to share this one with!
The place has a good selection of beer and wine and I love that it has that traditional pub feel.
Great beer, rudeboy pilsner, great food, chicken Parma, great atmosphere, chunky outdoor furniture and fake grass seating out the front. Top notch pub fair without being wanky. A bit disappointed that the Caesar salad was nowhere to be seen but great food and drinks at great prices
Best pub in Melbourne hands down. The staff are brilliant, food is great as is the atmosphere. This is how a great pub does it.
Visited on a Sunday night. Great atmosphere, pleanty of tables inside and out. Good pub food at standard prices. Will be back.
Huge Parma which could almost feed two which made for good value for money. But honestly wasn't the best pub food. It was nice but nothing special
Pub Grub Perfection. This is my 'I feel like some pub grub' go-to place. Excellent pub, good selection of beers on tap and decent wine list. Food is hearty, wholesome and very generous. Excellent value. The parma is always good. The bogan burger and I are old frenemies.
They do pub food really really well. You don't leave hungry after eating here!
Lives up to all the hype. A must do for pub fans.
The best pub grub in Melbourne. Never had a bad meal and they always have awsome beers on tap!!!
Love this place. Good eats and good drinks. My first experience was on a Sunday afternoon after doing some shopping in the area. Very hearty and tasty food with good serving sizes. The atmosphere as well as the staff is very pleasant.
Met my husband here 17 years ago and still yet to have a bad experience here. Love the food decor and staff.
Absolutely love the Napier and I'm not your average pub kinda girl. Quality of the meals are fantastic. You get quality and quantity. Real old skool pub with soul. Must try's include the kangaroo fillets - personal favourite, the bogan burger - perfect to share and they do a mean curry. Can't beat the price and can't get enough of this place!!!
Great menu. Plenty on offer here. A very welcoming venue that is cosy and difficult to leave once you're there. Portions are ridiculously mammoth and the quality of the food doesn't disappoint.
Fantastic. The interior of the Napier Hotel is so welcoming. Crackling fire, lots of seating options, absence of wankers. The meals are incredibly priced for the size and quality. I had a special: corned beef with mash and cabbage a mustard sauce. It was absolutely enormous ($22) and absolutely delicious. Can't wait to return to try more of the menu.
My most favourite pub in Melbourne, I have eaten here every week for the past 3 years. Wonderful food and wonderful staff. Thanks guys
Ripping Parma, get on board if you're in the area
Best kangaroo meat I've tasted in Melbourne. Friendly crowd and staff. Definitely will come back again.
What a pub. Amazing food, you really do get what you pay for!
The bogan burger?!?! What an amazing advention :) No way I could eat all that but some serious thumbs up!
Staff we're nice, will be back and will be bringing my friends :)
Tasty. Great lunch venue.... Will be back.
Such amazing food full of flavour! Best winter food such big portions and good value, delicious shanks and mash with onions and herby sauce
To try some burgers. Even if they are unsophisticated, the burgers are different and good
Pub atmosphere
The ultimate veggie burger. This is where to go for a great veggie burger including generous amounts of avocado, relish and salad. It is good to have a dairy free (vegan) option without having to annoy the kitchen staff. French fries are everything they should be and served with salad that is better than most side accompaniments.
Did not hear from my male counterpart for a good 15 minutes as he devoured his pork and chorizo burger, so happy times all round. Will head back again also to investigate the wine list further
A nice surprise. We visited The Napier on Sunday evening at 6:30pm for dinner. It was humming and had a great ambience.
My husband ordered the kangaroo salad and I ordered the barramundi and chips/ salad. Both were excellent. Actually, it was much better than I had expected from a pub. We followed the main meals with a shared 5 Spice pannacotta - delicious.
Service was a little slow, but the delicious food made up for the time waiting.
Also very kid friendly.
We shall be back, most definitely!
Have been here many time over the last few years and always love the food - tonight one of our party had a family emergency and we needed to go to the hospital... They provided a full refund for all 6 of us even though the food had already been made
Next level. Truly next level pub grub, well done.
Kangarooooooo. Mmm... 5th time I've had the kangaroo fillets at the Napier and they're still bloody amazing. I'm scared to try another dish incase it's not as good!
I love this place. As a frequent customer of the Napier I am always delighted with the service and the food. Lovely bar staff who are more than happy to have a chat,it to me is a place I can go and feel welcome and enjoy a modern twist on traditional pub food. Best pub in Australia in my opinion!!
Always a classic. Thos pub has a great classic pub menu and a pretty impressive specials board as well, also very reasonably prices for large portion meals, highly recommend!
More expensive than other pubs but you get a huge meal that is tasty and filling. We had the Bogan Burger which was a real heart starter, my boyfriend enjoyed it but couldn't finish the tasty wedges which he had as a side. The steak sandwich was great and I was suprised when I could actually taste the blue cheese. We wil be back.
Best kangaroo in Melbourne
Love it
We loved the Napier Hotel! Awesome atmosphere and delicious food. The parma is an old favourite but it was better than most. It was deceivingly large and achieved both quantity and quality. I thought the Smoked Kangaroo salad achieved the same. It was a first for me but the rocket, feta, almonds and of course the kangaroo went very well together. The kangaroo was a new and enjoyable experience for me, and especially mixed with a salad it made it a refreshing meal to have on a 40+ degree day!
Solid performer - if you can get a table. Generally a great counter meal. I once had a raw burger but they were apologetic and reduced the bill - note to others, this is how to appease a customer! They do a good rotating specials menu and the curries are always a treat. Superb service but book at peak times - can be hard for walk-ins to get a table.
Loved it. Steak cooked perfectly, chips crunchy and hot , and salad fresh and crisp.
Highly recommend.
Nice buzzing Friday night.

I've been too scared to try a bogan burger. But the chicken Parma with roo on top is the best Parma I have ever eaten. I'm not exaggerating.
Parma with roo is one of the best things ever! The Napier is the perfect little pub.
One of Melbourne's Best. This place is becoming a bit of common occurance. Went there a few weeks back with some mates and we've been there every week since! awesome busy-warm vibe. Staff are fairly friendly AND THE FOOD. Its a big feed and its fairly cheap too but most importantly it tastes great. Check out thier tap beers too.
Grab a pint of Hargreaves ESB if its still there :) thank me later.
Great food, value and service. Headed to the Napier hotel on a Sunday night for dinner. There was a great choice of food between the specials and the set menu. My partner had the roo and i had the veggie burger. Both were excellent. We shared a sticky date pudding for dessert. Staff were also very friendly. Would definitely recommend the place.
Big and Tasty. Laid back atmosphere and really friendly staff. Went here last wednesday for dinner, had the Chicken Parma with Kangaroo fillets. The portions were HUGE and excellent quality. Juicy chicken, crispy coating, and nice flavour in the marinara sauce. Everyone at my table was very happy with their food, though most of them are Napier regulars. Definitely worth checking out! I'd recommend going early as it does get busy.
Great feeling, great food, great look. Great. After walking out of the Builders Arms very disappointed, I came to the Napier. WAYY better.
This is one of the best pubs I've been too! It was full with no where to sit at 7:30 on a Thursday night! We finally got a seat and I had the Parma with kangaroo on top instead of ham and my friend had the peppered kangaroo fillets, both were massive portions and really yum! Also there is a wide selection of beers and cider on tap. The staff are also very friendly and overall it really is an awesome hidden away pub the everyone should go to! I know I'll be back!
A real classic pub with great prices. Good variety of beers on tap and lots of wines by the glass. Standard menu options (Parma, fish, steak etc) with a few specials thrown in. We had the Parma topped with kangaroo. Generous servings and pretty good quality. Casual setting that's not pretentious. Buzzing atmosphere and friendly service. All you want in a pub in a good location!
Wonderful eclectic inner city pub. Great selection of beers on tap, although one British ale would have been appreciated. Simple, hearty menu obscures the fact that the meals are tip top quality, enormous portions, and reasonably priced. The plough mans lunch - which varies according to what's around - was delicious, but in my view prosciutto and Brie should have been ham and cheddar. Lamb shanks and mash were to die for, as was the huge bowl of honemade potato and leek soup. In short, strongly recommended. If you're bothered by the rather slow service just enjoy the log fires and have another beer.
10/10. Faultless. Great specials. Plenty on the menu to please everybody. Prices good. Only trouble was finding a table!! (always sign of a good popular pub!)
Best pub in Melbourne! Great food, great service, great atmosphere... Love it
Great value for money! Great local pub!! Our group had the burgers, barramundi and steaks, no complaints all round. Thumbs up!!
Friendly staff. I had the roo steak and it was cooked perfectly. Great value for money.
Great food and wine but too noisy for older members of the party. A hidden (but well known) gem
Busy pub, great food. Bustling pub. Very busy on the Sunday night when we went. Had to wait over half an hour for our meals. The staff were nice enough. Some of the seating areas where quite dimly lit. I had the pumpkin, spinach, ricotta lasagne with a generous dollop of basil pesto and a rocket and parmesan salad - divine! The lasagne had delicious crispy edges. Our group also got the parma and the chicken burger which were apparently very tasty.
Great Winter Pub. Generous serves of some hearty home cooked pub food. Parma and Pie were delicious along with delicious beers on tap. Great atmosphere for a lazy Sunday rendezvous. A definite winner!
Kangaroo dish is THE BEST. Very busy and loud, but the kangaroo more than made up for it. i didn't order it but couldn't stop eating it off my husband's plate - so soft and perfectly flavoured. a little bit too hipster for my liking - noisy and pricey - but it's worth it!
Roo-magoo. Do yourself a favour. Go to this pub and eat the roo. A tastier national emblem animal you will never have.
BIG Feed!. If what you are after is a great pub meal.. look no further. Huge servings of well cooked food. I had the peppered kangaroo fillets and they were cooked to perfection! My friend had the parmy with kangaroo instead of ham.. and it too was tasty. Chips were crispy and tasty (as they should be) - and heaps of them - not just a few hiding under your parmy. There are lot's more menu items that I am keen to try. Big long tables makes it a perfect place for a big group too!
Amazing food! Had 9 people for a bday dinner, everyone loved their food! The Parma which was one of the best I've had. Porterhouse was delicious. Took a little while for food but it was busy. All in all I'll be coming back!
Good atmosphere, great service and okay food. I was blown away by how amazing the staff were. Although they were busy, they seemed very warm, accommodating and friendly. Food was pretty good and massive servings as well.
Hungry? Get there.. Everything about the place hits medium to high, nothing jumps out. But if you want a huge meal, get there. Was thrilled at the quantity. Enough said.
Ginormous portions that could be split between two of some damn tasty food. We had the kangaroo steaks and the bogan burger and both of them were really good. Very good value!
So good! Very relaxed and perfect for an afternoon of beers and a hearty meal for dinner. Staff were lovely and always wore a smile. I'll definitely be going back.
Mad tasty food that is so big it could feed a bus of skinny bitches for a month. Busy, laid back and awesome. The bogan burger will own you.
Great food and friendly staff. The only downer is that the dining room is ugly. They must have done a remoddle in the 90s so it has zero character. If you can avoid sitting there it is great
Do you want to go to heaven? Then order the peppered roo fillets. You won't regret it.
Nifty Napier!. Dined here with a couple of mates tonight and was not dissapointed! The dining room inside was a lovely room with a few small tables, and a few large communals. It was very busy, and we were lucky to snag a private table!
I decided to go with something off the specials menu, and went with the Nepalese Chicken Curry with Roti, mint yoghurt, pappadums, and coconut rice - this meal was stellar - the flavours in the curry were rich, and the roti was perfect!
My mates chose the parma - decent size! And the steak - cooked to perfection!
I will be back for sure - I'm keen to try the Peri Peri Chicken Burger - I think I'll pass on the bogan burger, but I think it's a great calling card for the Napier!
I was also impressed with the wine list, and the pricing - I noticed a bottle of Tasmanian Jansz Sparkling for around $45 which is about a $10 mark up from store prices. I went to a resturaunt the other night and they were flogging it for $65!
Beers were cold, and service was with a smile :)
I loved it! Heading back soon.
Great value. Went and had the 500g porterhouse steak. Was massive and cooked really well. My other friends meals looked great too! Would definitely come again.
500g worth of yummy goodness!. The 500g steak here is so good and worth the $25! My medium rare steak comes out perfect every time I order it. Comes with a mountain of chips and a side of salad. You don't have to go to a fancy steakhouse that rips you off - just come here!!!!!
Numero Uno. Best pub in Melbourne. Been going for a couple of years now. Old, original back street Fitzroy charm and atmosphere to the max. Ripper views of the grand old Town Hall compliment things. Good food. Quick service (Guy and the others behind the bar are great.) Fantastic for a Saturday afternoon with the tranny just listening to the races or watching the footy and reading the papers, yet still great as a cool evening place to meet up with friends without having to endure any pretentiousness.
Grouse. Get a bogan burger ! they're massive and sooooooo tasty.
wont need to eat till dinner the next day if you destroy one of these bad boys. apart from that beast all the other food at the napier is generously portioned, fresh and well cooked. be patient with the staff because they're running a very busy kitchen, on a busy night like a friday or saturday expect a fair wait for your food, but once it arrives you'll forget about the wait. lovely cosy venue too ! big fan
Bogan Burger and a jug of beer please..!. I have only eaten a bogan burger with a jug of beer each time I've been and it is lovely. Scotch fillet, chicken schnitzel, potato cake plus all the trimmings. The potato cake is the real stand out for me - so unnecessary so decadent so unhealthy - I love that it is there.
I would be happy if this pub was my local.
Love it. Great atmosphere, good selection of beer and cider. Interesting food. Never been dissapointed here, the braised pork with roasted peach is lovely. Also the bogan burger makes an interesting meal to soak up the alcohol.
Amazing Steak. Wow, my first visit and I'm in love! I had to restrain myself from picking up that steak and chomping down. They leave the fat on, which can lead to breaking a slight sweat when cutting, but it is worth the sweat. The fat melts into the meat keeping is deliciously tender on the inside and beautifully charred on the outside. I wish this was my local haunt!
I will be back!!!
The Napier hotel has one of the best burgers I have ever tasted in my life, it was a burger which exhibited a different approach to a traditional popular salad, the chicken Caesar, the tastes of this burger was absolutely delitful, full of flavor. The staff at the Napier were friendly and respectful, definately some where I will go again.
Delicious Kangaroo Fillets. Having never eaten Kangaroo fillets I decided to try them at The Napier. Absolutely delicious, tender and cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a try. My friends had the Black Angus steak, which was enormous, and the Kingfish which was very tasty and well presented.
All round, the food was very good. The staff at the Napier are very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it highly.
Best pub in melbourne. Great staff. food and atmosphere! get in early if you want a seat.
Food is really good. Great setting in a good old proper pub. The way all pubs should be. Had the steak and it we perfect, came with home style wedges all for $26. Can't recommend it highly enough
It was big.. I recently dined here for a casual late lunch on a Sunday. It was very quiet but still had a great atmosphere.
I ordered the Aged Porterhouse steak ($25) which I expected the standard 300g sized cut. But out it came it had to be at least 400g, it was huge! The mushroom sauce was great and accompanied both the steak and chips well, though the chips were simple crinkle cut compared to the Bogan Burger which had 'home style' wedges.
I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like during the evening and will definitely come back in the future
Could be a bit more polished. It's Tuesday evening and Napier Hotel has an admirable number of patrons turning up for dinner on what is usually a quiet day for most others. We read about the big meals, witnessed the hotel's popularity and hence eagerly awaited our meals to see it for ourselves.
We gave the specials a miss and went for two of the mainstays - the perennial favourite Chicken Parmigiana and the Roo Fillet. Verdict? They were nice, but could have been better, especially the Roo. Both dishes were flavoursome, the Parmagiana sure hit the spot. But beyond flavour, they could do with better presentation, even if not for the fact that stacking the meats on top of the fries meant some soggy fries underneath. The cucumber and dill salad that came with both meals seemed an odd inclusion as well as the flavours did not match. Main downer for me was that the fillet was sliced up even prior to cooking. I'm sure meat enthusiasts would also disapprove.
It's not necessarily the best pub meal out there, but kudos to Napier for trying something different and also keeping prices of the beverages low. Where else will you find a glass of Scotchmans Hill Pinot Noir at just $7.50? Oh, we had no trouble finishing our meals.
Only meal I can't finish!. Potentially the best pub food in Melbourne! Simply amazing Parma's and Steak - awesome service - great crowd - great beer - GREAT PUB! 10/10
Big fat chips. I go teased by a waitress for not beaning able to finish my chips one time.
Seriously, the servings are huge.
Vegetarian meals are pretty good, the big chips are big and tasty.
Beer prices are standard and there are plenty of places to sit and chat. The music is at that just right level so you can hear the people you're hanging out with.
Good food and great value. I've had many meals at the Napier and with the sole exception of the last time I went (my peppered roo fillet was overcooked to something like well done, a cardinal sin with kangaroo), the food is always great. The specials are often interesting and, from what I've tried, yet to disappoint. Serves are big and well priced - I always think the Napier is exceptionally good value.
Seriously amazing meals, in a true old pub style. Massive serves, and amazing fresh produce! Try the chicken schnitzel with smoked kangaroo! :-) five stars!
Like Roo? Like The Napier. If you are like me and love kangaroo, you cannot go past the Napier. The smoked roo salad is a personal favourite, with fetta, cherry tomatoes, leafy greens, etc. The peppered kangaroo fillets with bernaise sauce is equally delectable and always cooked to perfection. And the chicken parma with smoked roo instead of ham (although ham is also available) is excellent.
But, if you're not up for a full-size pub meal, try the calamari hoops. They come with a salad, and for $8.50, it is a cheap but filling (and oh-so-delicious) alternative.
There are also weekly specials, so check the blackboards to see if anything tickles your fancy.
The staff are friendly and courteous and the atmosphere is relaxed. It can be hard to find a table sometimes, but don't let that deter you (it's the perfect excuse to have a drink before dinner).
Highly recommended.
Huge portions! There were 6 of us and nobody cleared their plate. Good looking bar staff, great value. I'll ask for no fries next time. Vegie burger that my friend had was dry, that was the only negative.
PORTION CONTROL?. Food is fantastic, with a very unique menu (camel steak?), but they need to give just a bit less for the same price. Yes, I know I don't have to eat it, but then I feel wasteful.
Damn satisifying meals to price ratio.
Fantastic pub food at really reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
Great pub meals, relaxed atmosphere, generous portions and well priced. One of the best pub meals avaliable in Melbourne
Don't know how I've not posted a review yet, but have come here several times over the past few years and it's really a great atmosphere for catching up with friends. Also fantastic pub food and if you like or keen to try kangaroo, probably the best choice in Melbourne.
This is an amazing pub! It's like the God of Melbourne pubs. The Food, the staff and selection of drinks was epic!
The environment is cosy with fires burning inside and tables to fit groups upto 10+.
If you don't spend a Sunday arvo here with you crew, you're seriously wasting your time and money wherever else you decided to be!
I live on the West side of Melbourne and I'd seriously travel here for a Sunday session at least 3 times a month!
Nice and cozy pub, excellent ambience, great selections of beers, portion is good, loved the calamari, only the seafood marinara can be better if it comes with a thicker sauce and more white wine. Will be back for sure!
Always, always delicious. Lovely staff, great vibe, great portion sizes of well seasoned well cooked everything. Don’t think there’s a bad dish on the menu. Kangaroo salad is a winner and the steak sandwich is just what you want. Specials are always super tasty. Can’t say enough about the great food and really lovely helpful staff.
There are many great gastro pubs in Melbourne and then there is the Napier. The absolute benchmark for food served in a great pub. Their standard menu has great burgers and parmas, then the extensive specials board really shows how talented the kitchen staff are. Super friendly staff at the front, make the experience impressive everytime. If you love great Melbourne pubs, do yourself a favour and go.
Edit July 2022: The Napier continues to make very high level restaurant food with superb creativity. If you appreciate impressive food, just go.
The best kangaroo steak!! tender and full of flavor the chicken pharma was amazing and the staff super friendly the grilld sandwich wasn't my favourite but was OK.
This place is wonderful. I was taken here for Mother's Day 2022 and the ambience is warm. Wonderful helpful staff, great vibe, delicious food. I had the beef burger and it absolutely delicious.
Everything is cooked to perfection and prices of drinks and food are very affordable. Family and kid friendly place, will definitely be back. Can’t say enough about the great food and really lovely helpful staff.
Epic pub. Bang on food. Great atmosphere good attentive staff ensuring a good time. Excellent menu and options for Vegans that actually sounded tempting (just not tempting enough to not choose steak). Great in winter, as the main dining room has a hearty fireplace keeping everybody toasty. Definitely worth a visit and a meal
