Review Rue De Creperie - Fitzroy

Stuff ToClutterYourHouse
The salted caramel crepe is to die for. It is amazing and so delicious . I would have two if it wasn't for the fact that we had a big dinner before. Next time go there to eat and have dessert first then move on to main somewhere else. Great service and very quick. Will be back for sure.

Crepes !! Who doesn't love crepes... They're done pretty well here with amazing selection of vegan options too for the plant based people out there :) It's a cute as date spot for anyone that is looking to take their missus or boy there
William Burrows
A really lovely creperie, all of my group had different crepes and all of them were really fresh and delicious. They also offer vegan crepes which were fantastic. I went with the strawberry crepe and it was loaded with strawberries, ice cream and chocolate sauce. Really delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Andy Miller
Great selection of crepes - plus an extensive selection of vegan options on the menu. The staff were friendly and helpful. Recommend the salted caramel (sans banana).

If I could give 6 stars, I would. But I can't. Google needs to add another star. Always a friendly service with a smile and delicious crepes!! Edit: Another day, another review, another 5 stars if I could. Updated menu allows you to create your own crepes. Always friendly service. Love it.

Delicious savoury crepe, where you could taste each fresh ingredient wrapped inside. Good selection of vegetarian and meat galettes. The crepe itself was made well with the right level of crispness. The banana and cinnamon milkshake tasted like real banana. Excellent chai latte and very kind and friendly service.

As a sweets addict, this place is irreplaceable. Thin crepes with beautiful aromas and a large selection of tastes. I'm a customer now for almost 11 months and the taste is still as good as I first got onto it by random luck. Totally amazing menu and as a coffee conosseur the lattes just hit the spot. Will recommend this great HOT SPOT for everyone who is fussy with sweets and not just any sweets.

Great place to go to try different types of crepes, lots of variety to choose from but very filling if you have an a meal beforehand. We had the pear crepe which they put the warm pear slices inside and a cool caramelised pear on top with some ice cream. Really yum
Carina Sellwood
Yum yum yum. Had the vegan strawberry heaven and vegan banana split. So delicious. I think this will become a regular spot on my trips down to Melbourne! Thank you for offering such a substantial vegan menu!

Absolutly love this place. Always the freshest ingredients and super tasty. Would recommend to family and freinds but I worry that when the word gets out I wont get a seat in this little hole in the wall joint ;)
Anna Manocchio
Defenelly I recommend this please! Amazing crepes with fresh ingredients and professional services! There are so many choosing for all tastes even gluten free! I need come back and try more crepes!
Bassam Chakelli
Love this place...your staff, food...and the vegan menu r all awesome! ! Thank you for adding the vegan menu°
Adryan Scicluna
Awesome place great vibe. Good choice on menu! Word needs to get out for this kind of food! The vegan choices are convincingly not obvious! French flavor on Brunswick Str, your search stops here!! Merci!!
Aaron Pino
Loved this place. Our 2 year old was not being cooperative but the guy (maybe owner) was so accommodating, he entertained her and was very relaxed, allowed us to actually relax for a bit too. Crepes were super tasty.

Worst crepe and staff I've ever experienced. Went there on Vegan Day Out for a simple lemon/sugar crepe for which we firstly got send away to wait unreasonably long. Secondly we got charged $11 per crepe which clearly is incorrect as the website states $9 and we got take-away. Lastly, crepes just tasted like flour. Absolutely bland!

The best I have ever had! The crapes here are amazing! Wish you guys would open up shop in Sydney!

New owners and even better crepes than before !!! More fruit and more Nutella = YUM !!!! A vegan and Gluten free heaven ✨

Off the menu Paper thin wafer crèpes were presented to us topped with coconut icecream, ladies finger sliced banana, & a dollop of zesty lemon curd and generously finished with a drizzle of house made chocolate sauce. Wow!!!! Our 2nd serve were with fresh strawberries, fluffy wipped cream & an anglaise type of sauce drizzled over the icecream that just perfectly balanced out the whole dish & again finished w choc sauce and light dusting of snow sugar Mmmm!!! Thank you Rue de Creperie for your awsome service, the perfect lattè's & attention to detail you sure won us over Will be coming back for more!!!

Unmissable food. Made with love and definitely delicious. Great selection catering for all preferences. Value for money and the drinks are just as good. Thank you for the genuine hospitality

We were craving something sweet and randomly found this creperie.

Menu included sweet and savory crepes. Impressively they cater for many allergies/dietary requirements. Crepes are automatically gluten free. And majority of crepes have vegan options (with surcharge).

We ordered the Pear Belle and Banana Split. They were very open to substituting elements of the crepe contents due to nut allergies.

The crepes appeared beautifully presented and generous serving sizes. The crepes themselves were a bit thicker than I’d prefer (maybe due to the gluten free recipe?).

The Pear Belle was very impressive visually and consisted of an entire poached pear, ice cream with crepe. But the poached pear wasn’t fully cooked (required a fork to hold down and knife to cut/saw into the center) and the seasoning was only lightly infused with cinnamon (hadn’t absorbed into the pear yet). But was still tasty.

The Banana split was a traditional and indulgent favorite. And perfectly hit the spot.

Overall great dessert place, which caters for all dietary requirements/allergies

They gave me a pear crepe they just put in a microwave and put a scoop of ice cream on top, that’s all you need to know. Do not recommend....

I tried a vegan crepe I can't remember the name of, had chocolate spread and nuts and caramel and ice-cream and it was the most glorious thing I have ever eaten in my entire life and nothing else is that good ever I was moaning the whole time eating it all other food is crap in comparison thanks for ruining food for me

Friendly service. Delicious crepes. Lots of interesting flavours to choose from, as well as simpler take-away options. This place is open until late on weekends so it is a great place to visit with friends! Lovely place to visit all round.
Quince And Cheese
Consistently good crepes, and vegan at that. Sweet, savoury, you can't go wrong. The only pic I could find from my visits is pretty shit, but I can barely bring myself to post a review without at least one photo, even if subpar. Fave dishes include the veggie veggie (pictured), salted caramel and banana split. Can also vouch for the sips of vegan milkshake that I've stolen off friends, although I don't think I could drink a whole one on my own. Saving my calories for the solid food stuff.

located Fitzroy , the small shop but u get your surprise that the food is amazing . The dining decoration is great . The food is quality and really really tasty . So can take a look , yes the price is reasonable. Fantastic ^^ thumbs up

I love this quirky French gem on Brunswick street. Forget late night kebabs, I’m all about the late night crêpes right here! With whimsical French melodies playing in the background, this place feels like you’re in another world. I’ve tried a few different crêpe creations including the Suzette (my fave), banana and Nutella, strawberry, ice cream and custard (pictured) and pear and ice cream (pictured). The menu also includes a variety of savoury crêpes, decadent beverages and gluten free options. The Buckwheat crêpes are delish!

I ordered the jambon galette which was ok. The dough was nice although it could be crispier. The inside fillings were fine and there were a lot of mushrooms but the ham wasn't so prominent. My friend ordered the vegan galette, and whilst I think it's great the place has so many vegan options, she wasn't the biggest fan of the vegan cheese in hers. Have been here before for their sweet crepes and they're not bad.
Habib
came to this little joint a while ago after seeing someone check themselves in this particular creperie. classy atmosphere for a crepe place which wasn’t too bad but let’s be honest, the crepe itself was exactly bomb. was overlooked and covered up by icing sugar and accompaniments. there’s better crepes out there.
H
Love the extensive vegan options. The Special (banana, strawberries, poached pear, drizzled with chocolate sauce) was delicious, the chocolate sauce in particular, was amazingggg.
The salted caramel was a bit too sweet and I couldn't detect any salt.
The veggie galette needs more seasoning, the mushroom and cheese was yummy.
Rachel Susan
Overall the crepes tasted delicious. They were quite crispy very hard to cut, they were more than happy to make replacement one's for us. But as I said were quite delicious. we ordered the strawberry crepes, the snickers crepes, and nice coffee.
Definitely worth the visit.
Linda
Deciding to grab dessert right after work here was the highlight of the night! Presentation was on point (of course snapchat worthy) and the crepes themselves were just sweet heaven! One tiny downside was that the crepes were a little bit too crispy making it difficult to cut through. But nonetheless my plate was almost squeaky clean after so that should indicate how impeccable the crepes were as well as the milkshakes! Staff were friendly and entertaining. It was either Daniel's Donuts run again or this after work and I'm glad we chose the latter for something different, will definitely be back!

Pear belle had run out so got the apple delight which was ok but wish it had more apple on top rather than just some inside, also didn't really like the honey with it. Loved the cinnamon tea never had one like that before. Would return and try other crepe flavours.
Mazaya Pramudita
Saw this creperie on our way to Gami Chicken & Beer and we had to come in. It's very homey and the servers are very nice and responsive. We ordered Salted Caramel Crepe, Nutella Crepe, and Tropical Treat Crepe. All tastes wondrous and the dough is just spot on. Would definitely come back here.
Gluten Free Feeds Melbourne
Love this place, I've been here a couple of times! There are ts of options, and it's the only place in Melbourne I've found that has gluten free crepes. Pictured is the banana split 😋
Rebekah Jade Culhane
Really delicious and simple crepes. Although not specifically on the menu, I ordered a crepe with nutella and strawberries. It was very delicious. The only thing that I will mention though is that there wasn't many strawberries.
The chef was playing a game with his friend when we arrived and would cook when an order came through. There was one waitress and she was friendly but seemed a little overworked as she was taking orders and cleaning up but it was apparent that she didn't have much time to clear the tables as many tables had empty plates on them.
The Gluten-Free Foodie
Great service and warm reception. The crepes are delicious and amazing for vegans/coeliacs. Love the range. Don't feel like I'm missing out on anything with the vegan options.

Went here with a friend for brunch one Sunday morning & I can not recommend this place enough! Friendly service✔️ Delicious crepes✔️ Amazing vegan options✔️ Reasonable $✔️ Honestly the owners were so incredibly kind, buckwheat crepes were flawless & not super filling being so light which was nice as I didn't feel heavy afterwards but fully satisfied my sweet cravings! The added zebra dream icecream, flaked almonds, strawberries & 'nutella' made the 'strawberry heaven' crepe 10/10! Friend got an apple cinammon crepe with maple syrup which she also said was delicious. The chef also brought us over both a free little vegan hot chocolate to enjoy which was a lovely gesture! The only thing was that the crepes weren't super hot but that was perfectly understandable given their large surface area. Overall a lovely brunch/dessert & I will be back!
Mireille
Hands down my favourite crepe place! Alternate between the strawberry heaven or the snickers - both amazing. The crepe itself is perfectly thin though the toppings don't overwhelm the crepe itself. Eat in or they serve takeaway out of a window.
Comfy Chairs
Fun and friendly place to stop after a few drinks and a meal. Nice atmosphere and can see why it's a Brunswick street institution. There were a few of us who tried a range of crepes from some classic lemon and sugar to the banana split and Nutella. Everyone went home happy and contented from the night.

Came here on night after getting ice cream just for coffees. Unfortunately my mocha was not well executed at all. It tasted so generic and flavourless with no degree of chocolate or coffee hit whatsoever. The froth was beautiful evident by being in a heart shape but didn't compensate the overall beverage.

I have to declare that the cafe does have character, nice paintings and atmosphere inside.

Furthermore the service was very attentive and beautiful but that's where it ended.

Ending, I may attend again just to try the crepes.

Had a great experience today! Went with two girl friends who came to Melbourne in the first time. The chef is very lovely, made us a special Strawberry crepes with rose petals around the dish. Very beautiful and absolutely delicious!!! Will definitely come back. Thank you very much!
Belle Eats Melbourne
Really yummy and reasonably priced crepes. I recommend the Nutella. The savoury crepes looked delicious too. The atmosphere isn't great but that was the only downside. Service was with a smile.

Cute little crepe place on Brunswick st! Got a really French feel inside, great for an indulgent Friday night 🙌 any Nutella crepe is my pick

We didn't want to queue for breakfast at Lune so decided to try other cafes around the area. A lot of cafes are still closed for the Easter public holidays and we came across Rue crepes which was just around the corner from Lune croissants. No queue here so we walked in to try some French crepes. Lovely cafe with interesting interior. Family owned business and the owner was very friendly and make the crepes himself. We had the Beef Jambon crepe and Pear crepe with Paris tea and skinny latte. The crepes are beautiful and I'm not surprised given the owner has lived in Niece in France for 26 years! Nice find today thanks to the long queue at Lune! Will return
Nelly
This is a small little cafe, I would have almost walked past it and probably have a number of times before.

I'm glad I didn't this time as it's yummy, the best crepes I have had on this side of Melbourne in a long time. Very friendly staff, and worth the drive as I don't live locally.

Atmosphere: Went late on a weeknight - wasn't busy. Cosy place with simplistic furniture. I liked the art of the wall paper, kind of like coloured in drawings from a french kids colouring book.

Service: Friendly enough & quick.

Food: Ordered the strawberry heaven without the custard and the bounty hunter with nutella. Pros: decent size, crepes had a nice texture - thin & crisp. Cons: ice cream had ice crystals, small portions of bounty inside the crepe, got a bit boring to eat after a few mouthfuls, unable to finish one on my own.

Price: Reasonable

Overall, would recommend. Probably consider getting one to share between two though or sharing different ones as it can get a bit much.

This place felt so homely with cute french decor and drawings illustrated on the white walls, great lighting and lovely people who run this little crepe homage.

I ordered the poached pear crepe and was cooked simply and perfectly with the pear being soft enough to delicately consume but firm enough to cut properly too.

The crepe was deliciously crisp and thin with lashings of nutella really bringing it altogether.

Will definitely come back :)
Chocolate.Factory
This place offers amazing crepes....so many to choose from; including gluten free & vegan options. Watching the magic happen through the window is a highlight too. If you can pull yourself away from Donut Time down the road for dessert at Rue de Creperie instead, you won't regret it!
Billy Berlianus Wangdra
Perfect places for dessert, great atmosphere, great crepes with tasty choices of flavour. Best crepes in Melbourne i guess, if youre nutella fan, this place is a must try
Harun Yalcin
Omg! This place made me addicted to crepes! Watching the amazing guy making the crepe and listening to his stories is enough for me to have a good day! The texture and the flavours of the crepes is the best I have ever eaten in my life... Just go there, chat with the guy and enjoy your crepe ;)
Suishavingfun
If you are serious about crêpe, you should definitely try this place! It's not just about a good presentation, the texture of the crêpe was the best in Melbourne. Extremely friendly service. Pear Bella is a must try!
Steve Calder
Vegan Crêpes and milkshakes? Delicious ones? I'm in heaven! The wait staff are polite, and the nice gentleman at the front even let us sneak in some outside food. Definitely coming back.
Ms V
I have been here twice. The first time it was for dessert. The experience was so wonderful that the next time around it was the full meal! The staff is wonderful. It was very homely. The crepes, the welcoming staff, and minimalist yet tasteful decor makes you want to come back for more.
Jessica
Such a humble and friendly dessert cafe. You can tell the owner and his workers are passionate and family orientated which makes the business and customer service experience itself a lot more welcoming. We had the wicked snickers crepes, peach paradise and tropical paradise. The snickers crepes was amazing, it had that sticky texture inside a snickers bar but inside the crepes. The peach paradise was amazing, the freshness of the fruit accompanied by the sweet but suttle honey along with the whipped cream was amazing. The tropics paradise was delicious, the sweet and sourness of the pineapple lifted the dish up and combined with Nutella was absolutely heaven. Such a hidden gem, will definitely be coming back
Devil In The Detail
A group of us were craving for desert. So much selection down Brunswick street, we randomly stumbled on a delightful little place called Rue de Crêperie. Not understanding where and what we just discovered - we decided to walk in. We order a round of coffee and expected the usual standard crepes. As we've all been to paris, toulouse, nice even montepellier. We overly skepitical as werent going to expect the standard in which we had a France. Let me just say, no words can explain how incredibly wrong we were. It was 'incroyable'.

We shared a few diffrent crepes but my favorite was bounty hunter. It was so good, i didn't want to leave. If i had the appetite and the sheer will - I'd try everything. But i guess everything in moderation - some wise idiot once told me. So i will come back again and again and again until i try it all.
Food Is Really Great
I wanted to go explore Fitzroy as soon as I found out I was going to visit Melbourne, and I remember seeing this place listed as one of the popular Fitzroy eateries during my pre-vacation zomato research session.

I couldn't see a sign saying what time they opened? As soon as I stopped outside the window to see if it was open, the staff were like 'give us 5mins!' so I don't know if they actually coincidentally opened at 3pm, or just whenever they see someone.

Either way thank you guys so much for opening conveniently just as I got there. The crepe (sugar + cinnamon + butter + $1 addition of mixed nuts) was excellent!!! Crispy on the outside, soft and gooey (in a good way!!) on the inside. If I'm lucky enough to go back to Fitzroy, I will definitely go back here too.
Gagan
Amazing !! Probably the best crepes I've had. We had the strawberry heaven with coconut ice cream and chocolate. Cannot complain and would recommend to anyone. I know where to go it I'm craving crepes !!
Veginspo
I had an absolute foodgasm while eating my Strawberry Heaven Vegan Crepe. The taste stands up to the name, heaven. I went right there, floated around, elated. We were sharing the crepe with friends and I think we were all trying to hog it all! Must visit! Beautiful owner.
Wolf Of Collins St.
Certainly you don't want a cold crêperie with a cold poached pear on it be served with cold, cold vanila ice cream. Come on guys how about cold & hot phases on a nice frensh desert. Also Tea was taste less (colourful boiled water). But at the end I have to be fair, the crêperie altough was cold but it was crispy and customer service is very friendly.
Lina Pham
such a lovely place! we were in the area for dinner and wanted to look for a dessert place, somewhere we had never tried. And yes, i hv always been a big fan of crepes so we picked this place. Its actually pretty spacious. A good spot for catching up. I ordered the cheescake crepe and my sister went for the pear belle. Both were nice and 2 tea pots really got us thru a cold winter night hahaa. Love the place!
Dora Mazzeo
My girlfriend and I came here recently and the food was delicious. Couldn't fault the crepes at all. The waiters were lovely too. The issue we had was with the way we were treated when we went to pay for our food. I had noticed that we had been overcharged for our food and politely asked the dark-haired man behind the counter for a breakdown of the costs. After having been told that the coffees were $6 (I have never been charged that much for coffee in my life) I still noticed we had been overcharged by $4. The man argued with me saying I was wrong until I was forced to calculate the total on my phone in front of his face. At which point he slammed $2 onto the counter acting as if a couple of dollars was no big deal. I then reminded him that it was $4 followed by a huffy response of him reopening the register dramatically and giving me another $2.... Not one apology. I emailed the restaurant later letting them know about the incident as I would rather not post publically when I had enjoyed the food so much but never got a response. So here I am reviewing! I will not be returning to this place.

Yummmmoooooo!! From classic lemon and sugar to funky toppings such as snickers!!! Just add strawberries as they make everything better 🍓👌🏽
Ange
Asked if owner could make cinnamon sugar, said he could, ended up with lemon and sugar. Oh wells, owner was lovely to chat to whilst waiting for crepe to cook. Best crepe I've had in Melbourne, not too thin or thick and like others have mentioned, slightly crispy. Prefer this place over Le Petit Creperie and other crepe places in CBD.
WALLFISH_
Finally a Crêpe place that tops their lovely thin, slightly crisp pancakes with a perfect amount of what ever you love.
Yummy snacks, friendly service!
UDontWinFriendsWithSalad
Always perfect. Have been here several times, staff and especially the owner are so warm and welcoming. Crepes are delicious and just as good as I had in Paris. I have been with a large group and they were very accommodating, shuffling tables and chairs around to make sure we were all comfortable. Highly recommended!
Lemon Cloud
Came here to satisfy our sweet tooths after the food trucks in thornbury with my girl. Was a small cosy place amidst the hustle and bustle of Brunswick St. The service was great and the outside seating was perfect for warm night. We ordered the banana split crepe it was pretty good. The scoop of vanilla ice-cream was on the smaller side but made up for it by having plenty of nutella drizzled on top. We left with smiles on our faces ready for our next quest for the night.
Kanchana Perera
Had the lemon and sugar crepe with ice cream. Now I'm not a big fan of ice cream but this was amazing with the crepe. Friendly staff and a fun light hearted atmosphere with the paintings on the wall. Coffee was great too.
Em Ily
I'm irritated about this place because I just moved around the corner this week and last night after a bad experience at the diner including a cold steak and a bad attitude from the manager, we then went to order a thickshake at this crepe joint and was referred by the the unfriendly staff member to the orea thickshake - got charged TEN DOLLARS for said thickshake then handed it to us in a small green plastic see through cup with no lid or straw? Unprofessional or what? $10 for that? Milk icecream and oreos probably cost them $1-$2 to make it. Literally just got robbed.

Could atleast put it in a nice cup. Could get a better milkshake for $4. Thanks for the laugh though.
Sue Rudall
Lovely vegan creperie run by a friendly crew, and one of the many joys of Fitzroy for myself and my partner when we make the trek over from the Adelaide Hills. Well worth the journey for their banana caramel crepes!
Mimi Abd
Had the lemon crepe so many times now, so so good! The crepe itself is the highlight, crispy yet chewy, just the right thickness and spot on taste. Favourite in Melb for sure!
Aneta N
Nice crepes. I had Nutella and strawberry with a side of ice cream. The crepes were presented nicely, but the Nutella is more like a topping rather than a filling. I also had a hot cinnamon spiced tea; which was naturally sweet and soothing.
Chubbylover86
The crepes here were really tasty an generous in portions and toppings. Ordered the wicked snickers and strawberry crepes and weren't disappointed.
AH
I really love this vegan creperie (they have plenty of non-vegan options too!), and while the service can be a touch slow, its nice to see the owner being involved in every part of the business, from taking orders, cooking and serving. The crepes are expertly thin, and there are so many delicious options to work your way through, my favourite being the banana split! I love that they use Zebra Dream ice-cream, as it is deliciously creamy and melts beautifully onto the crepe. I wish that the crepe would be a little bit hotter, as it has been only just warm when I have received it, but with it being so thin, I can understand why it goes cold rather quickly. The atmosphere is also really calming and relaxing, and Rue de Creperie is quickly becoming a go to dessert place of mine!
Erin
Cool place to come for a late night savoury or sweet crepe. Service can be a bit hit and miss (or plain non-existent at times) but generally the crepes are really tasty. The takeaway Nutella crepes are also an awesome late night indulgence.
Ali Vego
I love that this place is open so late at night, they have so many delicious things on the menu but are also willing to let you make up your own crepe toppings.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Really cute and comfortable vibe.
Shelly
Delicious! Got to try a Snickers and banana crepe at Welcome to Thornbury and it was divine. Served really well and wasn't messy to eat. Such a unique concept with the Snickers flavour. The crepe was thick which made it filling and easy to eat. Hope to see them trading there again.
Simone Lay
Separate vegan menu makes it easy, accommodating for sweet and savoury. A bit pricey but lovely, quite filling crepes - I had the Thai special. Cute decor and quick service. Extensive trading hours on weekends makes it a great place for a late night treat!
FivebyFive
The crepes are nice but the shit service is just not worth it. Had to wait 20min to get our order taken, another 45min to get our food and three others who walked in after us got their food first.
Belle Dimitrijevski
Ordered a crepe with Nutella and when the crepe came, there was only dribbles on top. Spoke to the chef and told him there was no Nutella on the crepe. The chef then took the crepe away and returned the crepe with so much Nutella the entire plate was drowning and also gave me the dirty cutlery back! Worst experience ever!
Loz
My friend and I both enjoyed our sweet crepes served by lovely staff. Our visit was let down by the man who I assume to be the owner/manager speaking quite abruptly to myself and his staff member at the register. Note: don't discuss wanting to kick a table out for not ordering food in front of a customer trying to pay. Just plain rude.
Foodies.and.Coe
Such a cosy inviting cafe, went here Friday night late (such a bonus being open until 12) and was very pleased. Variety on the menu and some nice tea to complement, I went with the salted caramel which I enjoyed thoroughly and the Pomergrenate tea was very nice to complement it. Staff were very friendly. Ticked this of the list but will be back again
Shumay
A quiet and lovely cafe to head to after dinner. I went here with a friend after dinner close by on a Saturday and we loved it! The crepes are amazing here!! I had the banana split, and it was one of the best crepes Ive had! Service is great too! They all seem really lovely. I will definitely be back!!
Biscuit Musca
Went there last Friday night. Had the beef jambon, mushroom and cheese, wicked snickers and strawberry heaven which all taste fantastic. Staff were very nice and friendly. Will be coming back again
Bonjoursir
The smell of crepes was inviting as we were walking down Brunswick st in seek of dessert therapy. Staff were attentive. We had the apple crepe and salted caramel which were quite average.
Meredith Rouse
A nice and comfortable place to stop by before transitioning home, after seeing bands play at the Evelyn Hotel across the road.

The Banana Split crêpe is so far the best I have had, in terms of "sweet" crêpes, combining banana, almonds, ice cream, and a niiice serving (drizzle) of nutella on top - hehe. A lovely sweet fix as a treat for sure!
In "savoury", their omelette crêpe is also quite tasty and filling as well, with a fresh portion of salad on the side.

Next time, the Wicked Snickers shall be on the list to try as, being one of their popular ones, it does sound very decadent and oh-so-good, as well as their other ones (sweet/savoury).
Overall, these are really some of the best crêpes in Melbourne! :)
Fanny Khoe
This place is cozy and warm, quite small place. They have sweet crepes and savoury as well. Wide range of menu however it is a bit pricy for me because the crepes is very thin compare to piatella crepes at Glen Waverly. But i didnt regret came here. Its still gooodddd
Snowypiggy
Very cute interior and welcoming staff. The sweet crepes were amazing, especially the banana and Nutella one with ice cream served on top! Also tried the mushroom cheese and spinach one which was kind of bland and average. Would come again for sweet crepes though!
Abbi_weatherald
Yum yum yum!!!! Could argue that it's a little bit over priced but it definitely is delicious!! Had the cheesecake crepe and will be back for more!
Travis C
A warm welcome before my late night galette fix. The Beef and Egg was delicious, cooked beautifully and the accompanying coffee was also very good. My wife's Lemon and Sugar Crepe was also well received. Quite pleased to have found a late night crepe/galette restaurant, will be back again.

Awesome. Tasted most of the menu with a group of friends. Great tasting took me back to France with each mouthful. Vegan crepes also very tasty

FALSE ADVERTISING. NEGLIGENT OWNER.. Upon entering, you are greeted with multiple signs stating Vegan Crepes - "ALL PRODUCTS USED ARE VEGAN." You see the A frame outside, and the menu board inside stating this.
When we were seated (in a very un friendly way), we were given a copy of the exact menu on the wall at the front of the store, and ordered our crepe. Which may I add we have had before with no issues.

Once our crepe arrived, we noticed it was not in fact vegan at all. Upon approaching the OWNER about this she told me that it was my job to point out I wanted my crepe to be vegan, even though ALL of their signage States ALL VEGAN PRODUCTS USED.
When I told her I was disappointed and would not be returning, she told me that she didn't care and to get out, and shoved past me and went out the back of the store.
We waited for her to come back from the back of the store, and tried to calmly suggest they point out to people that you need to specify (even though every sign says VEGAN), and she wouldn't even look at us, or give an adult answer, let alone an apology.

I am BEYOND disappointed and furious, and being a business owner myself I have no idea how someone can run their business like this.
Meli76
A dear friend and I dropped in after midnight for a coffee after a great night out.... We ended up ordering some crepes too and stayed until 2am. The coffee was really good (which was a nice surprise!) and the crepes were simply delicious. With extremely friendly, attentive and efficient staff - we will definitely be making this place our late night stop-in spot!
Joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo
Surpassed our doubts.. There's a dubious element to Rue de Creperie: it doesn't feel like a real French creperie. Specifically I suspect it's not actually owned by anyone actually French. I mean, the name is slightly grammatically off, there's an Eiffel tower painted on the wall, and the menu left us incredulous with its unfrenchiness (sure, that's a word). Some of the menu items were almost a tad...gimmicky?
I'll admit, we were kind of expecting it to be awful.
But hey, the crepes were tasty, the portions were actually quite generous, and the staff were attentive. Not so bad.

Lemon sugar snob. I've walked past this place a million times but decided to stop and grab a vegan lemon sugar crepe on my way home one Sunday morning.
I am a lemon sugar crepe aficionado so perhaps I just have very high standards but it just tasted like sugar and butter-strange for a vegan crepe to taste like butter...
We won't be going back- I'll make my own at home next time- with more lemon!

Best in Melbourne!!. Best. Crepes. In. Melbourne!!

Come here all the time and are met with consistent friendly service. Delicious desserts. Doesn't get too busy so you got the time to relax and enjoy without feeling like you're being pushed out.

Only negative (or perhaps a suggestion), iced chocolate is literally warm chocolate water with ice cubes - perhaps add some ice cream and make it a bit thicker.

Highly recommend the Wicked snickers crepe...you won't be dissappointed!

So far, the no.1 crepe in Melbourne.
Well done guys and keep it up!

Delish and gluten free too!. Loved dining here tonight for some amazing gluten free galettes. I asked them to change some ingredients around as I have some allergies and they happily catered. This is straight after being disspaointed in another resturant next door the same night. So i was very impressed. Will be back :) recommend to all!

Slow service, amazing crepes!!. We went in on a lazy Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. We ordered two coffees, a Nutella Strawberry crepe and a Banana Honey one also. We waited around 20-30 minutes for our coffees and crepes to arrive which was a little frustrating seeing that it wasn't busy at all. The slow service however was quickly forgotten once our crepes arrived. Absolutely beautifully presented and the taste was mouthwatering perfection!! Slightly overpriced for a single crepe but definitely worth a try!!

You have to eat here. This is a great litte place that you have to go and eat at. It has gone straight to the top of our list. Kitsch little place with great selection of sweet crepes. Friendly staff, great service. You can see the owner loves what he does and wants you to enjoy your experience.

Beautiful service. The man serving me was an absolute gem, could see that id had a long day at work and went out of his way for me, very much appreciated.

Pear Belle with Extra Strawberries. Crispy crepe not Soaky!

Above Average.. A bit inconsistent in quality...anyways, I loved the "cheese cake special" crepe. The casual waiters have no ideas what they were doing though...They need to hire someone a bit more professional.

Hands down the best crepes I have ever had in Melbourne! Soft and crispy, it was perfectly brown and yumtastic. The sugar lemon was fragrant and just perfect. Would eat a million of these crepes if possible.

Have only been here once but I know I'm going to keep coming back!!. After hurdling many obstacles, a few friends and I finally made our way down to Brunswick st to try this lovely new creperie which was recommended by one of our mutual friends.
As we entered, we were graciously greeted by one of the staff and was then seated and given a well descriptive menu, which made us all want to devour everything on it!! The food was deliciously amazing, the service is one of the best I've ever received and we also got 2 free pots of tea just by them finding out how much we love drinking it. The setting of the place is clean and complemented by warm wooden furniture, candles and flowers, together with paintings on the wall all done by the owner of the place; as we found out by talking to the friendly staff. Even though we went during a peak period, the place still had a cosy hum. You can almost imagine that you're in a coffee house in Europe. Definitely recommended and definitely wont be the last time I go there.

The service once again was amazing! I feel like a regular already :)

Happy, cheerful service and cheap. Nothing flash seeing as though it's a mobile creperie, but very tasty. Serving was so big I couldn't finish it. Good for a quick feed on the run.

And what could make going to a drive-in even cooler and more awesome? Food trucks! After the movie we got some banana and nutella crepes from Rue de Creperie for dessert. They had excellent service and now have their own non-food truck, bricks and mortar restaurant in Fitzroy.
