Review Fitzroy Social - Fitzroy

Shibu Narendranathan
Great ambience for jolly mood, can easily accommodate large groups, pretty good variety of drinks. On the flip side, most of the cocktails are artificial flavors and colors - expected real juice.. nevertheless had a good time..

Beautiful set up. Green and relaxing on a hot Melbourne day. Friendly staff. Food and drink is a bit on the the expensive side. But lovely spot to be at.

This place is awesome! Great food & great cocktails... the staff are super fun and create a great atmosphere. It's a pretty big venue, lots of seating and standing areas! Unicorn cocktails are amazing... however, the complete cocktail list was delicious!

We went early in the afternoon just looking for some hot beverages and our waiter surprised us with a Chocolate Chai Latte that was amazing. They have a fantastic vegetarian burger that is awesome as well. Great service!

We love it hear. Situated on the buzzing Brunswick Street within the old Little Creatures brewery you find Fitzroy social. This well decorated, ambient and vibrant establishment offers a cool fashionable environment to sip on a cocktail, have a beer or a meal. Using a Cudo voucher we were able to order off a set menu a variety of options. We loved our food! The burger was oozing with flavour and the beef patty was well cooked, as was the pan seared salmon. The entrees list included pork belly, arancini balls and cinnamon calamari and prawns all which exceeded our expectation. The side services of mac and cheese and rocket, parmesan and pear salad was all that was needed to balance our palette. The deserts of the salted caramel and popcorn panacotta and caramel and Nutella pie were both also amazing and a good finish off to the long list of dishes already eaten. You will definitely leave full having eaten well cooked pub-grub style cuisine which is affordable.

Impressive interior featuring a hanging garden and graffiti covered walls. The dining space feels way too big and the music doesn’t match the surroundings at all. I would only recommend coming here early evening before the sun sets to enjoy a quick drink before moving on to explore the rest of Brunswick Street.

Great food (including gluten free), plenty of oval beers on tap and great service.

The place looks amazing, but the food is disappointing. Extensive selection of drinks though.

First time that I have been here after it reopened, and I must say it’s extremely bright, the light is super bright. However, the place has a very nice atmosphere.

Dropped in here for a drink w a mate. <br/><br/>The service was good and the cocktails fun. We had a coffee martini each which were really good.<br/><br/>We shared some eggplant chips and they errr delicious. This is a big warehouse style bar in the old beer hall.

What a place! The décor is amazing!!!! You feel happy just to look at it. Nice drinks very yummy.<br/>The service was good and the food is nice. Recommend although a bit pricey.

The decor is something else! The food was above average, the jumbo Parma was exactly that... Jumbo. Drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is fantastic. We had a ball as a group and will definitely be heading back. Great experience.

Loved the happy hour experience. Got together with couple of friends for Christmas Party and we had so much. <br/>I wish there was dance floor to lite up the happy hour though. <br/>Amazing customer service experience!

We were looking forward to having a work function here for 50+ people with the 3 course set menu + cocktail as advertised all over their social media and website only to be told they are no longer offering it in upcoming weeks. Unfortunately we were unable to be catered for a sit down function and were offered pub style bar service instead which was pretty disappointing. I would have expected the company to honour what they’re advertising but sadly they lost our business in not doing so.
Good Food Good Mood
We ducked into Fitzroy social in between a wedding ceremony and reception at the nearby town hall. This was my first experience at the venue in the day time and it was as cool as the evening. Given we hadn’t had lunch my husband and I shared the giant parma. When cut in half these still amounted to a sizeable portion.<br/><br/>The chips accompanying these were absolutely delicious too. Some others at the table got the regular sized parma and it wasn’t too far behind size wise. Pizzas and burgers were also enjoyed the only issue was cold cappuccinos but new ones were made upon complaint. What really wins here is the atmosphere, in fact if you are a quirky couple you should totally have your wedding here! <br/><br/>Original review<br/>The old Little Creatures is now a breathtakingly cool space with pops of neon, elegant chandeliers, a beautiful bright wall mural and stunning ceiling suspended greenery. The place was absolutely buzzing with lively music pulsing and friendly staff. <br/><br/>The menu is super Brunswick forget merely vegetarian it is all manner of vegan, gluten free and dairy free options. You have to order at the counter and I had significant difficulty with the man who took my order, he processed it incorrectly three times. It took about 10 minutes for me to pay which was annoying as I was absolutely starving. Sure enough the order came to the table incorrect (one of the transactions he had refunded) but we got there in the end. <br/><br/>We had two spicy salmon salads at the table neither of which were spicy but what was frustrating was the inconsistency of plating. My partner literally had a scattering of salmon on the plate and he's 95% sure it was tinned. Maybe charge slightly more and make it substantial? Not to mention fresh. A friend faired better with her quantity of fish. <br/><br/>I got the eye filet with cinnamon sweet potato wedges. The cinnamon was quite subtle and the wedges too oily for my liking which worked out well as I'm dieting so I only had a few and didn't even want any more. The steak was lovely and the bernaise a nice accompaniment. <br/><br/>We had a selection of burgers at the table; kale and beef, homestyle cheeseburger and the kimchi. All well received other than the kimchi deemed average. They had mulled cider which was absolutely delicious but they ran out very early in the night.<br/><br/>Panko crumbed cheese curds were super oily for me (I mean I know they are deep fried but I don't need to taste oil dripping out as I bite in) but the pork poutine was a hit. They do run a pretty rocking happy hour for majority of the night which is always a plus. Great atmosphere and killer set up but the food and service a bit hit and miss. Definite strong potential

Awesome vibe to the place. Service was great and food came out pretty quickly for a busy Saturday night. <br/>Our meals were delicious and the peanut butter cheesecake is something I’ll be coming back for!

Popped in during a pub crawl this afternoon. Interesting space - not sure what to make of it<br/>Large warehouse, greenery on the ceiling, half bar half restaurant, nightclub like<br/>Definitely not enough seating and beers and beer names which go a bit beyond the norm (not in a good way)
Yes Girl
Booked for a birthday, staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was great, really happy with the experience. Would reckoned to go for nice vibes and a good meal

We popped in last week to get a late lunch after a morning of museums and mooching. The cavernous room was a surprise after the slightly seedy street frontage. But the gas heaters were doing an impressive job of making the large space cosy nevertheless. And the funky decor and greenery was interesting. The staff were super friendly, and impressive in their awareness of gluten free options and subtleties. Special mention goes to the GF fish and chips - proper battered fish. A first in a casual dining restaurant or pub that I can remember. Hey this is just pub grub really, and what we had wasn’t exceptional. But it’s fine for what it is. I imagine it’s a fun place when it’s busy and rocking. My burger was a bit “meh”. Daughter gave a 👍 to the fish and chips. But it was all edible and tasty.

Went here for a Birthday on a Sunday afternoon. Fairly quiet compared to the old days of Little Creatures. Staff were frinedly and attentive but vibe lacked a little. Bar food was delicious and generous. Worth checking out if your after a couple of drinks and a casual feed!

No complaints here! Friendly and welcoming staff, great food and drinks and of course awesome interior vibe. Stopped in by default as we were in the area and got hungry but was definitely impressed 😍

Food came out quickly but was just okay. I had a spicy salmon salad which was nice and fresh but had zero spice to it which was a bit misleading. Service was also just okay. I won't be in a hurry to come back.

I agree with some of the other reviews that I've read about this space being confused - it doesn't know what it wants to be. Nightclub? Bar? Restaurant? It's unfortunate as this big warehouse-esque space has a lot of potential but juggling too many ideas is causing it to be misguided and lose direction (with it - traffic). <br/><br/>I've only ever come here for drinks and despite the big bar and ample seating (with a buzzing crowd to match) I have never found it comfortable. It's too bright to be a bar/nightclub but too loud (music) and obnoxious to be a relaxed dining space. <br/><br/>As a pit stop in between perusing the neighbourhood it's worth stopping in, even if it's just for a drink or two. I haven't had food here so I can't speak for what that's like, although I wouldn't want to try it from what other reviewers are saying.

Really enjoyed the last few times I’ve been to Fitzroy Social. Recommend going for happy hour as there are heaps of great deals. <br/>The mushroom arancini balls are so delicious and the chicken schnitzel is also good. <br/>Does get a little busy, but staff are pretty attentive. Lovely decor and great music on a Friday night.

Cool setting, great food and friendly service. We used a scoopon deal and the value was amazing! we got to try lots of different foods and there was not one thing we didn't enjoy! Server was very patient as we were indecisive and had special requests. Would definitely recommend.

We were waiting to be seated and a lady walked right past into the dining area and talked to the service guy and she got seated straight away.<br/>I found that rude on her part unprofessional on the waiter guys part.<br/>We followed what the sign said and he served her first.<br/>We ordered our food ;Chicken parma with Gravy and Honey Marinated Hamburger. <br/>It took 1 hr for the food to come out. Way way too long.<br/>We were starving.<br/>My meat pattie was so dry but luckly it had flavour .<br/>My friends Chicken Parma was basically a piece of Chicken Schnitzel drizzled with gravy and very basic not appealing looking colelaw.<br/>It didn't look appetizing at all.<br/>The vibe and music was awesome.<br/>

Went there for my friends birthday. The venue is large and well decorated. We all were very happy with our food and the service. Music was loud at times but thats understandable since its a bar as well and there were some people dancing on the floor. Thinking of celebrating my 23rd birthday in this exquisite venue.

Great service, pleasant fit out and loads of food options. We came here on a scoopon and there was surplus food for 2 people and was good value. You get to sample several entrees on offer, we opted for the cutlets and burger for mains which were both good. The Mac and cheese was yum. The desserts were so so. Overall we enjoyed this experience and would come back again.

We came for a Scoopon date night , and were happy with the food service and venue. The venue is huge with plenty of dining and drinking options to choose from.
Alice Tran
Shitty service. Would not provide me with water. Water! Trust I asked nicely. All my friends witnessed. I’m not happy. Service is everything.

Fitzroy Social is housed in the old Little Creatures Beer Hall on Fitzroy and will be both familiar and unfamiliar to anyone who visited it in its old guise.

I feel there is a lot of confusion with what the venue of The Fitzroy Social is, is it a restaurant, bar or nightclub.... The reason I say this is because half way through our meals the volume cranked up and we had to yell over the music to talk to each other.  There are lots of people at the bar drinking and people dancing on the dance floor - which is fine but it was too loud. <br/>Our waiter was very good, food was hit and miss on the table.  I ordered the spicy salmon salad which was ok, there was no spice to the salmon and it was overcooked leaving it very dry.  My partner got the steak and it was good.  A friend on our table ordered the salmon which arrived much later than the rest of our meals, he said it was over cooked and dry too.  In general the food took a very long time to arrive, I wouldn't suggest coming here to eat.

Thank you to all the staff... the food & service was impeccable!!! We had a truly wonderful day celebrating my sons 21st!! Highly recommend the Fitzroy social for any event!

Well the atmosphere is a clear winner for this place. Great decor and good vibes. Pity the drinks we ordered for happy hour took around 25 minutes to arrive. Cocktails were tasty all round and just the right about of strength - had a kick and not too weak, giving u that perfect head spin. The double fried chicken burger with lettuce wrap was average. Would have much preferred breast or tenderloins compared to the chicken thigh meat being used. Will be back again to give it all another go.
Micki
Food was fantastic! Delicious starters! Had the cauliflower fritters and raw king fish, salmon and tuna. Melted in the mouth. For mains we had the fish and seafood stew which was tasty but I had to ask for some fresh cut chilli for some kick. My partner had a steak which he ordered med-rare and it came out rare. Not much to complain about really. A bit too noisy in there but once a few tables cleared the noise died down. Great food and drinks, would recommend!

Went on Friday with my wife and her friends. Absolutely good vibe and food fantastic, must try the Kale burger, the fries were good too, and a jug of beer for 8$ completed the journey

I've been here a couple of times and the staff never seem like they want to have us there. No smiles, standoffish, quite rude as if they would rather us leave. <br/>Lacks ambience as the times I've been it's been quite empty. <br/>The chips and pizza were soggy, not really enjoyable. There's so many nice places to grab a drink in the area with nice service so I won't be coming back.

Four of us came to Fitzroy Social as part of a living social deal. 2x $59 for three courses. This combined with and extended happy hour until 9 meant for a very reasonably priced evening out. <br/><br/>We really loved the effort that has gone from converting from the little creatures of old. Graffiti walls, hanging faux vegetation and plenty of other visually stunning elements. There was even I giant screen with the footy on if that's your scene. High enough to not intrude in the general vibe of the place but there for a quick glance. The venue was quite loud but we could still hold a conversation. <br/><br/>We were shown to our table and had the set menu explained to us. <br/><br/>We got a share plate entree with pork belly, arancini balls, cinnamon calamari and breads. The pork belly was divine and I had a double serve without any hesitation. Arancini balls had a meatball centre. Could have been a vegetarian option and still been delicious so I saw this as a flawed menu item for such a set menu. The calamari was very average looking so much so I didn't partake. It looked limp and lifeless. <br/><br/>For main I ordered the steak with a mushroom sauce and a side of mac & cheese. Cooked well and chips had chicken salt, Mac & cheese was subtle tasting but I did like it. My main was quite salty which was good because salt and pepper did not feature on the table. Others ordered salmon on a quinoa salad which looked highly appetising as did the lamb cutlets. <br/><br/>Desserts were small but we didn't need any more food so won't complain. I loved the caramel and Nutella "pie" (tart).<br/><br/>Throughout the meal our server was highly attentive to the point of asking us how long we wanted to wait for our mains and then desserts etc. he was really good value and kept us wet with happy hour drinks. I indeed felt quite pickled by the end of the night. The $6 G&T's were made with beefeater 24 which isn't my normal gun choice but is the beefeater premium offer. The G&T's tasted really good.<br/><br/>We had a great night out. A really good living social/ Fitzroy social experience.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>

Went down to this place on a Tuesday night for food and the southern fried chicken burger I had was absolutely yummy. Great vibe and a good selection beers too

Couldn't fault a thing! Sunday arvo drinks and dinner here was great. Chilled vibe music in the background was the cherry on top. Service was lovely too.

Fitzroy Social is the perfect place to get some friends together for a few drinks and some tasty food. <br/><br/>It's always a plus when a Happy Hour is actually at a reasonable time, and it definitely didn't disappoint here. There was a great selection to get through with a little something for everyone's tastes.<br/><br/>The burgers are also worth making mention of. They are really tasty and hit the spot when you're looking for food that stands up well against a night of drinking and fun. And when you're ready for little something sweet the dessert box is surely the way to go. Pretty much a full serve of four different desserts which are real crowd pleasers.<br/><br/>The atmosphere and music create a really cool vibe throughout the vast space. I would definitely recommend this place as a local gem.

The venue looks amazing, I haven't been since it changed from the Little Creatures dining hall and I love this much more! The food was great we went for the $2 tacos which were decent value for money and really tasty. All the cocktails we ordered were really good and at the start of the night everything came out really quickly. Unfortunately a couple of things let the venue down, while the staff were really helpful and polite there were unfortunately two incidents of knocked drinks. The first one we were actually completely unsure if it was us or the waitress that knocked it over and the waitresses replaced it for us which was really nice. The second one was a full cocktail I had spilt completely on me, the waitress was incredibly apologetic and our drink was remade but I feel we should have at least received the drink or something as compensation, lucky I wasn't wearing anything that was damaged but I am not sure that a bunch of napkins is enough to compensate sitting in soggy clothes for an hour or so. The last round of cocktails took almost an hour and we were told there was enough ingredients for 1 each of what we ordered, then when we finally followed up awhile later were told they ran out of ingredients and I had to change my order. I suggest going early the service prior to the above was good, I probably wouldn't come for one of the more expensive meals but if you want cheap food and cocktails it's an ideal location.
Mia
Amazing vibe and good food. Though it took ages to come and the portions were very small. It is good for sharing as as most the menu was starters.<br/>
Rachel Blake
Cheap and cheerful! Excellent drink prices all week round. Had $2 tacos which were pretty good for the price as a little snack. <br/><br/>Also ordered some sweet potato fries which I would recommend - very tasty. <br/><br/>God service and funky restaurant.
Melbourne Food
I have been here a few times and haven't been disappointed. The food is really good, in particular the pork belly starter! The protein sizes are pretty decent too. The only thing is tho plastic chairs are really uncomfortable and not a great look! But good wise it's a thumbs up!
Theknifeandforktalk
This place is just beautiful! It has been put together so well, it is so vibrant and exciting! You feel full of energy when you walk into the place. Staff were super friendly. They made a mistake as I asked for a cheeseburger but instead got a chicken burger. I accepted it anyway and they offered to get me a soft drink to apologise which is kind of them. The food was just fantastic! Will definitely be returning!

Meh. Stopped here for a drink, no air con just a fan and it was HOT outside. Not much value for money in my honest opinion, wouldn't bother.
Jennifer Hartono
Do they sell food or alcohol here?<br/><br/>There are 15 pages on the drink menu and how many pages for food?<br/><br/>Super huge establishement, hanging garden iny intepretation, good vibrant and loud.<br/><br/>Good food and great service, thanks Juan for looking after us so well.<br/><br/>"JT" Jeffrie Trika

Why bother even for $59.00 per couple?   Could not have a decent conversation because the speaker was above our heads.  Clearly this place is a drinking place only.  Saying that our cider was so watered down, it did not taste of cider, so we swapped that for a wine.  But the waiter did not ask if we wanted a red or white??  Strange.  Out came a white wine.  And that tasted watered down also.  So we stuck with that.   <br/>The shared first course arrived - cinnamon calamari was so thin that they disappeared in the deep frying.  The pork belly was clearly cooked some time ago - dull and dry.  The arrancini balls were nice.<br/>The main course - my lamb cutlers were average and the salad was good.  My partner's beef and reef was strange with steak, prawns, chorizo sausage and pork belly.  He was not impressed.<br/>Desserts.  My tiny pudding - genache - in a tiny jar - half was cream - would have preferred a biscuit.  My partners panna cotta was not something to write about.  Don't waste your time, money or frustration, go somewhere else.
Bronimal
All snark and shenanigans aside, my experience at this place was legitimately diabolical. The happy hour drinks were made using bargain bin liquor (reflected by the price tag) and the ill-mannered patrons combined with the cacophony of offensive music made for a truly excruciating 15 minutes of my life that have scarred me forever and that I will never get back. If you value your sanity, avoid Fitzroy Social.<br/>
Annie
Such a shame! We were really looking forward to checking this place out, but what a let down. Funky set up, great bar selection but the food was really bad! Had the pie with what was supposed to be gravy. Seriously it was brown water, gross! The pie was just warm, the pork and beef in the tacos were cold! The arancini were nice though! Bonus 😩
Rebecca Bernhard
Extremely unorganised.. we had a table of 8 that all ordered at the same time yet 35 minute discrepancy between mains coming out, then forgot dishes.<br/>On a positive, the apple cider is enjoyable
Cocinero Picante
Horribly disorganized. Very frustrating dining experience. So many issues with just ordering food and drinks. Kitchen had to shut from being banked up (despite being less than a quarter full). Wouldn't come back.

UPDATE 31/1/2017<br/><br/>Excellent service by Juan.<br/>Food is much better than last time, only downside was the Salmon, very small, no skin and overcooked. Surf and Turf is perfect.<br/>The place is not full and still loud.<br/><br/>Coffee is BAD, eventhough I'm always happy to pay $4.00<br/><br/>PREVIOUS 08/12/2016<br/><br/>Is it a bar, high end Pub or a restaurant?????<br/><br/>For a start, the music is LOUD, a gigantic speaker above our table doesn't help when one is trying to converse.<br/><br/>The Bar area is happening, quite a few patrons on a Thursday night having their Christmas party I would say.<br/><br/>Table and chairs aren't comfortable, no linen, no set up, on a casual cafe style, those transparent plastic chair looks cool but aren't comfortable.<br/><br/>Service was good, albeit slow as they only have a few staff to tend us all.<br/><br/>On the food side, disappointing; <br/>Stand out was the mixed Entree of Pork belly, Arrancini, Calamari and bread with dipping sauce, 4/5.<br/>Mains are mostly disappointing, hard crusted Lamb cutlets, overcooked Salmon, but perfectly grilled steak (Surf & Turf).<br/>Desserts are ordinary and coffee are average too.<br/><br/>Parking is also difficult, $4/hr for street parking, so we need a bigger incentive to come back this place.

Ordered food from here via the Ubereats app recently. Even taking into consideration the food being talk-away, I was very disappointed! I ordered the Pumpkin Arancini which were very bland an tasteless and the "Homestyle" Mac n Cheese which was atrocious! Had this revolting taste throughout it with crappy sauce and flavour. Disgusting! Highly recommend avoiding this place!
Brungiel
Big, spacious layout which is great! Had a few drinks and some nibbles with some friends - selection of drinks available is pretty good, food is ok but a little pricey for what you get, with nothing really standout. Service is friendly and quick.

Not sure why this place has such poor reviews. Went here for some drinks and the place was majestic. However, didn't really stay long enough to properly judge.
Mariana
Was here on the Monday night with a group of friends for dinner and drinks for the Melbourne Cup day off on Tuesday. Was so happy to find  a separate vegan menu however thats where the excitement ended. The macadamia nut and zucchini burger was a very strange and not delightful combination. I found it very hard to eat as it kept falling apart and the burger overall was very tasteless. There are so many great vegan burgers, like try a portobello mushroom burger or make a nice lentil and veggie patty. The shoestring fries were a win. However we waited sooooo long for our food and it wasn't busy i was staring at the kitchen and they had 2 orders which they weren't in a hurry to make.  The staff are very serious and uninviting. The place is visually nice to look at however it lacks  atmosphere. The pinot noir was horrible I couldn't finish my glass. I won't be back in a hurry.
Preeti Patel-Jogi
Worst Mac and cheese ever. Nice vibe but the food really isn't much to rave about. Disappointing as the menu looked great with a lot of vegetarian options.
Troy Siemens
The food was amazing! We had the set menu with the cutlets and the surf and turf which come with prawns chorizo and pork belly!<br/><br/>The atmosphere here was great and so many beers on tap to chose from.
Deana Cannatelli
Went to Fitzroy Social on a Friday night and really enjoyed the chill and relaxing atmosphere. They had an extensive menu with a variety of different dishes, making it hard to decide - so went with a few small starters. The popcorn chicken were tender and crisp with a kick of spice, so good! As were the polenta and parmesan cubes, I would definitely recommend them! We also got the pumpkin and mozzarella arancini that melted in your mouth! The cinnamon sweet potato chips were nice but not a stand out compared to the other dishes. Overall it was an enjoyable dining experience!
Tim S
They treated us really well made sure we had a table and gave us extra food. Jugs were cheap too. Good fun with friends. The chips are awesome.

Sunday lunch, spanning across almost 2.5hrs at Fitzroy Social, from the creators of Father's Office, and The Bank on Collins; the Savvy Retail Group. They also operate Asian Beer Cafe (though that's a different type of place). Located at the former 'Little Creatures Dining Hall', (a craft beer bar) site located on Brunswick St, Fitzroy (ugh those two suburbs and street names!!) it's out East (right) when looking towards Melb Central from Flinders. Just a short tram ride from Parliament.
Emily
Best sweet potato chips I've ever had! The steak was cooked perfectly. I've been here a few times now and majority of the time the service is pretty good.
Penny Hope
Little Creatures it's not. WTH is with the pretentious roped off only with a reservation (even though there only four tables out of over 70 seatings) dining area. Man wouldn't allow us entrance or to make a reservation. Tempted to walk outside and call. While waiting for one starter and main (over 30 mins) groups of two, five and six heard the bizarre spiel and just left some people walked in, weren't even greeted and left. Strange allocation of jobs all bar staff were also servers no one dedicated to seat guests. Food okay don't think I'd visit again much better places in Fitzroy. <br/>

This place just opened about 7 weeks ago, used to be an awesome place - Little Creatures.<br/>Ambience is amazing and service is very attentive.<br/>Great to see a separate vegan menu but the zucchini and macadamia nut burger was ok with shoestring chips. <br/>Happy hour (5-7pm, 8-9pm from memory) offers some cheap but limited choices of wine, cocktails and beer.<br/>Desserts (popcorn pana cotta etc.) look quite yum and there's a tempting deal on offer.
J_cinta
The vibe was a little dull compared to Little Creatures (former dinning hall) but the food was delicious! I got the pie with slow cooked beef and mash on the side along some gravy sauce. It was actually a whole pie not just a pie in a dish with a pastry top which i frikken loved for a change! Really yum, lots of flavour the mash was really creamy too..both came out hot so i was definitely happy!
Luke 1339
Replacing Little Creatures would not be easy however I would have expected something a little more impressive than this. Whoever designed the fit out and the menu got it very wrong. This is not Fitzroy.... Food was underwhelming, service was average. The place has no buzz and no vibe, I don't wish unwell on anyone but can't see it lasting.
Tom
Went for lunch today with some friends. We stumbled upon this place by accident and thought it looked too quirky to pass up. Great open space, don't feel cramped, nice and bright - great setup. Greeted as soon as we arrived and seated. We all had the $19 lunch special and greatly enjoyed the food. Great prices. Service was good...actually a little too much. Maybe need to communicate a bit more so you don't overdo table checks etc but if that's the only down fall you're doing pretty well!! We will be back! Thanks :)
James
This will be measured by what is replaced, little creatures dining hall, not fair maybe, but honest. It does not stack up. Poor menu: burgers, pizzas etc, badly executed. Pizza was overloaded with cheese and the prosciutto was too thick to bite. Chips were cold. Ok beer and wine selection.<br/><br/>Service was terrible. Staff all heads down in the computer, no method, manager not directing traffic. Waited too long for food, too long for drinks, and saw our food sit on the pass for 5 minutes while staff were wandering around like Browns cows.<br/><br/>I cannot imagine they will last 6 months if they don't get their act together quickly.
Trent Reid
Had high hopes for this great space and was really disappointed. Such a disjointed concept from the fit out to the menu and it translates into the food. Burgers were stale, salty and lacklustre. Pizza was so confusing and sweet. Service was no better then the food. Perhaps its only saving grace is its competitive happy hour every day. A shame for a space that could have been so good
