The food could be delicious however had to wait 40 minutes for the food and for it to come out cold is super disappointing.
I’m also assuming there was a Sunday surcharge because everything was a bit more expensive than listed on the menu, almost $6 for a small lat
I really wanted to like this place.
The good: friendly staff, fantastic location, beautiful atmosphere and trendy patrons
The bad: slow service, mistakes with our food order, expensive and disappointed with the overpriced coffee.

Service was really slow, the presentation of the food was great but the taste…!!!! Awful! I got the hot cake and it was decorated with pavlovas which had a foul taste and smell to it that I was about to throw up!🙁 I had to take the very tiny bits of the pavlova out of my cake so that I could eat it!
Consistently incredible. I have been dining at Bentwood for years. I keep coming back because the food is top notch whether you go for a sweet or savoury option. Today’s breakfast didn’t disappoint

The grilled halloumi cheese, fig, mixed salad 🥗 was packed with flavour and texture. The smoked balsamic sauce and pumpkin purée enhanced the overall flavour.
