Review Attaboy Roy - Fitzroy

Here is my fav place :-) Sooooo yum and good mood But when I came to here little a bit uncomfortable. I am not good at English, but I try. When I ordered, I felt a little uncomfortable, they asking back and pretending not to understand. Everything else was good.

Attentive staff. Reliable service. Did not interrupt my meal (or wait till my mouth was full) to ask how it is going. The food was fantastic. Try the Trump Tower. It was beautiful. The coffee was really smooth and not over bearing. Wheelchair accessible entrance and outdoor seating available. Covered and uncovered. Heaps of Gluten Free and Vegan and Vegetarian options. Very well priced for quality of meal. Clean and well presented place. Alcohol available.

Good value and menu reads well but meals didn’t really deliver.

Nice coffee and seriously tasty croissants. However, no water with service and home made museli had a mere tiny dribble of yogurt - too dry to eat.

Great atmosphere and artwork. Staff were extremely nice coffee and food were delicious no more could be said

Tasty pasta at a reasonable price, I first noticed they were selling pasta at $10, I stopped by and ate, it was so good I came back a second time.

Green salad and eggs for brunch. My friend's burger was average but certainly looked good. Staff were so helpful. Coffee was pretty good. Portion sizes are good. Seems to be popular with locals. Dietaries catered for. Wheelchair friendly. Stroller/Pram friendly. Parking isn't too bad out the front but watch for those fast parking inspectors.

Great coffee and breaky! Staff were incredibly friendly.

Lots of tables inside and out, the café is quite spacious and simple.<br/><br/>I had breakfast a few months back and enjoyed a porridge, which was on the menu back then.<br/><br/>The porridge was creamy and had loads of fresh fruit.<br/><br/>Service was also friendly, as expected of the area and at 8AM.

Love going here for brunch ❤️

Lovely place to hang out on a bright day - they have big windows and wifi! Good vegan and vegetarian options. Crumbed mushroom from the breakfast menu was very flavoursome.

Came here as we were hungry. Was very disappointed when we came and no one gave us menus of waters. We had to go on Zomato to look for a menu. Kept waiting for service but never came. I went inside and made my orders. Still didn’t received any cutleries or water after ordering. Customers who came after us seemed to get serviced with water and cutlery. Their hot drinks even came out before ours. I had to go in and ask where is ours. They said they were low on staffs. Hey if you’re low on staff doesn’t mean the customer who came after gets the service. Still haven’t received our hot drinks after our food came out. Very disappointing

Interesting brunch and drinks spot in Fitzroy! Great coffee ☕️ and decent food with a relaxed and lively vibe. I had the big brekky (equivalent) and it wasn’t too bad :)

Exactly what you would expect in this part of town. Edgy, hip, cool and everything were reasonably priced. Great service is also a welcome bonus.

Went on a Saturday for brunch and everything was great, quick and attentive service, menu with a variety of options with reasonable price, great food tasty and beautifully presented. Overall a very pleasant experience😊

A light lunch was what I wanted! And a light lunch is what I got! They have plenty of great options on the menu at Attaboy, I’ve been told many times to get the big brekkie but this lunch time I had to be quick and wasn’t all the hungry. But what I had was quality.<br/><br/>The staff were great and is obviously a nice environment to work in. As 4 people gave in their job applications as I was there. <br/><br/>I had a very simple green salad, with a couple poached eggs and mushrooms.<br/><br/>It was great. Light and it did the job I wanted it to do.<br/><br/>Must go back to explore the other menu options! <br/><br/>8.5/10

My friends and I discovered Attaboy on our walk post-markets. We ordered the superfood salad, cheeseburger, steak sandwich and fries. Everyone enjoyed their meal, although my partner asked for the steak to be rare and it was closer to well done, if not a little chewy in texture. Tasty as ever though.<br/>The staff were so lovely and accommodating to our mimosa request! Three stars, albeit very close to four.

Visited for the 2nd time last Sunday. For the second time a very disappointing experience. Poor food, poor service served chutney with my toast instead of jam. Difficulty paying the bill. Very average coffee. There are too many great places around to come back here.

Attaboy Roy located on Brunswick Street Fitzroy is an excellent cafe serving all day breakfast along with a full lunch menu equipped with an extensive beverage list ideal for pre-dinner drinks or a lazy Sunday brunch. With both a large amount of outdoor and indoor seating Attaroy allows customers to soak up the relaxing Fitzroy vibes. <br/> <br/>On a classic sunny Sunday in Fitzroy Attaroy looked inviting buzzing with people enjoying the late afternoon sun feasting on mouthwatering food alongside a sneaky drink or two. After a quick glance at the menu we where sold and snagged a seat outside on Brunswick street in the sun. The seating arrangement has been cleverly put together with a mishmash of large picnic tables and small side tables with bench seating depending on your personal preference. We started with drinks ordering a long black as well as an iced mocha as we enjoyed the sun and viewed the diverse menu. Our drinks arrived after quite a while which is understandable since it was quite busy at the time. The iced mocha with ice-cream was delicious with the perfect coffee to chocolate ratio making sure it wasn’t to sweet. The long black was average, a rather bitter brew lacking acidity and overall texture. <br/><br/>We where asked if we where ready to order at least 5 times by the same very impatient waitress within the space of 3 minutes which was very frustrating. Fortunately another waitress attended to our table who was lovely and made great recommendations which saw us order the breakfast bowl as well as a savoury option of the breakfast burrito. <br/><br/>Time flew as we relaxed in the sun and before we knew it our meals where placed in front of us looking outstanding. The breakfast burrito with sunny side eggs, bacon, lettuce, black beans, tomato, jalapeño guacamole and feta in a warm tortilla with dded Soujouk sausage and spicy BBQ sauce appeared small but was a surprisingly filling dish. The tortilla held the contents well and the salty bacon and spicy kick from the jalapeños made each mouthful enjoyable. The smoking BBQ was decent but nothing special.   <br/><br/>The breakfast bowl composed of honey roasted oats and nuts, shredded coconut, currents, apricots and goji berries with fresh fruit and yoghurt was a large serve of crunchy oaty goodness. Littered with walnuts, almonds and dried fruit stuck together with sticky honey the granola style mix was delicious. Slightly on the overly sweet side the thick creamy tart greek yoghurt attempted to balance the dish along with the fresh berries but overall the palate was saturated by the sweetness of the honey. Other than being too sweet it was still an enjoyable meal and was certainly filling.<br/><br/>Attaboy Roy is a pretty cool spot in Fitzroy serving delicious food and drinks at a cheap price in a causal and chilled environment. Most of the staff are awesome ensuring customers are attending to in a resect manner. Coffee can be improved but since Attaboy runs more of a bar style menu it is clear that this isn’t their main focus. The menu offers something for all featuring multiple savoury and sweet options that can be altered dietary requirements.

Had to flag down staff to get a menu after being seated, then waited 40 minutes to find out they never lodged the order and still had to pay full price. No apology just it’ll take another 15mins for your food.

Had a nice experience there with my friend, we walked around a lot and decided to try Attaboy, it didn’t disappoint! Staff was very nice, I had the Thai beef stir fry which was delicious, my only complain would be that it had capsicum but it wasn’t mentioned on the menu, and I don’t like capsicum (no big deal though, I just picked it and put aside). My friend had a burger that she reckons was one of the best she had in a while. We’ll definitely come back with a bigger group :)

Food was good. Service was bad. Had to request cutlery and table got cleared while my brother was still eating his chips. Observed neighbouring tables request follow up on missing drink orders.

This place is always amazing. Food is fast and super delicious. Burger is yummy and fresh ingredients. Nice friendly waiters and good coffee. It where you wanna be to start your happy day 😊

Brunch on Saturday in January 2018. While not surly, the waitresses were expressionless, inattentive and had disinterested attitudes. Food was bland and servings fairly modest for the prices charged<br/><br/>Not worth the money or the time. There are definitely better places & value for money just a few doors away on the same street .....!!!

Food was terrible. Got the avocado and polenta. Polenta was dry and tasteless, avocado had tomatoes in it and tasted old and off, I could barely eat it. When I complained all I got was a cheery ‘sorry bout that!’ and was left to go on my way after paying in full for a crappy meal.

Was on my way to Rustica for lunch with my dog when it started drizzling. Decided to go to Attaboy instead because I could sit undercover. Service was friendly although a bit slow (probably because I was the only one outside). Prices for lunch dishes are fairly high. I decided to take a salad for $15. The flavours were nice but it was way too small for lunch (see photo). It was more like an expensive side salad. Probably wouldn’t go back as there are many better/better prices options nearby.

Beautiful looking cafe, food was reasonably priced. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was huge! I ended up having half for lunch and the other half for dinner. Service was decent.

We just popped in randomly and had a nice brunch. I love their crunchy homemade harsh brown, inside is so moisturised and creamy. The thick-cut ham also is a spot on, it keeps the crispy and not too salty. Some hams are too salty sometimes. The mushroom benedict is not bad too.

Was in on Sunday with a group of 10, this place is seriously funky. We sat down and were offered drinks by a female waitress, she definitely didn't seem like she wanted to be there - fair enough but not our problem.. coffee was amazing though! We all ordered breakfast whilst still waiting on 2 more people which was fine, ordered another round of coffees and then came the last 2 of our party, they ordered immediately from the lunch menu and their food was brought out well before ours (they were half done as our meals started to come out) <br/> The food was good, but not amazing considering the options close by; serves were perhaps on the small side, the breakfast burrito in particular. In saying this, prices definitely reflected quality and this place is great for a slightly cheaper brunch ($20 for coffee and breakfast)<br/> A tiny little sign on the register states they don't split bills on weekends, but being a group of 10 I'd have expected the waiter to have quickly mentioned it again to be safe, not a game changer - just good service. 10/10 for decor and fit out, will absolutely return in summer for a beer and a pizza as they looked and smelt amazing, but the service very much tied the line between banter-full and disinterested. Overall I'd come back here for an affordable, lazy/slow Sunday brunch or happy hours drinks and pizza - but I believe there's much better options close by where the staff make you feel warm, welcome and as though your business matters. <br/> Thanks guys, see you in the summer!

We chose this place because with a new baby and a pram finding a cafe that can accomodate enough space and doesn't require a 30 minute wait for breakfast can be difficult. <br/><br/>The waitress did mention to a table nearby that they were two staff down this particular morning. I appreciate the honesty and explanation because it took about half an hour for us to have our order taken. And remember the whole new baby thing, that doesn't generally go well. Especially when the baby is clearly not asleep but rather sitting up in our laps which then escalated to being rocked while standing up....<br/><br/>I had the pork belly benedict. It was very disappointing. Huge fat cap of pork belly, was slightly cold and I'm pretty sure there was a hair on the plate. <br/><br/>At least the coffee was half decent. Staff were doing their best. But it did take a good 15 minutes to come back with an answer regarding a dietary requirement.

Well present dishes, my Attaboy Special looked as good as it tasted. Interior is nice however it's a shame construction work is currently occurring next to the store. Kind and prompt staff.

Nice food, coffee, and not usually too busy on weekends.<br/>The wait staff have been pretty nice and the food comes out pretty quick. <br/>I'd recommend it
Nicole ✌️
The atmosphere was great and the decor was nice, however the porridge was bland. Definitely needed fruit to make it more fresh and tasty. The presentation reflected the flavour - not appealing. From what I saw, the other dishes looked alright. I'd consider returning to give another dish a go, even though the servings looked a bit small for the prices!
Sprinkles
Porridge was average, flavour was bland. Presentation reflected the flavour. Decor was nice otherwise. The staff were nice and Friendly! Just pretty average!

BEST HASHBROWNS AND RELISH WE HAVE EVER TASTED. Coffee was okay and bacon was slightly undercooked but we'll be back. The hashbrowns were absolutely incredible!
KC
Really underwhelming and overpriced. The baked eggs were flavourless and watery and the other meals we ordered were very small portions . Feel a bit ripped off for what we spent. Interior is lovely and the coffee isn't bad either however the food really let the place down and I won't be returning.

Looks great, staff were pleasant and the offerings seemed good on paper, but didn't translate well into what we received. <br/><br/>The pizzas were excellent. Truffle mushroom, yum! Even the crusts were fought over. Sadly the other menu items were disappointing. The burger was boring, a little of the small side for something so bland. The salad featured dry chicken and weird, crunchy pomegranate seeds. The burrito bowl was also weird, the description seemed great but it too was bland and a little weird. With so many great offerings locally it's unlikely we'd ever return.
Brunch On
Good coffee, decently priced food for once! One of the more calm places to enjoy a nice meal. Outside area is really cool and inside decor is minimalistic. Had the duck toastie which needed a sauce but was pretty good for the price you pay.
EP
A great layout, service is okay but staff constantly seem a bit moody or preoccupied (not many smiles or even words when orders taken or food placed down, conversations continued behind the bar even when a customer is waiting to pay/order a takeaway).<br/><br/>The fritters and the baked eggs with beans are delicious, but I've had a simple poached eggs on toast twice now and both times the consistency of the eggs is more like hard boiled - no run in the yolk at all.<br/><br/>I've never had a problem with the speed of service, but a more welcoming environment could really draw people back again and again

The Location and decor are awesome. Everything else... not so much. With so many other AMAZING cafes in the vicinity I have to say "don't do it to yourself"!! Take your hard earned money and go somewhere great. This cafe in Cranbourne or Phillip island would probably do really well but here it's not a good fit.
JT Esse
Staff were friendly and accomodating. We only came in for drinks on a Sunday morning. Relaxed atmosphere. Nice juices/hot chocolates . Breakfast bubbly available!

Took a seat outside and was served promptly. I had the burrito bowl and my sister had the Angus burger. Yummy. I'd like to come back for a drink and to try the coffee. Menu looked great and I'd like to try the rest!
Xia
My Fitzroy favourite now. Yay! Reasonable prices, great food and very friendly staff! The pizzas, toasties, and wraps are very tasty, and there is the alcohol!

You know when you're at work and you need to bother your boss about something, but you do so anyway even if you feel like you're being a burden?<br/><br/>That was how I felt when I needed to get the wait staff's attention after waiting 15 minutes (after being seated) just for a menu. That summed up the service on this day - passive. But the wordless and moody interactions were what made it border on rude and unwelcoming.<br/><br/>The food here was really quite good - corn fritters with a spicy egg scramble and feta, and a duck, halloumi, and mushroom toasty. The food hit the spot, coffee was okay without being great. The wait time for food was long though.<br/><br/>There's no escaping the fact that on this particular day - where there were plenty of staff and not many customers - the wait staff didn't want to be there. And the feeling became mutual.<br/><br/>This won't reflect on all staff and it may well have been a bad day - hopefully that was all. After two visits I won't be returning.

Atmospheres is great for sunny day- bright and well lit environment. We had the lamb wrap and the chicken tenderloins - both were very good!
Edible Melbourne
We decided to visit Attaboy Roy on a rainy morning. It was fairly busy in the venue but we were lucky enough to find a spot as soon as we walked in. We were seated promptly and to our luck there was one menu on our table for the three of us to have a look at.<br/><br/>Our waitress (a young, beautiful and smiley girl) did not come for our coffee order for another 10 minutes after we sat down. Once she did, she took our order and her bubbly attitude compensated for the delay. We ordered our food straight away without wanting to risk another late staff arrival to our table. <br/><br/>We decided on the pork belly with a potato hash, the magic mushrooms and the fritters with scrambled eggs. Our meals took approximately 35 minutes to arrive which we were not very upset with because the venue was quite busy and we knew in advance that Attaboy Roy was a new establishment. Our coffees, however, took about 40 minutes to arrive. That was simply unacceptable. <br/><br/>Our Pope Benedict was the nicest meal of them all. The pork belly was very nice, soft, tender and moist, yet the crackling was crispy and thin which made it easy to cut and eat. The hollandaise, however, was the quality of the one out of the paper carton they sell at the supermarket and the hashbrown was under seasoned and therefore, lacked taste.<br/><br/>The magic mushroom were overall nice, especially because of all the variation of different mushrooms (enoki, shittake, button). Most importantly the beetroot bearnaise with the hazelnut crumple added the most taste to the dish, however, the mushrooms lacked seasoning as well and maybe some different spices and herbs which are needed to make them tasty. The fritters were the most disappointing dish of our table. The scrambled eggs lacked taste and the fritters were dry inside.<br/><br/>Three dishes were definitely not enough since the portion sizes are very small. The three of us had to go for second breakfast to Industry Beans to make up for our empty stomachs. The coffee was nothing sensational yet not bad either. Nothing to return for, nevertheless.<br/><br/>The atmosphere of the venue is great. The high ceiling gives a certain openness to the place. It feels like the captain of the place is lacking direction as to where the business is going and the whole venue feels a little chaotic with a floor manager running the show a little unorganised.<br/><br/>Our waitress however was wonderful and very happy to help us with her broken accent that reminded a bit Spanish. Overall, the day felt a little understaffed too.

Affable, beautiful staff serving great, affordable cafe food in an awesome location! I'd know: I live three doors down.<br/><br/>Try the Attaboy (big) breakfast, trump stack, and the falafel or chicken tenderloin salads. A whole range of pizzas, a food Safari with Middle Eastern spices on your burgers and chips or a classic breakfast burrito, and sharing plates for $10-$20; croquettes, broccolini and eggplant, lamb kofta with yoghurt and pomegranate... Pastries to die for and coffee on par with Melbourne's best.
Peter Digby
Average service but nice place with great location . Such a pity to waste an opportunity. Two members of staff that made you feel like you were inconveniencing them<br/>
Clare
This place has a very cool interior. They offer a good variety of yummy, well-priced food. Our food came out quickly and was fresh and hot. Deserves a 3.5 because I would come again.
N
Food took ages to come and we left still hungry after having pretty average polenta with avocado dish and a breakfast burrito. Green juice and tropical juice would've been good with some ice. Our cutlery was also dirty. Not going back!

Our first pick for our squad New Year catchup lunch was closed for the holidays, so we gave Attaboy Roy a go. There was a nice crowd and the cafe is fitted out beautifully, making for yet another buzzy place on Brunswick Street. We may have just been unfortunate with our timing/ choice of day, but the food took a very long time and the service over the experience was iffy. The cuisine itself was solid with mighty points for taste and presentation but the quantities were shy of my appetite and the wait and service is a bit discouraging for a recommendation.

Terrible.<br/>My friend and I went here for coffee and breakfast. It took at least 10 minutes for anyone to come and clean our table from the customers before us. When we ordered our coffees it took another half hour to to get those and my chai was the worst chai I have ever had. It tastes like water. Then our food came - my friend had the breakfast burrito which was supposed to come with guacamole and beans but there was no guacamole and about one bean. I ordered the baked eggs. The toasted bread was completely cold and the eggs were so over done they were hard and rubbery. I will never visit this "restaurant" again and wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Edward Alexander
Probably the worst cafe I have ever been to in Melbourne. These are the reasons: <br/><br/>1. Had to ask for service to be seated. <br/>2. Wasn't provided menus or table water. <br/>3. Design flaw with the square tables along the window, as we needed to move our table every time a new customer needed to sit down on the table next to ours, as there was no means of side access. <br/>4. Orange juice is not fresh; it tasted like watered down orange cordial. <br/>5. We set a timer after we ordered our breakfast, it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive. <br/>6. Upon arrival, we didn't receive cutlery, when I asked they brought the bronze tin with dirty cutlery, only to receive a disgruntled response from the waitress when we asked for clean cutlery. <br/>7. I ordered the Trump Tower - I received 3 slices of bacon, a minuscule amount of avocado, 1 mushroom and 1 egg. Please explain why this is circa 18 dollars? <br/>8. The breakfast was bird size; left starving. <br/>9. When I told the customer sitting next to me, who was ordering, that my order was the Trump Tower, he asked the waitress to cancel his order and picked something different. <br/><br/>A complete a utter waste of time with poor customer service and poor quality food. Don't bother.
Mytina
Here are the facts:<br/><br/>1) food was good value (the duck was only $10 and was a tasty sandwich +small salad) and I'm happy with what I ordered<br/><br/>2) saw an adult cockroach scuttle under a (occupied!) table and disappear<br/><br/>3) two (maybe the same one) small flying bugs appeared while eating my salad (once on my finger while eating the sandwich, once in the remnants of my salad as I was finishing) <br/><br/>4) one of the only places open on New Year's Day (2 Jan)
Blair Jordan
Ordered coffee and food, was told it would be a half hour wait. Checked in 30 minutes later and they forgot to put the order through, no apology, no compensation offered.

We stopped here for brunch a couple days ago just passing by. We got the burger, chips and the attaboy breakfast. The food was okay, nothing special, the chips tasted old, the portion of the breakfast was small for $19 and my partner didn't finish his burger it was bland but okay. The service was strange. There were groups of people waiting to be seated and empty tables and the waitresses ignored them all until someone said something. The waitress seemed to have trouble understanding some of the customers. The lady next to us didn't receive her drink until after she had finished eating and the waitress argued it was because they make the juice fresh. She argued with all the people around us when she seemed to have put all their orders in wrong. She got ours right actually but my partner remarked how unfriendly she was. Perhaps they were having a bad day!
Zee Wason
Worst scrambled eggs I ever payed for. They dish looked terrible and I honestly can't believe they would serve something like thay.<br/>Focusing on the positives, the juice selection is good.

The granola is AMAZING! Perfect ratio of fruit and whole nuts with a really nice labne yoghurt however it wasn't as thick as normal labnes but still delicious. We got a table outside easily at 10am and I didn't eat again until 4pm - so filling! The service was friendly however we asked for a tea at the start of our meals and it took 15minutes to come out which by that time we had finished our meals - only negative from the meal otherwise a great breakfast spot to people watch along Brunswick St.

My vegetarian and I stopped in here for a quick burger on our way out to the Airport to pick up some friends, so this review will be very short.<br/><br/>It was okay. I may return to see whether or not it is any better, but I'm not in a huge rush. The spiced lamb and harissa wrap was a passing pleasantry, but nothing to dance about. Similarly, the haloumi burger was nice, but not great.<br/><br/>Meh.
MELANIE
Nice location but food is not that good, no seasoning and greasy meal of the day. Expensive for the value and the very tiny portion (if you want to eat very light, go for the paleo brunch). Won't repeat the experience. Sorry.

Goodbye Palinka welcome Attaboy Roy ....<br/><br/>Prominent corner location, it was lighter and brighter than before, clean cut renovation, smartly furnished, gotta love those slim plywood seat wire chairs, very smart!<br/><br/>Sadly, although cheap $8.00 for a small Soy Latte & Chai Latte, they were under-dozed, bland and just badly brewed. I've had Madamimadam's coffee blend before and they were good, so I'm lost for an explanantion.<br/><br/>Croissants and other sweets looks great, on the pricey side though $4.50 for a plain croissant.<br/><br/>Haven't tried their Menu yet, next time.
Alan
"It's the Vibe"<br/><br/>Had the Apple Crumble French toast; the food presentation is amazing; I generally refrain from food photos but felt compelled! Tasted as good as it looked; and the friendly, relaxed customer service of co-owner, Morris, made it an eating experience worth repeating. 5.0 on the Rating Scale
Always Hungry
Great concept, cool industrial look and friendly staff. But the food is not that good here. Menu looked so appetizing, but the dishes are actually very plain. The lamb wrap has no taste and the burger is very sloppy. The wine is good though :)
Good Food, Good Mood
Visited Attaboy Roy around Saturday lunch time and was pleasantly surprised that it was not obnoxiously busy for a new Brunswick St establishment. Got a table quickly ✔ Great coffee ✔ Extensive menu ✔ Ordered the Baked Eggs which was one of the best I've had - huge serving and very flavorsome. My mate ordered the apple crumble French Toast. Wasn't moist enough which made the crusts dry and inedible. All in all, a great experience and I'll be going back.
The Melbournian
One of the few cafes open early on weekday mornings on Brunswick st, clean & tidy, very friendly young lady who makes an excellent flat white. Tasty and well presented breakfast, despite some of the other reviews, I had a perfectly poached egg & chunky smashed avo on fritters with feta pieces inside.
Sam
Great food with a good vibe best pizza on Brunswick street highly recommended for dinner <br/>Would have this place as my regular pizza place in Brunswick
Leila
This new place is a refreshing change on brunswick street. Nice environment and really great service. The coffee is better than other places around and their apple crumble French toast is to die for! We will definitely be regular visitors.
Peter Evans
Great new place on Brunswick street, the pizza is so good , thin base with just the right amount of tasty fresh ingredients. Friend had smashed pea which was also top notch.
Ronnie
The place was looking so cool from outside that I decided to go in just for coffee. The staff was really friendly. After a quick look at menu I went for the smashed peas which was amazing!! The flavours were perfectly balanced, it was delightful!!!<br/>The atmosphere of the place is really relaxing and you could stay there couple of hours without get bored, just by yourself!<br/>I definitely recommend this place which became my place to go for breaky!!<br/><br/>

Can't express how let down I feel by this place now. This used to be my go to place but the menu change up has definitely changed that. My partner refuses to go there again after finding out that his favourite avo on toast has been replaced with dissatisfying polenta. I feel quite the same as the iced chai I ordered tasted like I was sipping on slightly flavoured milk. This place used to be our favourite place in Fitzroy with the exact right meals and pricing but with the menu change-up, it just isn't what it used to be. I hope they realise the change was a mistake. <br/><br/><br/> -August 2016-<br/>One word to describe this place: Amazing. Been here so many times. It's my boyfriend and I's go-to place, we are never disappointed when we go. Friendliest staff who have started remember us and I think our orders! Can't wait to go back again!!!!!
Little Miss Basco
Stopped by for a quick fix and pretty glad we did. This place has been opened for about a month now and starting to find its place on Melbourne's coveted Brunswick Street. The decor is sleek throughout with a delightful mix of minimal furniture and copper scaffolding for that modern industrial feel. Upon entry, you can see the well presented and delightful pastry offerings with staff ready to assist. We ordered our filled croissants and lattes and found a seat under the overhead heater. The place had a dozen or so patrons in for a cool afternoon and had a pleasant buzz to it. Always nice for staff to have a quick friendly chat with you while checking up if you needed anything else. This spot has churned out a few players over the years, but I think this crew has got the right idea to stay a while. See you again soon.

Checked this place out... My mum and I shared the southern fried tofu sliders and some chips/onion rings. Chips and onion rings were delicious with amazing seasoning, you could tell they were hand made. The tofu sliders were also good. It was easily enough food to feed both of us. The service was especially good also. Can't wait to go back and try their breakfast.

I'm a regular on Brunswick st and walked past this place and thought it looked pretty cool so we went inside for breakfast over the weekend.<br/>My friends and I ordered the smashed avo with poached eggs which to me, was a standard breakfast combo.<br/>They had forgotten our order and when it finally arrived the "smashed avo" was spread over the small pieces of toast like butter (missing the fetta that it was meant to be smashed with and the sprinkle of roasted seeds) and came with 1 poached egg when I had specifically ordered 2.<br/>I was so disappointed and hungry and by the time I had mentioned to the waitress that I was missing an egg I had finished my plate before she told to the kitchen that it was missing...So I had to walk over and cancel my missing egg.Let alone the fact that I didn't even get an apology and found this place incredibly over priced and tight on their ingredients.I wont be back and should of stuck to Babka's
