Review The Workers Club - Fitzroy

Tom
Great place with great live music. Although I was left with a bad taste after spending $70 on lunch and just before leaving wanting to grab a quick pot of coke, I was refused purchase as there is a $10 minimum for card purchases… I had no cash. Seems a bit tight when most pubs would just give you the drink in this situation. However, the food was beautiful but not being able to buy a drink after a meal is a bit ridiculous.

They say looks can be deceiving and WOW. This old bar does not disappoint. What an eclectic down to earth place. Art and posters done the walls of this 100 year old pub. The welcoming vibe and easy going staff are polite and friendly, looking the part in this space that encompasses music, art and culture combined with everyday life. Great beers, Absolutely beautiful food and a massive selection of entertainment scheduled through out the week. This place was buzzing on a Tuesday night I can only imagine how slammed it would be on a Friday or Saturday night. This gem of a place is a must if you like kicking back with friends and enjoying good company, food and music. 10/10 *****

Wonderful venue, great vibe, delicious pub fare coupled with outstanding staff and management. A slight, and I do mean slight mishap with one of our parmas. Hey, these things happen. The kind manager not only replaced it as promptly as possible, but gave us a round of drinks and them some. Now that's hospitality and service. I love being a regular at trivia at this local institution.

Workers Club is an interesting venue. The vibe is good, an upbeat and welcoming crowd. Drinks are good, just your usual pub selection. The downside was terrible toilets from a female identifying persons perspective. There are some male/female specific toilets and then a large unisex bathroom. Both the womens and unisex have been very dirty the 4 or 5 times I have been with water all over the floor. A lot of cubicle doors don't lock, and the toilets themselves are generally pretty gross, which sucks when you unfortunately need to sit on one. It seems they barely get cleaned. Not eager to go back

Rustic, charming venue. Staff are efficient and offer a warm smile. Great venue for up and coming artists. Live music is great

Rude bouncers, long queues and disgusting beer. It's only worth the trip if you realy can't spend more than 5 dollars on a night out.

venue manager is incredibly rude, changing up the rules around who is allowed into a gig. denied entry to a bands photographer despite her abiding by all of the government rules. sent her home crying, awful experience i will never recommend nor come back here.

Great place for a beer. Had some sour beers on tap which was nice. Bit of a rabbit Warren of rooms... Outdoor bit was nice until the rain set in. I was there on a Wed afternoon so it was a bit quiet. Would likely return for a meal one evening in 2022
