To my surprise this place has a fantastic beer garden that looks like it wouldn’t be out of place at your local beach.
The vibe is relaxed and chilled. What a perfect place for a drink... or maybe 2... or hahaha there’s no rush!

Great place to share a drink with friends - the beer garden is lovely and warm with the heaters in winter. We ordered nachos as a starter which were great and then I went for the steak. The steak was okay but it was a bit tough and difficult to eat. Customer service was fantastic.
This bar have great beer garden with a lot of seats beer and food here is cheaper than what would you get in Smith Street.

It's a cool spot for a drink. Staff are friendly! We went on a Friday night and there was a DJ and dance floor in the garden. Good vibes! It's chilled and happening at the same time.
Place has an old feel to it and it needs a good paintng and touch up, the service is really slow once you order your meals but the food is delicious so much so that my partner had two burgers....🍔. We will go back just for the burgers :-)
What a great weekend hang out this place is. I love the cosy beer garden, the tasty food and great tunes. Try the Lemon Meringue Pie cocktail- heaven in a glass!
A classic contemporary open spree pub ! Mostly filled with office crowd during the day but turns into a chilled laid back place in the evening ! Burger options are plentiful and they are alright ! Lookout for the everyday deals they are such value for money ! If you're looking for a place to chill and layback for a while, look no further !
Best place for after work drinks or Sunday Arvo. Great beers on tap, and cocktail jugs for a reasonable price. Can't go wrong with the eggplant chips either! Outside has a great tropical vibe, and perfect for that unpredictable Melbourne weather.
We usually enjoy going to the Fitzroy beer garden on Fridays for lunch with colleagues. The garden is lovely with all the plants you feel like you're u in the jungle. The $10 burger, chips and beer is an absolute winner. Thumbs up!
Well what can I say about this hidden gem. We had a perfect day to start with at a sunny 24 C...... the food was to die for and very reasonably priced..... and what a great range to choose from. We loved our cocktails of Pimms and Cosmopolitan.... the staff were friendly, efficient and had fabulous personalities...... if you are in Melbourne you have to stop by at this place...... thanks guys for a fantastic sunday arvo!!!!
Such a lovely beer garden, real cozy and homely. We got the famous fat eddy burgers and some fries with blue cheese sauce. Hands down the best burger I've ever had. If you're in Melbourne you need to make the trip down here and have one. Also the best blue cheese sauce ever. 10/10 worth coming to for all foodies and beer lovers alike.

Perfect for hassle-free dinner and drinks. I chose the Fitzroy Beer Garden for birthday celebrations. I was happy to have found a venue that provides average reasonably priced food and drinks suited to all budgets and accommodating for common dietary requirements- You cant go wrong with $16 parma! Eggplant chips were also a hit! I was also pleased that the venue takes a large reservation (without prior deposit or requiring a set menu), and allows people to order their food individually at the bar (to avoid the hassle of bill splitting later which was good for people arriving and eating at different times). Overall, everyone was really impressed by the venue and service. The beer garden is really relaxed, with plenty of shelter that retains the warmth from the heaters- perfect for cool autumn nights. There was a DJ playing good tunes. The music was not too loud, and we were all able to converse comfortably without having to shout at one another or pretend we could hear what the other person was saying to us. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Finally, there are Paddlepop ice-creams on the menu. What more could anyone want?!

Went for one drink....stayed all night. Last weekend I decided to take some friends who were visiting Melbourne to The Fitzroy Beer Garden for a drink as I was showing them around the Fitzroy area. We had only planned to pop in for one drink however ended up staying there all night. I didn't realise what a great value food menu they offered so rather then trying to find somewhere else to eat we thought we would give here a try and everyone was so happy we did! Between us we tried the Mussels and Fries, The Fat Eddy Burger (which was huge and so tasty), Chicken wings with Franks Hot Sauce, Fries, and Jerk Chicken, We were all really impressed, full and happy......and we still had enough money left over for a few more rounds of drinks. The place had a great atmosphere, the staff were very happy and helpful and I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Very enjoyable!. We went there on Sunday 9 March. Moomba was on so the place was empty. We ordered the cheeseburger special, which came with chips and a pot. $10. A decent burger should be big enough to fill you, and small enough to pick up & eat with your hands. These were perfect, and came with chips and garlic aioli. Beer was icy cold, staff were pleasant. The courtyard out the back is very quaint. Not sure what it would be like when the place is full, but we will certainly be back.
