Review Evie's Disco Diner - Fitzroy

My partner Charlie and I had our surprise wedding at Evie's. The venue and the staff were just so wonderful and made it the best day ever. They were super easy to deal with, the food was great and made all our disco surprise wedding dreams come true! Highly recommend Evie's.

Visited Evie's for the first time last night, & we really enjoyed ourselves! The decor was great, the staff were lovely, & the vibe was immaculate. The menu is great too, & really vegan-inclusive (thank you!!!). We'll definitely be coming back with more friends to enjoy the great drinks, & even experience some of their bingo/trivia/drag nights!

Just had a ball at this place. And we only stopped for a quick bite and a drink! The host, Amanda, made her presence felt early and was very gracious stopping to chat multiple times and cheering us up (after a snobby place up the road made us grumpy). We were actually seated outside the great tunes and action inside but with Amanda, the bartender, and the wait staff stopping and chatting at various times, we felt very very welcomed and part of the festivities. Thank you for a wonderful couple of hours, sometimes a bit eye-opening but wonderful warm vibe and you do hospitality the way it should be. We will be back for longer next time. Great venue.

Fun diner with a good selection of vegan food. Enjoyed going along with a large group! Music got quite loud once the dance floor started, so would recommend going early if you want to have a catch-up before having a dance šŸŖ©

Most amazing night if my life! Went for the bingo and not one complaint. Fun lively Environment with everyone dancing, the performances were phenomenal and on top of that the diner styled area was perfect ! We got the cocktail jugs which were amazing value and also later got the most delicious fries. Highly highly highly recommend.

Our night was awesome. Drag shows were excellent! Lexi looked after our table and she was an absolute rock star. She went above and beyond serving us and was just unbelievably friendly. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a fun night out

Spice girls trivia night and movie screening was a joke! Their food was pretty good and drinks were expensive but to be expected this close to the cbd. But the drag queen clearly had zero spice girls knowledge and got a few questions very wrong (also only two rounds - what??). And whoever was running the night kept cutting the songs off halfway through/ending the film early. Unacceptable from the perspective of a spice girls fan. Vibe was good and can see how it would be nice for something like bingo but donā€™t mess with the spice girls if you donā€™t know them!
Brian
Fun vibe, good food and friendly service. Atmosphere is a little chaotic given the open plan layout with a cage fence hand rail around the second floor which encircles the dance floor on the ground floor. Large groups will be split up but small groups can cosy up in their own diner booth.

I really like Evieā€™s. The fact that itā€™s an old school diner is just so cool. But the fact that they have an entire vegan menu is even cooler. My fave is the chicken burger, it tastes so real. They also do delicious milkshakes, you can even make it a boozy shake if you would like. Over all a really cool place!

I went there on my birthday with group of friends and the place was having such a good vibe and plenty of options in terms of seating . On a Thursday at around 5 it was so uncrowded perfectly what I wanted and had free games to play with and we had a cocktail jug and burgers nachos and tacos which were good among all I really liked their cocktail and their tacos

If you like groovy music, mouth watering diner style food, friendly staff and good vibes than Evies is the place for you Boo! 100/10 xo

Iā€™ve been here several times and the quality of the food is inconsistent. The food isnā€™t the most flavoursome and lacks seasoning. Itā€™s pretty basic and boring, nothing to rave about and definitely not worth the price point. Thereā€™s much better vegan restaurants in the area.

I havenā€™t been here for a while so I called in with a mate for a quick drink. The service was friendly and attentive.

The frozen margaritas were excellent, really tasty lol. If you want to go somewhere for some good vegan and non-vegan food in a fun relaxed environment then this might just be the place for you.

Original review
OMGosh people!! I am a generally a carnivore at heart but Iā€™m weakening hahaha especially when I get to try THE moat amazing VEGAN cheeseburger that one ever eaten!

There is a new chef at Evieā€™s and he can cook. My vegan burger was full of veggies and incredibly tasty! And not greasy thankfully.

I had some onion rings and the batter was excellent, the onion rings were man size lol and once again they werenā€™t greasy. Yummo

We also tried the vegan (hot) dog of the day which was delicious. The roll was good, and the vegan ingredients were light and tasty.

The interesting thing Iā€™ve realised about vegan food is that I donā€™t feel bloated after my meal exit is really good.

In saying that I did try a beef cheeseburger which was really tasty, just to see how it compared to the vegan burger and it was equally as good.

This place pumps out some old school tunes, and they sell my most current favourite beer, Boatrocker Miss Pinky - Raspberry Berliner Weisse which is sweet and sour! Yummy hahaha

This place was really impressive and itā€™s a must try! Itā€™s just amazing! Il be back shortly for another vegan burger :)

VeganeatsM Vegetarian Food Lover Aman Saraf

The food is pretty good, though the vegan philly cheesesteak could definitely be filled up a bit more, and maybe some spices/seasoning on the chips. Maybe some side salads would complete it too. Prices aren't bad. I'll come back to try a parma. The music is absolutely terrible, bad remixes of bad songs, I expected 70s and 80s pop and disco music, would have fit the look of the venue more. Also the music was too loud, it was hard to talk. Also it was too dark, could barely see the food and the menu was hard to read.

This fabulous and fun venue is one of my faves in Collingwood!Ā

I love love love that almost everything on the menu can be made vegan. I've been a couple of times and tried some AMAZING cheesy fries, burgers, chicken n waffles, pancakes... all vegan! The drinks and cocktails are delish too.Ā

This venue is super welcoming, colourful, fun, and the team are friendly! Would definitely recommend trying their BOOZY BRUNCH on the weekend, or going for dinner during the week to try one of their many decadent meal options!

We all really wanted to love this place but our experience was ruined as our order was incorrect and the vegans in the family were given real chicken instead of the fake chicken they ordered. Staff apologised but then said that ā€œthese things happen sometimesā€ which is unacceptable to say to a customer. It was also very cold in there and we had to keep our jackets on the whole time. We made a quick exit and it put a damper on the night as we were celebrating a birthday.
Cristina
Tried Evieā€™s for the first time last night and was utterly disappointed. My friends were satisfied with their choices but I canā€™t say the same. Just bad luck. Ordered something from the specials menu (pumpkin and potato gnocchi with bacon and cream sauce) and it took more than 30 minutes to come out and it was so plain and flavourless and I didnā€™t even get any bacon in it.
Service wasnā€™t the greatest, tables werenā€™t cleaned properly prior sitting down.
Probably not enough for me to give it another chance.
Eeleen
So impressed that every menu option had a vegan option. I had the vegan fish burger and it was very delicious! The taste and texture were both spot-on, but not off-putting. Serving sizes were great too. Overall very impressed.
Bobby
Great choice of vegan food, that is well priced.

Went on a Saturday night at about 9:30, the place was full, with music and dancing. Still able to get a table. Once ordered, the food arrived quickly and was tasty.

Good choice of beers too.

Evieā€™s is such a funky venue offering disco, vegan friendly diner food and great vibes. Menu is equally delicious as it is fun with cheesy Mac and cheese, waffles and my favourite...boozy shakes like cookies and cream or Reeceā€™s pieces! Highly recommend for good times

We had tried out Evies Disco Diner for dinner and hereā€™s some of our favorites:

Fried chicken and waffle with ice cream - as the name and picture suggests, this combo was pretty much what I had imagined! Crispy and juicy fried chicken and crunchy waffles and ice cream that melts into your mouth! Canā€™t forget about the maple syrup for sweetness! It was good to have savory and sweet working together!

Beef burger and Mac daddy - this is pretty much beef patties stacked up with a Mac and cheese ball! Beef was juicy and the Mac and cheese ball was a perfect addition to add the cheesiness of the burger!

Loaded fries - served with cheese, chipotle mayo, bacon and chives! This was such a yummy side as it the chips were full of flavor and the bacon was crispy and juicy! The combination worked well together and it was not overly salty!

Cookies and cream milkshake - as the picture suggests, you could actually taste the cookies and cream and it was super smooth and sweet as!

It was a yummy dinner at Evies and we would visit again to try the rest of their menu!

This spot has some really awesome and delicious diner-style dishes! They even have vegan options for almost everything on their menu which I thought was really impressive.

We ordered the following:
Cookies and cream milkshakes
Hot wings (regular version & vegan version)
Chilli non carne cheese fries (vegan)
Pumpkin soup in a cob loaf
Fish burger
Cheese burger with a mac & cheese croquette
Chicken & waffles
Churros with cinnamon

I really enjoyed the hot wings (the batter was really crispy and the meat was juicy), it wasnā€™t actually spicy though!
Quince And Cheese
The fact that basically every single thing at this diner-meets-bar-meets-nightclub can be veganised makes it an extra special place. And the fact that it's so nostalgic for me as an American expat increases the appeal. The large warehouse venue slings all your favourite diner dishes from burgers and shakes to chicken wings and loaded fries. It was a real treat to be able to try a super rich peanut butter and chocolate milkshake made dairy free. I didn't get mine spiked but was really tempted by the option.

If you want to balance out all that sugar, I recommend the vegan cheeseburger, topped with every condiment imaginable and served with crinkle cut chips. I know I haven't had meat in a while so maybe I'm biased, but the "beef" patty could've fooled me. If you want your sweet and savoury in one dish, go for the vegan chicken and waffles. It's rare to find this dish in Melbourne let alone a veganised version so it's exciting to have found a place that not only offers it, but does it really well. While the waffle is dusted in powdered sugar and doused in maple syrup, the spicy, salty chicken provides balance.

Evie's recently added a few winter specials to the menu including a kale, beetroot, carrot and pecan salad that, as my friend described it, "makes eating your vegetables fun". I also sampled the cheesiest vegan pasta (can style) I've ever had and some piping hot, cinnamon sugar dusted churros. While there were so many other dishes that took my fancy (non dairy fondue in a bread bowl, vegan strogonaff the), I left way too full to even think about ordering any more. I guess I'll just have to go back.

4.5 Great, smiley staff, a unique concept and delicious food, itā€™s hard to find something not to love about Evieā€™s ā€“ Fitzroyā€™s vegan (or not) disco diner.

Burgers were a highlight. Love the vegan hot dog! Great taste and texture. Chips were also good however a little on the salty side. The wait for food is abit long

love this place!!! come here all the time. they have both a vegan menu and meat menu, so everyone is happy. the vegan Reeceā€™s pieces shake. is. the. best.

the events they put on are also really good; trivia Tuesdays, drag nights, game shows etc!!!

the staff are amazing; all so cool, friendly and quite frankly beautiful.
Caitlin Crowley
Evieā€™s is a great inclusive venue! They have a great vegan menu that is also interchangeable and items can be made non-vegan. Yummy cocktails, friendly staff and funky tunes that will get you dancing šŸ’ƒšŸ» Also heaps of fun events to check out like trivia, RuPaul screenings and female wrestling!
Rico Santos
Remember the days when I would get so jealous when all my friends would order food and I canā€™t have them because Iā€™m vegan. Thanks Evies for making an all vegan menu which is also interchangeable with non-vegan items, so all of my friends and Iā€™s dietary needs are catered for. The prices are also very good for both drinks and food.

Also, they have amazing events lined up all the time from trivia, to drag, to wrestling, to amazing DJā€™s. The bar staff are always a hoot and are all amazing!

Highly recommend! Definitely check Evies out!

This upbeat venue oozes cheer and Ā itā€™s impossible not to smile when you walk in the door and the interior is just simply stunning with neon, mirror balls and an amazing soundtrack. We sat at a narrow booth and soaked up the atmosphere a while before ordering cocktails burgers and sides.

Tonight at Evies we snacked on deep fried pickles and sipped on bloody delicious cosmos and an Aperol spritz. All I can say is beware of the delightful deep fried pickles, they stay piping hot (nuclear hot) for ages. Ā I thought the chipotle was a great accompaniment and added a spicy smokey dimension.

For mains we munched on the Phyllis oā€™ phish, the Mac daddy and sweet potato fries.

The fish in the Phyllis was succulent in the middle and encased in a sweet crispy batter, I really enjoyed these flavours mixed with the pickles slaw and brioche. Ā This adult version of a fillet o fish was an absolute winner in my book.

The Mac Daddy, triple stacked, two patty, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickle on a sesame seed bun... sounds like a wining combination. Looked like a winning combination. They can even make it vegan!!! I wasnā€™t sure whether my patties were the vegan ones or not because they were not pure beef and more sausage meat like and I did hear from someone else that had eaten here previously that it was hard to tell the vegan from the meat options! Impressive.

OMG, these sweet potato fries are spectacular, piping hot, with a crunchy spicy seasoning and a divine dipping sauce. I never knew it was possible for sweet potato fries so crispy, crunchy and flavorsome.

The incredible thing about this menu is every item appears to be offered in vegan form and for us non vegans we enjoyed the flavours in the standard menu.

Would defiantly consider coming back here for some of the fun events they seem to regularly schedule. Womenā€™s wrestling, trivia night and a boozy brunch would be popular options to consider.

Thanks for inviting us to dine in.

I was super excited to be invited to try Evieā€™s Disco Diner, as I have never been anywhere like it in Melbourne! Situated on Gertrude St Fitzroy, itā€™s a super hip area, and so bustling with a lot happening around the 6pm mark!

We walked in and immediately loved the fun disco interior - mirror balls, neon signs, tinsel, diner style booths and an awesome dance floor. The music was the best - retro disco classics that made me want to get into the groove! Not to mention the very cool retro video games set up around the venue - Atari, and car simulation games, as well as foodball, with all games free to play!

We ordered the Mac Daddy burger, Evieā€™s cheeseburger with bacon, and the Evieā€™s snack pack loaded fries. We were happy with the burgers- good size, plenty of pickles, and the burger sauce was delish. The loaded fries were great as well - the sauce was reeeeally good!! The menu indicated pulled beef on top, however it was more like beef slices. They were very tender and fell apart, just as they should!

For drinks we had the Pretty in Pink and the Breakfast Club cocktails. I loved the Breakfast Club - it was so delicious with that peach purƩe, I could have had many! The Pretty in Pink was great as well - just the right level of sweetness. Both looked super pretty as well, always adds to the experience!

All in all a really fun and enjoyable experience - a great place for a night out with some burgers!

What a fun and vibrant and uique diner this is. It's like you're stepping into a time warp, and I loved it. We started with a frozen cherry cola and reeces pieces shake. The shake was so good and the peanut butter flavour put a smile on my face.We then tried the vegan mac and cheese, which was so impressive. We both loved it and couldn't stop eating it. Cheesy and rich but without that super guilty feeling. We also tried the chicken and waffles, the hot dog and the deep fried pickles. The pickles were fried whole, so they looked like little corn dogs.Ā Because they were whole, you got a good chunk of that pickle flavour in each bite. Served with a spicy dipping sauce, if you love pickles, then this is the dish for you.The chicken and waffles were served with a hot sauce and a sweet syrup. This wasĀ aother highlight for me. The chicken was crumbed and deep fried and I couldn't stop dipping these morsels into the syrup.Ā Ā The hotdog was simple but still packed a flavour punch. I hate when hot dogs have that red skin so I was pleased that this one didn't. With onion, ketchup and mutard on a soft white bun it was delish. If you want something fun and unique with good food, then definitely give Evie's a go. Thanks for having us!

Thanks to Tim.Eā€™s recommendation I went to Evies Disco Diner on Friday night. The place was loud with many drag queens and free live entertainment. I ordered the vegan cheeseburger for $12 which is quite reasonable these days for a burger. The burger was huge & the pattie tasted freakishly like meat! I think my vegan cheese burger was even larger in size than my friendā€™s meat cheeseburger. I also had some tasty fries. Thanks again Tim.E for sharing this place!
Best place to eat American dinner with vegan option for all of the menu nice drinks and really good service defiantly I recommend this place.
Kate
Absolutely terrible. We waited an hour for fried pickles. Burgers were average-the buns were stale. The music was so loud we couldnā€™t hear each other. Donā€™t bother
Yumyumfoodyum
2.5 The food was decent, with ample options for the vegans in our group. We ordered the mac and cheese which was tasty and gooey, deep fried pickles which had excellent dipping sauce and the loaded tots which were meh.

The service was a let down with our food coming before the cocktails we ordered. I had to remind them of our drinks order, a small issue and forgivable if busy, but the place was almost empty. I loved the decor but overall the whole venue was a bit sticky and dingy.

I went here for lunch with a few friends and had a great time. The food was overall pretty good, and they have a HUGE selection of vegan options which is great. It did take pretty long for us to get our food even though the restaurant was almost empty at the time, but I was told this was due to a lot of orders coming in through online meal delivery services right before we ordered. My favourite dishes were the vegan chicken and waffles and the vegan ESP, however the mac n cheese did let me down slightly, I wish it had a bit more flavour! *Sponsored free meal

Sadly our group tried Evie's last night, not a good experience at all, I ended up going to the Mexican restaurant next door and leaving my meal from Evie's.
The food was cold, our order was incorrect, the quality of the food is really below average (Hence I went next door, Trippy Taco do really good food) The manager was rude, unhelpful., the floor staff look like they don't want to be working there, and once again the food was atrocious.. I wish I could give this place 0 stars I was so unimpressed.Ā

Thanks Trippy Taco for saving the night
Steph
The manager was rude to our entire table and the food is of poor quality, if we could, we'd ask for our time and money spent back. Tacky venue has been taken to a new level.Ā

I wouldn't recommend this venue at all.

3.5 With a quirky retro fit out and a disco theme, Evieā€™s Disco Diner provides a quick and affordable feed that wonā€™t break the bank.
While the food here may not blow you away, Evieā€™s does dish out some perfectly serviceable burgers and chips that definitely wonā€™t disappoint before, or after a big night out!

Great food. Great service. Disco vibes are back! Music is spot on. Caters for vegan diners and veggie diners. American disco diner with a focus on awesome vegan and non-vegan bites. Will be back!
MelbFoodie74
Went on a Wednesday for 'Johnny Rock''s pop culture trivia was hilarious, was also $1 wing night which was a bonus, 80s decor on point, good craft beers on top and cheap and really good American Diner style food, had the mac and cheese loaded fries and the reuben, my friend said the vegan chicken burgers was awesome also has free foosball!!
Christine.Deslandes
Food was overpriced and average at best. Ordered one of the vegan chicken burgers expecting the vegan chicken to be made at the restaurant but it was one of the bland store brought Quorn chicken pieces. Couldnā€™t even eat the so called slaw on it which just consisted of bitter raw cabbage. Was really excited to try out this place but was left bitterly disappointed
Josh Heilbuth
Good vibes, good food and friendly staff. Had a few burgers with my friends and it was very tasty. Would highly recommend to any vegan for a cheap bite !
Cheezy Rider
Super fun joint!Ā Retro decor but w modern sensibilities, had a killer DJ playing when we visited on Saturday night and dancefloor was busy! The glass straws are a nice touch.Ā Classic Americana with loads of vegan options and some nostalgic fun dishes, homemade choc tops, banana splits etc.Ā Will definitely visit again.
Mansala Johnson
One of the most incredible places I've been to, if you're vegan I could not recommend this place enough. It's clear that this business has paid a lot of attention to providing its customers with a welcoming, innovative, aesthetically pleasing and creative atmosphere and the food is just impeccable!!! The business is environmentally conscious as well, serving drinks with glass straws. Will definitely come here again and eager to share this place with everyone I know. ALSO there are plenty of games for visitors to play!
Good Food Good Mood
We were invited to Evieā€™s last night and I definitely appreciated the unique atmosphere. It offers American style diner food in an 80ā€™s style disco environment, mirror balls and all. They cater to their environment being located in Fitzroy and having a menu that is quite vegan friendly (but donā€™t worry you can get real meat too).

You order at the counter and we began with a sav blac (also vegan) and a Reeceā€™s pieces shake. The shake I found was quite bland lacking a strong peanut flavour. The food came out relatively quickly and we had the vegan eggplant wedges, chicken and waffles, shoestring fries, chicken burger and the Philly cheesesteak bowl.

The burger was just average for me with a high bun ratio and a bun that was a little too charred. The chicken and waffles werenā€™t bad but definitely had too much maple on them. The cheesesteak bowl was a little disappointing in that the meat lacked flavour and the sweet potato fries it came with were definitely undercooked.

We hoped to fare better with deserts and ordered cinnamon doughnuts and blueberry bread and butter pudding. We were effectively served two Coles doughnuts with some icy chocolate ice cream and while the doughnuts tasted good you kind of expect more then that at a restaurant. The bread and butter pudding again had unbalanced ratios. It would have fared better had the blueberries been inside rather than heaped on top. Atmosphere is one thing but the food failed to impress

Went here a few weeks back for dinner and drinks with a few girlfriends I really wanted to love this place but sadly it's pretty average :(Ā

Pros:

Great music

Amazingly yummy cocktails and spiked milkshakes (oreos/cookies and cream one was to die for)

Really cool and on-theme decor

Cons:

Staff were unenthusiastic and seemed like they didn't want to be there - kinda ruined the vibe of 80's disco

Bar service - I have no issue with bar service when it comes to drinks, but food really should be done with table service (our food was nearly given to another table because there are no markers/numbers on the tables)

The food - I ordered the fish filet burger and the 'tartare sauce' was utterly disgusting and completely inedible - had to scrape it off (even got my friends to try it in case i was going crazy and they also hated it.) I also ordered just the normal mac and cheese and the waitress gave me the vegan option (verbally confirmed it was the vegan one), which I didn't ask for - I have no issue eating vegan but the mac n cheese was tasteless and would have definitely preferred the normal cheese version.

You guys have so much potential to kill the game with this place (such a good concept!) but sadly it's totally lackluster - fix your food and your service and I would 100% recommend going here, until then, just stick to the drinks.
Dylan Company
Cold and soggy chips, cheese on the burger wasn't even melted - comparable to silicon.
Burger was tasteless
McDonald's and KFC are better
Management also rude
I went here for the first time around a month ago. I absolutely love it! Cute, kitsch bar in Fitzroy opposite the beer garden. DJ is always on point, so always a good night out. The staff are super friendly, service is quick, and there is always a good crowd. Best thing is, the drinks are reasonably priced. Love it.

On Friday night we headed north side to check out @eviesdiscodiner. Super cute interior with disco balls, funky lighting, retro tunes and old school games. DJ playing during the night and loads of people dancing. Plenty of seating catering for couples and larger groups - really popular with the uni crowd so we recommend you book on the weekends.
The menu is American diner themed, really well priced and has a good range of delish cocktails - we had the choc orange espresso martini which was fantastic and totally tasted like chocolate orange (see pic). You order at the bar, service is pretty efficient and the meals didn't take too long to come out.
The menu is super vegan friendly which made me so excited to be able to order loaded fries with mac and cheese. I was even able to order vegan milk shakes (which you can have spiked if you like) and the most amazing vegan chocolate mousse! You seriously will not be able to tell.
It has a multi level interior and a small courtyard out the back so can cater for parties and events. A fun idea for you next date night, plus it's family friendly.

We ordered the Choc espresso martini | cheese burger | vegan loaded mac and cheese fries | vegan choc mousse |vegan burger | cinnamon donut with eggnog and choc ice-cream

Booked Evies's Disco Diner based on reviews and the theme....
Seated at a bar table with stools, there was no music and hardly any seating.
Apparently Friday is trivia night? Great to find out when you arrive.
No table service - order at the bar, everytime you want something situation.
Went to order a Pina Colada - no pineapple.
We took our party of 7 elsewhere ā˜¹
Had high hopes for this place, wasn't even a staff member in sight!

My friends and I came in a few weeks back and I'm sorry but this place was mediocre.

Only reason I created this account was to leave a review for these reasons..Ā

The food is too overpriced for what you're paying for. Supermarket bread rolls for their vegan burger and hot dogs!? We shop at Coles, we've seen the buns there..Ā A Philly Cheese Steak that's not even a PCS???? If you're going to make a traditional American classic, at least do it right, you serve it in a Turkish bread roll, wtf?Ā Aren't you meant to be an American diner? LOL!!!Ā

Don't cheap out and maybe up your bread game, paying high end for burgers and hot dogs that are the same as what you'd expect at your 4yr old nephews themed birthday party at Bounce, is pretty embarrassing if you ask me.Ā

Not sure if it's the owners fault for allowing this crap to be sold or the head chef? Your menu should be half the price for what you deliver.Ā

Apart from that the service was great and the idea has potential, It's a bit tacky though, it's like someone is trying too hard to make the venue into something that's it's really not.

The only saving grace was that Trippy Taco was next door, we ordered their fries after we left to satisfy us after a -5 rating meal of supermarket food.
Annie Bradlow
This place is a dream!
The food is delicious, best onion rings of my life - and the mushroom gravy tastes just like meat! The menu has so many vegan and GF options so its great if your friends all have different dietry preferences like mine do.
I really love that they use glass straws, the toilets are gender neutral and its wheelchair accessible - it really feels like they make the extra effort to be ethical and inclusive.
The decor feels like stepping into the San Junipero episode of Black Mirror - so many electric 80s vibes and bright colours :)
Loveroffood
Love this place!
Always good music and vibe, food is well priced and delicious. The jalapeƱo poppers are amazing, vegan as well. Service is great, super friendly staff. Friday and sat nights are fun for a boogie!
Lilly Hooper
Love the Tuesday trivia nights because there is a large range of questions and games but unfortunately itā€™s pretty empty and awkward most other nights. The espresso martiniā€™s, although tiny, are INCREDIBLE. Have only eaten the vegan nachos here but theyā€™re tasty as. Definitely needs to play more Belinda Carlisle.
Spirited Stardust
We had a fantastic time here with the kids.
They loved the blue and pink theme and has fun playing foosball. Hubby and I enjoyed the music but because it was in English the kids didnā€™t feel like dancing to it.
I had the vegan hsp with jackfruit which was delicious (a touch spicy for me) as well as the gf waffle with peanut caramel maple ice cream - super yum!
Kids had the vegan Mac and cheese and a super big banana split - also delicious.
Hubby enjoyed his Evie burger as well.
We loved the food and had a great time - will probably head back with hubby for a night of dancing too.
Caroline Beaney
I went to Evie's Disco Diner on March 29 for dinner. The place had a great vibe. My friends and I chose to eat upstairs, we sat near the DJ and were able to listen to the music and watch customers dancing downstairs. We had so much fun dancing to the music and singing along. We danced until we had no option but to sit down because we were so tired.Ā

The food is a bit so so. I ordered the vegan hot dog but I found the mock meat sausage to taste very strange and artificial. It was safely the worse mock meat I had ever eaten. I would suggest they find a better supplier. My vegan friend also ordered the hot dog and she liked it, however she has never eaten meat before so she cannot compare it to the original. I am not vegan however I enjoy eating mock meat sometimes, and often I am surprised how accurate the taste is, on this occasion I found the mock meat to be terrible.

I did enjoy the vegan soda float though. The cherry was superb and the cherry coke was of high quality. The nachos were nice too - way better than the hot dog. I also liked the jalapeno poppers - they were amazing. It would be nice if they could make a vegan jalapeno popper so my friend can also eat them as well! I definitely wouldn't eat the hot dog again but I would come back for some of the other food and drinks AND OF COURSE, I would come back for the dancing and music!Ā

Thank you for the fun night Evie's Disco Diner!

Not coming back here.
Place was empty, only one other couple here and we waited 5 mins for our drinks, which was fine but over 20 mins for our food.
When it arrived, the burger contained items that were asked to be removed, looked like it had been slapped together. The bun was too thin and the patty was too dry with an enormous amount of sauce, making the bun extremely soggy.
Thankfully the staff were welcoming which was nice, would be a nice place to go for drinks but would not recommend coming here if you want to go out to eat.
