I love this place so much, As a plumber I was working near this shop for a year. The food every single day I went was amazing. It’s a shame they are only open in my work hours 6am until 3pm because I don’t work near them anymore. So on my days off I go in and eat their amazing sandwiches. I actually make a reminder in my calendar on my days off to go in, that’s how good an impression they left on me. The girls are so kind and polite you’ll be so happy with your experience

On one corner you have the ever popular Belles Hot Chicken (future review coming), go down the road (Napier Street), and you'll get Nick's Food Corner. What an experience this place is. Couldn't think of a better, cheap, delicious lunch time option to test your palate. Explore their extensive menu. Fried rice to bagels. Wraps to Sandwiches. Try their hot, delicious coffee. Creamy, smooth milkshakes. Have yourself a $1 crunchy, mouthwatering potatoe cake. But most importantly, remember to have a chat to Lilly and staff. They're the second best thing about this place (the food is number 1!).

The chicken schnitzel sandwich is the best! Huge, flavourful, juicy, tender and everything! Their sandwich is the best I’ve ever had, across a lot of bakeries and cafes. And definitely try their potato cakes, so crunchy and tastes so good with their flavouring! 100% satisfied!

King of corners. Staff are next level friendly. If you go there enough they remember what you order. I order the schnitzel sand which. Arguably the best schnitzel in the inner Melbourne suburbs. Now they're doing sand which promotions where you get a cheaper one and a free drink every couple of schnities. Unreal. Always has me coming back for more.

-Absolute gift from the gods <br/>-there is nothing more life changing than Big Nickkos<br/>-I font quit know how they make there Chicken snitzel but boy oh boy wowee, The total package.<br/>- words cannot describe the feeling of that first initial bite of a potato cake from Nickos, after long thought the only thing I can some it up as, its like being punched in the mouth by Floyd mayweather, its a high sodium/chicken salt and slight pepper topping as it hits extremely hard. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end though, which is why you need to keep going back.

It is difficult for me to describe the intense feeling of pleasure I experienced yesterday when I dined at Nick's Food Corner. Hidden behind a deceptively humble facade and an interior obviously paying homage to takeaway stores synonymous with the Fitzroy area is an extraordinarily enriching culinary affair. Normally, a queue extending well beyond the door for a table would stretch my patience as a busy and well-travelled food critic, but there is a certain aura surrounding this restaurant that caresses you into a sort of prolonged nostalgic satisfaction very rarely felt in life. I'd like to borrow and distort a passage penned by the legendary Parisian writer Anton Ego: "To say both the meal and its presentation have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core."<br/><br/>Like a massage of the senses and of the consciousness. A compliment to humankind's delusions of shrewdness. It is the sort of place you simultaneously want to tell everyone you've ever met about whilst also keeping it a secret.

Tandori Chicken Wrap. I've never taste TANDORI chicken like this before.a little spicy and a little sweet. it's perfect.

All-rounder lunch counter. There's nothing fancy about Nick's -- it's your basic dinky-di brekky and lunch counter. Not boho chic like so many places in funky Fitzroy, but not beat-down or daggy, either. You can get a fresh salad knocked out for you as well as non-nutritious (but traditional) items such as sausage rolls. I ducked out for a tea break one arvo whilst working a shift at St. Vincent's Hospital for a quick steak sanger with the lot. The sliced beef was sorta tough, but a steak sandwich is supposed to be working man's food, not frou-frou cuisine, eh? Bacon, eggs, lettuce, tomato -- it was the breakfast I skipped that morning. If you want a solid meal, made to your order, but nothing trendy, Nick's is the go.
