Review Kings Corner Thai - Five Dock

WARNING DO NOT EAT HERE This is the number one WORLDS WORST chicken Pad Thai we have ever eaten, seriously if I could give it 1/ 4 of a star I would . The one small piece of chicken you can see in the photo is the only piece I had in my meal the same as the other 4 people eating with me , one piece of chicken each and they had the hide to change us $ 80.00 for 4 x pieces of chicken and some un flavoured Noodles, absolutely disgusting and dish and complete rip off DO NOT EAT HERE

I just moved in to Five dock and came to try this Thai restaurant. Omg I have tried many Thai food from other Thai restaurants before but this is the best!!!! Love the crispy pork belly one so muchhhh. Will come back definitely 💙💙

I’ve been ordering home delivery from Kings Corner for many years and the meal this weekend was one of the best. I ordered the Mee Grob which is crispy rice noodles tossed in Kings Corner sauce with minced chicken and fried tofu and it was full of flavour and included egg this time, which I don’t think it has previously. I love the crispy noodles in this dish. The Mini Net Spring Rolls I’ve not had before, but were also beautifully crispy with shrimp and crab meat. The Pad Thai I ordered with Chicken and to be fair was quite bland, but I generally find that with Pad Thai. Good large portions at reasonable prices and prompt friendly delivery.

Have just moved to the area and first time ordering. There was a promotion running 10% off for a first time order but they took it back off because we paid in store instead of at the time of ordering (which was a permitted option). Not a huge discount but seems odd to offer it at all if you don't plan to honour it. The food itself was... average. nice curry puffs but the green curry left me underwhelmed. The whole experience was a bit bland. Unlikely to go there again.

We ordered via uber eats and I got the red curry with duck and some chicken wings. My wife got basil chilli beef. The chicken wings were not great, deep fried with thickish breading. The big disappointment was the duck which was +$4 And there was very little. My gold standard for red duck curries is Pothong Thai in Newtown or I used to like the same dish from Spice I Am on Wentworth st in the city. The sauce was a standard red curry sauce, so I shouldn't be that surprised. The beef chilli basil was more like Chinese. The steamed rice was also pretty dry. Maybe try one of the other curries instead with chicken.

Just finished our dinner ordered from Ubereats. Food are delicous. We ordered Moo Grob in Chilli Basil Sauce, Roasted Duck Curry and Gorgeous Crab. Food received in a generous portions and still hot. Veggies are fresh, pork skin are crispy. Happy tummy.

Order took a very long time getting prepared. Food not very tasty. I ordered Nasi Goreng and Moo Grob.

Simple menu but fresh and clean ingredients. The staff was also friendly and prices reasonable.

The wings were good but the pad priaw wan was okayish.

Hubby and I love going to Kings Corner as we have never been disappointed with any vegetarian option we have selected. Also, the service is courteous and allows for customisation (with waitresses patiently noting down crazy customisation levels in our respective versions of the same rice/noodles). Only food that I have ever really not quite liked has been their Tom Yum Soup (vegetarian). Conveniently located in the Five Dock market area, I love sitting by their large windows!

I’m glad I read the previous reviews - so I knew to expect hopeless service! I got takeaway (pad see ew and pad khi mao) and both were good. Not amazing, but for a cheap lunch ($9.90 each*) it was acceptable. The pad see ew seemed less oily than other takeaway places which was a plus! <br/><br/>In summary, food is good (I’d eat there again), but service is a bit hopeless.<br/><br/>*they advertise $8.90 lunch specials but only one dish is this price. Other lunch items start at $9.90 and go up from there. I’ve attached photos of the lunch menu (which isn’t included in their takeaway paper menu).

Small dining area and not a lot of atmosphere but the food is great. Have tried most of the Thai restaurant around the area and it was one of the best. <br/><br/>Will definitely be my go to for takeaway Thai in the area from now on.

Decided to have a tofu and vegie noodle soup in the restaurant for lunch and take away duck curry. The vegies were fresh but the broth was lacking any flavour. I had to put a few teaspoons of chilli otherwise just hot water. Also was only 2 pieces of tofu. The duck curry came in a small container. When i did eat it later on for dinner was very disappointed. Miniscule amounts of duck. For close to $17 was not worth the price. Would not go back. Lots of better Thai around the corner in Wareemba and Drummoyne.

I had an awful experience here last week, I phoned up on Monday to place an order. I spoke with the lady and got a Chicken Pad See-Ow and asked if there were any side dishes, I ended up getting Spring Rolls on the side. Before I had the chance to ask further questions about the menu or explain when I was coming to pick it up the lady told me the total for the order, said it will be ready in 10 minutes and hanged up on me.<br/><br/>When I arrived to the restaurant I waited at the counter for at least 7 minutes whilst the staff mucked around in the kitchen taking videos of each other cooking. When I was finally greeted, I told them my order and they finally decided to grab it from the food waiting area. <br/><br/>Poor service. Rude. The food was average but I would never go back.

The service here is friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much to ask of them. I had the Mixed Entree (spring roll, curry puff, chicken satay & fish cake), Pad See Iew With Duck, and Sticky Rice With Thai Custard. The food is delicious and plentiful.

Really suprised by the freshness of the food and the fast service,you can see all the food and vegetables they use in the glass front counter,ordered hokkinen noodles with chicken in garlic&pepper sauce,mmm delish,cheap too,will be stopping here again!

Bad Service. I walked in on a Sun Night at 9.15 pm and I was asked if I wanted Take Away. I said I wanted to Dine in.<br/>I was waiting for my meal to arrive and the person serving me (was the owner I found out later) was least interested in serving me and more interested in cashing up. I was made feel very unwelcome. Then the girl preparing my soup asked the owner if it was Take away to which he replied "Yes" I said I was Dining In. I had asked him for less noodles and more broth but I received it the other way around.<br/>I left my soup as O was annoyed and walked out after paying over $13.<br/>I would never go there again and the owner does not understand the basics of Hospitality

Fantastic! Just had take away delivered and I will be going to sleep with a smile on my face. So delicious! Highly recommend the net spring rolls and BBQ lamb backstrap. YUU-UM

Kings corner has excellent authentic Thai cuisine and the service is just as good. Very good value for money.
