Review L'angolo Ristorante & Pizzeria - Five Dock

By far the best traditional Italian in Sydney! The quality, freshness, consistency and hospitality are all amazing. All veal and chicken dishes are served with a generous side of vegetables and you can't go wrong. My go-to at least once or twice a week

L’Angelo food is delicious & fresh. We order on a regular basis from here and highly recommend the pizzas, risotto & pasta. The steamed vegetables and potato mash are delicious too and make a nice healthy addition to the meal. Food is always delivered on time, packaged well & lovely and hot. Keep up the great work L’Angelo team!!

Words cannot describe on how good the pasta and pizzas tasted. I rang up for delivery and the lady on the phone was great. Very easy to communicate with and gave us a eta on when the food will arrive.. I was sitting on my couch watching tv And BANG! the door bell rings. Everyone jumps up! no way it cannot be them. And yes it was them, We did not even set the table, we just got straight into it.. Every bite was unbelievable, thank you guys.

Being born in Italy, I usually take my thin and crispy pizza from a popular Italian restaurant in Haberfield. They make the best wood fired Italian pizza in Sydney in my opinion. This time coming back from Chatswood we decided to try L’Angolo which was recommended by someone we know. Well, the pizza was very disappointing. First of all they use an electric conveyance oven like Domino’s. We ordered one margherita and one prosciutto and rocket. The margherita was full of cheese exactly like Domino’s ones; the prosciutto and rocket had the prosciutto submerged with cheese and cooked in the conveyance oven ☹️ instead of being put on top at the end of the cooking along with the rocket. Evidently they had no idea how to make it. In a nutshell nothing to do with real Italian pizza. The total price for the 2 pizzas was 50$, 1 dollar more expensive than the price I usually pay for taking away exactly the same two type of pizzas at my favourite wood fired restaurant in Haberfield. Basically we had Domino’s like pizzas at a higher price than real wood fire Italian pizza restaurants. A rip off. I cannot comment on the rest of the food because I have never tried it but when it comes to real Italian pizza stay away from this low quality and overpriced place. Stick to Domino’s for half the price.

We have been seeking an excellent gnocchi to match an old family favourite. Tonight we found it. L'angolo exceeded our expectations! The kids demolished it and that speaks volumes. Well done. We'll be back again!

Every time a chef put prosciutto on the top of a pizza before to bake it, an Italian die.
It’s something to put cold after baking the pizza. But besides the “rules” to follow, I actually like heated prosciutto and I do the same thing when I cook my own pizza at home (I hope no Italian will ever read this review).
We ordered pizza with prosciutto and bocconcini and a margherita with bacon.
My topping was covering pretty much the whole surface, which is good, in some pizzeria prosciutto is put with a small amount.
I thought this place made traditional Italian style pizzas, but the taste was not bad anyway and the service was quick.

A decade ago, I would have frequented this casual eatery on a weekly basis. Didn't stop going there for any particular reason as I always found the food fresh and tasty. Had dinner there recently and ordered my usual favourite, the Fettuccine ai Gamberi, which reminded me that the menu hadn't changed all that much since the last time I dined there...

Amazing 4 cheese pizza. After the Bayrun, my favourite thing to do is to grab a small 4 cheese pizza from L'angolo. Staff here are very friendly know my order as soon as they see me. Being a massive cheese fiend, I get a 4 cheese pizza whenever it's on a restaurant menu and have to say that this is one of the best.

Not that great. Eaten here a few times and have enjoyed some of the food there. The pasta is above average but I had ordered the pesto gnocchi once and it was full of oil and I couldn't eat it all. Pizza isn't too bad either but the ingredients aren't the best. Had the calamari for entree and it was almost like hard rubber and could not eat it. Dessert was pretty good had the apple calzone. Overall the place isn't too bad but the calamari was so horrible and brought the whole meal down last time. It was so bad that I decided to write a review on the place. Probably going to spend my money on better quality food next time.

Genuine and Delicious. I have now frequented twice this local restaurant on the corner of McLaren and Miller Streets. A good location with good parking near by and a relaxed area at the back with bar, and a dining room in the front for a more formal seating arrangement. Everyone speaks Italian, in the kitchen at the bar, the staff and it's a nice relaxed venue with reasonable pricing. The gnocchi is my favourite and the entrée size is a perfect serve for lunch. Great service, friendly staff whom will help you decide what to eat as they have tried everything on the menu and have good recommendations. Great for one to eat and also a group. Worthy of checking out any night of the week. And great coffee too!
