We went today and tried the new burgers my fave was the BLAT (bacon lettuce avo tomato) two huge chicken breast fillets
We also tried the beef and chicken empanadas my fav was the beef just spicy enough not to mention the new LOAD fries omg to die for
They also now have Uber eats
Do your self a favour and try the new burgers

The BEST BURGERS you can find in the whole Sydney! The five dock shop is super but the NEW ONE in Birkenhead point , if possible, is even better!! You can eat the best burgers, delicious homemade impanadas or yummy chips in front of the sea...could you ask for more? The staff then is simply fantastic! 5 star + 5 more!

Today i got super lucky to have the classic chicken wrap and i gotta say that this wrap was absolutely delicious , a massive thumbs up to the Il pollo team!!. With out a doubt it was the best wrap i have had, the chicken was cooked perfectly, there was just enough chili and mayo making it super tasty and just giving it that WOW factor. Its a ten for me ill pollo , im definitely coming back here for more !!
Bloody love this place. Rob and the team run a tight ship and the best chicken burgers around town. (Even if the long roll is a special order). Do yourself a favour and get some chilli Mayo too. #awesome

Il Pollo in Five Dock has the tag line “more than chicken” and that is certainly the case. They do do chicken and they do it very well, however there is more to this joint than just the chicken. This store is part owned by Rob, who we met on our visit and his Moroccan background is the inspiration behind his passion for food. Food is a way of life, he explained. His passion and enthusiasm are second to none. He loves his food, and local community, and the feeling is mutual.

Starting life as a takeaway chicken shop, this local favourite has transformed over the years and now offers so much more than just chicken. With a wide range of tasty burgers, wraps, gourmet salads and somewhat unexpectedly, empanadas, we often drop in for a quick meal or snack.
Getting together with a few friends, we were able to sample more than our regular order of the Pollo Burger, Portuguese style chicken and empanadas. The empanadas are always a highlight; golden pastry filled morsels oozing with chicken and mushroom or beef and mushroom, plus spicier versions for the chilli lovers with one including spicy chicken and chorizo. Definitely a must-try!
The various chicken dishes we had - Marinated chicken with smoky BBQ and chilli, Portuguese style chicken and Smoky BBQ chicken ribs - were succulent and finger-licking good, and were nicely complemented by the salads and fries. The salad bar offers a fabulous variety ranging from tabbouleh to Greek salad and hearty and healthy brown rice and quinoa salad.

Homely, cosy, hearty meals that revolve around chicken. From Rotisserie chickens to gourmet wraps, burgers and salads, it was a great catchup with some old friends in a nice casual vibe. Recently underwent a renovation and the place looks great. The burgers and wraps are always a hit. For the health conscious there is great range of gourmet salads and low fat options such as the grilled tenderloins. They have invested in a new oven which results in the most succulent, juicy and perfecy marinated chicken you can imagine. The house made sauces are the bomb! But you can't go past the empanadas. A must try!

This is a nice little chicken shop located on the main strip competing with many other eateries.
We chose this place because we wanted to try the chicken.
The chicken was average and the burger was pretty good.
The size of the regular chips were quite bigger than expected but the prices are a bit high for the what you get.
Service was good though.
Kinda like Oporto but better. The Big Pollo lives up to the name. It's Big and it's Pollo. Google translate tells me that means Big Chicken and that makes sense coz it's got lots of chicken. 3 chickens. Not whole chickens but pieces of chickens. Big, thick pieces of chickens. Each piece is at least twice as thick as an Oporto piece of chicken.

the chips are pretty good too but the chip box itself wasn't very sturdy and I picked it up from the table and it kinda collapsed and some chips went on the floor.
The schnitzel burger was also pretty good but the Big Pollo was better.
Chicken is always a hit or miss. Sometimes is really dry and then other times it's so beautifully succulent and juicy.
There empanadas are the bomb! They're absolutely amazing! So are there range of salads. And they have really amazing old school burgers.
Never change your chilli sauce recipe! It's perfect!
This restaurant is ALWAYS clean. I've never seen anything out of place. Staff are always smiling and friendly too.
THE best burgers & chips! The ‘Old Timer’ burger closest thing to a top Aussie burger. I also buy their very fresh salads. Love their Tabbouli. Lovely people too!
Amazing burgers. Had the grilled Portugese style burger and the crispy chicken burgers. Loved the chili fries. 👌 The bbq aioli?(dark one) was absolutely delicious. Great salad too, fresh and yum.

Delicious roast chicken with a tasty marinade. Freshly cooked hot chips tossed in chicken salt (choose between thick cut or shoestring fries). Garlic sauce was amazing. If you are craving El-Jannah this is a great inner west alternative. Friendly staff, will be back.

Rob is an ideas man and not only does he have great ideas, he has the passion to follow through. His range of burgers are reflective of this, we shared the range including Ollo, Pollo, New Yorker, Casablanca, Southern Belle, BLAT. They were all very good, but the Casablanca lamb burger was our favourite.
The chilli sauce here is unreal, made with their own recipe. They also do Chilli-naise chips, which I think may be unique to Il Pollo. Chips smothered in mayo and topped with the Il Pollo chilli sauce, so good you will not want to share. This will now be on our mind as a constant for a cheat meal.
For something quick and exremely tasty, the Empanadas are highly recommended (Spicy chicken and chorizo; Spicy beef and mushroom; Chicken and mushroom; Beef and mushroom)
Then there is the chicken, so juicy and tender. With a range to choose from; Marinated chicken with smoky BBQ and chilli (new dish), Marinated Portuguese style chicken or Smoky BBQ chicken ribs will have you finger lickin. We were lucky to take some spare home and enjoyed it just as much the next day.
They also have a salad bar for a healthy option. If you are clean eating, these salads are great to combo with some chicken. The salad line up includes Greek salad, Brown rice and quinoa salad with vinaigrette, Tabbouleh and a few other choices.
If you’re in Five Dock or Birkenhead stop by for a feed, there are plenty of great options and the food is quality. If Rob is around, say g'day and have a chat.
The food here is always delicious. The burgers are a good size and the food is reasonably priced. I have bought chicken, burgers, and the tasty fries many times. Thank you for the extras tonight! 😊
