Came here for dinner and was not disappointed, great ambiance, menu looked very good, the food we ordered was prompt and we'll executed, service was friendly and helpful and oh my, that wine list. Top competitor on the mornington peninsula. Will definitely return!

Excellent staff and excellent food. Definitelty worth stopping by if you are on your way past Flinders.
The Village cafe is a outstanding small family owned business located in the heart of Flinders. Offering great food, coffee and exceptional wines. Service is attentive, friendly and efficient. They have really thought of everything. As a bike rider, they provide bike racks, air pumps, and a repair station. You can rack your bike safely and securely out of the way. So sitting down to a coffee and a quick bite to eat is a pleasure not a hassle.
I give this place 10 from 10 and plan to revisit for the wine and nibbles evenings as well as making it a regular stop on rides. Great work to the Village Cafe team
Decided to have dinner at The Flinders Village Cafe... fish of the day ended up being Barramundi. Not being a fan of Baramundi but wanting a fish i went and ordered it...
Well have i had my mind changed
Out came a Crispy Skinned Barramundi sitting in a Lemon and peppercorn sauce with a beautiful side salad.
I thank the chef for totally changing my mind.
So good i went back the next week and ordered it again. Great service...
Food is delicious, service is great, kids declared it the “best cafe ever”!
It's not only the team that's really friendly, but also all the other customers. I went there on my own last night and ended up talking with all the people in this cafe! The food was of high quality and I drank one of the best wines I've ever had. The next day I came back and ordered a lovely morning coffee. Thanks for the services!
You have to try the passionfruit sponge! So yummy.
Great service, friendly staff. Perfect spot to spend an afternoon enjoying beautiful Flinders.
A very nice comfortable place to wine away the day.
Great food and staff. Would go back anytime. Selection of food also excellent.
My family and I had an overall great experience at the Village Cafe Flinders - The cafe is located on the main street of a beautiful seaside town. The food was delicious and affordable and the staff were friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend lunch and coffee at the Village Cafe and will be returning.
Gorgeous portion and great taste. The waitresses seem to be really busy, it is understandable if they are not that attentive .I have never see this much salmon in a salmon bagel before. The winter salad had so much quinoa. It was really filling...but I will love it more if it is with a lot more rockets
Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Its a nice cafe to sit inside on cold days because it is cosy in front of the fire place. The outside is lovely too. I highly recommend the burger and sausage roll!
We had built up a bit of an appetite from walking out the the Flinders Jetty and around the coast so Village Cafe & Wine Bar was a welcome retreat. My wife was searching for a place called Julie's in Flinders which she had visited years ago. Turns out a fire and subsequent name change has reincarnated Julie's as Village Cafe & Wine Bar. It was toasty inside when we arrived and there winenwere quite a few patrons despite looking quiet from the street. We sat ourselves down by the warming open fire and ordered lunch. I ordered the salmon open sandwich with cream cheese, capers and lettuce (sans onions) while my other half ordered the bruschetta. I was impressed by the generosity of salmon when mine arrived and the taste combination brought me back to the many salmon bagels of this irk which I consumed in Canadas west coast a few year ago. The Bruschetta was only had a small amount of fresh basil but I'm told the flavour of basil and garlic was there so perhaps this was infused in the oil itself. Although not in use it appears that there was a beer garden out back and the many empty tables outside the front did make me wonder whether anyone else was going to be in when we arrived. Judging by the number of outside seats Village Cafe must have a swelling crowd during the warmer months. We received a quick turn around of our not overly complicated meals.
What a hidden gem!! Found this place accidentally on trip advisor and their reviews made me curious to try this place for dinner.. we had the steak Diane and pasta which were both very good... the wine list was diverse in regions and price.. the owner had intimate knowledge of his wine list (especially the local wineries) and was generous with providing samples of his wine list.. highly recommended for anyone visiting Flinders :)
