I ordered personalised cupcakes for my engagement party recently and with all of the running around, I forgot to pick up my cupcakes on the Saturday but your very friendly staff member was so polite and kind about my lateness and kept the shop open past 4pm to let me pick them up. A little surprise awaited me when my partner got home bearing a box of cupcakes from Cupcakes by Paolo. The smell of the cupcakes were heavenly, and when I spied a pandan and taro cupcake, I had a gut feeling that I would enjoy these cupcakes very much.
And these cupcakes did not disappoint. Save for the unicorn honeycomb which really didn't taste of honeycomb, just very chocolatey, the flavours of the rest of the cupcakes were undeniably pronounced and just as described.
The cupcakes were incredibly delicate and moist, and the frosting wasn't too sweet and of just the right amount without overpowering the cupcakes.
6 cupcakes for $18 is pretty good value for money too!
This place is amazing, cupcakes are so moist and very reasonably priced. It's my go to for party cakes and also for a coffee and a week treat. Cloud nine is my hands down favourite.
This is such a gem for West Footscray! The service was absolutely beautiful and my little one loved his cookies and cream cupcake, which was just perfect.
My wife bought 6 cupcakes from here and I was a quite interested on how they would taste as I always find cupcakes a hit or miss type of deal. Fortunately these were definitely a massive hit and would have to be one of the best or the best cupcakes I’ve had in a very long time!

After driving past this little cupcake bakery for so many years, I finally decided to take a break from my own cupcakes and purchase a few evidently superior ones instead. These gems are bigger than the usual cupcake and markedly cheaper too (being $3.50 per cupcake and $3.00 if you buy six or more). I originally planned on purchasing one for each of my family members but knew that even then, my sweet tooth wouldn’t be satisfied. As I’m typing this I’m taking deep breaths as I’ve filled myself quite a fair bit after eating 1/4 from each cupcake (that’s nearly 2 full cupcakes!). On walking in, I was met with the unmistakable waft of cupcakes. It was later in the day near closing when I decided to buy some so unsurprisingly my choices were more or less limited to these with the exception of probably 4 more flavours, the last ones of the flavours. Alice was the loveliest lady to my sisters and I and we soon learnt that Paolo, the bakery whose name it was under, was her son although she seemed to share just the same amount of passion for baking. She even threw in a free one seeing as it was our first time! I couldn’t wait too long to sink my teeth into these because as soon as I got home, I was devouring them before I could change into my home clothes. My entire family enjoyed the cupcakes and especially loved how light they were meaning that we had room for more! All cupcakes were insanely moist and very rich in flavour. This is me being picky for the sake of feedback but if anything, I would’ve liked a bigger hit of cream cheese in the red velvet cupcake frosting. Other than that, I look forward to trying the rest of these beauties.

Impeccable service. Visited for the first time and the owner provided us with a free cupcake alongside our order. We purchased the cupcake and coffee combo for $5, which is an irresistible bargain. You can tell that the owners work hard to produce an amazing product and experience for its customers.
So many different flavours to choose from and all are so delicious. We definitely will be returning and will recommend to all of our friends.

Delicious, well priced and great variety! A lovely little cupcake store on a bustling main road, if you blink you'll miss it! Service is always provided with a big smile. The last time I visited, Paolo threw in a cupcake for free because I had brought in my mum to try for the first time. A nice, local alternative to other high priced cupcake places.
I found my happy place at @cupcakesbypaolo the exact amount of sweetness will melt your sweet-tooth cravings... to top it all ❤❤❤ the staff, represented themselves as the proud parents of their 3 kids and made us feel so very welcome. The big twist? the price is awesomely reasonable $$ for a perfect plate of dessert! 🍰🍴🍽 need I say more?
These have to be the lightest cupcakes I have ever had. They are so fluffy and feels like I'm eating colourful clouds! ☁️There are a variety of flavours to select from and they all look so pretty！

If you need to make a good impression get your cupcakes here. They are everything you could want in a cupcake. They're a good size, not overly sweet, fluffy and the flavours are fantastic. Pair it with a coffee and you are set. My favorite is the pandan cupcake! Trust me on this. You need these cupcakes in your mouth.
8/10. One of the best cupcake bases I've tasted. The cake itself is divine, flavoursome, moist and hits the spot. However, the icing is a hit and miss- I find that sometimes the icing is too grainy and leaves an unpleasant after taste.

Cupcakes madness. I'm not a fan of cupcakes, but decided to drop in to support a local business.
Cupcakes were light, fluffy and not overly sweet. Despite my limited cupcake eating experience, I have noticed that making cupcakes is easy, but making excellent cupcakes requires a level of expertise that is rare. Pleasingly, Paolo seems to have reached this level of expertise, while providing efficient and friendly service.
If I ever feel an overwhelming urge to eat cupcakes, I will drop in to see Paolo without hesitation.
Best cupcakes in Melbourne. Only place with pandan flavored cupcakes. Super fluffy and light. Love the passion fruit and lemon meringue too. A must for footscray locals to try.

Better than others. I have tried the cupcakes at many other establishments, including those with better PR, and have to say that Paolo's are far superior. Lovely and light with delicate flavour, the 10 or so different flavours I have tried were gorgeous. It is just a pity that the shop is in such an awkward position, no parking and not easily visible.
Go Paolo!. They only do two things here, but they do them perfectly. I'm usually hesitant about ordering long blacks, they're so often burnt or bitter, but theirs was perfect and their cupcakes are light and fluffy, yet so rich and flavourful. What an awesome little place.

I could eat these everyday!! The chocolate cupcakes are the best- Jaffa on the chocolate base is my absolute fav. Red velvet we have tried twice and been disappointed both times- too dry and tastes of red food coloring. I'm sticking with mouthwatering chocolate... Nom nom nom...
A work of art. Really loved the cupcakes. The icing was not too sweet and a generous amount. Purchased a takeaway 6 pack. My favourite flavour was the Raspberry. Keep up the good work Paolo :)
Discovered today the opening of the store in ashley street!! Great friendly staff, attractive cupcakes. The chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing was nice and moist and the icing not too heavy or overly sweet. Will be going back for more!! Hot chocolate was nice was coffee was pretty ordinary - hope that improves to encourage Jase to stop there on the way past :D. Hope they do well!!
