Review Hungry Jack's - Footscray

I feel like rating a franchise fast food joint is pretty lame. But my experience here was balls. Got my whole order wrong 2 burgers weren’t the same ones I’d ordered they forgot chips, you know, maybe small things, but I paid for that slop with my own money. Mr jack’s didn’t shout me. after waiting about 20 minutes, and I Understand they were busy, but do some quality control. Everything was squashed into a tiny bag which ruined the burgers, and because there was so much weight in there, when I got home the bag tore open and chips and onion rings went all over the road. Seriously. Hungry jack, you’re killing me.

No more or less than what you would expect from this type of retail outlet, but the staff seem like a lovely crew, and the Rebel Whooper is my guilty pleasure so thumbs up for that

Below average. Stuffed up my simple order. Didn't answer the phone for three days when I tried to let them know re:error....

Your typical Hungry Jacks. We went through the drivethrough on this occassion. It's always a nice change from Macca's and KFC and other fast foods etc. Service was typical from what you'd expect. Nothing bad or good, just average.

Long wait in the drive through waiting bay, watching about a billion cars go through the drive through and leaving with their meals. Another wopper for the copper.

Luke warm and chucked together. Avoid

Could be quicker on servicing customers standing and waiting to be served. And yes the burgers are better at Hungry Jack's.

I just ordered tendercrisp hunger tamer and it was really gross. They delivered me stale food and look how they prepare. Absolutely disgusting.

Avoid going this store ! Horrible experience and terrible staff .! Went there to just order one item and had to wait 15 mins literally with no one in line just me starring at the girl at the desk where the staff TAM and the other girl with pretty bad attitude were rolling their eyes off without even serving , after me asking them - is someone taking my order then finally I placed my order again I had to wait for 15 more mins just to get one burger and is not even worth enough of the wait . I am highly disappointed with this store and would avoid this store forever .! Would not at all recommend this for anyone !

My score 2.0 stars.  J was away, so I got a TA “bachelors’ delight” dinner from here on Fri 8th March - literally can’t remember how many decades it’s been since I last had HJ’s (& now I know why)…<br/><br/>To be fair the place was clean & the young woman who served me was very pleasant 👍.<br/><br/>I had a Whopper Hunger Tamer meal deal.  It consisted of:<br/>  3 chicken nuggets > Flavourless & texturally homogenised “chicken” 👎.   <br/><br/>Medium chips > Hate to see what a small looked like, but TBH they were quite nice – better than Macca’s! <br/><br/>Medium fanta (no ice – mistake!!!! 😂) > I had a “sugar headache” afterwards 🤕.   <br/><br/>BBQ Cheeseburger > Pale & lacking in flavour 👎. <br/><br/>Whopper > Pale, but having slightly more flavour than cheeseburger (mainly from the onions). The only thing going for it, is that it kicks a Big Mac’s butt (sizewise)! <br/><br/>TBH - neither burger had much obvious “flame grill” character (give me a smoky Char Kway Teo anyday 😋)! <br/><br/>At $12.45 for the deal, I’d rather cross the road & get a pizza at Pizza del Sole (cheaper & tastier)!  Never again 🙁…

3 times in 2 months the full order wasn't delivered. To top that off I made the mistake of having a hash brown and OMG it was like a sponge filled with grease. The staff are arrogant and I actually felt like I was interrupting them by attending their venue... Majorly below average on all arena's, we won't be going back!

What a balls up! Ask for no pickles in my whopper, I get pickles. I order a frozen coke and it's all mushy and not frozen at all and it's basically flat coke. Come on sort it out!!!!

This is not food!. I don't know why hungry Jacks is listed in urban spoon, they don't sell food. It should be listed at urban garbage dump along with Mcdonalds & KFC.

It is what it is, and it's good at that. The only reason I came to this Hungry Jack's is because I stopped in for some meat pies at Tony's across Somerville Road from here. Tony's doesn't sell much for drinks aside from coffee and soda. I wanted to make a Aussie picnic out of my pies, so I went to this Hungry Jack's for some American fast food. I haven't had a franchise milkshake or French fries for a long time. I wanted to see how they stacked up against the real shakes and chips I've been enjoying lately.<br/><br/>Jack's was flogging something called a "mango thickshake" at $2 for a largeish (like 450 ml) cup. I'm not keen on Australian milkshakes because they're too thin for someone like me. I'm accustomed to ice cream-heavy North American shakes. But I won't whinge about them again. Jack's shake was thick, all right, too thick to suck through a straw. It tasted like semi-liquified fake whipped cream dessert topping. I'm sure no mangos were involved in its production. Compared to a real milkshake, this was like "weird science" and artificial fruit flavours.<br/><br/>And the fries! They had been sitting under a heat lamp, so they were flaccid. Barely tasted like potatoes. I am SO glad most places Down Under do decent chips. McDonalds' are far better. Hungry Jack's -- been there (again), done that, don't need to do it again.
