🐟 The Family Tackle Box - 2 Fish Fillets - 3 Chunky Fish Bites - 3 Dim Sims - 6 Calamari Strips - 3 Potato Cakes - Chips Conway Fish Trading is a well known Footscray institution providing the freshest and highest quality seafood for over 50 years. At their Hot Fish store the selections here are impressive, options such as skewered garlic prawns, grilled or battered fish variety’s, mussels, fritters, burgers, and of course your good old fashioned fish and chips. 🐟 We ordered the Family Tackle box and I can confirm you will need a family to tackle it 😂 It was packed with everything you can think of, such a generous serving for only $32. The batter was really good but the chips lacked crispiness. When we come back to try more of the menu, we will ask for them extra crispy. 😛 Right next door they have their Fresh Fish store, where namely you can purchase all variety’s of fresh seafood, European goods and frozen foods. You can also order these goods online for delivery.

Staff was bit of an introvert and we had difficulty understanding and ordering. That said, once we received the for, we forgot about the interaction. The flake was bang for your buck delicious, chowder was okay, but wouldn't order again, and chips were spot on. I'm definitely coming here again. Have already recommended it to my mates.

We had a late fish n chips lunch at the Conway Hot Fish Café next door and I had a pretty good grilled Atlantic Salmon. It was certainly fresh, very tasty and nice and juicy. Based on this positive experience, we decided to also pickup a few pieces from Conway's Fresh Fish Market for tomorrow's lunch and I'm looking forward to it with a homemade salad.

Enjoyed my calamari!!! Fish tastes really fresh and seasoned well too. We will be back for sure!

drove across town as i had been before (last year) wanted a change of scenery. Potato cakes were inedible, Fish was burnt, chips had been cooked and cooked and cooked again was just eating crispy oil. left half of it behind. Not sure what's happened but lost me sadly.

Always been happy with my buy and always fresh. Making our own fish and chips this weekend.

Average tasting fried flake, expected more as the fish market next door is fantastic. Chips are good, potato cakes are below average & a bit batter-y but not in a good way. Salads looked good and fresh but we didn’t try. Good seating outside and easy access with ample parking. Opening hours for the fish shop next door isn’t correctly reflected - closed on Sundays.

Really enjoyed the food and service.. update: have now been back a couple of it's been disappointing on those visits $47 for the related pic.
