Review Vn Wrap & Roll - Footscray

Footscray has the best Vietnamese presence for food and this amazing place is an example for their Banh mi. I used to be a regular at this place for their absolutely brilliant "BBQ chicken banh mi". Their rolls are full of fresh ingredients and the meat is very juicy and succulent. They have an underrated option of adding red chillies which will simply blow away your taste buds. Highly recommend this place for their rolls.

I bought a BBQ pork roll& traditional Vietnamese ham roll for my late lunch around 2pm. The break is not crispy or crunchy, it’s very soft. I tasted something sour sauce which I’ve never taste from other shops. Very small amount of carrot or veggies. The small Vietnamese bakery shop make better rolls than this specialise For Vietnames roll shop. Its very disappointed but still eatable that’s way I gave 2 stars.

My go to for a pork roll in Footscray. Bread is soft and light, fillings are generous with really nice pâté. Super cheap - $5.50 for a BBQ pork roll. Check this place out, it’s an underrated gem.

Excellent vegetarian bahn mi. $5.50 with egg. Their ingredients are fresh and the staff took care making it, ensuring the roll was full of salad with all the trimmings. Will be back.

I’ve had many Vietnamese rolls in my life time so far but although I might have got better else where every now n then I can’t deny the freshness and quantity n quality these two gorgeous girls put together so I’ll be buying my crispy pork belly n bbq pork rolls from here for as long as I can get it, also price wise is super competitive compared to what I e paid elsewhere where they only put half the ingredients the girls at Footscray so I got to admit I’d rather eat one from wrap n roll than anywhere else, love these hard working friendly girls, their rolls make my mouth n belly very happy, cheers’

Got a roast Vietnamese pork roll for lunch today it’s was good, I’ve had better in Footscray and that’s the only reason they’re getting 3 stars instead of 4.

Been here a few times. Nice and cheap but good quality for lunch. Quick service too.

The chicken quality in their rolls is absolutely mind-blowing. So tender and so flavourful.
They have a very clean and not too overwhelming dressing, which makes it very simple and quite amazing of a Roll/sandwich.
For spicy food lovers, request to add red chillies and you won't regret your decision.

My score 3.5 stars. J and I got takeaway for dinner from here on Fri 17th Jan. Service was nice, food was cheap and pretty good (points off for excess sweetness in filling).

J got a tofu and salad Bahn Mi – Same salad as below. The tofu was a mix of fried tofu, carrots and bean shoots, all marinated together and then warmed on the hotplate (before adding to the roll) – they added heaps of it!!! Overall - very tasty, a bit too sweet and a little too salty (from added soy sauce – skip next time).

I got a paté and salad Bahn Mi – All the standard stuff including chillies and coriander, no peanuts but fried shallots included. Very nice – only criticism is that it was quite sweet (maybe the pickled carrot)?

Interestingly they placed both rolls on the hot-plate after filling them and this made them the most crisp one’s we’ve ever had when not eating them straight away!

The Crispy Pork Banh Mi are amazing here! Went to go get one today and sadly they had run out of rolls, which is no surprise because they are so good here. Generous with the toppings and staff and friendly. Service is super quick. My favourite pork rolls in Footscray so far!

3.5
We get bulk takeaway rolls from here, and it always arrives fresh, crisp, delicious and filling. The roll used isn't your typical Vietnamese round roll with soft bread - it's longer - perhaps cut from bulk, but good nonetheless. Can recommend both the Pork Belly and BBQ Chicken.

I was in Footscray with a friend and her daughter. We were going to go to another highly rated banh mi place but parking in Footscray is ridiculously hard to find and we couldn't walk too far because we had a little girl with us. We found a park close to VN Wrap and Roll and I had to be quick to get back to the car because we were parked in a loading zone 🙊.

I ordered 2 roast pork banh mi. One without chilli and one with a little bit of chilli. The lady kindly wrote "no chilli" on one of them however as we were eating them my friend got a mouthful of chilli from her "no chilli" and we realised the lady wrote on the wrong bag. The chillies were very hot here so if you don't like really spicy food it's better to say no chilli and check it before you eat. The first thing my friend noticed was the roll wasn't as crispy on the outside as other banh mi places but I didn't mind that. What I did mind was the pork being dry. Other than these errors the banh mi was nice enough but I would definitely like to try another place next time I'm in Footscray.

The people working here were friendly enough. I was here last week so I don't remember whether it's cash only or if they charge for using EFTPOS. I also forgot to take a pic.
