The quality and taste of the the food has gone down, does not taste like it used to be, won't be going back again

I like the food and and the service is very good and also the people is a nice and welcoming to the pizza shop . The best in Footscay this place called pizza Domenico’s.

Vegetarian and The Lot Pizza both full of ingredient. Chips is ok, not too oily. The better one around the neighbourhood. Can improve with some olive on the vegetarian pizza adding some saltiness.

Went there on Saturday night pizza was substandard tasteless and all topping falls off i grabbed each slice. Staff was quite friendly and place looked cleaned. Unfortunately food must have been off i shitted 3 times the next morning in 1 hr.

Chicken & mushroom pasta was the worst iv had. In the 10-15minutes it took to be delivered, the sauce had split so I had a bowl of oil - the few mouthfuls I attempted to eat was bland and just really unpleasant. Doubt I'll try this place again.

DELICIOUS!! New to the area and tried this place for the first time and it is amazing....so fresh. The tandoori chicken pizza and meatlovers (add ground beef) was amazing and highly reccommended! <br/>Cant wait to try the pastas and the rest of the menu.😄😄 definitely worth a try!

Terrible terrible pizza. Base like cardboard and toppings are all prepackaged processed crap. Cheap price unfortunately reflects quality of food.

Good to see things have improved. Reasonable to very good pizza with a decent amount of topping. Good at following specific instructions. Reasonable prices and quick delivery. <br/><br/>Had this review been written around a year ago it would have been different. <br/><br/>Interesting to see that some recent reviews have been pretty bad. Can't see why. Maybe they have different cooks. Maybe it is the delivery driver.

The best pizzas in the west by far. Love there new addition to the menu the housemade chicken spare ribs are to die for. Been a customer for years would highly recommend anyone that's after a great bite out west.

This once great pizza place is now a shadow of what it once was. 5 years ago this was the best pizza joint in the west with great pizzas always. Not sure if its the addition of uber eats but the last 3 times in a row the pizzas have been delivered late and cold, and the order or drinks are missing or wrong. Would not bother with this joint untill they get back on track.

Pretty disappointed with how our pizza looked once it'd been delivered to us (Ubereats) Much of the toppings had melted off and pooled in a corner of the box, resulting in a sloppy mess. Though to be fair, this could be more the fault of the delivery driver, not the restaurant. <br/>Taste was okay but nothing special. Base was good, toppings bland.<br/>I believe I've ordered from here before and it was good, but disappointed this time.

Unpretentious but very good pizza. Not licensed but a bottle shop nearby. I pretty well always have a pizza here when in Melbourne. Parking can be a bit of a problem<br/>

Ordered pastas which were quite plain. Also ordered an Italian salad which was not fresh. The previous reviews are up and down may try it again one day and hopefully get a better showing. <br/><br/>The pizzas looked good though when I picked up my order

I only tried this place for the first time last night. I was in need of some pizza... but nothing fancy (and excellent) like Motorino or the declining sub par Ovest, so I gave this a go. It's actually not bad. Bases were not too thick or thin and the ingredients were generous and spot on for flavours. Cooked quick, hot and super tasty.

More misses than hits. When you love the old school atmosphere they serve more than the food itself: something is kinda wrong. Deep pan, full fat except not much flavour. For best results: keep your order simple, authentic and avoid the BBQ sauce.

I ordered some pasta and pizza for delivery and I was super impressed with the quality and flavour of the dishes. The pasta sauce tasted homemade and the pizza base was crispy and fluffy and still piping hot. I'll be coming here again.

I have been a long time customer at domenicos and have tried the majority of the options on the menu at least once. However, the quality has gone down hill since going under new management and I would recommend going somewhere else.

I gotta say. This places makes the best pizzas I have ever had. Without a doubt. These guys know how to do a magic pizza base. Highly recommend it. Laid back setting and very friendly.

I love this place. Real pizzas made by real Italians. Fresh and tasty, can't ask for more. I have been coming here for over 20 years and have always left satisfied 😊.

Ordered the margarita, cause it's a great way to judge a pizzeria. I chose the 'gourmet' version, because my taste buds deserve to be spoiled occasionally. Unfortunately, the only taste here was disappointment. <br/><br/>Maybe it was an off night - the reviews here seem pretty good - but I won't be rushing back.

Pizza was horrendous. So much shredded ham and no flavour in sauce or base. My husband and I also had a terrible tummy next day. Won't be going back

We came here for an early hungover dinner on a Sunday evening for pasta and were not disappointed. Wide range of pasta sauces and pasta/ravioli/gnocchi, and they also do pizzas and side dishes. Gnocchi was fresh and tender, and the spaghetti was yummy and serving size generous. The sauces were obviously home made and full of flavour, atmosphere is relaxed and homely and very authentic. Convenient location, they also do takeaway, we'll be back!!

Fantastic local pizza with home-made quality. After being severely disappointed with Encore and their pizza which tastes the same as a frozen pizza bought from Coles, I checked out Domenicos.<br/><br/>Fantastic pizza! The ingredients were quality and obvious care was made with the pizza production itself. Ingredients spread around. Extra cheese was granted with no extra price. Delivery was quick and the prices are very very fair.<br/><br/>Domenico's has become my local pizza place and I will never go anywhere else.

Really average doughy pizzas with no taste. I got their Gourmet Margarita pizza and they still used the regular cheese, tomato sauce toppings with packet dried herbs. Bad. Honestly go to the Plough hotel 10 metres down the road. They do takeaway and their pizzas taste amazing.

Dear Renee. I am the rude customer from your review who was accused of yelling things out I eat at this restaurant 6 nights a week and am treated like family the pizza and all other menu items are great vaule and delicious maybe next time you should just keep driving past if you don't have a sense of humour.

Disappointed.. So disappointed after eating at Domenico's. Thought we'd give the place a try as it has a very high rating of 88%. BBQ chicken pizza was sloppy and below average, the same as the spaghetti marinara, very below average. Not to mention there were rude customers coming in the door and yelling out what they wanted to eat, then saying 'I hope the chef doesn't spit in it'. Not a pleasant place to eat. Never again.

Pleasantly Surprised. Had pizza from Domenica for first time last night. Ordered super supreme and was very impressed. Heaps of fresh topping including prawns. It tasted fresh and after eating half a large I didn't get that sickly feeling like u often get with some pizzas. 10 out of 10.

Amazing food. I have had a lot of pizzas in my day and I have to admit these pizzas are the best I've had , service is always great and friendly :-) 10/10

Just felling like Italian. Whenever I am staying in footscray for business <br/>I usually order from here <br/>I was planning to try another local Italian but urbanspoon came through <br/>checked reviews and thought going to stick with them as I am staying at the motel around the corner before my business meeting in the morning didn't feel like driving or walking anywhere they deliver <br/>I have had delivery from them before anf was very happy <br/>only complaint their website has no menu only a link to Facebook which I refuse to use but did some searching and found it on another site please get your menu on your website

Best Pizza ever. So happy with our order tonight, we just moved to Footscray and I must say I did giggle at the name when i first saw it and thought it would be like Domino's, BOY was i WRONG. whenever we usually order Pizza for our family we get 3 as they are so small, 2 pizza's was plenty for the 6 of us. I am not a pizza lover and usually only give in cause the family loves pizza and i usually only ever have 1 slice, tonight i had 3...YUM YUM YUM!!!

This place is my only stop for puzza, outside of Italy Iv never tried anything like it! While chatting to the owner, Bruno, I found out that the shops been in the family for over 25 years and their secret pastry recipe has evolved over five generations. Their meatballs are also highly prized :-p

Great Pizza. If you are looking for great pizza Domenico's is the place for you, the staff are friendly, the pizzas are fresh and delicious, a good variety to choose from, they give prompt service.

Fine if you're desperate but no better than Encore Pizza down the road. Very average. <br/>Ordered, was told 10 minutes to pick up and pizza was soggy on pickup - I was there on the dot of 10 minutes later.

Not worth it. In my years in Footscray I've found myself ordering from Domenico's a few times, though in each case reluctantly.<br/><br/>I'm not a fan of thin pizzas, and the pizzas here are typically thin. If that's what you're into, another reason you might not like Domenico's is the oiliness of pizza. I've consistently found it's a more oily than is normally found.<br/><br/>The worst part of Domenico's for me? Customer service. I've always found the staff short over the phone and in person, which is a real shame.<br/><br/>If you like your pizza with a decent crust, that looks fresh, doesn't come with a pool of oil, and comes to you via friendly face (and at a cheaper price), do yourself a favour and walk over the road to Encore Pizza. You won't be disappointed!

Waited over 1.5hrs for pizza that was promised in 45 mins. When it did arrive, was no better than an average pizza joint (even taking into account how much better it would have been before it got soggy from the wait). Disappointed.

Fantastic italian local.. Ordered a small margherita. The dough that they make here is absolutely delicious (clearly homemade) along with their tomato sauce. I'm disappointed I've only discovered them recently. Will be back for more pizzas. You have made me a regular.<br/><br/>Also, the staff were very nice and accommodating.

This is and has been my local take away pizza go to place for many years. If you live in the inner west, ur wasting ur time going anywhere else..<br/>I've never had a bad pizza here...<br/>Keep up the good work

Excellent Pizza. Domenico's pizza is one of the best places to eat pizza in Melbourne and definitely the best take away pizza I've had.<br/><br/>The thin base, good combination of fresh toppings, crispy crust and soft dough make almost every flavour of pizza delicious. The pizza is never too dry or too greasy.<br/><br/> I always get the same pizzas, but the huge menu ensures that few people will be requesting custom pizzas. (which they do anyway)<br/><br/>If you live nearby I would strongly recommend them next time you get a pizza. They do deliveries as well, and on a quiet night can get a pizza delivered to you in 15-20mins.<br/><br/>Overall, an excellent place to dine in or out. I've never tried the pastas, but every pizza I've had has been spectacular.

Excellent take away pizza once again. I've eaten lots of takeaway vegetarian pizza over the years, and Domenico's are amongst the best. They rate up there with much more expensive gourmet pizza places, and are streets ahead of the cheaper deals around that are cheap yes, but you get what you pay for<br/><br/>Not too much cheese, crust just right, crisp but not crunchy, and just the right amount of quality toppings - red pepper, mushrooms and olives were the main things tonight.<br/><br/>I bought a family sized on my way home to share with my 16 year old son, thinking we'd have some left over - but it was so good we just had to finish it off
