Tried ringing the number advertised only to be told to check the directory. Went there and ordered a piece of battered fish and a piece of crumbed fish and the minimum of chips. On opening our order there was more batter in the parcel then there was on the fish, both pieces of fish were undercooked
Great local fish and chip spot, they have a selection of cakes, wraps and other takeaway items as well.
The girls working there were super friendly, the food was fast to come out and was delicious enjoyed by the water in town.
If you’re hungry in Forbes, go to Lakeside. You won’t be disappointed!

Delicious good quality food, plenty of pre-made wholesome stuff to grab on the go. Great coffee. Excellent prompt service, friendly staff. Super easy parking for any type of vehicle. I now stop here every time I travel through Forbes.
This was the perfect choice for a quick bite to eat on our way to Orange. Mexican wrap was so tasty, coffees were delicious and service was so prompt and friendly - this would happily be our local if we lived here!
Lakeside cafe is our regular takeaway as locals it's fantastic the staff are beautiful the coffee is amazing and they locally sourced slices and cakes everything is fresh all the time. Mo Luke and the girls are amazing.
Very disappointed. Quality doesn’t match pricing. Fishy wasn’t fresh and flesh was purplish is areas like it was bruised & chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil.
I thought I would take the family or for fish and chips and support this new establishment but didn't realise how expensive it would be. Smelled rather 'fishy' and was very oily... for what we paid for it, I would have thought we would get more.
