Review Beach 162 - Frankston

Beach162 might be a bit of a misnomer with Frankston Beach being more than 2 kms away. That said - it is probably a good venue to repair to after a day at the Beach or anywhere else. Eclectic Mediterranean decor inside - multi spacious "rooms" which lead to either the alfresco palm fringed front courtyard to covered pillared light filled patio at the back. Even the ceilings have not been spared! Good fun checking it all out! Parking is tight but there are limited spaces at back - entry from side street. Food is good but not exceptional. I had falafel vegetarian platter. The falafel looked liked it came out of a packet but passed the taste test (I could be wrong about origin) & salad was fresh. My tea was served in a coffee plunger - is this mediterranean style? Odd. We were a noisy big bunch for lunch - mostly everyone liked their order except for one who found the grilled chicken fillet tough & dry. Wait staff explained the delay to someone who ordered gluten free...All up - good service too.

This was such a happy surprise! I loved the atmosphere, the amazing waiting staff but most of all the food! I am GF and they were more than happy to help with tasty suggestions. Both my hubby and I loved the place and will return for sure.

Fantastic set-up & much larger than it looks from the outside, we have been, for both breakfast and lunch with everyone's meals being excellent and on the larger than smaller size especially breakfast. All of our drinks were great from milkshake, tea & coffee, the staff were fantastic and under the pump as it was busy with drinks & meals coming out in around 5-10 for drinks, 15min for meals. Extremely well trained staff, probably a good idea to book ahead.

I jave been here a few times now and can confidently say I have never had a bad experience, food is always wonderful and staff are so helpful and kind!

What a beautiful place. The decor is eye catching and atmosphere is inviting and warm. Food was amazing, staff were friendly and happy to accommodate our needs. Definitely be visiting again 😊

Absolutely terrible service. Not friendly at all and sighed, rolled her eyes and was blatantly rude when we asked for things. Dumped the drinks on our table and had us pass them out to a table of 10 ourselves. The staff clearly don't want to be here which tainted the experience. With the food mediocre at best we won't be returning which is a shame because we are local. The reviews must be old because this is not a reflection of what the restaurant is today.

Has changed, BEACH 162 was once our go to restaurant in Frankston. Been there many many times. Tonight was a birthday night out. The one waitress had to look after the whole place on her own. We got forgotten about. Others ordered and got their drinks. We got left on our own. Others ordered their meals. We got zip. Menu is a poor reflection of what it once was. It has been so much better.

Been here many times and three times I ordered the fish and chips and each time the scales were still on the fish. I'm not talking a few scales here and there, I'm talking each bite. Yuck! Ended up eating the chips. The other time they messed up our order (I didn't get fish), the wait staff were nice and this time the food was good so I guess thats a plus. But I have not gone since and whenever someone suggests to go there I strongly recommend against it.

Let’s start with an online booking(confirmed) five weeks ago but no record of it when we arrived! Be wary of booking this venue online. But they found us a table and we joined the loud crowd for dinner on a very busy night. Waited an hour for entrees and then another hour for main course - blame the busy night. Food was ok when it came and we were offered coffees as compensation for the delays. Been here before and sat in the rear patio area, which was quieter than inside.

A great place with good food and fantastic entertainment and atmosphere. Staff where fantastic and so helpful when I had my birthday dinner. Thanks heaps! I highly recommend will be coming back again.

Love this venue especially on a Sunday afternoon and listening to Jimi Hocking. The food and staff are great and the place is beautiful, especially out in the beer garden surrounded by greenery. I didn't have a booking yesterday for lunch and Jimi and the back garden area was packed but the staff went out of their way to arrange a table for us and all the meals arrived together.

I love this place , happy staff, relaxed atmosphere, live music, good food and biggest bonus of all you can still smoke in an area of the beer garden..not many of those places left. Unfortunately for us smokers. Oh and I love the decor too. My friends and I always have a wonderful time when we go here .

Not impressed . Only breakfast menu till 11..30am . Lunch menu at 12 . We got there at 11ish . Wanted a toasted sandwich . Not possible!!!. .Not again

We had a wedding lunch here and were so well looked after by a lovely waitress named Anne! Would recommend eating here purely based on the service! �

Stunning venue, large dining sections. Beautiful art work. Loved the tables, light fitting and the most amazing looking pizza oven. Service was great & food was yumo. I chose seafood linguini, desert was a tough choice so we shared apple crumble & sticky date which was the best. Can't wait to try other meals. I attended with a vegetarian there was not much of a selection but she chose gnocchi which was beautiful

Always lovely food, service and atmosphere every time I'm there. Definitely my go-to place especially with the live music. Staff are always friendly. Greek Salad with Chicken is a must have

Great food good size meals, good value for money, great service and great atmosphere. Stools are a bit uncomfortable with no back on them. Beer garden was awesome. Exactly what we were looking for. Very satisfied and my wife and I both enjoyed ourselves and we will be back in 5 weeks for my 40th...

Love that place, the food, service and ambiance.. it has different areas for different occasions.. all round, great place to eat.
