Review One Pear Tree - Frankston

Excellent all around. Lively atmosphere, good food and coffee, friendly service and plenty of parking lots. Although it looks like a typical Aussie home, in fact this is a really beautiful vintage kind of vibe cafe that is not easy to find these days. I love my experience here, so does my partner. Highly recommended đź‘Ť

It's a unique cafe in what was an old house with each room feeling cosy. The staff are attentive and the place is clean. There is not much option on the menu however I think they have gone for quality over quantity as the food was excellent with the blueberry pancakes my favourite. The coffee was a bit average however I would rather an average coffee over a bad one. Came here with the family and rather enjoyable. Will return.

What a lovely establishment. We stopped for a cuppa and a catch up. It’s the first time I’ve been there and won’t be my last. Lovely staff, gorgeous ambiance and very delicious gift giving items. Purrrr love the leopard print cups - perfect for Mother’s Day; I’ll have to tell my family ❤️

Quite nice Cafe on the main strip. Limited parking and a little expensive, but otherwise lovely staff and the food was tasty. Chilli scrambled eggs came out pretty quickly, decent amount of eggs although chilli was subtle. Coffee was perfect

Love the concept and set up of this Cafe and gift shop. Coffee was perfect and the Pork Benny was really tasty and came with bite size pieces of crackle. Plenty of seating options. Staff were lovely

Arrived too late for lunch but still got a tasty Croque Madam & Egg & Bacon roll. Our coffee was very good, I'd go back there again just for the coffee. Staff were excellent. Very nice atmosphere inside and surrounding garden outdoors.

The outdoor area is something else - doesn’t feel like I’m in Frankston, more like Daylesford or some cute country cafe up in the Victorian mountains! Service is great and the inside is charming too. Great coffee and cakes

You don’t need to travel all the way into the CBD for a trendy cafe with stunning and delicious food. Beautiful inside and out this cafe was a perfect brunch spot after a morning beach frolic

Jane did a special Christmas lunch for my family and friends (first time ever that I have not done the whole thing at my place) what a lovely relaxing time we had in the private dining area - a bespoke lunch with all the trimmings, amazing service, table decorated and a fair price per person - would highly recommend this venue. Thank you to Jane and her amazing staff.

After hearing good things about this new cafe decided to try it out. Didn't disappoint. Both had a lovely lunch and coffee was great. Staff were all very friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend

Magnificent in all aspects. Cannot find fault. Great food, coffee, staff and atmosphere. Reasonably priced and not too loud like other restaurants. We are so happy to have found this gem.

Today was our first visit to One Pear Tree. It was really lovely. A great meal, delicious desserts and wonderful coffee. Jane, you and your staff are very friendly and efficient. It was so relaxing sitting outside we could have stayed there all afternoon. A beautiful cafe we will definitely return.

We came today for a catch up with friends and loved the gorgeous venue, most especially the room we had to ourselves with the fireplace. Food was delicious, service was friendly and unobtrusive. Will be back.

I felt like the breakfasts were really stingy it wouldn’t have killed them to give me another piece of toast. My pal with Dietary req got scrambled eggs with one tiny piece of bacon for $20. We all laughed so much. The food is really basic - cook at home yourself stuff or like what you’d get at a bnb. The coffee was good. The staff seemed kinda unhappy. If they take themselves on a nice field trip day of breakfast places around melb they’d get some good ideas. Loud and echoey inside. Go to oasis in Mornington instead or common folk.

Food is spot on and one of the best barristers on the Peninsula. Do yourself a favour and check it out.

Coffee is always fabulous, food is always delicious and service is always friendly, not to mention the lovely atmosphere of the beautifully renovated venue and garden! Our local favourite!

Had lunch here on a quiet day and it was delicious, decor is lovely and coffee is great. Brunch this morning was a bit disappointing. My mums meal took 30mins which was okay as we were warned of a 25 min wait. Her big brekkie came out cold. Mine and my partners meals came out another 30 mins later also cold and after other tables were served before us who arrived later. The chef had to go out and buy more eggs which added to the delay. A table behind us also had problems and were offered free drinks and coffees, when I let the waitress know of our problems we weren't offered anything. Not sure we will come back for brunch, maybe lunch on a quiet day. Also a baby change mat in the bathroom would be great ďż˝

Very cute cosy cafe with a nice garden setting. Parking is limited, staff was pleasant. I agree that the food portions are a little small but overall it was a nice breakfast

My wife and I came here for breakfast, nice garden setting, took a seat, waiter eventually gave us menus, had to order and pay at the counter, coffee was just average and weak, food service was slow, ordered Florentine which was nice but very small serving for the $16.95 price tag, not even any bread :( no water served, found out there was a water station so it’s help-yourself.. <br/>Overall rating: just ok, coffee was disappointing, nice setting but overpriced, and poor service so won’t be back.

My daughter and I called in brunch. Was a lovely set up we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the coffee was great. Friendly staff, would definitely go back.

Always great! Beautiful having brunch under the shade of the elm. Delicious Turkish influenced porridge & berry pancakes were in our menu today - not disappointed!

Good food. Good coffee and well worth the visit. Staff were friendly. Prices reasonable. Parking leaves a lot to be desired but it's manageable.

As this was my first time to this cafe I had no idea what to do until I got to the counter and was told to order and sit anywhere, was passed by a couple of waitresses on my way in who didn't even acknowledge us in anyway, food was good but overpriced. Ordered a large and medium coffee got two mediums and when asked one of the waitresses she wasn't polite in asking "well did you pay for a large" which we did and then she took the cup away with no apology and another waitress bought out the new one and then she apologized. I've had Di Bella coffee before which was alot strong then this one, so that was disappointing. The decor was nice just wish there was better signage for toilets and where to order/pay and have better customer service.

Visited yesterday and was ignored by all staff. Sat down at a table near the front door and waited 10 minutes as we were continued to be ignored by 3or 4 staff. No eye contact, no water, no service! Staff were more interested in speaking to the guys delivering bread samples rather than helping customers.<br/>Walked out.

Went to this cafe today and it was very pleasant. Inside is well decorated and has a private room and other eating areas. The service is good, the staff are attentive and friendly. As for the food, is is beautiful, I can highly recommend the lamb and the smashed avocado. Prices are on par with other places. I would recommend this cafe, worth the visit.

Today my girlfriend and I attempted to have lunch here. We had a quick look at the menu and then I  went to order our meals. I used paypass to pay as I normally do. Then I went and sat down at our table and a few moments later a different lady to the one who served me, came rushing up to our table saying "It didn't go through, it didn't go through!" I said the transaction DID go through because I saw that it did. She said "Can you check your account". She was extremely rude. I said I would check. She came back a few minutes later and asked if I had checked and I said that I had, and showed her the screenshot of the transaction. At no point did the lady say "thank you" "please" or I'm sorry", all she could say was "The machine is playing up". I didn't know who she was but I assumed she was the owner. My friend and I sat there for approximately 20 minutes. No one came near us to ask us anything. I had to get my own water. I eventually went up to the counter and I said "I'm just wondering how long our order will be, as I am on my lunchbreak?" The same lady said "What did you order?" Not - I'm terribly sorry, my apologies - nothing. I told her what I ordered and she said "I'll check with the kitchen, what table number are you". I told her, although she could have came and looked. She came back and said "They don't have your order, there is something wrong with the machine". Again no apology. She was very rude. She asked again what we had ordered and I told her again. She said "Do you want to take-away?" No apology. I said "Well how long will it be?" to which she said, "A few minutes". STILL NO APOLOGY. So I went and sat back down, Another 10 minutes passed and in this time some food came out for a nearby table. There was something wrong with this order too, as the female customer was complaining. Then another waitress brought over two coffees which I had not ordered. They were for another table. Eventually the owner brought our meals. She said "Here are the meals, the machine is playing up, I didn't think it had gone through at the start, I'm sorry ladies". Finally an "I'm sorry". I was not happy at all by this stage and my girlfriend said something to the lady. In the end she offered us a coffee, to which my friend declined and I accepted the offer. We ate the meal which was okay, although overpriced. The coffee was brought out by another waitress and put on the table beside me, no apology from her either. We finished the meal without anyone coming to check on us or the food, no one even came to take the plates away when we had finished. After about an hour, we got up and left, no one came over as we were leaving to say anything to us. At no point was the owner friendly towards us, warm or apologetic. I was going to organise a lunch for myself and 12 colleagues in the new year but I certainly will not be going here ever again. The owner was more concerned about my payment than about providing any service to us whatsoever. If there was a problem with the order, she should have atleast checked from her end. All she did was make excuses. The staff should have noticed that we sat there for a long time without our meals. As far as not approaching our table once we had our meals, again that is just poor service and plain rude. It is not the customer's fault if their "machine is playing up" although I was made to feel as though I was to blame. I feel very upset with the owner for the way my friend and I were treated.

Gorgeous outdoor area to enjoy coffee and breakfast. Good selection of food and helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and will be back!

A cute little cafe is what you would least expect in Frankston. Great location and so well styled. However the place doesn't offer much of a personality to match. Its quiet and service could be better. The menu is quite basic and doesn't offer anything special

Such a shame... this new cafe that has only been open for a very short time has such potential and it was a welcome addition to an area that has a limited number of good cafes. <br/>I have been here 3 times now and unfortunately it has gone from somewhere I would go back to (and did!) to somewhere I would have to think twice about. <br/>I went on my own the first time for breakfast. I had smashed avocado and a coffee. While the staff weren't all that friendly, that could be overlooked because the setting was lovely and the food was tasty. <br/>The second time I went was probably the best of the 3. I went with one other person, again we sat in the lovely outdoor area and the food was good. I had the warm chicken salad which was delicious and full of tasty ingredients. <br/>The most recent visit (yesterday) was with 3 others. Again we were seated outside and we chose what we wanted and went inside to order. When we tried to order a breakfast menu item and it was past midday, we were told this couldn't be accommodated. This is fine however it was made known to them that on the tables outside are weekend menus which state breakfast is served until 3pm. I again ordered the same warm chicken salad I had last time, the others ordered a different salad, a pie and a burger. Mine came out first and was missing ingredients that were meant to be in it. Around half an hour later no other meals had arrived so one of our party asked after them. The meals came out shortly after with absolutely no mention of how late they were or an apology or any kind of friendly banter. The second salad which the person had bought previously tasted nothing like she remembered, the burger and pie were fine however the chips were undercooked and soggy. <br/>As I said this is so disappointing because it's really rare to find an accessible, good cafe around this area and I had such high hopes for this one but the current staff make me feel more like a burden than a returning paying customer and that's what will always stand out more than anything. <br/>May just return for takeaway coffees from now on. Their coffee is great!

Atmosphere: STUNNING! Interior is white and fresh, it’s a clean but stylish setting. Beautiful layout with little private rooms. Great outdoor seated area.<br/><br/>Service: Smiley, polite, timely. Although for some reason my coffee was given to me in a takeaway cup and my burger was brought over in a take away box? But they sorted it straight away!<br/><br/>Food/menu: Very very nice. Lovely burger and chips! Really great menu with a yummy selection of cakey things for those with a sweet tooth!<br/><br/>Coffee: Fantastic! <br/><br/>

Very good food. Good range (salads, burgers, Asian noodles) considering it just opened up! All very tasty although my salad needed more haloumi, the rest of the food ordered looked and tasted great.
