Review Thai Beach Cafe - Frankston

Zane M. Diamond
Tasty food. I have been coming here for years. They are happy to do options for my partner who is gluten and lactose intolerant. I did the lovely beachside bush walk from Long Island Tennis Club carpark to Seaford (about 3kms) then had lunch at Thai Beach Cafe then walked back on a perfect autumn day. Superb!

Food was ok but service was slow due to not enough staff. Person taking orders was also same person cleaning the tables and serving the food. Hats off to her.

I love this place, food is great, staff are friendly and helpful. Have been eating here for 17 years

We’ve just moved to Seaford and we are so excited to have such tasty Thai just around the corner. Lots of veg options and the chefs are very generous with the tofu! Delicious

Amazing fresh and well presented food, quick service, ice cold water served on a very hot day was perfect, pricing so fair for what you are served, probably wouldn't recommend sharing serves unless you want variety as a serve you can eat on your own! Best Thai I've had in Melbourne - will recommend and definetly return again!

The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The cost reasonable.. Overall a good experience.

If there would be ZERO point, I would give them 0. They used trick for their lunch pack. It said any noodle and drink for $12.9. They gave a container almost empty with very less amount of noodle veryyy less. The container was empty seriously. They didn’t give my can of drink as well. I called them they hung up the phone on me. There is no respect to the customers. Don’t recommend them at all.

Amazing flavours. Best Green Curry, Tom Kha soup and Pad Thai in 2021.

terrible service they messed up the orders , the food was so expensive 122$ for for meals and 3 entreys and the taste was super bland nothing to write home about , just a typical suburban thai and bad kooks no idea ,just so dissaapointing

I came here because this restaurant has very good reviews, and those reviews are real. Very tasty! 5stars
리뷰가 좋기에 찾아왔습니다. 리뷰는 거짓이 아니었음! 파인애플 볶음밥을 먹었는데 무척 맛있었어요, 처음 와서 다른 볶음밥 하나 싸갑니다 ^^b

We ordered noodles for take away, it was yummy. For lunch they have special offer, the noodle was $10.9 with a soft drink! So cheap! I’d love to visit again! But forgot to take the pic of the noodle.

Really love this place, always fresh, always open, friendly service, delivery service. The only thing I would have to say is that the tofu needs to change to a nice softer more silken one, otherwise it's all perfect

Take Away only review: Horrendous! Disappointed by the 4 of us was an understatement :( ordered a green curry a spicy coconut stir fry and a tom yum soup which was pretty much your grandmas boiled vegetable soup 1955 kind soup. It's almost as if there is a batch of boiled veggies that are added to every meal - confused, complexed and concerned.

I'm sorry, sorry to my tastebuds.

Maybe the menulog dude swapped my meals for his home cooked Thai...

Ordered the penang curry absoloutely delicious and great value. Partner ordered a stir fry and that was great. Up there with the better take away thai places we have eaten at

So fresh and tasty!! (Take away)
Best Pad Thai ever. Was packed full of veggies and chicken.
Size was standard, not too big or small.
Is as expensive as Thai normal is.
Will be ordering again for sure.

I wish l had read the reviews before eating this poor excuse for Thai food. Lesson learned.
Do yourselves a favour get a decent chef or shut the doors.
The Pad Gra Pow was boiled beef with overcooked povo vegetables and an oily tasteless sauce. A couple of mouthfuls and threw the rest out.
My husbands fish was bland as well. He picked the fish out but the overcooked vegies were tossed and the ginger sauce lacked any sort of flavor.
We both enjoyed the free prawn crackers more.
If you think this review is harsh, my husband said l was too kind.
Never again for me.
I want to give it a negative score but it won't let me.

If you love thai alot then you'll probably agree there is much better places to eat. I dont find anyone overly welcoming and there meals are not consistantly great. Good for takeaway meals but to sit down and eat not so great

$10.90 lunchtime deals with a can - includes rice, curries and noodle dishes -- hooray!
The area has plenty of fish and chip options, so it's good to see Thai/Asian.

I'll start with the good: only place around here with vegetable and tofu laksa, food was ready on time, free prawn crackers with a small order under 10 bucks. Now the not so good: noodles were very soggy, way too sweet, poor choice of vegetables: potato, green beans, and carrot made up the bulk of it. Where's my bokchoy? Worst part was that there was literally only 2 tiny pieces of tofu in the whole thing. Overall, it was still edible, flavourful, and stopped my hunger pains. Might return for a different dish but the laksa is a no go.

Satay chicken skewers are drier than a desert. Also very bad hygiene shown by the cooks. I went to pick up my order tonight and one of the female cooks ate something, with her mouth touching the gloves she was wearing and she didn't change them and continued cooking other orders. Very poor and never getting 1c off me or my family again

Ewww. Worst Thai I've ever had and being local I tried it twice!! Once takeaway delivered massman beef curry and the beef was hard as a rock.

Here now ordered the same dish in beef and chicken and both are disgusting other than the vegetables. The beef is rock hard and the chicken tasted 3 days old re-heated! Yuk yuk yuk disgusting. Brown rice in edithvale I highly recommend and would never pay for bad food at Thai beach cafe again.

Food is ordinary and expensive.
The cafe charges $13.90 for vegetables only (which does not include meat). I paid $20 for poor quality vegetables, beef and a small serving of rice. Perhaps eating in would be more cost effective but their takeaway food is nothing to rave on about.

I asked then if they could please make me an extra mild vegetarian Laksa (not listed as an option on the menu) they made it for me and it was beautiful! Everything seemed so fresh, creative and lovely, I do recommend this restaurant.
Thank you very much :)

Ok not great.. The curry I ordered was quite small for the price. Not a lot of flavour either. I will probably give it a second chance as Seafood has few Thai places to eat.

My cousin and I were craving Thai and randomly chose this restaraunt, I got the Pad Thai and my cousin got the Thai Beach Noodles and we both agree that it was the best Thai food we have had in Victoria. The service was fantastic and they now have customers for life! would highly recommend

Not sure ??? Love the satay chicken skewer entree probably the best we have had but seafood stir fry all muscle and calamari and veg pretty ordinary fried rice hmmmmmm it's not bad but it's not great

Bought a dish from there tonight and expected a good meal. Ended up paying 20 for one dish and 1 roti bread, which was expensive as it was, only to open up my dish with most of the ingredients being courgettes, which I can't stand. Pretty disappointed.

I'm vegetarian and I absolutely loved all the vegetables! Very yummy food and some of the waitresses there are very nice! The chefs are very friendly too!

Great restaurant. I recommend the red curry.

Worthwhile. Really enjoy this place. Food very nice, though not very Thai spicy for our redneck neighbourhood which is probably understandable. Their Mussaman curry is a corker! Remember, to ask for Very hot, Thai hot! Then they will sort you out nicely.

Awesome dinner! I've found my favorite local takeout! Looks like a nice casual place to eat in too.

Best Thai food ever. Love this place. Casual low cost meals. Fresh and tasty. Great value. My favourite is the seafood salad - at least 6 prawns and heaps of scallops and fish. Mmm mmmm

Always Quality. Gem of a place with fresh thai that is always great. Always busy which is why there are a few comments on the service as can be a fawlty towers-esque at times. The lunch box specials and snack packs are great value. Roti with satay dipping sauce to die for...

Very good. Went for dinner with some friends and had a great time. The food really nice and fresh and the service is very friendly. I would have to say its the best Thai meal I have had in ages. Will be going back.

Great Food, Poor Service. Don't know why but these guys make great food but suck at being nice.
Ashlee Sarna-Kosnar
Really good fresh Thai food. Small dining area so take away might be the way to go. Would recommend
