Review Grill'd Healthy Burgers - Frankston

Linda Opolion
Love their tasty Burgers especially the Melbourne burger and their sweet potato chips. Its now become our regular place for dinner or a takeaway to have at the local Frankston pier or Oliver's hill to watch the sunset.

Went to use the toilet. There was no soap to wash my hands in both cubicles. Looked like a soap dispenser was missing from the wall on the left cubicle. When I came out, there was no soap left at the sink outside the toilets. How many people are walking around with dirty hands? We were there for at least an hour and the area wasn’t attended to or cleaned during this time, but the staff seemed to have plenty of time to chat and have a laugh at the front desk. Someone needs to take a senior role there and step up the operations of the place.

Second visit. In line with Grill'd standard. Good friendly service. Napkins on the table. Good step up from this visit in June 2021: Bit below standard I found from other grill'd places I have dined out. Burger dry, not overly warm. No napkins to be found. Good setting.

You know you have a problem when a paper napkin blown across the pavement from a neighbouring restaurant looks appealing. The food here is very good burger-and-fries kind of affair and the staff friendly and seem happy to be at work. But, on a warm summer's night, there were no napkins available and a dearth of table-cleaning in the outside dining area. It's a shame, really. As a burger joint selling burgers and related foods, it could have scored a five but the lack of attention to those basics chops it down to a two star review.

Our last few visits to this particular Grill’d have been disappointing. Everything from forgotten meals to bringing chips out long after we’d finished our burgers. I feel like the taste of the burgers is lacking too. And the front door has been broken for months. Despite the sign on it, people walk in and leave it wide open. Today it was freezing and patrons had to keep getting up from their meals and closing it. It turned into a running joke, a group of tables would start clapping whenever someone closed the door…which was rare! 😂

Disappointing service honestly. I have been to about seven different Grill'd restaurants and Frankston by far was the biggest letdown. The store is tiny so there is barely any room to sit and enjoy dinner, even with only two people. My burger was incorrect, not once, but twice. I had to request a completely new burger after mine arrived with incorrect ingredients. Will not be returning here unfortunately.

The selection of healthy burgers was good. The pricing was between $14 to $16 each, with extras costing around $1.50. The service was quick and friendly. We also bought share chips, which consisted of potato chips, sweet potato chips, and zucchini chips. Unfortunately I found the chips costing $15 wasn't worth it, as the portions wouldn't cover for a family of 4. Otherwise it's a great place to have a light meal.

We visited early on Saturday night. Food was served fast. Staff were friendly, attentive, and rectified one mistake quickly. The burgers were delicious, the fries were really good, and the selection of sauces is matched well, although I do wish they had a plain ol tomato sauce as well. The gluten free bun could be fluffier, but was tasty. Our friends have been before, and highly recommended we visit with them, and they enjoyed their usual low-carb buns. The kids meal is good value and includes a small wooden toy. There are no desserts. Tip: You should absolutely try the zucchini fries! ☆ Will definitely visit again.☆

The service was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the burgers. Especially the truffle wafts burger it was so succulent. The zucchini fries were a nice surprise and I don’t recall ever seeing them on a menu anywhere in Melbourne.
Came here out of necessity when there were no other open options around. All of my Grill'd experiences have been similar - I feel a bit ripped off is it's pricy for the size and quality but acknowledge that this is a relatively healthy, accessible vegetarian dining option. I do really enjoy the sweet potato and zucchini chips. Byo hummus, it makes a great dip for them.

Nice setup. Great place to eat before the movies. love the fries and Mr.Truffle Burger.

Delicious food, love the vegan cheeseburger. Although I wish they had more vegan options or that more of the vegetarian burgers could be made vegan. Service here was not the best as one waiter looked like he absolutely hated being there and was very unhelpful. Another one was absolutely amazing, probably better than you’d expect at Grill’d.

Came pass here to grab some take away. Entered and were greeted instantly besides the place being fairly packed so a fairly good start.

I ordered the vegan garden goodness burger and some chips, which were reasonably priced considering the quality. The patty was incredibly well cooked and tasty, and the burger was put together nicely. Probably a bit heavy handed on the beetroot for my liking though.

The food was served cold after a long wait! The Caesar Salad did not taste like a real Caesar Salad! The ambient was good though. Overall, I would not recommend it!

I'll start by saying that I am one of those people who orders salad at a burger joint. Are you done laughing now? Ok let's get to the review. This place is only a short walk from my work so I have spent quite a bit of time here. The service is always top notch - they have these wooden sticks on the table with red and white ends. If you need anything you turn it over so it's red and someone will come to your table. The food always come out quickly and never disappoints. The serving size is quite generous - I'm never hungry afterwards. Always a winner 👍

Enjoyed a lovely meal x 3 of us, prior to going to movies. Personally, i hve never really been a burger kinda gal - BUT having tried these burgers its changed me (well probably only Grilled - Burgers) i very much enjoyed the burgers. We all had mixed burgers, i had mini slider burgers, YUM 😃 !!! Would absolutely highly recommend & i definately will return. Service was very prompt & helpful. It was very busy with patrons & also lots of take aways. Says it all 👌 TY, PAULA

Had the sweet chilli chicken burger, was quite nice and the meat was cooked to perfection, my favourite side of the sweet potato chips are quite a hit. Average waiting times and nice venue.

Very disappointed!! So looking forward to checking out Frankston Grill'd. My partner had the " Clean & green salad " and I had the trio Sliders with a regular chips plus drinks. Salad was soggy with no flavour. Definitely not freshly made. Chips were warm not hot and tasted like they had been cooked for a while. At $5.50 for a regular serve I expected decent chips at least. Sliders were just ok, again no great flavour. Spending $48.50 I felt this was very poor value for money. Southland Grill'd way better. Very disappointed as I thought we finally had a good burger joint in Frankston!!

Good spot to go grab some lunch. Friendly staff and good food. Pretty busy but lots of seating, inside and out. They donate to charities and you get to pick which ones that your money goes to.

Came in recently and it was good! Staff were very friendly, nice place. Good took a while given how quiet it was but we weren't in a rush, I was just glad to be able to get something gluten free & vegetarian without much fuss! It was funny when my burger came out without the actual patty in it, but staff were quick to notice and fix it without me having to say anything. For my partner (non vegetarian and non gluten free!) it was a little expensive compared to other burger joints, but for me was an average price. Main complaint is that the sweet potato chips to share was actually a fairly small serve. Overall good experience!
