Loved Rosie's! My partner and I were driving past and couldn't resist going inside. The staff are lovely and happy to have a chat, the coffee was fantastic and the food was excellent! Service was quick and I can't wait to go back and try out some of their other stuff. They also support local artists by displaying and selling their works, a beautiful local gem.

Tucked away in Frankston South was this great little café. Rosie & staff were very warm and enthusiastic with their customer service and about the products/menu. I tried the famous french toast muffin...divine! Will be around for her soups and other trademark lunch dishes!

Have been to Rosie's many, many times since the last review and before. Coffee still great, place still super friendly, food still yum! ******* At first, I was not very impressed (months ago), as my French toast was swimming in a plate spilling over with syrup, and some waitstaff were a bit impolite. Have tried it many times since, with wonderful experiences every time! The staff are friendly, Rosie is a talented cook, with simple but delicious meals. The French toast muffins are my weakness. They are very kid friendly, and have comfortable family style dining tables & chairs now in the middle of the cafe, instead of the slippery and uncomfortable ones they used to have. Coffee is lovely.

We have been going to Rosie's since we moved to frankston in 2016tge staff are friendly and curtious the food we can never say a bad word it is always fresh delicious and very filling and Rosie always takes the time to have a little chat with you. It's our favourite place to eat especially for brunches on the weekend 👍

Oh my goodness, I have just finished the salmon fritters and they were totally delicious. The staff and owner were absolutely lovely, and I can't wait to take my husband and kids back for brunch... every weekend! 😁

We had a lovely snack at this delightful cafe yesterday. Plenty of room for all and not squashed up and feeling awkward overhearing conversations from adjoining tables. The French toast muffins topped with maple syrup and double cream are amazing.

I was deciding on what to do about catering for my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary party when i couldn't pass the opportunity to have Rosie cater for the event as my parents are regulars.. Rosie was so hopefully with the menu she had plenty of suggestions and knew everything mum enjoys as she is gluten intolerant. Everyone was raving about the food and couldn't get of enough of it. The food was even delivered to the door and placed on beautiful plates so all i had to was unwrap and it was ready to go, my stress levels were eased knowing that. I would recommended Rosie's to anyone great food, great service always greeted with a smile.. Next event I wouldn't hesitate to use Rosie's again.. Thank you so much again;)))

It's nice to not have to drive into the hustle and bustle of frankston to find a great place to sit and eat and chat. Great coffee, excellent food, this place has good vibes. The girls are lovely, service has been perfect so far. My nee favorite spot I think. Bravo.

Rosies has been my local coffee supply and hangout for about 3 years now.
The coffee is always consistently good as well as the food consistently yummy.
It's a family run cafe and I'm always treated like family when I bring my 2 year old son for a baby-chino at least once a week.
They also do coffee loyalty cards which is fantastic if you go regularly like me.

Absolutely not child friendly I'm afraid.
This is the second time I've been there. The first time I was not particularly impressed by the food but overall it wasn't a particularly terrible experience. There are very limited local cafes and so I stopped by with my 3yr old. In the less than ten minutes we were there, the owner clarified a clear order for a plain croissant then proceeded to pop something on it anyway, could see from the kitchen that it was not what he wanted but didn't offer to fix it. My child at first got upset about the food then calmed down after I spoke to them and was unfortunately kicking on their chair for a whole of five seconds before the owner decided it was ok to yell at them. She then confronted us as we went to politely pay and leave telling us it was her restaraunt and she could do what she liked making a scene in front of all the patrons.
In short, unless you have perfect children who understand how to be seen and not heard, or you'd like them to be disciplined by an angry middle aged woman, don't bother.

Good food, coffee is reasonable but not great. Staff and owner are very friendly. Somewhat baffled by other people saying the owner and staff are rude. Have been here on a number of occasions and both were fine.

Lovely friendly staff, delicious simple food and good portion sizes. Child friendly! The fit out could do with a spruce up but it’s a good spot for breakfast or lunch with family

Been going to rosies since it opened a few years back. Rosie and her staff are lovely, the food is delish (generous serves. Anything with the homemade hollandaise, yum!) and the coffee is great. Super kid friendly. My son loves it too.
Highly recommend!

I really wanted to support this local cafe but in walking in and being shocked by the exorbitant prices for brunch (eggs Benedict $22-$25!!) I just couldn’t do it. I’ve never been to a cafe in inner city Melbourne (where I live) that charges such high prices! Absolutely ridiculous for a Frankston cafe to charge these prices.

Staff a bit rude and unfriendly. You didn't feel like you were really wanted in there.
Menu is very limited and not much variety. Food itself is ok but is definitely overpriced for what you receive.
I wouldn't go here again. Not a nice atmosphere at all.

Recently had lunch here and couldn't have been more disappointed. As someone with fructose malabsorption I was delighted to see "gluten, dairy & fructose friendly frittata" on the menu. However when it arrived, the frittata itself was full of chickpeas, the salad laden with cabbage and there was a side serve of beetroot relish - all very high in fructose/fructans. I took my plate up to the counter and politely informed Rosie that chickpeas are not fructose friendly. She said "oh, aren't they?" And went back to what she was doing. I sat back down and began trying to pick out all the offending components before giving up and returning to the counter. I informed the waiter I was unable to eat the meal due to its high fructose content. Rosie came over and advised him not to charge us for the meal, however she did not address me and the waiter said nothing, just took my plate and walked away. I sat, eating nothing, while my companions ate their toasted sourdough sandwiches with chicken, which they ate less than half of due to their dryness. Upon leaving I approached Rosie again and said that, while I think it's great they are trying to cater for people with dietary needs, perhaps they could research more carefully. I also said I found her earlier response quite rude and that no one offered an apology or an alternative meal. Her response, a very brusque, "I don't think I was rude and I assumed you'd ask for something else if you wanted it." When I said we wouldn't be back: "That's fine darling". Nice.

Had breakfast here today. It was nice the coffee was very good I'll say that. The food was ok, it was nothing special. It was tasty but food you could make at home. The service was really good the staff were very friendly. The prices were also a lot more expensive than the menus on zomato.

Best coffee on the peninsula, super clean kid friendly and always something different to try. Itemised billing is my only suggestion for improvement :-)

Great New Cafe. I recently took my family for breaky to this new cafe. The place was spotlessly clean and everything is new and modern. The staff were very friendly and the food is great and excellent value for money. Worth a visit - I will be back!

Rosie's, getting better everyday !!. I am a Business Broker and specialize in selling Cafes. I own the No 1 ranking website in Australia for selling Cafes
(www.cafes-for-sale.com.au ) so also believe I am qualified to comment.
Opening a new Cafe always has teething problems. The coffee from day 1 has been fantastic and the food simple, but lovely to eat.
Fiona and Rosie are always happy and very lovely to deal with , even pleasant to the few grumpy people that I have seen there.
It is a very friendly atmosphere, very clean and I would take my own Mum and Dad there.
Great job girls and all the people I talk to, love the place. Cheers Michael Keltie. L.E.A Business Sales Victoria.

Little piece of luxury. Love having my morning coffee at Rosie's. Friendly and welcoming place. Fiona is my coffee goddess... Put Rosie to the challenge today and no surprise she made me a coffee fit for a king.. So happy to have our own taste of luxury in sunny Frankston. Xxxx

*Coffee review* unfortunate.... *Coffee review*
unfortunately after a second visit, coffee is just not doing it for me.. Very weak, maybe not ground fine enough, or dosed high enough, possibly a short pour, as the flavour is kind of there. But due to this, on both occasions not much flavour, and milk needs a bit of tweaking. I will however be back to try your delicious looking treats and breakies!

Great atmosphere and fantastic breakfast. Really lovely little cafe with a menu that, whilst not wide, is well chosen and ha great quality. The eggs benedict I had was genuinely one of the best I've tasted and superb latte as well. Really great atmosphere and definitely worth checking out!

Really good. Went today and the food was beautiful and service was excellent. Highly recommend.

-----28 Feb, 2015-----

Third visit. I went there for lunch on Saturday with my family. The coffee was good,Dimattinas, as compared to last time. Food was good.

Any criticism would have to relate to service. The plates weren't cleared from the table for at least 30 minutes after we had finished. On paying we were not given details of what was charged nor was an itemised account provided.

On the second time we went there a cake and hot chocolate was ordered but we didn't receive it (same waitress), we weren't charged for it but very disappointing.

I hope it improves because we need a good cafe in the area.

-----03 Feb, 2015-----

Sunday breakfast. It was the first week of operation so they may improve. Service was keen and the inexperience of the staff was obvious. Waitress came to take order but didn't have a pen or pencil and had to go and find one.

I had bacon and eggs. The eggs had been obviously cooked before the bacon and was barely warm. The coffee was ok but there was no display as to whether it was Lavazza, Vittoria, grinders etc. and it tasted like it was from a cheap brand.

The ambience was spoiled by the smoke detectors going off with an ear splitting sound which seemed to take staff a long time to stop.
I

When settling up we were just given a total amount to pay, rather than an itemised account or at least checking the items charged with us.

Hopefully it will improve.
