Review Stacks Pancake Bar - Frankston

First time customers. We didn't really know what to expect but we thought we'd give Stacks a go for breakfast. We personally did not enjoy our food but it is great for kids and I know many people would enjoy the huge American style serves. Personal experience: I ordered bacon and pancakes which comes with whipped butter and maple syrup - requesting crispy bacon, a latte with sugar and an orange juice. On arrival the bacon had some crispy/burnt bits but mostly undercooked where the fat hadn't even begun to render, it was thick cut, very generous in quantity. It came with 2 buttermilk pancakes which were large and thick, fluffy but heavy. A very small amount of maple syrup (but we were brought a bottle for the table on request). Coffee was large but tasted like watered down milk, had no sugar but I didn't want to drink it anyway so didn't ask again for the sugar. Juice was terrible, long life fruit drink style you get on the supermarket shelf. Very reasonably priced and quick service but it's not for me.

I've been coming to stacks for a number of years now and have never been disappointed. It's recently changed management and the new menu is fantastic. It's hard to find a good outlet which does pancakes, so this place is an asset to the community. Get down and try it today.

Good pancakes, good portion sizes however the staff were very inattentive. Got sat down, menu given, then waited about 20 minutes before I had to get up to get a wait staff to tell them I wanted to order.. On the other hand, another family got sat down and their order taken within 5 minutes.. It was also probably because we were sat behind a big group but it is no excuse..

Fast service, excellent staff. The pancakes taste a little like baking powder, but they are very fluffy. I'd come back if I were in the area and craving pancakes. Music was low enough to have a conversation. Comfy bench seats. Nice large tables that aren't overly stacked with chairs. The layout and design is really thoughtful. Decent selection of teas. We had the banana pancake and the wall street one. Lots of bacon on mine. The bananas were settl seasoned with cinnamon.

OMG!!! Deliciousness!!! The chicken strips were so crispy and tasty! And the Tom Tam Special Pancakes were drool worthy. Staff were lovely, attentive and super swift. Prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back as soon as possible!

The pancake is fresh and fluffy however it feels like it can have more sauce (e.g. The Nutella pancakes only have Nutella on top but not in between later of Nutella). Overall it is as good as Pancake Parlour.

Great taste, great value for a treat, nice staff

Waited far too long for our crepes which really shouldn’t take long to cook. The restaurant wasn’t busy but we had to ask the waitress multiple times where our order was..... Upon receiving our meals, mine had a hair in my ice cream, which definitely was mine as my hair was tied up in a bun. The waitress apologised and refunded my meal.

It was our first time visiting tonight. A family dinner for my daughters 16th birthday. We were impressed. Although there were plenty of other diners. The restaurant was not loud. The atmosphere was great. The food was fantastic. And the service even more so. The wait staff were absolutely lovely. Very friendly and only to happy to help with what ever we needed. We all had a wonderful evening. And are very much looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you to your amazing staff for making our night so enjoyable :)

Very friendly staff and promt service. The girls that served were lovely and could not do enough for us. The food was ok, but over priced for what it was.

Had a great evening at Stacks Pancake Bar Karingal Friday night. Delicious meals, the Parma and desserts were scrumptious ! Very friendly staff and very cosy atmosphere. Will be back again soon !

been here 3 times in as many weeks and love it been trying different things on the menu including banana jamaica, chocolate fudge pancakes and stacks burger all 3 10/10 next trying cheesy potato pancakes and also wanted to suggest some pancakes to think about selling an Oreo one and a peanut butter and jam one

Staff were fantastic with my young kids, food was delicious and came fairly quickly considering it was a public holiday. Great place to take the family!!

My hubby and I were there yesterday for Lunch it was a special occasion for us as we were celebrating 31 years of marriage,we had a very nice meal made even nicer by the lovely English girl that looked after us.Thank you for helping to make our special day memorable

Ended the evening with the Death By Chocolate long stack.... do not do this unless you have 3 other friends to help you eat it...

Great milkshakes, terrible service. We waited 40 mins for pancakes that didn't come with no discount or show of good will. Will not come back.

If i could give a big zero i would be this is the second time i have been here and this time i was absolutely shocking we waited and waited it took aroind 40mins just too receive our drinks there was 5 people behind the bar doing a big lot of shit all i am paying for our drinks and leaving beyond to joke.

Been eating there for years and meals get smaller and smaller chips don't cost that much no more then 20 chips on my plate last night last time we go else where from now on

Good food and good prices great service and serves will be back.

I come to Stacks quite regularly however very unhappy about Sunday's visit, the wait to receive my pancakes when the restaurant was not a full house was ridiculous! 30 minutes for Chocolate fudge pancakes is a bit far fetch! I received 2 amazing coffees which made up for the delay but take this criticism to improve the delivery time of basic meals
