Review Red Fire - Frankston

Very nice looking restaurant with friendly staff. Meals are amazing and very cheap if you go during the week at lunch time. Cocktails are cheap compared to other places, they also taste fresh and like they should. Definitely go there again.

Found the expensive jalapeno burger disappointing, pattie not thick enough and bun was of a strange texture...wished I had my companions duck risotto that she throughoutly enjoyed, instead.

Decided to take my family here for mothers day dinner as my husband and I have eaten there several times previously, the most recent a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, this time was the worst experience, extremely loud music due to the live entertainment , very poor food , salad was actually warm and wilted on my plate. It took three times to get my kids drinks correct, we were served another tables drinks then almost served their meals as well. Very bad experience and disappointing Mothers day outing. Would not recommend this place if you want a nice meal and relaxing atmosphere.

Have not been to this restaurant in a while and will not be going back. $11 for garlic bread with cheese...when it arrived there were only two thin pieces of bread...not worth the price at all! Ordered the chicken schnitzel and had to scrape off the crumb coating as it was so over spiced I felt like I was eating mouthfuls of stuffing. The chips were the best thing on the plate. Not once did staff ask how the meal was, otherwise I would have given them feedback on why there was so much food left on my plate. $70 for two people who were both dissatisfied with their meals and will be looking elsewhere when looking for taste and value for money. Very disappointing. Also not sure that playing The Offspring is great restaurant music for a dinner setting.

I've been to this restaurant 3 times. First time was great, second time was not so great. Third time (today) was excellent. Based on some the poor reviews I've read, it seems that perhaps there was a changeover of management or staff where the service and food was not great for a little while. I can assure you it is great now. Service was fantastic and the food was amazing. I had the vegan pizza which was so huge that I had to bring it home with me 😊 will be back.

I must say i have avoided this place for years after a really bad experience with the old head chef (as a customer). I am glad that I have given the place a second chance because tonight was a very nice night. Our first date night for months and the food, the atmosphere and the restuarant service was great. Only reasons we did not give a 5 star review was due to the service received when reserving our table and that at the start of our night we felt a little rushed to order. Would reccomend looking for a nice place to eat before going to the movies, thank you Redfire fir not disappointing.

Have been to this restaurant may times and it has always been a lovely friendly place to go, but yesterday was the worst experience we have ever had. There were 3 of us dining. It was cold in restaurant even though the fire was on. We had to find the waitress to order our drinks and meals. Our meals arrived and they were very bland and not very nice. We were left sitting with our plates in front of us on the tables for over one hour when we had finished. The waitress came over and asked if we wanted anymore drinks but did not take our plates!! Our drinks took at least 30 minutes to come. The other waitress was straightening up newspapers and wiping tables that had already been cleaned yet there was at least 4 tables that needed to be cleared after people had left. I mentioned to the cashier that we were very disappointed with the service we received tonight as it has never been like that before and she barked back that they were understaffed and took offense to me mentioning how disappointed we were. I fully understand that it can sometimes be difficult to get staff to work but as patrons of a restaurant we are still expected to pay full price for the average meals we had that cost us $100 with nothing in return!!!! Which is as easy as friendly service !!! very disappointing end to the day!!

Sadly this place has gone downhill. So it's normally the spot for before or after the cinema, right? Well, this time was horrid. Dad ordered Avocado and Salmon Linguine, and I ordered the Seaford Linguine. Both came out stodgy, linguine stuck together and whilst the avocado and salmon one was hot with steam coming off it, the linguine on the seafood plate was ice cold. So they take it back, good I don't want it. Make a fresh one. The guy server that was one of the only waiter to seem like he cared, asked if I wanted the food reheated? REHEAT PASTA? SEAFOOD PASTA? Then he went and got the manager. To which we are told, that it was frozen not fresh pasta. Okay, but it was all stuck together, mine was cold and neither had any sauce!? The manager insists that the executive chef wasn't in and therefore didn't know to pass on that they needed to make more pasta? Guess what, as a customer paying nearly $30 for each pasta dish, I don't really care for your excuse, or what you may think was a valid reason that such a lack of effort was going into the dishes. How about instead of serving something you know is wrong, you apologise to customers and take it off the menu for the night before people order it! Instead of really apologising you just state your chefs don't know better? Poor. You then stated 'we'll take those dishes off the bill', and give you 20% off anything else. To be honest, I wanted to go home, I did not want to wait for anything else. Unlike my parents, they were, 'oh let's give them another shot'. Then every single waitress after I rightly sent my food back, ignored us and avoided our table. They did not ask how the other meals were. Every single staff member we then spoke to was sharp, disinterested and to be honest all looked like they would rather be at home. To which I perfectly understand, I worked in hospitability for a number of years. So in short, out of four dishes that were ordered, two dishes were edible. Fish and chips and Avocado Parma. Not bad, not great. Service was extremely lacking. Would I recommend? Never again.
