Review Fratelli - Frankston

Offering a wide-range of Italian dishes and desserts, FRATELLI Frankston is a great place to dine-in for families and medium to large-size groups. However, I found the prices were higher than average with the quality of the food being so-so. Nevertheless, the staff were very friendly and helpful when we visited.

First time dinning at fratellis, food and service was amazing. Will definitely be going back. Also happen to meet the owner of the restaurant who was very polite and welcoming.

Very nice pizza. Light, chewy base with a nice char underneath, almost like a wood fire neopolitan pizza. Also I ordered takeaway on Wednesday at about 6 and the girl with the slight accent taking the order was really polite. Plus inside looks great too nice traditional look to it.

A nice and cosy restaurant in Frankston. Visited this place on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Food and service both were top notch. We ordered meat tower and that was the right choice. Meats were cooked nicely. We will definitely visit again.

Hello. I just wanted to send a message to tell you how much we enjoyed our dinner tonight. We have lived in the area for 10 year and have only recently (in the last year) have started getting our take away pizzas from you... they have always been delicious! tonight we had family visiting and decided to eat in... Well the eat in experience was 1000 time better than take away. All our meals were delivered together, they were hot and bloody delicious. My dad is a somewhat fussy and nit picky with food but didn't have a bad thing to say about the steak he ordered. Your staff were lovely, helpful and friendly... each and every staff member we encountered was the same. The lovely lady that served us tonight (we were on table 21) knew her stuff and our interactions with her was very fun and light hearted... it was like talking to family. So I wanted let you know you should be very proud of your staff and establishment. We will be dining in more often. Thanks again for a delightful evening... kindest regards Christine

I have had my last 2 work break up here and the staff are always polite, friendly and make sure we don't go thirsty! I have been in many other times and have tried just about everything on the menu and the food is always good, well portioned and well presented.

Their pizzas are absolutely delicious and the staff are warm and friendly. The manager owner not so much. Have had an issue now and again and he doesn't really want to accept responsibility in any way. But the pizza is bloody good, and the staff are lovely, so I return.

So happy we found Fratelli's. Frankstons needed a leader for a while. Real pasta, quality toppings and fresh base's for the pizza. If you're a seafood fan, this is the place. Continuity seems overall good, sometimes my marinara has mussels that are seriously big and delicious but other times the prawns will dominate. I feel that they go for fresh and Im down with that. :) 10/10 for Frankston.<br/>Garlic foccacia is AWESOME!!!!

We has been customer for last 15 years, but for the last 3 times is been a disaster food over cook, no taste, or burn, tonigh we order de simple chicken grilled breast, was cold no taste at all, potatoes where burn, vegies, imposible to eat, definitely we won't camback any more, saad, because, is no cheaper then anywhere else more or les the same price, but the quality very poor.<br/>Hope my review get a bit of your attention, my $ 48 dollars waste, worst of all, was my 35 year dinner celebrations, feel solo sad and upset, I don't want to go back again, you people ruined my special night

Fratellis has been opened for as long as I can remember and we are always driving passed the restaurant. Staff are very welcoming and are quick with their service. Enjoyed the chicken Kiev and was very happy that they could accommodate with a side of rice for my grandparents. I expected more from the bruschetta as it is one of my favourite dishes. I think I would like to see it more on bread rather than a pizza base. Still, it was flavorsome and the arancini balls made up for it.

Located in Frankston on a main road not quite near the hub. I love their menu it really offers something for everyone, I'm sick of going to a restaurant and seeing the usual pizza pasta and salad and that's it! This place offers an extensive range which is great. You must come here at lunch and snap up the lunch deals as it works out more affordable I know the dinner menu can be more expensive and not really worth it. Had the calamari and chips, the calamari was cooked perfectly with a nice golden crunch layer around it was just very indulging. Overall the service was ok but we were never checked up on to see how everything was going.

Rude Staff including management over priced food if u don’t go on lunch deals. A hair was found on both occasions when dining in Argumentive staff not willing to rectify errors or dissatisfaction. whole family had stomach aches after both visits. I would never return even if I was paid to go back. Not worth getting sick over. From experience I Noted they write there own positive reviews. Don’t bother save yourself the stress.

Very dissatisfied. They can't make a real martini then they claimed we walked out on the bill which i undoubtedly paid. I had the police knocking on my door claiming i didn't pay for 2 drinks. Avoid this establishment at all costs. I was a loyal customer for 10 years but never again!

Great food, especially the $10 lunch which is great value for money with a generous portion size. The only thing that lets this place down is the service, which is friendly when staff seat you and take your order - however, no one comes back to check on you after you have received your meal, and no one comes to clear plates, offer drink refills or ask about desserts. We do love to come here, however the service could be more continuous throughout the dining experience.

Didn’t have a great experience here, first time dining here and we found a hair in our food and I felt it was over priced for what it was. Sorry, but we won’t be coming back.

We were extremely happy with our entrees, meals and drinks. The staff were very friendly and catered for our needs with a smile and the food was very nice, great place for dinner!

Really good food. Plenty of options on the menu. Staff are very easy going nothing seems too much trouble. there was no long wait for our meals to arrive.And it was good value. Will Return

It was ok. Parma half decent. I just found the background music really loud. I couldn't hear my friends very well. The staff didn't seem to want to be there. Friday night. I understand. My friend had a mexican parma. She didn't know what the difference was between the normal and mexican. I spotted a bit of green on her parma. Not sure what it was. Mayb one piece of spring onion. I wouldn't recommend it.

Lovely waitress but the steak my son ordered that was supposed to be medium rare was completely raw. Owner refused to give a full refund and claimed it's easy to make that mistake and even someone cooking a steak at home can do the same thing.

ADD VEGAN OPTIONS PLEASE. I attend every second week with family and can only order a garden salad. It's killing me!!! I want some proper food

Bleh. King Neptune Parma, served with bugs, prawns & garlic cream sauce, Sounds great right? Wrong.<br/>Parma was swimming in a pool of oil, chips half cooked, salad wilted and dressed with a cheap nasty oil, the whole dish was just cheap cheap cheap, oil, oil, oil, but that's not the best bit, instead of a nicely crumbed snitzel with some garlic cream prawns, cheese and a bug tail or 2 on top, it was tiny prawns from a can and bug tail over cooked so bad it was like chewing on rubber, but wait, there's more... instead of the bug sitting on top like the jewel of the crown, it was actually under all the cheese, how do you expect somebody to eat that? And what made it worse besides oily soggy snitzel and rubber bug, is that all the bug legs and tiny bit of dirt was all incased under the cheese. Worst dish in a long time, 2-3 little changes would have made it passable, but if your going to pay peanuts........<br/>Definitely will not return.

Awesome restaurant. The pasta sauces were rich and creamy, beautiful and well prepared. The pizzas were delicious with a yum base sauce and planets of toppings. The waiters and waitresses were very nice and made it a pleasant experience. Definitely would recommend.

Just popped in for dinner with my bf and the staff from the minute we walked in were friendly and happy to see us, For my meal I had the Chickn & Mush Crepes and it was that good, I was tempted to order another! My bf had a steak with eggs and he was thoroughly satisfied with his meal. My bf and I travelled around for about an hour to find this place and I have visited this establishment a few times over the years and I'm yet again happy to return. Great job Fratelli Frankston.

Very disappointed we waited over an hour for our meals! and the staff member was very rude! After they forgot our meals! He turned the lights off on us (we were sitting in the outside area) and we only just order dessert. We always go to this place and now we Will never go back again! Never ever seen such bad service in my life time.

I HAVE NOW BEEN GOING TO THIS RESTAURANT FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS REGULALLY, PARTICULALLY RECENTLY ON A TUESDAY $10 STEAK NIGHT. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY GOING AROUND. THE OWNER AND STAFF A VERY FRIENDLY AND CURTIOUS, AND PROVIDE EXCELLENT SERVICE. THE MENU IS EXTENSIVE AND WELL PRICED WHICH PROVIDES AN ALL ROUND PLEASENT EXPERIENCE FOR MY WIFE AND I. We have gone once or twice a week for 5 years and always get great food at a bargain price. <br/>Every week we go on $10 steak night and I have the salmon, and it is all beautiful. Hubby often orders a second steak! Friendly manager and staff, can't fault them. <br/>Manager tells me whole groups of people go in, eat all their food, and them complain and refuse to pay. What disgusting behaviour! Go away and don't come back, you rorters!

If you're going to serve undercooked and raw lamb please don't argue with me that it's 'medium rare' and that's the way you cook the dish and I should have asked for well done. <br/>How about just apologising and removing it from the bill - I'll pass on the side of attitude thanks. <br/><br/>

We attended this restaurant few days ago with a large group. Their Tuesday special was steaks night. I was cautious because of other reviews but turned out this restaurant have good food - prices were cheap, great and friendly service. We spent $31.50 for two well done steaks and drinks. Would come back again - great bargain!

Horrible place to eat! Worst customer service!! I also had hair in my food and didn't even receive an apology for it! Definitely would never eat here again. Absolutely disgusted with the food and the staff.

Dined here a couple of times now. Standard chicken parmi but quite dry. Pizza is delicious, cooked very well. Service is miss and hit. A couple of weeks ago we were sat next to the toilet despite an empty house.

This is by far the worst eating experience I have ever had. I started with a champagne cocktail (the orange juice was sour), I then had the spanish seafood paella. Bland, would be a huge understatement. The salmon was dry and unedible, the mussels were beyond tiny, 2 frozen prawns, tastless crab, and packet rice has more flavouring. Next the death by chocolate cake. The waitress whispered that it would need to be heated in the microwave as it was quite dry - at least she was honest! Please do yourself a favour and go next door to KFC.

So I'm just putting this out there on social media. <br/>If you go to any restaurant and place an order and you don't like it because it taste like it has just been thawed out instead of being cooked you have the right to return it for another ?<br/>Not unless you go the fratellies on Frankston Cranbourne rd they seem to think what you order is what you must have wether you like it or not. Then someone who ever he was that worked there tried to say that if you went to McDonald's and didn't like the Big Mac that they wouldn't replace it with another one or something different. <br/>Well fratellies you've lost some customers for good and this lady doesn't seem to think putting a bad review or any thing on social media will do anything or go anywhere. <br/>And as far as saying that this has anything to do with how I raise my daughters is beyond me. <br/>If I don't like something I'll say so

DONT BOTHER. The worst customer service I have ever experienced were told they would split our mothers day lunch bill got to checkout was handed a receipt and menu and told to work out what we were paying with no assistance (between 10 adults) the receipt made no sense as to pricing at all after everyone had paid was told $100 still owing when they had not written down payments already made..<br/>Our breakfast pancakes were like rubber and taste less when 1 serve was returned and asked for scrambled eggs on toast a waitress came over 30minutes later confirming the order of scrambled eggs as everybody at our table had finished eating I cancelled the order eating alone at the table is not my ideal Mother's Day ! And the hair in the bacon and eggs the manager came over to the table saying come to our kitchen all our chefs are wearing hats as my mother has bright red hair.. An then tried charging us for the bacon and eggs we went away,<br/> Very disappointed and ruined our family breakfast I would not recommend this place to anybody.

Great gluten free food. We travel from Parkdale to Frankston just to dine at Fratelli's. The owners and staff are great with their service to customers. The gluten free pizza with Chicken, pineapple and gluten free BBQ sauce is the best we've tasted. Well worth the drive.

Birthday ruined. Three trips to Fratelli's and been done twice.....no more visits for us.<br/>When I order a seafood crepe I do not expect a dish of sauce that tastes like a bag or tin of some cheap supermarket sauce.

Wonderful. I visited Fratelli's a week or two ago, and whilst nice enough, I found the food (a Chicken Kiev and a Twice cooked duck) a little over cooked. By a little it was enough to comment on, but not so much as to not give them another shot and return.<br/><br/>Sitting as I am at table 22 right now... having just had another Chicken Kiev and this time a Lamb Shanks, I have to say I am so very very glad I gave them another chance. The meals on this occasion where absolutely perfectly cooked and tasted WONDERFUL.<br/><br/>Of course both times the Staff have been amazing and deserve full credit.<br/><br/>If you are looking for a nice relaxed place to have a good meal and a great experience. Consider Fratelli's in Frankston. I doubt you will be disapointed.

RUDE service horrible atmosphere

Terrible. Worst service ever- when we tried to order delivery we were quoted 10 dollars more than the price on the menu and told that lasagne is not pasta (even though it appears under pasta on the menu) so can not be included in a pasta deal.When we rang back to query the price the woman (who said they were the manager even though the person who answered the phone stated the manager was a man and was busy) abused us then hung up. Previously when we ate in the restaurant the staff appeared terrified of the manager and the atmosphere could have been cut with a knife.

TERRIBLE!!!!!. I will never visit this restaurant again or order take away/delivery. The staff are so rude and what seemed to be the boss was abusing the staff and swearing. The restaurant is filthy. I ordered delivery - hoping to avoid the restaurant and ordered the pasta deal. It came to $28, shortly after a lady rang back screaming before I had even said hello and told me that because I had ordered a lasagne which is the same price as the other pastas and under pasta in the menu it was going to cost me an extra $10. I was polite and said no thank you and she swore and called me so many names. I will never return and nor will my family. Such a disgrace to what used to be a nice family restaurant.

Never going back again.. After many visits with varied results I have finally had enough of this place. Tonight I complained about a jug of Coke we got that had a strange taste, like there was detergent in the jug or something. We were told by Mario the owner that he tried the coke and it was fine. He never tried the coke in our jug. Anyway the place was pretty ordinary so I won't really miss it. Go somewhere else, the staff at hogs breath down the road are amazing so just go there. Mario can go and be rude to his next victims.

Been here three times everytime a disappointment. Keep returning hoping that it will be better next time but nah try hiring friendly staff and get some qualified chefs atleast hire someone who knows what there doing. the owner is an arrogant a hole so I guess it won't change anytime soon

Wanted a pizza on a Monday, and my usual place was closed. Thought I'd try Fratelli! Ordered a chicken supreme to take away. $12.50 - quite cheap! Got home, and couldn't get through the first slice. Probably the worst pizza I've ever had! It was so bland! Tasted like it had been thawed out and reheated in a microwave. Never again!

Service was disappointing. Wait staff was rude, unpleasant, would not smile and drinks took 15 minutes to arrive as well as missing a drink that we had to ask for again as they forgot. One meal came to the table no one had ordered and another didn't have all the food on the plate and was sent back.

Don't bother. I've been here 4 times now so this place has had plenty of chances to win me over. Each time they manage to screw up at least one of our meals. The staff seem to have no knowledge of the dishes they are selling. The place is noisy and the food is nothing special either.

What happened?. Yesterday, my family and friends took me to Fratelli Restaurant for a celebratory birthday meal. We often go to Fratelli for family get togethers because usually the service and the food are very good. But what I want to know is what the hell is happening there, and what the heck in particular, happened yesterday??? The service (when it was offered) was atrocious, four out of the five staff that we had to call over for some attention were rude and dismissive, major mistakes were made with some of the meals, including mine. Two tables of people, one of two and one of five; who arrived after us all received their meals well before us - despite the fact that we ordered before them and when any suggestion was made by us in a very civil way, that things weren't what they usually are, we were made to feel like it was somehow our fault...?<br/>The owner / manager(ess) who is usually very helpful and runs quite a professional operation, was not working both times we have experienced less than professional service, so I guess the saying, "when the cat's away, the mice will play", is very apt.<br/>Although I can't speak for those who came along last night, I definitely won't be returning to Fratelli unless they lift their game.<br/>Very disappointing.

Great prices, great service. Took whole family there including fussy eaters..staff were extremely welcoming and waited patiently and helped our fussy esters to choose and re choose..great family environment where you feel comfortable taking your children..was pleasantly suprised when i went to pay bill it was a lot cheaper than i expected..met one of the owners who was lovely and personally thanked us for coming..will go again

Great food, service & prices.. I am astounded in the amt of bad reviews. We take two disabled<br/>teens here regularly for two yrs. They go to extra teouble to make sure our seating is suitable. Both managers (Michael Snr & Jnr) always personally chat to us & ask how our meal is. We had a misunderstanding with an order for a friend & Michael Jnr sorted it out amicably & certainly didnt profit from what was my friends error. The waiters are always quick to serve us for order and then present the food. Food is perfect in quantity and I always feel the price has been cheap compared to other places. I am about to book again for Saturday night. I wont stop going there.

Terrible meal terrible service ordered the ribs were stone cold when I told them asked if I wanted them heated up naturally I declined, had to go upto the bar to ask for a drink

First and last time. Unbelievable . Ordered a jug of beer that was flat and tasteless. Staff were told the beer is completely flat and then served up another jug of the same rubbish. Ordered Bruschetta which never came and my steak which was a rump with chips after ordering the porterhouse was overcooked and the chips were deep fried with in an inch off their lives. The old man took the price of the entree off the bill like he was trying to do the right thing! WT.<br/>Left that poor excuse of a restaurant as hungry as I was when I walked in. I dont know how that place is still operating. Never again.

Shocking service from the female owner/manager. As we walked in there was a specials board located in a very prominent position. Lamb shanks for $19.95. Mum decided on that for her Mothers Day Meal. When it came to paying for the bill we noticed that they had charged us $24.95 for the 2 orders we had got. When we queried this the incredibly rude female manger said 'that was a mistake and we took it off the specials board'. My reply was well when we ordered it it was still $19.95 and we feel the right thing to do would be to charge the price advertised when we ordered. The reply from this awful manageress was 'Well we wont be changing it. You will pay the full price'. We were gobsmacked at the terrible customer service and complete lack of empathy. This restaurant is no where near good enough to be treating its patrons like this. Suffice to say thats the last time any of us will go back. fyi - food was just ok but only positive was table service by 'Trav' was very good.

Stingy. Normally pizzas pretty good however tonight's was very average. Wife wanted Hawaiian with onion and got a ham pizza with about 6 bits of pineapple and couldn't identify any onion. I suspect they have a new person making them , very stingy.

Reasonable price for what u get. Me and my bf went for a dinner last night in fratelli after the guy next door said they have been going there for a yr now and they r loving it. ordered a marinated ribs and it was very good. massive portions and i had trouble finishing in a good way. bf ordered ceasar salad and he said one.of the best ceasar salad hes ever had. will definitely come back.

Can't even make a salad. I asked for a ceased salad with a soft poached egg (the way it's supposed to be done ) & I was told I would be charged extra.....

Old man go home. Went for lunch with my son, quick service, food was good, waiter staff was friendly, but when it came to paying the bill staff couldn't open the register, had to get grumpy old owner who took there time, no smile, too much like hard work. why are you there? go home and let your staff do there job. made whole experience dred-ful.

Worst restaurant ever!!! Horrible owner yelled at the waitresses in front of everyone AND my chicken was still pink in the middle! Not the first time I've had such a bad experience here, will never go back.

Thought we'd try this local pizza restaurant. Two small pizza's with the lot, one minus the egg & one with, were ordered. The waitresses were confused on serving which pizza was which, my pizza was taken to the front of the bar where 4 waitresses stood inspecting my dinner... It was then returned to me with the feedback that egg hadn't been included, I had asked for egg as per their menu, the waitress then returned to the kitchen with my pizza- which had now been inspected by most of the waiting staff. What was then brought out to me was the most bizarre pizza I have ever seen, sorry I didn't grab a photo! Was a new pizza cooked for me? No! A fried egg had been placed on my pizza! Was anything done to rectify this embarrassing and astonishing served meal- no! Save your money. Many other great options around the peninsula, give this place a wide berth.

Mr andrew robrtson. Only ever get pizza from here and most of the time , very good. The only issue is i always order thin base and double check and then emphasise thin base. One in four times ( approx ) they give me a normal base , they need to listen and write requests down. Will go back but never again am i going to not check its what i ordered.

Awful. It took an 1 hour and a half to get the food. We couldn't get anyone's attention to take our order. Probably the simplest thing on the menu, (a bowl of chips) was the last to arrive. Will never go there again and won't recommended it either.

Sounds like hit and miss. We have eaten here many times and always enjoyed it. The food is good and service has been great. It is not fine dining by any means but good value for money. Look like many people have had bad experiences which is a shame and perhaps just what's happened that night. I guess consistency is not their strong point. We will return here with our shop a dockets, it gives families with less money the chance to eat out every now and again.

NEVER AGAIN!. I went to Fratelli's for lunch. I will never eat here again. The waitresses were pushy - asking us for our order basically as soon as we had sat down. We were asked multiple times by different waitresses for our meal order within a short time of being seated, despite saying the first time that we were still looking at the menu. When we did order drinks, these took way too long to arrive at our table, particularly given the eagerness (pushy) of the waitresses for us to order. <br/><br/>My boyfriend order the risotto. When the meals arrived, they gave him gnocchi. Upon him saying that the order was wrong and he had in fact ordered risotto, rather than apologising and bringing him the correct meal, the waitress went to check with the waitress who took our order. She returned to our table remarking that the waitress took our order said he had ordered gnocchi. When he disagreed, she continued to debate with him about his order before finally changing the meal. <br/><br/>Also, shortly after arriving, we asked whether there were disabled toilets. The waitress we asked told us she would need to go and check/ask someone. She returned telling us that there was, and showed us where they were. Upon seeing what they class as a 'disabled toilet', we mentioned that it would not be accessible for me as, being in a wheelchair, the cubicle was the size of a regular toilet. It was in no way a disabled or accessible toilet. The waitress was so rude, did not apologise but simply remarked 'well we've had people in wheelchairs before'. We were forced to then head over to McDonalds to use their toilets. <br/><br/>Will never eat here again. Not only is their food tasteless (ravioli tasted like it was from a can), but their staff are rude. Poor customer service.

Often a choice of restaurant for many of our family occasions, good value meals and the staff are always very friendly :) <br/>Sometimes a little slow to return to the table for extra orders but I understand it does get busy :) <br/>Overall a great place to dine.

Won't be back until.... ...They do the right civic thing and clean off all the graffiti that is covering the place. The food is Ok (you get what you pay for) but it looks like the place is a ghetto and really brings down the neighbourhood. Do the right thing Fratelli! Until then I, and all my family and friends, won't be back!

Arrogant waiter. Not very accommodating. Wouldn't substitute a soft drink for a juice from the lunch specials, even though they're the same value. Huge meals but I wouldn't bother taking the left overs home.

Great variety, really good food, good value and friendly attentive service. You have to travel the USA to beat this. Highly recommend..

Was having a nice family meal till I almost swallowed a piece of plastic in the sauce on my cannelloni. We told the waiter he didn't seem bothered, so my husband told the owner on the way out when paying the bill. No apology, no discount on the meal, he just said oh I know where that come from a faulty container I will speak to the suppliers! I get these things can happen but the whole attitude about it was appalling. Never again and now it's on FB Mr Fratelli so it will cost you a lot more in custom than just giving us a discount or an apology.

WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN, the owner for starters has an attitude and a half. Customer service was crap, waited an hour and 20 minutes for our meal while noticing other people had been getting there's before ours only to be told by the owner ( well you should have come up and let me know you hadn't received your meal yet , easy as that ) umm no mate. you should be on top on your customers orders it wasn't even a full house! well the meal wasn't even worth the wait. there's a KFC next door that serves a better meal and customer service to anyone that's keen on trying fratelli's.

Waited an hour and a half for main meal food was basically thrown on the plate steak was over cooked and didn't get a Greek salad with the meal I ordered or even the tziki I was meant to get with my food . Owner was rude and said it was our responsibility to ask for our food when it didn't come even though 7 people were served before us that got there after us . Will never eat there again

It's as bad as they say. Went in, visiting from out of town. Placed at a dirty table, glasses were cleared and the mess left was not addressed for 10 minutes, the owner ( I'm assuming is the owner ) whom takes payments noticed and came and apologised for his hopeless staff. Then waited another 10 minutes before our order was taken. We finally left with empty tummy's after waiting a hour for a large pizza n 1 large pasta that we could not sit and wait for any longer ! There were a lot of unhappy faces in the restaurant that were in the same boat ! Avoid avoid avoid !!!!

Enjoy the food. I always enjoy the food when I go to Fratelli. The serving sizes are really good. I think the boss is hard on his staff though constantly bossing them around. At least he cares about the quality of service to the customer.

After my partner was asked if he enjoyed his meal (which he didn't- the steak was very fatty & full of gristle, and very tough) the managers reply was 'well why didn't you sent it back' - not the response I expected.... It's not our fault you serve cheap nasty steak!

Disgusting, went there to celebrate my parents 48rh wedding anniversary. My dad ordered Greek Lamb, 9 teeny pieces of lamb, salad and wedges. He complained, meal was sparse to say the least. One person came heard the complaint, then this face pierced rude red head, says what do you expect dad said LAMB. He sent it back saying he was not paying for it the rude red head walks into the kitchen, pulls a face and says he doesn't want it. I could see her because we were seated between the kitchen and the toilet. When the owner comes to our table to ask what our problem was he said its 300gm of lamb. Seriously it was as though the meat was scrapped off a lamb skewer. Not wanting to hear my dads complaint he huffed and puffed and said what do you want again my dad replied LAMB. Combined with the poor seating rude service and poor treatment. My husband walked out, I told them never again handed over money for a meal I didn't eat either and left. You can pay a lot for advertising but word of mouth is your worst advert. And boy will I spread the word! Thanks for wrecking a family's celebration.

Over zealous staff wanting you to place an order then leave you thirsty because your drinks been empty for over 20 minutes .... BAd customer service and food wasn't overly great ...

Won't be back. 'there tonight for my son's birthday,15 people, meals were slow to arrive ,drinks were badly mixed, and overpriced,meals were really sub standard and overpriced.some were hardly touched none of us will be returning any time soon .avoid or buy Macca's

Terrible takeaway service. 1/2 orders were wrong and 1 didn't even come. Delivery man was nice enough to go and get us the order and bring it back free of charge. Sloppy service twice in a row.

Went there for a $10 steak night (Tuesday) and had amazing service, amazing steak and sat in the amazing outdoor area. Loved it!

Two Strikes & You're OUT. Lasagne was sloppy, very meaty tasting and massively oversauced. My wife and i decided pretty quickly to give up on it,and go for the safety of the Garden salad.Sadly,it was even worse.Not a chance that salad was made today.Limp,tasteless,and OLD.<br/>When i complained i was treated with disrespect.<br/>I was then given the excuse that Lasagne was really to hard to make in a Pizza restaurant,and i should have ordered something else.<br/>Whatever i order next time it will be someWHERE else,that i guarantee.<br/>I ate an equally awful meal here 6 months ago,but decided to try again,stupidly.<br/>Never again will i throw away a hefty $49 for the fare that is served up at this sub-standard Frankston slop house.

Great pizza. My girlfriend and i order take away pizza from here all time, have never been let down by them.<br/>This time we decided to eat in a the restaurant, my girlfriend got the caeser salad (was fresh and she said tasted amazing) and i ordered the chicken parma. Probably the best parma ive had in a long time.<br/>All in all if you after good food thats not expensive, i recommend Fratelli's.

Frozen food reheated badly. We have been there a few times and each time we have pasta, it's barely warm, which is a worry when there is reheated chicken in it, the lasagne is ALWAYS cold in the middle - Salmonella anyone?<br/>Last night??? The canneloni was still frozen in the middle and the owner went on and on about some BS health regulation excuses which didn't even make sense. If I want frozen food reheated, then I can get it out of my own freezer thanks very much. Never ever ever again.

Mother's Day. DISGRACEFUL... we made a booking expecting to enjoy our meal. After waiting at least 45 minutes our food arrived but while still eating our main meal we were asked to finish up our meal and then leave as they needed the table for their "next sitting" which was never mentioned on booking. Not only were the owners rude but they did not even apologise for the way we were treated, rather saying that was the situation and they needed the table. We were asked to leave in no uncertain terms, and with a mother in a wheelchair and 3 young chilren with us, no one should be treated as badly as they treated us. Whilst their staff were very embarrassed and apologetic there is no way I would pay money to return to be treated so rudely.

Mothers day. Bad food, bad service and over charged.<br/>I went to Fratelli's for Mothers Day and my Wife's all I can say is I'll never be back. We order 1 x Calamari and Chips (Tartar Sauce was off Calamari was over cooked and arrived 4 minutes after everyone's else),1 x Chicken Schnitzel (Chicken Schnitzel ok but gravy was crack on top) 2 x Reef and Beef (both were cold steak tough and over cooked) 1 x warm Lamb Salad (did not taste like lamb and sauce was ineatable) 2 x Garlic Prawns(too spicy prawns raw) asked for the kids meals to come out first and guess what they were last to come out overall we will not be going back. If I had to give them a rating out of ten it would be -1 out of 10

Poor form. Bad food, bad service and over charged.<br/><br/>I went to Fratelli's for a friend's baby shower and all I can say is I'll never be back. The moment I walked in there was a vibe of "sit down, eat, pay and piss off"<br/><br/>The staff were rude, unmotivated, and not helpful.<br/>I ordered some flathead and ended up with three small, dry fillets covered with an edible amount of salt, accompanied by soggy salad and average chips. This cost me $25.<br/><br/>I give Fratelli's a 0.5/10 -- with the only highlight being the bottled lemon, lime and bitters.

Tuesday steak night is great fun and atmosphere!. We had patchy service here during the winter 2011, the staff were giving people with shop a dockets grief and burned meals. <br/><br/>We didnt actually have a shop a docket and were paying full price, but we realised that they thought we had one, and one staff member treated us with comtempt and bad 'tude for the whole meal.<br/><br/>Come summer, when we went there again, the bolshie staff member was gone ,,, but the owner was hanging out, minutely micro-managing each staff member and generally get in their way, trying to be the man ...(I felt really sorry for staff, they worked so hard and were so good, but the owner was on their back all the time, just because he could) but the staff were still fantastic.<br/><br/>Tuesday steak night or Monday Parma nights are great, no dockets, just a cheaper menu, we had the best service, meals and fun a few times over.<br/><br/>We ate in the outside dining area and it was just a lovely warm night. I had another great steak ...friendly prompt service and a buzzing atmosphere. <br/><br/>This place rocks in summer, we'll be going back here very soon.

Unimpressed. We have been there twice now, hoping the ist time was a one off but on both occasions although the food was average and there was a good range the service was terrible, our orders were incorrect, we were overcharged and we had a long wait on the first occasion with no apologies made. There are 1 or 2 friendly staff but the rest seem to stand around and any requests for extras or particulars were responded to with rolled eyes as if passing some ketchup was a huge effort! We were gutted it didn't meet our expectations, or that we wouldn't even grade it as "ok" as we live locally and were hoping to find somewhere to frequent.

Well mannered and poliete staff. The food was magnificent had my mouth still watering even when I was finished, would recommend this restaurant place to anyone of any age. 10 out of 10 :))

The worst service EVER!!!!!!Would never go back again!!

Not bad at all. I've found fratelli to be my fave restuarant in Frankston. It's not a 5 star silver service, but when put into perspective, a $10 lunch of that size! And quite a selection to choose from. Mid week specials are ridiculously cheap and again, the serving size!! They are consistant, and you always know your getting excellent quality at great value. Service can be erratic, but I gotta say, at least they give the young ones in the community a go. As I said, it's not silver service, but they are young waitresses and for most, probably their first job. Good work Fratelli for great food, great service, and great community spirit.

DISGUSTING. We went there for dinner tonight and ordered 5 meals .After a long wait two arrived followed by a third about 10 minutes after.Then the well done steak arrived dripping with blood and the medium one was seared on the outside.We sent ithemback & waited 20 more minutes until they arrived again .One was medium & the other still dripping with blood & this time no veggies.Told them to cancel the order for the well done steak as the children had now been waiting 75 minutes and they were tired We paid & left <br/>The wait staff were nice & very apologetic but the old man was so rude as if it was our fault & the way he treated the staff was awful to watch<br/>DONT EVER EAT THERE. Its dreadful

Do not bother eating here. We booked a table for 9 outside for 7.30pm we get there a few minutes early to be seated inside at a table catering for 6, they fix the problem by adding extra chairs we ordered meals immediately waiting near an hour and a half and meals still not served we watch on as customers come and go befor our meals are served, 5 different groups off people have kicked up a fuss and left befor there meals came one in which had waited for 3 hours for a meal and when they finally get them they are stone cold. the staff are rude and arrogent, when asked how much longer we have to wait. and hour and 20mins pass and the 1st 3 meals come out all in which are not what we ordered, we had 4 children with us that were starving and meals coming out after 9pm when our kids should be in bed is ridiculous... do not waste your time or effort going to frantelli's they suck bottom line.

Nice Parma. Good food, Good value. Parma was very nice as was the Calamari. Good service.

Let's be REAL people... after reading these reviews I decided to see for myself... And WOW. The food was GREAT !!! what more could you ask for: the food was fresh, huge & cheap... You must go on Steak Night. Also I saw them making the pizza and it was good too. It's an honest family business run by some good old Papa & Mama... And I was told mama goes out into the kitchen and cooks her home made spagetti sauce... What more could you ask for. And the service was good considering the place sits 250 people on a busy night, so the staff seem to do ok & leave you along so you can enjoy your meal... And if i need some service all I need to do I wave my hand & the staff ate happy to help. So let's keep it real, if you want Silver Service best go somewhere else, but if you want good honest food at a very fair price in a casual setting, then Fratellis will satisfy.

Been several times and tried a couple of meals, food average to very poor, the main problem is you have soo many staff, yet no one serving and the old guy that is always there is happy for his staff to idle about I'n the staff booths chatting eating and drinking will paying customers have to wait or get up and order. I am not going back, shame as it could be a great place, take my advice and go somewhere else where your money and patronage are appreciated and there is better food

Used to be good. Went there again recently Thursday 10th Feb, for dinner after a previous bad experience there, (lunch time service was appalling, left there at 4pm after arriving at 1pm for lunch, vowed never again) <br/>Anyway, this time we were seated outside in the dining area. Everything seemed to go OK until problems started again. One main meal was missed out completely from the order., and the other main meal was also delayed. So consequently, some had finished their meals before others. By this time it was getting dark, and diners were leaving (around 9pm. ) We seemed to be forgotten as tables were cleared and we were left in the dark. We managed to catch one waitress who promptly turned some lights on for us.<br/>When the mains arrived, the fish was barely cooked, with bits of raw flour still on it (grilled fish). On complaining, the Manager came out and offered to recook a new one, without even asking what us what we wanted. So , more waiting time, eventually we just took the meal home as takeaway. They did apologise and gave the kids meals free, which I think was the deal on that nite anyway.<br/>Overally disappointing experince again

Excellent BBQ chicken pizza. Service is terrible during the week, but seems to improve on the weekend. Great for takeaway.

Never Again. Poor service, And while the menu claims ice cream with kids meals, The waitress refused to get my 7 year old her ice cream, This upset my daughter no end, and even when the waitress and manager were proved wrong they refused to back down. <br/>I'm voting with my feet and will never return
