Review Mr Frankie - Frankston

Daniel
Mr Frankie is a breakfast and lunch cafe offering a variety of unique meals and drinks. We tried their crispy chicken burger and berry compote crumpets when we visited, both of which were delicious! The place was clean and staff were very friendly. Definitely a hidden gem in Frankston South and a cafe worth visiting.

The chicken burger was amazing!!! So tasty. The chicken was not dry at all. The bun was perfectly sweetened and the sauce and everything inside went really well together. Service was great and we had the choice to order via a QR code and pay seperately in a group.

Mother’s Day brunch was brilliant. Something for everyone in our 3 generations. Avo smash was spectacular as was the Chicken burger. Chips for kids done to perfection. Thanks for making the day special. Loved the beautiful flower touch on each table.

Mother’s Day breakfast booking and limited menu , which was understandable as place was full. Ordering was at table via QR code however food came out at different times, with some finishing their food before others had received theirs. Toast was rock hard and cold and some other minor issues with orders ,however as mentioned , the place was packed. Extra $6 for two tiny rashers of bacon and $5 for the smallest serving of avocado is a joke though. Wait staff were great, which was the only plus to be honest. Second time here and previous outing was marginally better. Won’t be returning.

Enjoyed lunch in the sun today at this place! Great chicken burger and the home made ginger limeade was also perfect! Staff were friendly and service was super quick.

Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Meals were terrific and came out very quickly.

Dismal. The photo on the menu was nothing like the meal that was put in front of me. A dismal half serve. Very unimpressed When questioned, the waiter said … we’ll, they’re the same ingredients…!?!? Really?

Popped in for a takeaway coffee. Ordered a small decaf latte. Was told it was 4.50 (bit rich for a small/medium size cup). Anyway I asked if they could do a soy and she told me it was 20c more I said ok. Then after handing her 5.00 she said it was now 1.20 more. Like make up your mind upstart. I could buy a carton for that ! I said no stick to the original order. After waiting 10 mins (nobody was in the shop) I received a 7 oz mini cup of latte. Never going back. Wouldnt advise anyone else to either.

came here over the weekend for breakfast with some friends. while the food and service was good, when it came to paying the bill, I questioned the price with the girl at the counter as to how I was charged an extra $2-$3 on top of what I had ordered as something did add up. she advised that the extra charge was due to the surcharge for having staff work on weekends. sorry, but that is just wrong and a complete rought. you should not be charging your customers ridiculous surcharges, this should not be at the obligation of the consumer especially if you are wanting them to return. as a result for this reason, we will not be back.

Service was pretty slow. Had to clear my own table, get my own menu and then ask the Manager if I could place an order. The table next to us had to ask to have their table cleared. It was not busy and the had plenty of inattentive staff on. Sorry but not going back.

Mr. Frankie is a relatively new addition to Frankston. Nice modern decor that stands up against trendy city cafes.<br/>🍴 pumpkin and halloumi fritters with herb and cucumber salad. Crunchy flavoursome fritters with a nice herby salad. My friend ordered the omelette which looks not overly impressive but was actually full of flavour. Mr Frankie also does good coffee, so I recommend having a cup (or two). A downside of the cafe is that the menu is small and might not appeal to everyone’s tastes. <br/>💁🏼‍♀️ went on a weekday morning when the cafe wasn’t very busy. Service was quick. Nice staff.

Had eggs on toast with bacon and the pumpkin fritters with eggs which was delicious. The coffee was great! Food came out quick and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend!

A cafe that feels out of place especially in the suburbs of Frankston. So it was a pleasant surprise. A slightly pretentious vibe (my opinion) that would feel more at place inner city. However the service, food, and of course the coffee was excellent. I’d definitely recommend this place.

My son specifically took me to this cafe to try their coffe, which he said was very good - we live 10-15 minutes drive from here. Ordered 2 mugs of flat white. When they arrived was shocked to see that the mugs were only filled between half and three quarters full. On querying this I was told that if they filled it up - it makes it too weak! I have never been to a cafe where they do not fill the mugs up. How about adding more coffee to correct the ratio?? I wasn't surprised by the $5 price tag, but I at least expect to get what I am paying for. Very disappointing.

This cosy little cafe is decked out so beautifully- a slice of Melbourne CBD or urban St Kilda brought to the leafy suburbs of Frankston. Dubbed a “coffee snob” by the partner I highly recommend this for your caffeine fix was just perfect and food was fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

This is not a negative review, just a feed back for improvement. Hot chocolate leave much for desire, tasted powdery. Flat white, too milky. Hopefully, these will be improved in time.

Amazing cafe! Awesome vibe, GREAT coffee and food. A bit of Melbourne CBD quality on the peninsula. Couldn't recommend highly enough, a very welcomed addition to the neighbourhood.

Awesome place with top notch coffee, favourites so far have been the Zucchini fritters, vanilla milkshake, chicken burger with TRUFFLE FRIES. Such a great vibe, the staff all seem lovely. Very refreshing to see a revival of strip shops in the neighbourhood.
