Review Olivette - Frankston

Friendly, fast service. The food is well seasoned and has great flavours, with the occasional hiccup e.g a fatty bit of lamb. Portion sizes are large. Overall excellent.

The quality is always outstanding and the chef/manager particularly gives a consistent product with no fuss. I have seen him deal with all walks of customers ( mostly delightful ) however the few that are not, such as David McKinnon, really try to place a bad light on this restaurant. I am a frequent diner, and was there last night collecting an order when I see a female customer berate the business and specifically one person who had done no wrong and began to carry on. Please do not listen to the negative reviews, too many people have the ability for harsh judgement!

Ordered food numerous times via Deliveroo, food arrives hot and well presented. Delivery times can be 45 mins to 1 hour, which is well worth the wait. I keep ordering the Value Deal 6 (pizza & pasta deal) and have the Tortellini Pollo Fungi. The bomboloni and hot jam doughnuts are always fresh. One day I might order something different from their vast and affordable menu :)

Great night at Olivette. We had a large group and they catered beautifully. Nothing was a problem. Meals were terrific. Excellent service.

After mostly getting their great food delivered, we went to dine in for a change. We were not disappointed. The staff is lovely and helpful and gave us an enjoyable night.

Ordered food from here via menulog and Food did not arrive at our address, we had our windows and front door open all night and no food arrived. I contacted the restaurant and they said it had been delivered and where very unhelpful to the point that we had to go to the place in person to sort it out and get the order, when we finally did get the order it is missing one of the deserts a Pannacotta, it was for my wife on her birthday missing. And all this after over 3 hours of waiting and being messed around driving down there and explaining repeatedly we did not get our food ect. Sure I can understand there side if menulogs driver has stuffed up but the staff at the restaurant where so rude not believing us or something about it all when it was clear we had not received anything and where hungry and presenting in person to sort it out. Plus when we finally did get our food there was a whole desert missing from the order. And no one ended up eating any of the $131.40 order, because when we left the restaurant all the staff burst into laughter, so we where all quiet unsure what they may have done to our food ect. I will not be ordering from or going to this restaurant again, and would not recommend it to my worst enemy after encountering time wasting rude and incomplete services.. If you think you do not deserved this as a review, bad luck it is honest and to the point descriptive of our experience

They tried to charge us $110 for 2 meals ($33), 3 coronas ($18) and 2 mixers ($20). She gave us cash back after I questioned why it was insanely expensive, only after left we realised she didn't even give us the correct cash back, so we lost $20. It was my best friends birthday dinner.

The staff was polite however, the food is awful. No flavour whatsoever and gourmet pizza was worse than the Coles frozen pizza. The calamari was bland and the salad was awful

Home delivery pizza on New Year's eve. Garlic bread, small vegetarian pizza and italian meat pizza with lots of alterations. It was okay - we've had much worse but nothing amazing. Garlic bread was very light on the garlic. Price a bit high - possibly due to 80c price for each extra. $39 for two plus a soft drink. We get takeaway from here often and have dined in too- such a great local addition to the neighbourhood. Really generous portions and some of the best pizza and pasta I've ever had! The gnocchi was the softest most delicious gnocchi I have ever tasted- can't recommend highly enough! Love the great service too, super friendly staff every time.

This palace has really gone down hill. i used to love it.... No Italians here , Indians cooking, serving etc....Chicken parma is a pre bought/ crumbed thin thing, deep fried and lacking in any sort of flavour... Was charged $5 for a side  of mushroom sauce

There is a lot to be said about friendliness in a restaurant; sometimes it is more about friendliness than the food frankly. There is good food everywhere in Melbourne and one gets a bit blasé. When we go out we want more than food. This place has what is required. From the chatty waitress telling us her life story--but fluffing our order (and very apologetically correcting the error)--to the beaming lady thanking us when we left, it was a very welcome place to visit. The food was quickly served and excellent quality. Mrs B had a lovely seafood noodle, my son had a red gnocchi, and I had a great pizza. We went away very satisfied.  This restaurant is part of a chain and new in these parts. They deserve patronage. I recommend them if you are in the area.
