Review The Coffee Club - Frankston

I'm not one to write bad reviews but this place takes the cake for worst food at a restaurant. The cheese on the nachos were burnt on the top and still shredded and unmelted underneath. They put tomato in my sandwich when I asked for NO tomato. The nachos served up has avocado that was still basically frozen and there was no sour cream and we only learnt the reason for the absence whilst listening in to their conversation in the kitchen. Oh and the eggs generally go on top of the toast, not under.... 👀

Service just slightly better than terrible. Food was underwhelming for the price. When paying top dollar I do expect more than the fast food level of "service". I also don't expect to have the manager come over and start cleaning the table while I am using it because you have decided to close two hours early. Poor to non-existant communication.

Great tasting breakfast on a cold and wintery spring day in Frankston. Warm great tasting coffee. Friendly baristas with a great attitude. Great blend of beans. Highly recommend the flat grills.

The food was great.. but the service was not that much ... I used to eat at the coffee club, the waiters/waitresses were very welcoming, helpful... but at Frankston coffee club we did not feel the same..

Me and my wife went in here for our breakfast and spent $55 on 2 big breakfast and hot drinks.. we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for our food to come after checking in at the table on the QR code. We wasn’t told there wood be a wait on the food otherwise we would of decided to go somewhere else maybe. Just being Curtiss would of change this matter of us not going there again. Also food was cold when it reached our table the mushrooms were not cooked.. very disappointed with this place since they have revamped it… drank out tea before the food was even served to us.

I usually don't bother with bad reviews but this was the worst food and service I have ever received from a coffee club restaurant. We waited for 1 hour to get a breakfast of 3 full breakfast,smashed avo and 3 crossaints. After complaining about the wait our food then was delivered one plate at a time. The wait stuff didn't even know what the orders were. The food was so pale, not appetising at all. Raw mushrooms with blobs of butter, it was the lowest standard of food I have ever been served. I will never recommend eating at this restaurant again.

Feel that service was not great at all. Steak cold. Request not adheared to. Want to support the coffee club in Frankston, but the standard is no where near where it was. Dissaointed that this has happened..Cutlery not cleaned properly, barriers not held down with sand bags on windy days being dangerous. Staff are nice but this doesn't cut it.

Indian guy struggled to understand the orders not just from me. Toasted ham and cheese sandwich was way over priced and ham was like rubber.

Had lunch with two friends. Service very friendly, young staff but efficient and happy. Good range of meal choices. One friend was GF and there weren’t many options but she did find something and enjoyed it a lot. Some GF bread options would be a good addition as a lot of the meals were bread based or were served on toast. Corn and zucchini fritters delicious. Serving sizes were generous and meals came out very fast although we were before the main lunch rush anyway.

About average for a chain. I don't have 40 words. But the first thing I want to do is to use it to get the slipon back to the brigade. I have been told that I have to work till the end of the month.

Perfectly acceptable coffee place not far from the station. The service was pleasant, amiable and efficient. What else could you want. My long macchiato was very nice, to the point where this place could teach a few inner city cafes how to make this style. The space itself is fairly nondescript but absolutely functional. You take places as you find them. I liked it here. It’s a 3.5 for me on the old scale and I’d very happily return.

Just flat out so expensive for nothing good. They charge so much for a cup of hot water and a green tea bag! Let alone the prices for coffee and the chai latte my husband ordered was undrinkable. I have also received multiple dirty cups. I'm guessing they don't clean the dish washer or rinse the dishes before loading? Would be happy to pay top dollar if it was actually good quality.

Hi there, came few with a few friends and glad I ordered the burger because the brunch menu is really pricy and the quality of it isnt great. Also the barista that they hire is pretty bad at making coffee so paying premium prices for the coffee is obsurd. Do avoid this place as the price they charge is ridiculous for the quality you are getting. Would not recommend.

I am so glad I only ordered coffee, I used the bathroom and there was urine all over the floor. So disgusting.<br/>I didn't bother telling staff as one actually came out as I went in! And happy to leave it in such a filthy state.<br/>

Enjoyed a livery lunch with my mother here this week we sat outside even though it was a little cold it was heated and protected from the cool breeze mum had toasted chicken sandwich with chips and I ordered calamari and chips both where very tasty except the salad with the calamari looked like it had seen better days and was very limp coffee was alright but also outside you have to contend with birds and they could clean up tables a bit better bit dirty bird poop on salt and pepper shakers and tables had not been wiped down all day if the staff attempt to clean up quicker then birds might not be tempted as much service was fairly fast<br/>

I used to always recommend people to this cafe whenever they ask about it, but now I doubt I will be doing that. <br/>All changed just this Tuesday when I went to buy a hot chocolate and banana bread. <br/><br/>First the lady at the cash register was either new to the whole thing or just plan incompetent. First she got my order wrong five times, which forced me to repeat myself that many times. <br/>They said to my that it would take five minutes for both the banana bread and hot chocolate to be made, ended up taking 20 minutes. <br/><br/>The banana bread was extremely dry, petty much like I was eating the flour itself. The hot chocolate tasted mostly watery, as if they simply added some hot chocolate mix to hot water with hints of milk. <br/><br/>Very disappointed with the whole place. They should bring back the employees they had before and make it fast. <br/><br/>

Dear Coffee Club Frankston, if the cakes are stale, throw them out. Don't serve them to customers at $7 a piece. Very poor. Coffee was average also. Not recommended.

Staff nice, coffee terrible. I hesitate to say this because the staff were friendly and served me quickly but the coffee was no good. There was almost no flavour to it, there seemed to be chocolate powder on my latte (under lid) and it just tasted like a $3.90 cup of hot milk. Much worse than McDonalds. My wife said "I told you so" but no other places were open. We were already on the road when I realised how bad it was, otherwise I would have taken it back. I'm sure they can make a good cup of coffee but if they aren't consistent for each cup, the "Coffee Club" has no future. Their marketing on the counter said "we sold 29 million coffees last year". Surely my cup was one of the worst or Melburnians don't actually care about their coffee.

Oversalted and overpriced dishes. Uneducated staff.. I had an omelette and a salad. Both were oversalted. When I said that to the waitress, she started arguing as if she had cooked and tasted the dishes herself.

Keep on walking. I have given this cafe so many chances but it just keeps getting worse and worse. Their staff are slow and unenthusiastic and the meals are so so.<br/>Went there to get take away wrap (was already made up and sitting in the display cabinet) all they had to do was stick it in the toaster for 2 mins and I would have been out there. Well 15 mins later I was walking out after seeing my lunch sitting on the pass for 5 mins while the staff just stood around and chatted.<br/>Today they weren't that busy and it took 25 mins for my breakfast to come out. It does not take that long to cook some beacon and eggs even with a few orders on the go.<br/>Have finally given up on this place. Won't be wasting my time or money again.
