The best! Tasty, fresh, fast and reasonable prices. We also got a beef and black bean. Won't go anywhere else

We've been getting take-away here regularly for a number years and have eaten in on a number of occasions. The meals are always tasty and ingredients always fresh.

Best Asian food i've had in a while - was very clean and well managed by only 2 staff available!!

Very disappointed over the last few years we have enjoyed many dine in and takeaway meals but last night very sad we had a large special fried rice , honey chicken in batter with cashews and 2 vegetable spring roll. spring roll very oily the chicken wasn’t to bad not a lot of cashews but the rice was a slightly Grey browny sort of colour very tiny shrimps

Food was tasty but the service was poor. Was difficult to get any sort of attention, whether or not we wanted to order sweets or not, then even harder to get any attention to pay. Young lady knew how to smile but the older one, cold as ice, no idea of the value of a smile. Needs a course of happy pills. Another customer came in from the street, had waited 15 minutes and had to phone them from the front counter to actually get them to come out.

A spur of the moment decision to go out for dinner on a Sunday evening! And I was NOT disappointed at all. Lovely authentic atmosphere and decor, with minimul wait for a table for 3. A good sign was that the takeaway service was very busy!! Table service was with no fuss and quick. No awkward small talk, just down to business. Dim sims were good, special fried rice was lovely, and the sweet and sour battered pork was simply delicious-reminded me of the old traditional fare!! I will be going back again and am looking forward to another delicious meal. Thank You Lucky Inn.

Lucky Inn has been one of our locaL favs for many years. BYO for a start and the choice of dishes is quite large having that Malaysian influence. The majority of ther dishes are great and the price is right. You go with a few friends, order plenty and you are out for approx $50 a couple. You cant complain about that these days. Give it a go, and in these testing times, we need to do all we can to support local business!

Find the lady quite rude and to top it off I pull a bug out off my soup and still charged us nearly the full price of the bill

As always service amazing, food Devine! Happy Mother's Day to my mum. She loved her sizzling Chilli Beef, Dad had Mongolian sizzling beef and we had the salt and pepper spicy calamari which is our ALways meal there. Highly recommend. And dad mets are sensational

Love it. The owner and her daughters are so nice (and tall). Amazing food. I try Not to eat it too often cause I was getting it once a week and had to cut back.

First time I’ve ordered takeaway from here and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, it was delicious and not as oily as other Chinese restaurants I’ve ordered from in the area.

Really nice food (I was tempted to rate it at 5) but certainly overpriced. The service is good and prompt. This restaurant should have more light and better cooling. I think that their business is a little down because of the above reasons and because they are not in a central area.

Lovely food indeed, although slightly overpriced. Good and quick service. Relatively nice decor, but really dark.My suggestions to the owners: 1) When a customer walks in on a hot day, start your air conditioner and some lights, so that one can see the menu.2) Lower your mains and Chef's special prices by $ 2-3 without lowering the size or quality and you will definitely have more custom. You are unfolrtunately not located in a central urban area and it is not easy to reach you if you are not a local person.3) Advertise a little more with you lowered prices. All the best. I will return.

Awesome food, lovely flavour and awesome staff. The calamari is for the gods! With awesome taste and a lovely texture. Pretty quick too, however it can get a little bit pricey.

Nice restaurant but lots a bit dingy. Service is pretty good. Not the best flavour in the food but still quite nice. Pretty quick food about 20 mins.

The best Chinese meal I have tasted since living in Chinatown as a child. The vegetables were cooked just right and not an soft mush that I have experienced at most restaurants I have been to. The crispness of the vegetables with tofu and garlic made a great main course for me.

The food is not cheap but it is worth the extra cost.

Ate here recently on a Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of our meal. Really enjoyable and good size portions. Decor nothing to write home about but good food at good prices!
Hugh

My sister & I were looking for a Malay/Chinese restaurant to dine, first time at the Lucky Inn tonight. Very impressed with the food and service. Ordered banquet for two at $32.00 each - worth every cent. Sweetcorn & chicken soup, sesame prawn toast & mini spring roll and four main courses. Wow, did not get to have desert (banana fritter and ice cream) which was included in price as we were too full!!! Also loved the Chinese tea. Will definitely go back. Well done Lucky Inn.

A brilliant chinese restaurant. Staff were extremely friendly. Food was awesome. Would definitely seriously recommend. Best Chinese in Melbourne

It was delicious, staff catered to all of our needs and were effective and efficient. We loved this restaurant and continued to go once a week, until business started to pick up, waitress left, food went poor. We loved this restaurant and were bitterly dissapointed with the final outcome.

This was by far the most scrumptious honey chicken, sweet & sour pork and special fried rice I have ever eatten. The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. The only 2 cons: food was a little pricey (honey chicken $16 sweet & sour pork $17 small fried rice $7) and the lighting was a tad dim for a bright sunny Aussie day, nothing too bad to remove a star on rating. We will definately be visiting again. 5 stars :)
The Galloping Gourmand
Was mildy concerned when this local institution changed hands recently, I shouldn't have been. After couple of weeks settling in, Tracey & her family have this little gem running better than ever. Everything I've eaten here has been fantastic (especially, the roast duck) and the service is very friendly. Cheers!
