Review Ali Baba - Frankston

This place was absolutely rancid. Where should I start. 1. The pricing: it’s expected by the prices that Gordon Ramsay himself is about to prance out and dance all over your pallet and the expectation was not met. It cost me $8.40 and what I got in return was enough to feed a couple famished kittens. 2. The taste: The ingredients used seemed to be freshly grown... about 6 weeks ago at least. The chicken in which my taste buds had the discomfort of meeting, tasted like the $2 boiled hot dogs from Aldi. The Tzatziki tasted like watered down cream cheese and urine. I won’t go on and on but that’s the gist of it. 3. The service: it almost gave me a sense of culture, as if I had teleported to the slums or Iraq and was served by Saddam Hussein himself... the only words exchanged from the fellow over the counter were “Yes, Pay here and *Points to the prices*” Overall I’d say their slogan is a little bit of a hit and miss... “Your taste buds will love you & your body will thank you”. Where as now I am feeling very much so the opposite. My taste buds have now filed for a restraining order against me and my stomach is now slowly processing the absolute toxic mess in which this food establishment has given me. Thanks Ali Baba, I look forward to seeing the “closing soon” sign over the unwashed glass food display

Terrible experience, I ordered a chicken regular combo meal, kebab almost empty, dry chicken and COLD ALSO HARD TO BITE. They don't put the kebab ready in a hot iron.....so in a few words its a mexican taco....never again. The worst kebab in my entire life.

i used to love it because of the beef kebabs and the beef and chips aussie packs. the staff is cool and friendly, and i would eat there all the time. i even got others interested in their food. then they got rid of the beef, so i don't like it anymore.

These guys will get your order wrong but will expect you pay for it. Came here with my friend. We both saw this deal the restaurant was having with the 'lamb donner'. Thats the one we both wanted, and actually point at it. However the lady savering us for some odd reason gave us something completely different. And charged the both of us different prices for no reason - like we both had the same ingredients, same drinks and all, but I was charged ~$17 and my friend was charged ~$16. When we questioned about it, but the lady didn't gave us an answer at all. Lastly: when we questioned about why are we getting charged soo much more when we clearly stated that we wanted the $11 deal. All she said was: "oh! You have to say that you want the lamb donner." Even though like I said before, we clearly stated it by saying the name and pointing at it. You'll think that knowing that she made a mistake will actually just charge us $11 but no she just kept going on that "we didn't tell her" Like seriously what kind of customer service is that? You make a mistake but expect the customers to pay for it - how will you learn?

I had been a regular customer at this store for years, unfortunately the quality of meat and standard of service have dropped over the last few months but today was the ultimate dealbreaker for many reasons, firstly as soon as I unwrapped the kebab I noticed the garlic sauce was seperated and clumpy like off milk so not game enough to take a bite, I returned the kebab and requested a refund as I prefer not to risk getting sick from food poisoning, the owner proceeded to raise his voice loudly but avoiding eye contact from the grill counter which I found rude- Once my refund was refused I requested to see the use by date on the garlic mayo, the owner proceeded to grab a large unopened frozen pack of garlic mayo from the freezer stating it is the same recipe which clearly was not my initial concern but instead the freshness of the open bottled mayo which was not labelled or dated as per food handling requirements, this back & forth escalation lasted at least 5 minutes until I asked for the appropriate person to make an offical complaint, he then told me to shhhhhhh be quiet stop talking-again not an acceptable way to treat women or speak to customers when I refused he started swearing at me in his language which I can only guess were not nice words- Totally unprofessional and uncalled for causing a dramatic scene over sauce, should have just given my money back!!! Safe to say I won't be back

So disappointed and annoyed . The lamb was inedible. Chewy and fatty. $11.95 for bread tomato onions and lettuce! If i hadn't taken it home to eat i would've taken it back straight away!

Ordered 2x $11 meals they gave us cans 375ml instead of 320ml bottles. Rude service seemed like it was the manger.

Stale bread and VERY stingy on the fillings. Hubby went to get KFC after one bite. They need to lift their game to be on par with other Ali Baba stores!

Ordered 2 small kebabs at approx 4:00pm. Felt as tho I had interrupted something. $20 got me 2 dried stale kebabs. Will never go there again
